It was some 4 years ago that AEW promised to change the landscape of the pro wrestling world. Four years later, there is no denying that AEW has held up to, and surpassed, its promise. Though AEW has already creted a huge library of amazing events and moments, one thing remains that constantly holds AEW down. Declining attendances, low viewerships. It seems more and more that surpassing the size of WWE is impossible for any company, no matter their origin. But with the rise of stars like MJF, Swerve Strickland, Hangman Page and the signing of huge stars like Will Ospreay, what more does AEW have to do? Many argue that this is the time that AEW can capitalize the most on their momentum... So lets see if I can lead them to the top.
A few disclaimers before I start: I am and probably never will be a great booker. This save is more just for fun because after these recent shows I think AEW has a lot that they can do with their roster. I get burned out pretty easily, so I will probably do weekly shows as little recaps and mainly focus on the PPVs and their results. This allows me to progress faster and not have to do as much work. I will be managing the outside world as well. I will make sure smaller companies continue to make good signings, and I also plan to lean into some of the recent WWE stories with CM Punk and Okada. Anyways, this is my first time attempting a save so here goes nothing. This will pick up right after Full Gear.

News Around The World Before we Start:
WWE: Neither CM Punk or Okada show up at Survivor Series. The last member of the mens war games match is Randy Orton who makes his return. CM Punk was commentating a UFC bout during the same weekend survivor series happened, and reports are that Okada is not interested in talks with another company until after Wrestle Kingdom. Shinsukes mystery man was actually just Seth Rollins again and he vows that he will finally beat him. After the wargames match, Cody gets on the mic surrounded by all the other guys and proclaims that he is finally going to dethrone Roman, but in classic Randy fashion he RKOs Cody. This Orton is not the friendly Orton we last saw, it is the return of the Viper.
AEW Weekly Notes: - The rest of the Continental Classic bracket was revealed: BLOCK A: Danielson, Garcia, PAC BLOCK B: Andrade, Miro, Kingston BLOCK C: Hobbs, RUSH, Briscoe BLOCK D: Shibata, Claudio, Buddy Matthews - On the Dynamite right after Full Gear, MJF comes out to adress the crowd after his title defense. He says now that Jay is finished, he can focus on finding out what fraud is the Devil. He also says that he is still nursing his leg, but he is a fighting champ and he has a promise to fulfill. He calls Samoa Joe out. Joe comes out and MJF lays down the deal, "Joe, you saved my ass at Full Gear. I'm not 100 percent, but neither was I at Grand Slam. You were my partner at Full Gear, but at Winter is Coming I'm going to have to beat your ass for this title again." But Joe laughs. "Max. I don't want you at Full Gear. I want you at the same place I lost to you the first time, I want you at Worlds End in New York. This time, you get no help, because we are going to be in AEW's first ever Hell in a Cell match. Oh and, I don't care who you face at Winter is Coming, but I might have an idea of who wants that shot." Wardlow jumps over the barricade and lays out MJF. He powerbombs him onto the title and raises MJF's belt over his lifeless body. - Over the past couple weeks, Hangman has been approached by Don Callis who calls him a lost dog without the Elite. He tells Page if he wants to be a champion again, then he should team with the Don Callis Family at Winter is Coming against the Best Friends and OC, where if the Don Callis Family wins Takeshita gets a shot at OC's title. - Christian berates Adam Copeland for not facing him one on one. He challenges Adam to a one on one match at Winter is Coming, but Adam refuses and says he is done with Christian. Christian disregard's this, and announces that at Winter is Coming, Christian will face Adam Copeland "one way or another" - The Acclaimed return, they declare that they are going to find out who attacked them, and so they start interrogating people around the locker room - - Buddy Mathews and Claudio met again in the Continental Classic, but this time it ended in a draw as the two would not stop beating the shit out of eachother. Moxley takes hold of the situation and challenges Malikai Black to a no DQ match at Winter is Coming - Mariah May becomes Toni's assistant, where she suggests that Toni must defeat any other females who may challenge her spot at the top, so she issues an open challenge at Winter is Coming - The Golden Jets announce that they want to use their title shot at Winter is Coming, but Ricky Starks says that he is not going to lay down for any other old stars. He says that if they want the tag titles, they are going to have to challenge for them at World's End, where championships belong. But Ricky does offer that Chris Jericho faces Big Bill at Winter is Coming, with the winner deciding what the match stipulation is - Swerve Strickland claims that he deserves