Currently about to start a new JoW save as WWF at King of the Ring 1996. I've currently noticed two things so far. 1 is the lack of Flex Kavana in USWA (presumably a future WWF trainee) and the other is Jake Roberts had inexplicable turned heel. Sable has been traded to WCW for Rey Misterio Jr., while Brian Christopher will be coming in, with Savio Vega headed off to USWA. Here's what's happened ahead of the end of my debut phase:
King of the Ring - Preliminaries Sycho Sid def. Roddy Piper Skip def. Bob Holly Owen Hart def. Bushwhacker Luke Rey Misterio Jr. def. Barry Windham Yokozuna def. Jake Roberts The Sultan def. Marty Jannetty Marc Mero def. Zip (Best match of the round) Hunter Hearst Helmsley def. Duke Droese
Quarter Finals Sycho Sid def. Skip Owen Hart def. Rey Misterio Jr. (Match of the round) Yokozuna def. The Sultan Hunter Hearst Helmsley def. Marc Mero
King of the Ring 1996 Card 1. An 8 v 8 opener match that is just an excuse to get everyone on the card mainly: Austin, Roberts, Pillman, Crush, Sultan, Vader & The Headbangers vs. Droese, Brawler, Holly, Cassidy, Bradshaw, Mero & The Bodydonnas 2. 6-Man ladder match for Television Title featuring: Barry Horowitz, Barry Windham, Aldo Montoya, Marty Jannetty, Brian Christopher & Rey Misterio Jr. 3. Owen Hart vs. Sycho Sid (KotR Semi-Final) 4. Yokozuna vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley (KotR Semi-Final) 5. World Tag Team Championship bout between The Smoking Gunns & The Godwinns 6. The Ultimate Warrior takes on Jerry Lawler 7. Goldust defends his Intercontinental Championship against Ahmed Johnson 8. The Undertaker takes on Mankind 9. King of the Ring Finals: Hart/Sid vs. Yokozuna/HHH 10. Shawn Michaels defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Davey Boy Smith

SummerSlam 1996 Main Event: Shawn Michaels (c) vs. Owen Hart vs. Vader - World Heavyweight Championship Our main event for SummerSlam this year sees Big Van Vader gets his second chance against Michaels after defeat at In Your House 9 (a stunning 5.25* match), but this time the pair of them are joined by an additional name, as the King's Contract means that King of the Ring winner Owen Hart will also be competing for the title at SummerSlam. With the odds stacked against him, will Michaels be able to keep his grasp on the world title or will one of his new rivals be able to steal the title off him.
Semi-Main Event: Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Brian Pillman Something snapped in this pairing of once allies. Austin was running down the crowd as they usually do when Pillman attacked him. A series of sneak attacks and broken up fights followed, with Pillman pandering to the fans while Austin isn't giving a monkeys what they think. Pillman will be looking to make things decisive here after defeating Austin at In Your House 9.
World Tag Team Championships: The Smoking Gunns (c) vs. The Darksiders This one has honestly had no build to it. Darksiders formed a couple of weeks ago as a combination of the Jake Roberts and Crush and have since been delivering terrible promo and terrible promo, while Smoking Gunns have been racking up wins over the likes of The Headbangers, The Nation of Domination and The Godwinns. One of these teams however will walk out champion, the question is just who will it be.
Bret Hart & The Undertaker vs. Roddy Piper & Kamala Bret Hart has just returned from injury and is making his in ring return here alongside The Undertaker whose match against Mankind ended in a time limit draw and a fractured wrist. With Mankind out, Undertaker has just sort of been floating while he waits for his opponent to return. Kamala is here on trade from USWA for Glenn Jacobs who I had a plan for ruined, so will be taking some time in Memphis to develop. Piper has offered to make a few appearances for us, so we're taking advantage.
Intercontinental Championship: Goldust (c) vs. Sycho Sid Sycho Sid gets his rematch against Goldust following a count-out loss at In Your House 9. Sid is gunning for the title but Goldust has been looking strong recently, having retain his title against Ahmed Johnson at King of the Ring.
Jerry Lawler vs. Rey Misterio Jr. Television Championship: Brian Christopher (c) vs. The Ultimate Warrior These two matches are incredibly intertwined as Brian Christopher called foul about Rey Misterio Jr.'s winning of the ladder match to become Television Champion, before latter appearing in the night to assist Jerry Lawler in defeating Ultimate Warrior. Warrior recruited Misterio to help him take on the two and would succeed in defeating the pair at In Your House 9. Since them, Christopher has stolen the Television Title off Misterio by cheating, so the 4 face off again, this time in unique singles matches.
The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, The Sultan & Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw) vs. Marc Mero, Johnny Ace & The Patriot Faarooq returned from injury with a new agenda, taking the fighting to Mero instantly. When things didn't go his way, Faarooq would cheat to beat Mero at In Your House 9. The following night on RAW is War #3, Faarooq would get into another fight with Mero, only this time he brought in his allies Sultan & Bradshaw to back him up and beat down Mero. Mero brings in WWFs most recent signs, Johnny Ace & The Patriot, to back him up in his war against the brand new Nation of Domination.
Davey Boy Smith vs. Yokozuna Both of these two are in an odd spot. Both are on poor form with great promise as Smith looks to be getting over with the fans, but his last major match was a loss to Shawn Michaels at KotR, while Yokozuna made it all the way to the KotR final, only to lose out Owen Hart. In the rematch a similar result occurred, with Owen Hart walking away the winner and heading for a word title shot. Whoever gets out of this one the winner could see a massive change in fortunes. The question really is who will it be.
Hunter Hearst Helmsley & The Executioner vs. The Godwinns The New Rockers vs. The Headbangers Barry Horowitz, The Brooklyn Brawler, Aldo Montoya, Spark Plug Bob Holly & Ahmed Johnson vs. Who?, Barry Windham, Duke Droese & The Bodydonnas

Started a 2005 ROH save and my plans have already gone off the rails lol I hired Akira Tozawa and was planning to have him go on a lengthy undefeated streak before dethroning Samoa Joe to become the ROH World Heavyweight Champion but he suffered a torn meniscus. He is going to work through it but I think his push will be halted for now, I may put him in a tag team so he can still get some matches in but not take as much impact.

WWF (AI) just booked Summerslam Poor Lex Luger didn't get a title shot despite the preset storyline with Yoko. Can't say that the AI is doing a very good job since neither Bret Hart, Owen Hart or Razor Ramon have any matches (which would have improved the grades).
