Hopefully a lot of the removed features listed in that linked thread are added back, together with the features that's in WMMA.
Also wouldn't mind a improved editor and converter (to decrease the modders workload). Another wish would be to bury the GIFs for once and all, by finally adding PNG support.

I would enjoy features that would make territory era mods more viable. Studio wrestling, more accurate regions, adjustable strategies for AI companies (do they want to just stay in the region, do they seek to expand...) more TV show types, including ones where main stars mainly wrestle lower level guys, instead of the AI booking TV like it's 1997. Things like this. Also shared titles, joint shows.

This may be long but here we go.
First, more countries, cities, and states in regions. If you see wrestlemap there are federations in way more countries then there are available. There's even some in Africa, and China. So that would be fun to add.
Second, mix up the 2 product systems of TEW 2020 and past games. The TEW 2020 products can be preset, and we can change the products up a bit.
Third, crossover ppvs are more specific, as you can have every worker from two companies on one show if you add this, like the wcw and njpw crossovers.
Forth, smarter ai. IDK if they can afford this, but I could have an ai which can make freestyle angles that have titles and make sense. This is so they can auto book shows that make sense while in sync with storylines and products. Maybe they can make storylines themselves.
5th, go a little more in sync with the times. Weather its the 1820s, 1980s, or today, just go a little more in sync. Like for the 70s and 80s, make the generated companies have names that go with the times. We can also have studio wrestling.
6th, everything from that list of things that were removed list, and the WMMA list.
7th, I may seem like an evil person just for this comment, but make a rare scenario where someone can die, or have a near-death experience in the ring which can hurt a company and workers reputation, popularity, and prestige.
That's really all I have for now. I'm sorry if the 7th suggestion offended you, but if it did, let me know.
*EDIT: Also, we could have Youtube type broadcasters that don't ask for much (or nothing), so tv shows can be automatic (also events) and viewers are more varied on popularity for your company, and you can get monetization.*
*EDIT 2: Also I was thinking a bout wrestling commissions. We kind of have this in alliances, but we can add laws in areas or regions that forces a company in that area to be in that commission and follow its rules*

To be honest something groundbreaking would need to happen for me to return to TEW.
whatever the normal development time is for TEW ... triple it.
from the zero insider info I have I honestly don't think we will get another TEW.
