 At the Royal Rumble, not only did Shawn Michaels retain the Intercontinental Championship against Marty Jannetty, he dumped Sherri thanks to his personal assistant known as Diesel.
 The Macho Man proved that his Championship Win on Monday Night RAW was not a fluke as he successfully retained the WWF Title in a best 2 out of 3 Falls Match against Ric Flair at the Royal Rumble.
 At the 1993 Royal Rumble. Yokozuna dominated the Rumble Match when he and Bret Hart both eliminated 6 competitors, Yokozuna and Hulk Hogan engaged in a staredown with one another with Hogan attempting to slam Yokozuna over the top rope but Yokozuna belly to belly suplexed him over the top rope to the floor.
 Bret Hart made history by not only entering at #1, but winning the Royal Rumble in that same spot. He will now go on to face Randy Savage at WrestleMania 9 for the World Wrestling Federation Championship.

 HULK HOGAN SENDS RIC FLAIR OUT OF THE WWF
January 25, 1993
The night after the Royal Rumble. Monday Night RAW was treated to a loser leaves WWF Match between two of the most hated rivals in WWF History. Hulk Hogan & Ric Flair. There had to be only room for one man left at the top. That man proved to be Hulk Hogan as Ric Flair who had been with the company for almost 5 years and who had won 3 WWF Championships finally got sent out of the WWF by Hulkamania. |

 ANDRE THE GIANT DEAD
January 28, 1993
Former WWF Champion & 1991 WWF Hall of Famer Andre The Giant, known as Andre Rene Roussimoff passed away at the age of 46 years old of congestive heart failure and an apparent heart attack in his sleep at a Paris Hotel on the morning of Thursday. Andre played cards with his friends on Wednesday Night, Andre was in Paris for his father's funeral, while he was there, he stayed longer to be with his mother on her birthday. Andre The Giant was popular for bringing the 80s Wrestling on the map, he appeared at the first WrestleMania defeating Big John Studd in a Bodyslam Match, and also his biggest accomplishments came in the late 1980s when he won the 1987 Royal Rumble, Main Evented WrestleMania 3 with Hulk Hogan and even won the World Wrestling Federation Championship in 1988 for 3 short minutes until he gave the belt to Ted Dibiase. Andre's WWF Career came to an end in April of 1990 due to his health as he lost his last match at WrestleMania 6 to Earthquake. Andre did make a couple of WWF Appearances and was inducted into the 1991 WWF Hall of Fame. Andre is survived by family & friends, including a daughter by the name of Robin. The WWF is heartbroken and saddened by this loss. |

YOKOZUNA SENDS A MESSAGE TO HOGAN BY DESTROYING BEEFCAKE, DUGGAN & SLAUGHTER
February 1993
 The mammoth Yokozuna has been sending a message to The Immortal Hulk Hogan, on an edition of February 15 RAW. Yokozuna destroyed Brutus Beefcake who had returned to the ring to go one on one with Yokozuna. Beefcake had control of the match, but the big 500 pound man Yokozuna dominated this match and delivered not one, not two but three banzai drops on Beefcake and then after the match tried to crush his face with 2 leg drops until Jim Duggan came in to stop it. On Superstars, Yokozuna attacked Duggan after Duggan took Yokozuna down in a match. And then also Sgt. Slaughter as well. Hogan made his return to RAW on March 1st weeks after defeating Ric Flair and would accept Yokozuna's challenge. |

 The Antics of the Two Doinks cost Crush his match against one of them.
 The Narcissist's Dominant Run in the World Wrestling Federation continued by gaining a clean win over Roddy Piper.

