Playoffs 1895 - Match 3:
Newton Heath vs. Everton
A classic from last year, these two sides would end up drawing the match last season, allowing Everton to take Newton Heath to Goodison Park, where the Division 1 side managed to defeat the Manchester side and retain their spot in the division. Since then, Everton have fallen to being the worst side in Division 1, while Newton Heath have won the Division 2 title. Give a shot at redemption and a chance to redeem their 0-2 run in playoffs, Newton Heath will face Everton once again. Newton Heath were eager not to fall to the same mistake twice and put forward a strong attack throughout the first half and dominating Everton. This all lead up to the Everton goal in the 35th minute to put Newton Heath 1-0 up at half-time. As the second half dragged on though, Newton Heath began to visibly start tiring and Everton started clawing back into the match, getting a couple of good chances in. This would never amount to a goal however and after 2 seasons away, Newton Heath will return to the First Division.

This is the kind of FA Cup final you like to see.
Sure in this timeline both are currently division 1 teams (and neither finished in relegation positions, so they're both at least decent, in this world and at this time) but in a world where we have mostly the same old dull names playing in and winning it (and some of those seeing it as secondary to a top 4 finish) it's nice seeing names like Walsall vs Derby instead of say Man City vs Chelsea.

And once that was cleared up, there was much celebratory butt slapping in Dinokea's thread.

Little fun fact that I'm sure anybody noticed, but between this season and last Newton Heath and Walsall Town Swifts swapped titles, with Newton Heath winning the FA Cup then Div 2, while Walsall won Div 2 and then the FA Cup.
