 HBK & TRIPLE H FIGHT INSIDE HELL IN A CELL IN A RARE RAW HELL IN A CELL MATCH FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
February 9. 2004
For the first time since 1998. The Hell In A Cell was unleashed on Monday Night RAW as Shawn Michaels & Triple H battled one last time for the World Heavyweight Championship inside the cell with both men wrestling for 45 minutes, there was interference from Evolution, Mick Foley & The Rock, 2 pedigrees by Triple H wasn't enough to put Shawn down, not even 2 Sweet Chin Music's wasn't enough to put Triple H down. But a Third Sweet Chin Music by HBK finally put The Game down and it allowed Michaels to retain the World Heavyweight Title!. After, The Rock made his return after he and Foley fought off Evolution and stared down the World Heavyweight Championship Belt. The Rock picked up a microphone and told a battered Shawn that he and Shawn had battled at WrestleMania twice and Shawn has not defeated him, last year, The Rock beat him, so next year, The Rock is issuing one more challenge to the Heartbreak Kid at WrestleMania 20 for the World Heavyweight Title!. Michaels who could barely stand spoke only 2 words "You're on!". |

 Test was still able to get away with the 24/7 rule by losing, but regaining the Hardcore Championship after taking on Hardcore Holly for the title which featured numerous competitors winning the title, but Test would eventually win the title back.
 Later on in the same show. Hulk Hogan made his return for the first time since Summerslam and announced that he was going to have a match at WrestleMania 20. Hogan called out any SMACKDOWN Competitor in the locker room to face him.
 But then RAW's Triple H & Ric Flair showed up with Triple H announcing that SMACKDOWN didn't expect to see him. Triple H stated that 6 days after failing to win back the World Heavyweight Championship from Shawn Michaels, he said despite all that, he was still going to WrestleMania 20. Triple H said that he knew Hogan was going to come back at WrestleMania because Hogan announced Last June that he would have a match at Madison Square Garden at WrestleMania 20. The Game stated that he wanted to be the guy that would put Hogan down cause they never faced off one on one in a PPV Wrestling Ring. Hogan said that Triple H should better start training, eating his vitamins and saying his prayers because he believes that Triple H is the game and Triple H says he is that damn good, well the last time they faced off one on one, Hogan beat him for the WWE Championship 5 years ago and lightning is going to strike twice, but this time it won't be for the WWE Championship, it's going to be for Hulkamania. Flair then snatched the mic and said that Hogan was way past his prime and that Triple H was the new WWE. Hogan is just an old timer that needs to be put out to pasture. Hogan then punched Flair in the face and that allowed Triple H to get a cheap shot on Hogan. The Game & Flair beat up on Hogan, Hogan fought back on both of them, but then Batista & Randy Orton came out to attack Hogan. Hogan would eventually fight them off too. But a low blow by Triple H stopped Hogan and the beatdown began. Evolution beat up on Hogan. Triple H finished the exclamation point by nailing Hogan with the pedigree with Triple H telling Hogan what he was going to do when Triple H was going to end his career at WrestleMania!.
 Kane requested to Paul Heyman that Goldberg show up at No Way Out because he wanted to avenge what Goldberg did to The Undertaker when he buried him alive at Survivor Series!.
 It was a hard fought battle between these two super heavyweights as Kane was obsessed with trying to destroy Goldberg!.
 Then a Devastating Chokeslam by Kane took the Former World Heavyweight Champion down!.
 But Goldberg was able to fight back after reversing to what Kane almost tried to do by trying to hit a Last Ride on Goldberg. The Undertaker's finishing move, but Goldberg countered by taking Kane down with the spear and the jackhammer to get the clean victory.
But shortly thereafter, Goldberg got another message from The Undertaker's shadow similar to the Royal Rumble!.
 Goldberg then grabbed a microphone and claimed that he buried The Undertaker alive and that he wasn't coming back, but then, the lights flickered once more as a lightning bolt struck and then we heard Undertaker's gongs go off several twice, then a promo was seen of Goldberg burying The Undertaker alive followed by The Undertaker's face on the titantron at the Survivor Series reading 1990-2003 to a question mark that ended Survivor Series. Then more promos of the old Undertaker were shown until the promo ended saying in "28 Days. The Dead Will Rise Again!". Meaning The Undertaker was going to return at WrestleMania, Goldberg was livid, another lightning bolt struck Goldberg, but he seemed unfazed.