 But to the shock and awe of the Las Vegas Fans. Yokozuna shocked the world after kicking out of a bodyslam and a leg drop. Yokozuna soundly defeated Hulkamania cleanly.
 The newest Tag Team, The Steiner Brothers rolled into WrestleMania 9 by defeating three teams to capture the WWF Tag Team Championship.
 In the first ever Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, Hacksaw "Jim Duggan" former rival of Andre The Giant won the first ever Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Match.
 Before his match with Bam Bam Bigelow, The Undertaker made his way out in a chariot.
 Two of the toughest giants went blow to blow in this epic contest with Bigelow showing no fear & intimidation of the Man from The Darkside.
 But Bam Bam's manager Harvey Whippleman & Luna Vachon would conspire to take down The Undertaker with Bigelow using chloroform on The Undertaker rendering the Deadman unconscious. The Undertaker did win the match by Disqualifaction, but he was wheeled out on the stretcher. Or was he?.
 The Deadman reemerged once more to take the fight to Bigelow and sent Bigelow straight into retreat to continue his dominant WrestleMania run at 3-0.
 And finally the match everybody wanted to see, Bret Hart vs Randy Savage for the WWF Championship at WrestleMania 9.
 Both Bret & Savage pulled out all the stops in this match, neither man would not go down without a fight.

 In a call back moment similar to WrestleMania 3. The Hitman would roll up Savage and beat him to capture the World Wrestling Federation Championship for the first time in his career.
 Hart was elated to have won the belt at WrestleMania 9, after losing the Intercontinental Title in 1992. Bret Hart had finally reached the big time as he was now the top dog in the World Wrestling Federation.
 Savage extended his gratitude and raised Bret's hand in a "passing of the torch" moment. The Hitman had finally acheived the pinnacle of the WWF. But who will knock him off the throne?.

 The Kid defeats Ramon

On A Monday Night RAW Edition, The Kid known as Sean Waltman made his in-ring debut against Razor Ramon, at first Razor was playing around with The Kid in this match and just treated him just like a glorified enhancement talent, but when Razor missed a charge. The Kid went to the top rope and hit a diving standing moonsault off the top rope to get the victory. |

WWF Championship Match: Bret Hart D. Bam Bam Bigelow to retain the WWF Championship.
 After Winning the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 9, it seemed like Hacksaw "Jim Duggan" would have a bit of a resurgence on his shoulders when he advanced in the KOTR Tournament and in the quarterfinals by defeating Papa Shango and in the semis by defeating Yokozuna by DQ. After Hacksaw's match with Yokozuna. Yokozuna attacked him and put him on the shelf by delivering a banzai drop.
 But Hacksaw would have to meet Lex Luger in the finals. Luger had already been dominant defeating Kona Crush in the Quarterfinals, Tatanka in the semis and now Hacksaw "Jim Duggan".
 Duggan still unable to physically recover from the attack by Yokozuna barely put up a brave fight against the Narcissist, but it just wasn't enough as Luger put him away to become the 1993 King of The Ring and earn himself a shot at the World Wrestling Federation Championship against Bret Hart.
The Hitman's first PPV Title Defense itself was a big challenge as he took on the Beast from The East Bam Bam Bigelow, with help from The Undertaker however. The Hitman was able to fight on and retain the WWF Championship.

 LEX LUGER BODYSLAMS YOKOZUNA

Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji wanted to push the envelope by embarassing America even further by holding a bodyslam challenge, every WWF Superstar and Sports Athlete would be on hand to attempt to bodyslam Yokozuna. The Steiners, Tatanka, Randy Savage, The Smoking Gunns, Crush, Hacksaw "Jim Duggan", Bob Backlund and others attempted to bodyslam Yokozuna, but they all failed. Yokozuna had nearly embarassed America, but on the USS Intrepid, Lex Luger showed up and shoved Heenan aside and the two went face to face, nose to nose. Luger hit Yokozuna with his loaded forearm and bodyslammed him to the mat. |

 JACK TUNNEY ANNOUNCES A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH FOR THE WWF CHAMPIONSHIP
July 12. 1993
With Mr. Fuji & Yokozuna & their new spokesman Jim Cornette's pleas to put Yokozuna in the WWF Championship Match against Lex Luger and Bret Hart at Summerslam. Tunney announced that at Summerslam, there would be a Triple Threat Match for the World Wrestling Federation Championship between Bret Hart, Lex Luger & Yokozuna.
