WWE Day One 2022 was a night full of surprises, shocks and twists. Here are the results for the matches that took place:
- The show started with a bombshell announcement: Roman Reigns had to vacate the Universal Title due to health issues, but his reign would not end. Instead, the winner of the title match would be the co-champion with Reigns, and would have to face him when he returns.
- In the first match of the night, Cesaro and Ricochet teamed up to take on Ridge Holland and Sheamus. The Swiss Superman and the One and Only showed great chemistry and agility, as they outwrestled and outsmarted their opponents. Cesaro hit the Neutralizer on Holland, while Ricochet nailed the 630 Splash on Sheamus for the win.
- The SmackDown Tag Team Titles were on the line as The Usos defended against The New Day. The two teams have a long history of rivalry, and they delivered another classic match. The action was fast and furious, with both teams hitting their signature moves and near falls. The Usos managed to retain their titles after a double superkick on Kofi Kingston, followed by a splash from Jimmy Uso.
- Drew McIntyre faced Madcap Moss in a singles match, with the stipulation that the winner would enter the Royal Rumble at number 30. McIntyre was dominant throughout the match, as he overpowered and outclassed Moss. Happy Corbin tried to interfere, but McIntyre fought him off. McIntyre hit the Claymore Kick on Moss for the victory, securing his spot in the Rumble

- The RAW Tag Team Titles were also on the line, as RK-Bro defended against The Street Profits. The match was a showcase of charisma and teamwork, as both teams entertained the crowd with their antics and moves. RK-Bro had the upper hand for most of the match, but The Street Profits made a comeback with their high-flying offense. However, RK-Bro retained their titles after Riddle hit the Floating Bro on Montez Ford, while Randy Orton hit the RKO on Angelo Dawkins.
- Edge and The Miz had a heated singles match, with Maryse in Miz's corner. The two veterans put on a show of psychology and storytelling, as they traded insults and blows. Edge had the edge (no pun intended) for most of the match, but Miz used his cunning and Maryse's distraction to gain some advantage. However, Edge overcame the odds and hit the Spear on Miz for the win.
- The RAW Women's Title Match was a highly anticipated bout between Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan. Morgan had earned her opportunity by winning a Fatal Four Way Match, and she was determined to prove herself against Lynch. The match was a back-and-forth affair, with both women showing resilience and determination. Morgan came close to winning several times, but Lynch always found a way to escape or counter. Lynch retained her title after hitting Morgan with a Manhandle Slam.
- The main event of the night was a Fatal Five Way Match for the WWE Title, featuring Big E, Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins. The match was a chaotic and brutal brawl, with all five men unleashing their power and skills. Lesnar was dominant at first, but he was taken out by Lashley with a Spear through the barricade. Lashley then battled with Big E inside the ring, while Owens and Rollins formed an alliance outside. However, their partnership did not last long, as they turned on each other. Big E managed to retain his title after hitting Lashley with a Big Ending.