![PPV REVIEW: WWE Royal Rumble 2004]() Just before his WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania 20. Eddie Guerrero looked to extract a measure of revenge on Chavo Guerrero by defeating him in an unsanctioned match by beating him sadistically with Chavo Guerrero's father handcuffed on the ropes watching Eddie beat the living crap out of Chavo!.
 Kurt Angle captured the United States Championship in an 8-Pack Elimination Challenge by taking the belt off of Owen Hart, it was down to Angle & Cena for the title, but in the end as Cena was about to hit Angle with the FU. Angle surprised Cena by hitting the Angle Slam and thus capturing the WWE United States Championship.
 Chris Benoit & Brock Lesnar faced off for the WWE Title in a Submission Match with the title on the line, GM Paul Heyman stated that this was Benoit's final opportunity to win the WWE Championship!.
 Brock wanted to make quick work of Chris Benoit and move on to Eddie Guerrero at WrestleMania 20 and also try to take care of Stone Cold Steve Austin cause of Stone Cold threatening him. Brock had also wanted Stone Cold banned from No Way Out as well!.
 But Benoit fought back again against Lesnar and started to make a comeback.
But the momentum was slowed down with Brock hitting Benoit with the F5 and then Brock grabbed a steel chair and started to hit Benoit numerous times with it and then he grabbed the WWE Championship Belt and was ready to take Benoit's head off, but then the breaking glass sounded and that meant only one thing.
 And arriving in the ATV was Stone Cold Steve Austin. Security members were laying in wait for Stone Cold, but Stone Cold walked into the line of fire and kicked everyone of the security guards's ass, WHAT?. I Said he kicked everyone of the Security Guards's ass. Stunner, WHAT?. Stunner, What?. Stunner, What?.
 Paul Heyman tried to stop Austin, but Austin stunned him to the mat as well!.
 Stone Cold got in the ring and took over the referee's job as Benoit got to his feet and locked Brock in the Crippler Crossface and then Austin gave Brock the middle fingers allowing Brock to tap out. Austin rang the bell as Chris Benoit was awarded with the WWE Championship.
 And what a moment this was for Chris Benoit as he became the WWE Champion, and now Benoit was officially going to main event WrestleMania with the WWE Championship as he would take on his best buddy Eddie Guerrero for the title!.

 THE DUDLEY BOYS WIN BACK THE RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP. BIG TAG TEAM MATCH SET FOR WRESTLEMANIA 20

With the help of Mick Foley. The Dudley Boys re-captured the RAW Tag Team Championship in a Street Fight Match over Ric Flair & Batista, After, The Legion of Doom interrupted The Dudley Boys's celebration with Animal & Hawk demanding a match with the greatest tag team of all time in the WWE today. The Dudley Boys. Bubba replied saying that he and D'von wanted to do this for all of their life and that they wanted to take on The Legion of Doom in the future, but that day is now here, and at WrestleMania 20. They accept!. The Dudleys & The LOD shook hands, the two teams were teasing a brawl, but they just stared each other down. This should be an epic WrestleMania Tag Team Battle! |

 THE UNDERTAKER'S SHADOW CONTINUES TO TORMENT GOLDBERG ON THE ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA
Winter/Spring 2004
At the Survivor Series in 2003. The Undertaker was closing in on becoming the WWE Champion by taking on the McMahons & Brock Lesnar in a Buried Alive Match, all The Undertaker had to do was bury one of them alive and he would be the WWE Champion. But as he was close to doing so. Goldberg's monster truck appeared out of the shadows and ran over the payloader. Goldberg got out of the monster truck and attacked The Undertaker and thus threw him into the grave burying him alive, Goldberg was visibly frustrated after losing a World Heavyweight Title Rematch to Triple H that he took it out on The Undertaker, shortly thereafter, The Undertaker was not in the grave as a light show went out in the arena, and when the spotlight came back on, the shallow hole was undug, but there was no Undertaker in the grave, Then a photo of The Undertaker appeared on the big screen saying 1990-2003, and then the 2003 changed into a question mark. The night after the Survivor