WWE 2024Following news of the Vince McMahon sexual assault lawsuit, he's left his role at TKO and in his absence Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has returned to the company that made him as a member of the board.
What the future holds for the company now is up in the air...

"BURN IT DOWWWWN!" Seth "Freakin" Rollins opens the show limping down to the ring: "Wrestling has more than one royal family" The crowd go wild as Cody Rhodes enters the arena and joins Seth in the ring:
Match 1 - CHELSEA GREEN & PIPER NIVEN def. NATALYA & TEGAN NOX by pinfall (57%)
Piper Niven tags in and pins Tegan Nox after a dominant performance.
After the match Chelsea Green grabs a mic and calls out the Women's Tag Team Champions Kayden Carter & Katana Chance and tells them they want their titles back!
The Judgement Day are backstage with Finn Bálor and Damian Priest planning to watch the next match closely as their next contenders for the tag titles are decided.
Match 2 - GAUNTLET MATCH - #DIY def. ALPHA ACADEMY, IMPERIUM & THE NEW DAY by pinfall (74%)
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa survive a tough battle to earn a tag title shot.
"THIS IS MY BRUTALITYYY" The Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley makes her way to the ring and says that whoever plans to enter the Rumble needs to think very carefully if they want to be embarrassed by her at Wrestlemania. To the surprise of the crowd, Xia Li's music plays and she makes her way to the ring: Rhea smirks and accepts: Match 3 for the WWE Women's World Championship - RHEA RIPLEY def. XIA LI by pinfall (62%)Xia Li puts in a good effort and keeps Ripley on her toes but Rhea ends up defeating her.
The sound of static hits as CM Punk enters the arena with his arm in a sling. "GUNTHERRR" Imperium make their way to the ring, Gunther smirking at CM Punk. As CM Punk goes to respond, Kaiser and Vinci attack him from behind before holding him down as Gunther stomps on his injured arm. "USOOOOO" Jey Uso runs down to the ring as Imperium retreat. He gestures for medical help for CM Punk as he stares down Gunther.
Ricochet is in the back with Cathy Kelley as he makes his first appearance on Raw since his injury. He says how glad he is to be back before Bronson Reed interrupts and tells him how he's not happy that he's back. They agree to meet in the ring instead.
Match 4 - RICOCHET def. "BIG" BRONSON REED by disqualification (63%)
After a fairly equal battle between Ricochet and Reed, Ricochet takes the DQ win after being taken out by Ivar.
Bronson, incensed at being cost the match, brawls with Ivar to the backstage.
Andrade is in the big with Adam Pearce as he signs the contract to become Raw's newest superstar.
Rhea Ripley is walking backstage and comes across Becky Lynch: Rhea smiles:
Shinsuke is backstage and cryptically states that he's waiting for his next target.
Match 5 - DREW MCINTYRE def. THE MIZ by disqualification (67%)Sami Zayn returns from injury and gets McIntyre disqualified when he attacks him. |

Friday 5th January 2024Von Braun Center, Alabama - Attendance: 9,000Show Rating: 87% - Viewers: 3.59m
The show opens with the Bloodline, led by Roman Reigns, entering the arena. After having the crowd acknowledge him, Roman began questioning who would win the Rumble and attempt to take his place as the face of this company. Randy Orton answered instantly, telling him he owes Roman and the Bloodline for losing him 18 months of his career and he'll do that by taking his title. LA Knight then comes out with his targets set on the Bloodline too after their interference cost him the title at Crown Jewel. A stream of other stars start coming out all looking for a shot before Nick Aldis interrupts and announces that Roman needs a contender for Royal Rumble so a tournament will commence now to determine who it will be! Match 1 - KEVIN OWENS def. GRAYSON WALLER (w/ Austin Theory) by pinfall (82%)Kevin wins after hitting Grayson with a stunner, as Austin watched on from ringside. After the match Grayson questions why Austin Theory didn't intervene to help him out.
Judgement Day are walking backstage and get stopped by a passing Nick Aldis. Aldis continues walking as Judgement Day vent their anger.
Match 2 - DRAGON LEE def. SANTOS ESCOBAR (w/ ELEKTRA LOPEZ) by disqualification (66%)Dragon Lee gets the DQ after Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo attack Dragon when he was on the brink of beating Santos. Legada del Fantasma start beating down Dragon Lee before the LWO run down to chase them off.
"DAMAGE CTRL" Bayley leads Damage CTRL to the ring to outline their plan for the Rumble: "THIS IS MY BRUTALITYYY" Rhea makes her way to the ring and goes face to face with Bayley as the rest of Damage CTRL back out of the ring. Bayley backs away slightly as they stare down before Rhea grins and leaves. Match 3 - THE KABUKI WARRIORS (w/ BAYLEY, DAKOTA KAI & IYO SKY) def. THE UNHOLY UNION by pinfall (77%)Asuka gets the win in quick fashion.
The Final Testament are backstage as Karrion Kross outlines their intentions to dominate Smackdown, and that he will start that by winning the tournament and taking Roman Reigns' title at the Royal Rumble. Match 4 - RANDY ORTON def. KARRION KROSS (w/ SCARLETT, PAUL ELLERING & AOP) by pinfall (82%)Despite interference from AOP, Randy gets the win after an RKO to Karrion. AOP run in and start beating down Orton after the match as Karrion gets back to his feet and joins in. Roman Reigns and the Bloodline enter the arena and laugh at Randy's beating as the show ends. |