a shot at the AEW Title next, but he knows there is a long line. All he wants to do is earn that title shot and he will do whatever he has to to do that. Lance Archer comes out with Jake Roberts who praises Swerve for his Full Gear match. He says that Lance has waited a while too, and he needs to beat Lance to prove that he desrves that shot. Swerve says hes tired of proving himself, and he is going to put the Murder Hawk monster to sleep at Winter is Coming. - The Bullet Club Gold hold a meeting backstage where they ask Jay White what is next, he says he needs time to think. "Lets take a trip to Japan..." - Brandon Cutler publicly announces that the Young Bucks are taking a break, Adam Page confronts him and says when he needs the Bucks, they aren't there for him. He calls Cutler useless, almost gets physical with him and then returns to Don Callis to accept his offer
Continental Classic Standings as of Winter is Coming: BLOCK A: Danielson: 3 pts, PAC: 3 pts, Garcia: 0 pts BLOCK B: Kingston: 1 pt, Miro: 1 pt, Andrade: 1 pt BLOCK C: Hobbs: 3 pts, RUSH: 3 pts, Briscoe: 0 pts BLOCK D: Shibata: 3 pts, Matthews: 1 pt, Claudio: 1 pt

Match 4: The Don Callis Family (Takeshita, Adam Page and Sammy Guevara) vs Best Friends (OC, Trent and Chucky T) The match is a classic match up of evil heels vs light hearted faces, except Hangman sits on the apron silently observing. Takeshita is struggling with the elusive Orange Cassidy, so Don Callis signals him to tag in Page. Takeshita is upset with this but he does it. Page immediately goes after OC. He batters him so badly that OC cant stand anymore. After hitting a buck shot, he tags Takeshita back in and starts to walk up the ramp. Don Callis smiles and Takeshita pins OC, earning his right for a title match. 77%
Match 5: Big Bill W/Ricky Starks vs Chris Jericho W/Kenny Omega The size of Big Bill proves too much for Jericho, as he plays with him like food. Match 7: The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn vs The Devil's Henchmen??? The Acclaimed enter the ring and claim they know who the Devil's henchmen are after they received a note in their locker room. They challenge them to a match right there. The three goons come out in the same clothes as the attackers, and the Acclaimed beats them in 6 minutes. After the match, the Acclaimed unmasks the attackers just to reveal them as random jobbers. The Acclaimed is visibly upset, but all of the sudden the Devil appears on the Jumbo Tron. Behind him, a man is attached to a chair. The Devil says "Leave me Alone" before leaving the camera, where it is revealed that Billy Gunn's long time friend Sean Waltman aka X-Pac is tied up back stage. This shows how sinister the Devil truly is, but also that his main focus isnt on the Acclaimed. 69%
Match 8: Christian Cage vs Adam Copeland Christian Cage's music hits, and he enters with the Patriarchy. Luchasaurus is dragging a body, who turns out to be Ric Flair. Cage grabs a mic and says, "Adam, you can't run for much longer. I'm doing a favor putting this old hag down. So why dont you repay me and come down to this ring for our match..." Adam's theme hits and he sprints to the ring, but before he can do anything Luchasaurs grabs him and powerbombs him onto the steel steps. Darby Allin and Sting run out too but Darby is overpowered by Luchasaurs and Nick Wayne smashes Sting with a chair. The patriarchy has overpowered all 3 of them. Christian signals to Luchasaurus to put Sting through the announcer table. Nick rolls Adam Copeland into the ring, and Christian says "It was inevitable Jay. You're not supposed to be here... THIS IS MY COMPANY." He hits the killswitch on Adam Copeland. Christian grabs a ref who is confused but he demands him to count. 1... 2... 3... Christian beats Adam Copeland in 3 seconds. The patriarchy celeberates as they leave the rest of them in the ring 89%
MAIN EVENT: AEW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MJF (C) W/ Adam Cole vs Wardlow (Samoa Joe on commentary) Wardlow unleashes his anger on the hurt MJF and throws him around the ring. It doesn't matter though, as an Adam Cole distraction allows for MJF to hit Wardlow with the ring and win again. History repeats and MJF wins off of a cheap move. Wardlow comes to and is furious. Joe laughs on commentary as Wardlow delivers a post down beatdown on MJF. Joe enters the ring, but instead of helping MJF he chokes him out. He throws MJF's lifeless body to Wardlow, who delivers 10 straight powerbombs. The beatdown continues as security comes out to stomp him. As Joe walks past Adam Cole to backstage, he says "I know who you are". The cameras cut as security takes Wardlow away from MJF. 83%
Post Show Notes: So there we have it. Swerve continues to prove hes a major star, Hangman Page is teasing a dark side, The Golden Jets look outmatched, Toni Storm is in desperate need of a challenger, The Acclaimed are at a dead end in their quest for the Devil, Christian has outsmarted Adam Copeland, and Wardlow fails vs MJF again. What was Joe saying to Adam Cole? And what is next for Wardlow after failing again. I guess time will only tell what is in store for AEW