Series. Goldberg stated that he buried The Undertaker alive is because The Undertaker had alluded him in the Invasion Era and that he avoided going one on one with him, so he had to bury The Undertaker alive, and Goldberg would deny the opportunity of letting The Undertaker have a one on one fight with him, because The Undertaker was officially dead and buried for good!, At the Royal Rumble 2004, Goldberg was one of the odds on favorites to win the Royal Rumble Match, but when Goldberg was very dominant in that match, the lights went out as a shadow appeared to haunt Goldberg, in the smoke stood a man in a hat and coat, but his face was not seen, it looked like it was the face of The Undertaker, but the lights came back on to reveal that the face was gone, the mind games continued on Goldberg and it continued at No Way Out after Goldberg had defeated The Undertaker's brother Kane. But then the signs and clues were clear that The Undertaker would return at WrestleMania 20 to get his revenge on Goldberg meaning that the Man From The Darkside would rise again to get at Goldberg!. In the weeks that followed WrestleMania, Goldberg told Eric Bischoff to tell Paul Heyman to let Goldberg face The Undertaker at WrestleMania and so he could bury him alive for good. Bischoff agreed with Heyman accepting. on the RAW before WrestleMania after Goldberg had defeated The Hurricane in a squash match. The lights went out as smoke filled the arena with a spotlight seeing a casket rise from the ground, everyone wondered that The Undertaker was in that casket, The casket was lowered down as Goldberg looked at the casket and then opened it up revealing that The Undertaker was not in the casket, but instead it was an urn, Goldberg could not stand seeing the casket as he destroyed the casket with an axe and then threw the casket out and then tossed the urn out as well. Goldberg then picked up the microphone saying "An Urn, this is what you bring me, Undertaker?, an Urn?. For weeks, you've sent me signs of your return, but an urn, and an empty casket, is this what you've brought me, empty promises, is this going to take more than this to intimidate me and beat me at WrestleMania, it won't. Undertaker, you're going to keep this casket because I'm going to send you back to the grave for good, your streak, your legacy and your life all comes to an end, because it's over Deadman, I am not afraid of you and This Sunday, you will be next!. Then, Undertaker's gongs sounded once again as lightning struck the ring and then smoke filled the arena and also, the ring shook with The Undertaker's mindgames and video messages haunting Goldberg, the final video message stated "WrestleMania, it all begins again, Goldberg, you're next, rest in peace". Then another lightning bolt went off and a standing casket was seen on stage with an effigy of Goldberg standing inside the casket!. But Goldberg still was not intimidated, but who would survive this war at WrestleMania 20 as The Undertaker would return from the dead to get his hands on Goldberg! |

 WrestleMania 20's slogan featured "Where It All Begins Again", on March 31. 1985, it all began in the first WrestleMania, but on March 14. 2004, it all began once again in the same building.
 John Cena kicked off WrestleMania 20 with a huge opportunity to win the WWE United States Championship over Kurt Angle who had changed his attitude. Kurt Angle wanted to injure John Cena in this match by going for his injured ankle and wanted to put an end to the match.
 But Cena battled back and hit not one but two FU's to Kurt Angle and thus getting the victory.
 Indeed Cena made his WrestleMania 20 Moment by winning the WWE United States Championship.
 RAW had it's new Women's Champion as Victoria captured the Women's Title in a six-pack challenge match ending Gail Kim's 9-month reign as the Champion!
 There was no love lost between these two former partners as these two were at odds over the romance of Trish Stratus that these two dissolved their partnership and faced off.
 Despite this love triangle, it was a scientific back and forth match.
 But shockingly, as the referee was distracted by Christian. Trish Stratus snuck from under the ring and hit Jericho with a slap and that allowed Christian to get the win followed by an unprettier.
 Proving that Christian & Trish were allies all along.
