RAW - Bagram Air Base - Bagram, Afghanistan - December 19, 2005
HOLIDAY WITH THE TROOPS
Once again the WWE headed over to Afghanistan to put on a huge show for the troops. This special episode of RAW opened up with Vince McMahon coming out and giving a patriotic speech and thanking all the troops that help keep America safe. Lilian Garcia then sang the National Anthem. The matches of this night included the Big Show taking on Carlito. Mick Foley dressing up as Santa Clause to take on Jonathan Coachman. Gene Snitsky defeating Shelton Benjamin who is on quite a losing streak. John Cena successfully defended the WWE Championship against Chris Masters and the main event of Shawn Michaels taking on Triple H in a Boot Camp match. After Michaels superkicked Triple H for the victory, the RAW roster all came out and celebrated with the troops. SHELTON BENJAMIN WINS THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP WITH A LITTLE HELP
After being on a losing streak for the past few weeks, Shelton Benjamin earned a Intercontinental Championship shot against the champion Ric Flair. Benjamin came out to the ring followed by the Nature Boy. The match begins and Flair hits his usual chops and punches to the challenger. Flair went for the figure four leg lock but Shelton rolled up the champion for a 2 count. Shelton then went for an offensive move but Flair threw him over the top rope. The two battled outside the ring with Flair lighting up Benjamin on the barricade with shots. Flair hit Shelton with his signature eye poke which caused Shelton to head into the ring allowing the referee to focus on Shelton for a quick second when all of a sudden a random lady in the crowd hit Flair over the head with an oxygen tank. Benjamin rolled back into the ring and threw the unconscious champion back in the ring for a 1-2-3 and to become once again the WWE Intercontinental Champion. Shelton Benjamin and the random lady celebrated with the championship belt and he introduced her as Shelton Benjamin's Mama.

BATTLE ROYAL FOR NO. 1 CONTENDER FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
SmackDown! opened up with the World Heavyweight Champion Batista and SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long in the middle of the ring. Long said that after Armageddon there is no clear cut No. 1 Contender and Batista's next title defense is at the Royal Rumble. Batista got on the microphone and said ever since he's won back this championship he's got a new fire lit in his belly and that it doesnt matter who he faces at the Royal Rumble match. Theodore Long announced that tonight there will be a Battle Royal and the winner will face Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble. The main event begins and the roster fills up with 19 of the top superstars in the ring. Batista and Theodore Long then come out to sit ringside. All of a sudden the theme of RAW's Kurt Angle comes over the arena and the Olympic Gold Medalist enters the ring before Theodore Long started the match. Angle immediately eliminated several wrestlers along side with Mark Henry. The final four came down to Bobby Lashley, Kurt Angle, Mark Henry and Rey Mysterio. Angle eliminated Lashley before Henry eliminated Mysterio. Angle and Henry battled before Kurt Angle dumped the World Strongest Man over the top rope after a huge chair shot to win and will now face Batista at the Royal Rumble for the World Heavyweight Championship. Batista got in the ring and went face to face with Kurt Angle.
Doing what he had to do, Kurt Angle rejoined SmackDown! and won the Battle Royal to face Batista at the Royal Rumble. |

RIC FLAIR FACES OFF EDGE FOR THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP IN A TLC MATCH
RAW opens up with the Nature Boy Ric Flair coming out to his "Flair Country" of North Carolina. Flair goes down to the audience and kisses his family before heading into the ring. Flair talks about how he wants to make history right here in North Carolina and become 17x World Champion. Flair talks about how the current champion Edge is a disgrace for what the WWE Championship stands for. All of a sudden the current WWE Champion Edge comes out and talks down Ric Flair, his family and his legacy. Edge talks about how these North Carolina hillbillies dont deserve to see Edge in action but there would be nothing better than to beat Flair in his own country. Flair then challenges him to a match tonight before Edge agrees and one up Flair and makes it a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. The main event begins and Flair and Edge battle all over the arena using whatever they can to gain the advantage. Edge set up a huge ladder and jumped off crashing through the announce table with Flair on it. Edge then hit Flair over the head with a chair and bloodied Flair up right in front of his family. Edge went and climbed up the ladder to grab the WWE Championship bout Flair hit a low blow on Edge bringing him down. Flair then climbed the ladder while Edge climbed up the other side. Both men had their hands on the belt but Lita ran up behind Flair and held his legs allowing Edge to grab the WWE Championship down and win the match to retain the WWE Championship. Edge and Lita left the ring while Ric Flair stayed in and waved goodbye to the crowd before Edge returned and speared Flair before attempting a 1-man conchairto. Before Edge can hit the move, John Cena come down and made the save before Edge and Lita ran off. Cena then helped Flair up and Cena raised Flair's arm in respect while RAW went off the air.  Ric Flair was fingertips away from being 17x World Champion but Edge with the help from Lita grabbed the championship belt first and is still the WWE Champion. |

