Last night I created a Royal Rumble style match called Wrestle Riot.
It is very similar to a Royal Rumble but weapons and tables can be used during the match.
I created it and then went through and added 30 of the best workers I have.
Then the Road Agent told me, based on my product, the fans would not like this kind of match!
I was pissed.
I have had that happen and booked anyway, then the match BOMBS.
The workers will have great ratings but the overall rating TANKS.
So I have that match type saved for the future. The product is changing soon, so I will wait.
I do still want to have the 30-man Rumble though. I am trying to determine a #1 contender amongst some great talent.
I wanted to try and avoid a tournament for this. I do those a lot.
I think the Wrestle Riot match would start with the lights going out, police and emergency vehicle sirens, spotlights roaming around the arena, around the crowd.
Then pyro, sound effects of car crashes and an angry mob.
Then the announcer would announce the match and the rules.
There would be a 10 second countdown ticker that the fans could count with when the next entrant is about to come out.
I'm not sure what the sound effect would be for when the worker comes out, but probably their entrance music.
It would be anarchy in the ring. Almost anything goes.
I think the final 3 workers would immediately be contenders in some kind of ranking for a championship match.
So, that's what I got on that right now.