 And shortly after they added insult to injury on Jericho by kissing on the entrance ramp.
 The war over the Intercontinental Championship between Randy Orton & Mick Foley was going to be nothing more but brutal and brutal it was. Foley promised to bring out the Cactus Jack side on Orton.
 Orton however would not be denied as he made it clear that he wanted to end the Legend of Mick Foley once and for all.
 'Orton & Cactus both pulled out all the stops as the ring was filled with thumbtacks, barbedwire boards and other things.
 With one last brave act. Foley tried to win the Intercontinental Title by using his signature Mandible Claw.
 But an RKO by Orton was able to put Foley away and thus retain the Intercontinental Title.
 Batista won the 12th Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal by last eliminating Jeff Hardy.
 The MSG Crowd was dreaming for this greatest fantasy tag team matchup as The Dudley Boys took on the Legion of Doom at WrestleMania 20 with The Dudleys retaining the RAW Tag Team Titles over the LOD.
 In the biggest dream match of WrestleMania 20 History. 2 former World Champions collided as Triple H took on Hulk Hogan.
 The two went at it as both these former WrestleMania Main Eventers stood a test of strength with Hogan winning it.
 Seemed as if there wasn't any ring rust left in the Hulkster as he took the former World Champion to school.
 But Triple H would somehow fight back and hit the pedigree on Hogan, but in true Hogan form. He kicked out!.
 Hogan fought back however and hit the leg drop on Triple H. But The Game kicked out!.
 Triple H would fight back and hit the second pedigree on Hogan to defeat Hogan cleanly!
 The new and improved Bradshaw known as JBL defeated his former partner Faarooq in a Loser Leaves Town match.
 Stone Cold and Brock Lesnar would lay it all out on the line as the two battled in an Unsanctioned Match.
 It was come dressed as you are as the two left it all on the line. Brock almost got the win by hitting the F5 on Austin but Austin was able to kick out at 2.
 But Austin fought back by hitting not one, not two but Three Stone Cold Stunners to put down the Next Big Thing!.
 In Stone Cold Celebration, he made sure that this feud with Lesnar was over once and for all and prove that he still had a lot of more matches in his time.
 And once again the two biggest athletes of the WWE. The Rock & Shawn Michaels faced off for the World Heavyweight Championship in their third WrestleMania encounter.
 The Rock was dead set on capturing the World Heavyweight Championship against The Heartbreak Kid by putting him down with 2 Rock Bottoms & A People's Elbow, but in true HBK form. He fought back!
 And with 2 Sweet Chin Music's. Michaels retained the World Heavyweight Title, after the match. Michaels & The Rock shook hands.
 Goldberg arrived at WrestleMania wondering what kind of Undertaker he would face. The Badass Undertaker or the Darkside Undertaker!. After Goldberg's music hit. Goldberg didn't seem intimidated, he didn't seem more intimidated when the lights went out and gongs of The Undertaker hit.
Stood in the bathed purple smoke with druids holding torches was Paul Bearer with the original urn in hand.
 Paul Bearer raised up the urn as the gongs of The Undertaker sounded again, and then thunder and lightning boomed once more, then the music played in the arena as Paul Bearer had a smile on his face.
 And out stood in his signature hat and coat, The Undertaker!
 The Deadman of Old was back at WrestleMania to get revenge on Goldberg for Goldberg burying him alive at Survivor Series.
 The eyes of the Deadman showed no emotion as Goldberg didn't show any. A lot of people would be scared of The Undertaker's presence, but not Goldberg!. Goldberg was confident on bringing The Undertaker back down to hell where he belonged.
 These two super heavyweights slugged it off as being both men were on the same show. But Undertaker got the early advantage over Goldberg and was all dominant in the early parts of the contest.

 And then closed the deal by hitting the former World Champion with a Tombstone Piledriver to get the victory.
 The Returning Deadman celebrated as he made sure that Goldberg finally rested in peace once and for all!.
 And of course WrestleMania 20 ended with Eddie Guerrero defeating Chris Benoit to win the WWE Championship.
 Both men celebrated Eddie Guerrero's victory as they were untop of the world as WrestleMania ended! |