FALLOUT FROM ROYAL RUMBLE; NEW FACTION DEBUTS AND A WRESTLEMANIA CHALLENGE
the Chairman of WWE and RAW General Manager Vince McMahon comes powerwalking down to the ring in a festive mood. McMahon gets on the microphone and talks about how last night Shawn Michaels failed to win the Royal Rumble (who was eliminated by Shane McMahon who was not a participant in the match). As Vince is celebrating, Shawn Michaels comes down and gets in McMahon's face. Michaels says he should kick McMahon's teeth down his throat but he knows Vince is a coward and would sue Michaels for everything he's worth. McMahon says that Shawn Michaels screwed Shawn Michaels by double crossing the boss. Michaels says that ever since McMahon has become the General Manager of RAW McMahon has had a personal vendetta against Michaels and he's sick and tired of being targeted by McMahon. Michaels challenges McMahon to a match at WrestleMania 22. McMahon says that Michaels has "No Chance In Hell" to face McMahon at WrestleMania. McMahon then says if Michaels is a man he would take out his revenge on McMahon right here and right now and challenged the Heartbreak Kid to Sweet Chin Music McMahon. Before Michaels could make a decision, all of a sudden six men come out and start beating up Shawn Michaels. McMahon announces that the new group of faction members as the new "Frat Pack" consisting of the returning Johnny Jeter along and Matt Cappotelli with OVW's Kenny Dykstra, Mike Mondo, and Nic Nemeth. Vince McMahon is looking to make Shawn Michaels life a living hell as McMahon brings in the Frat Pack and attacks the Heartbreak Kid. |

ROYAL RUMBLE FALLOUT PLUS WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH SET FOR NO WAY OUT
SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long is in the ring and talks about how happy he is that SmackDown's Rey Mysterio won the Royal Rumble match. Long says that last night Kurt Angle became the World Heavyweight Champion and due to Batista going through the announce table from Mark Henry, Batista tore his right tricep and will be out for months. Theodore Long announced that at No Way Out the World Heavyweight Championship match will be Kurt Angle defending one-on-one with Mark Henry. Theodore Long introduces Rey Mysterio to the ring. Rey comes out and celebrates his victory with the fans and Theodore Long. Theodore Long tells Rey that he has a surprise for him and that is...EDDIE GUERRERO! Guerrero comes out (who we havent seen since October) and talks about how proud he is of Rey Mysterio. Guerrero says that Rey did what Eddie never could and that is to win the Royal Rumble. All of a sudden Randy Orton interrupts the celebration and said that he should be the rightful winner of the Royal Rumble match because Rey Mysterio will never become World Champion. Orton then pointed to Guerrero and said that he should stay retired and not interfere with Orton's business. Guerrero then says that Orton needs to leave before Guerrero brings out the Latino Heat that's been building up for months. Orton then smacks Guerrero in the face before Rey Mysterio and Theodore Long attempt to break up the scuffle.
After Eddie Guerrero returned to celebrate Rey Mysterio's win, Randy Orton interrupted and slapped Guerrero in his face. |

FINAL OF THE ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA TOURNAMENT
Eight men battled for the spot to face Edge at WrestleMania with Chris Masters defeating Kane, the Big Show defeating Shelton Benjamin, Triple H defeating Ric Flair and John Cena defeating Carlito. The semifinals took place with the Big Show battling Triple H and after Triple H hit the Big Show with a steel chair when the referee was distracted and Triple H hitting the Big Show with a Pedigree for the 1-2-3, Triple H advances to the finals. John Cena then took on Chris Masters and even with the interference from Carlito, John Cena overcame and made Chris Masters tap out to the STFU. The main event of RAW was John Cena vs Triple H with the winner going on to main event WrestleMania. The two men entered the ring and before they could battle, Edge and Lita came down to the ring and sat ringside. The two battled before John Cena went and hit a FU against Triple H and as Cena was making the cover, Lita came and dragged the referee out of the ring to breakup the count. As the referee was distracted by Lita, Edge came in and speared Cena. Triple H went and took advantage of this but Cena kicked out at two. Triple H then went for a pedigree but Cena reversed it and hit a FU once again on Triple H, Edge then once again ran into the ring but Cena reversed him and threw him over the top rope and applied the STFU on Triple H forcing Triple H to tap out right in front of Edge. John Cena will now face Edge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 22.
