1989 for me, a great year in wrestling. The Mega Powers explode in the WWF and Ric Flair vs Terry Funk in NWA.

1989 for me, a great year in wrestling. The Mega Powers explode in the WWF and Ric Flair vs Terry Funk in NWA. There's so much going on in 89 even beyond those two promotions; Dusty Rhodes is between NWA and WWF, running a CWF revival. Roddy Piper's back in wrestling but not with WWF yet, helping out Portland. Jerry Jarrett's running both Memphis and World Class. AJPW is building up to the formation of the Triple Crown, NJPW's doing the angle with the Soviet wrestlers, it's a super rich year without a mod to cover it. |

I have always wanted 1988. You get to book the first Royal Rumble, first Clash of the Champions, and first SummerSlam. Along with in general having the rise of Sting and Luger and Warrior, Ted DiBiase was never more relevant, and the face turn of the Hart Foundation. 1987 is great, don't get me wrong, I love it. But 88 would be so much fun to me.