MATCH 1 for the UNDISPUTED WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - JUDGEMENT DAY (FINN BÁLOR & DAMIAN PRIEST w/ "DIRTY" DOMINIK MYSTERIO & JD MCDONAGH) def. #DIY (JOHNNY GARGANO & TOMMASO CIAMPA) by pinfall (83%)
Damian Priest gets the pin after JD McDonagh interferes and hits Gargano with a chair.
After the match, Damian and Finn grab mics and say that if Nick Aldis wants them to defend their titles every week then this is the damage he'll see on Smackdown.
Alpha Academy are warming up backstage as Chad Gable gives Akira Tozawa a pep talk before he faces Dexter Lumis.
MATCH 2 - DEXTER LUMIS def. AKIRA TOZAWA (w/ CHAD GABLE, OTIS & MAXXINE DUPRI) by pinfall (66%)
Despite Alpha Academy's support, Dexter Lumis grabs the win with a power bomb.
#DIY backstage are icing themselves after their loss but welcome Dexter back as he reaches backstage. Chad Gable faces up to Dexter and demands a match next week so he can defend the Academy, and Dexter nods in agreement.
An angry Drew McIntyre storms into Pearce's office and demands a match with Sami Zayn after he attacked him last week. Pearce tells him Sami had already asked for the match and it was booked in the main event.
MATCH 3 - NIA JAX def. NATALYA (w/ TEGAN NOX) by pinfall (58%)
Jax overpowers Natalya and wins in a dominant fashion.
Tegan Fox slides into the ring to check on Natalya after the bell rings and Nia squashes her. She then grabs a mic and proclaims she'll be entering the rumble and targeting Rhea Ripley's title.
An Andrade vignette is shown before his match.
MATCH 4 - ANDRADE def. SHINSUKE NAKAMURA by disqualification (73%)
Andrade is given the win after Shinsuke refuses to break at the referee's count while choking him on the rope.
As Andrade recovers Shinsuke looks directly into the corner and shouts "I'M WAITING".
A confrontation is shown from earlier in the day when Jey Uso approached Imperium and says he wants a title shot. Gunther tells him he's not on his level and has to earn it first by beating Ludwig and Giovanni.
MATCH 5 - JEY USO def. GIOVANNI VINCI (w/ LUDWIG KAISER) by pinfall (73%)
Jey Uso deals with Giovanni in fairly quick fashion, finishing with the Uso splash.
After the match he points to Ludwig and shouts:
Xia Li enters Pearce's office and says she wants another shot at Rhea Ripley after last week. He tells her she has to earn it though and agrees to give her a match to do so tonight. As she leaves Chelsea Green & Piper Niven walk in and demand a title shot, he tells them it's booked for next week.
MATCH 6 - XIA LI vs ZOEY STARK ends in a no contest (52%)
The match is only a few minutes in when a returning Ronda Rousey runs in from the crowd and takes them both out.
She puts Zoey Stark into the armbar and screams at the camera to Shayna Baszler asking if she has her attention.
MATCH 7 - IVAR vs "BIG" BRONSON REED ends in a double countout (62%)
Ivar and Bronson Reed ignore the referee's count and continue brawling outside the ring before Bronson takes Ivar out by throwing him through a barrier.
Cody Rhodes is backstage with Cathy and tells her that is focus is now entirely on the Royal Rumble and finishing the story.
Sami Zayn is backstage before his match and says he wants to injure Drew the same way he hurt him and put him out of action for some time.
MATCH 8 - SAMI ZAYN def. DREW MCINTYRE by countout (79%)
Sami manages to make it back in the ring just in time for the count as Drew misses it.
In anger he takes out Sami viciously before putting him through the announce table with a future shock DDT. |
