Juventud Guerrera & Lance Cade vs Spike Dudley & Rhyno

This match opened Velocity and Juventud got the victory pinning Rhyno. It was a sub par match that didn't get much heat from the crowd, Rhyno & Spike Dudley had great chemistry as a team.

Matt Morgan (4-2) vs Danny Basham (4-5)

The commentary team spend the match talking about the physique of Matt Morgan. Morgan pinned Basham to move to 5-2. It was a terrible match.

-Eric Bischoff hypes up Heat tomorrow night, Heat will feature Sylvain Grenier vs Hardcore Holly as one of its matches.

Psicosis & A-Train vs Chavo Guerrero & Mark Jindrak

Chavo Guerrero pinned Psicosis and won the matchup. This match had better wrestling but still little heat.

Val Venis (6-2) vs Sylvain Grenier (3-6)

Up next we have Val Venis taking on Grenier, Venis won their first singles matchup last month on Raw, but Grenier gets a chance at redemption here, the announcers talk about Val's decent start to the year and speculate if he has what it takes to achieve more gold in the WWE. Venis gets the win to move to 7-2. This match had a decent reaction from the crowd.

Bradshaw looked dominant winning the match quickly in a match that unfortunately fell short.

Warrior dominates sending Shannon Moore to a 1-8 record on the year

Overall it was a 65 rated Velocity which we are happy with. Viewership still down at 186K despite what seemed to be a better show.

Al Snow & Rosey vs Scott Steiner & Mark Henry
Winner by pinfall: Al Snow
Rating: 59. A solid performance from everyone involved. Al Snow gets what some would call an upset victory and wins his 2nd match of the year.

- Vince McMahon is in the ring before being interrupted by WWE Heavyweight champion Shane McMahon flanked by his Titan Towers cohorts. The two had a heated exchange which led to the champion Shane hitting Vince. Vince tried to fight but was mauled by Shane and his stable, being left laying unconscious in the ring after a vicious beatdown before medical staff could get out. This got more heat on Titan Towers as a stable and Shane himself.

- Replays of Shane's attack were shown and Jericho was interviewed about what he thought seeing that all happen from backstage.

- The 2005 Royal Rumble winner Batista was out in the ring to a huge reaction. He talked about how after Wrestlemania, he will be running things here in the WWE. Chris Jericho says Batista does not have what it takes to get that far in the WWE, meanwhile Y2J says he will rise up the card to challenge and take out Batista before Wrestlemania. Goldberg was out next and made his intentions clear in a short promo afterward. All 3 men ended up coming together for a fight before the end of the segment.

World Wrestling Entertainment presents RAW

-Hype for the opening of RAW and No Way Out 2005 which is coming up this weekend, we still have no matches announced (my bad, can't believe I haven't posted in a month.) A huge match has already been announced, as we will see William Regal vs Shawn Michaels 1 on 1 tonight.

Opening Contest: Brian Kendrick & Nunzio vs Lance Cade & Ultimo Dragon

A fast paced tag matchup to get things underway from Houston here tonight, Kendrick scores his 4th win of the year as he pinned Lance Cade. Cade and Dragon take the loss tonight. Match got a decent effort out of all involved.

-Backstage, Kurt Angle is pissed at commish Austin. We find out it is because He has booked Angle & Batista to team up tonight in our main event against Mick Foley and Randy Orton.

-Eddie Guerrero comes out and cuts a promo. He says he knows that he has matches left to win to get back in title contention. Eddie believes that he can get one of those wins tonight, and reveals that Austin has booked him to face none other than Goldberg later tonight on what is shaping up to be an explosive night on Raw, don't go anywhere!

WWE Cruiserweight #1 Contender's Match: Psicosis vs Billy Kidman

WWE Cruiserweight champion Juventud Guerrera is out to watch this matchup. He will face the winner on Smackdown later this week. This match was a great back and forth cruiserweight matchup with Billy Kidman emerging with the victory and #1 contendership. He will go one on one with Juventud on Smackdown. Hopefully we can elevate the cruiserweight division and make it feel like a bigger deal, maybe that requires a new face of the division.

Tag Team Match: Mark Jindrak & Stevie Richards vs Bubba Ray Dudley & Rosey

Decent enough short tag team match. Stevie Richards pinned Rosey

- Triple H comes out to the ring and cuts a promo about the state of the WWE right now. Triple H talks about the balance of power in the WWE, mentioning Titan Towers and their current influence on the landscape of WWE.

- Backstage, Kurt Angle is talking with Austin and listing all of his accomplishments as reasons he can't be booked on a whim in matches like this. Austin gets a phone call and leaves.

Singles Match: Vader vs Tajiri

The super heavyweight Vader defeated Tajiri after a Vader Bomb. Vader's first match since the Royal Rumble and despite a really good performance some have to question where his career will be going from here. Vader has not held a title in any promotion in 5 years and it seems the crowds are starting to care less about him.

- Interview with Triple H backstage

- Backstage, Batista tells his opponents neither of them will add Batista's name to their list of wins.

- Also backstage, Flair tells us he will be at ringside for the huge tag match tonight and on commentary.

- Eddie is getting ready for his showdown with Goldberg backstage

6 Man Tag: Ernest Miller, Paul London and Hardcore Holly vs Ken Shamrock, LA Park and Chuck Palumbo

Chuck Palumbo has looked very impressive in 2005 he's got a 6 man tonight as he looks to continue building momentum. To the surprise of everyone it was Ernest Miller catching Palumbo with a perfectly placed kick resulting in a big upset victory.

- Eddie gives a quick interview before heading out to face Goldberg

Singles Match: Goldberg vs Eddie Guerrero

Goldberg defeated Eddie using the power advantage,the fans were fully behind Eddie but he coulnd't get the win.

Singles Match: William Regal vs Shawn Michaels

Another huge match on Raw sees two of the absolute best to ever do it going one on one, it was William Regal pinning Michaels. HBK moves to 5-7 on the year.

Tag Match: Randy Orton & Mick Foley vs Kurt Angle & Batista

The Wrestlemania opponents were able to put aside the tension for one night to score the win over Foley and Orton in the raw main event.

Raw drew 4.14 million viewers down from 4.23 million last week

Thursday Week 2 Feb 2005

We head into No Way Out 2005 with a packed edition of Smackdown. Tonight's main event sees World Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle in action against Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton in a triple threat. This is not a favorable spot for Angle as he will be defending at No Way Out against 2 veterans in a triple threat. It will be Angle vs Flair vs Foley in the No Way Out main event for the World Heavyweight title.

Nick Nemeth & Brent Albright vs Luther Reigns & Nunzio

Smackdown starts with a short tag team match between some young guys trying to make their way up the card here in WWE. It was a competitive tag match that ended with Luther Reigns winning by submission over Nick Nemeth. Reigns has now won his last 2 matches.

Rob Conway vs Heidenreich

Heidenreich building momentum with a 5-2 record. Conway battles and gets some offense in and they give a decent enough match. Heidenreich wins and moves to 6-2.

Akio vs Psicosis

Next we have cruiserweight division action with Psicosis taking on Akio. Psicosis fell short on Raw to earn the #1 contendership for the cruiseweight title. Psicosis looked great being one step ahead of Akio the entire match and getting the win.

-Clips of Angle backstage getting ready for another match. He has a tough schedule to work before a PPV title defense.

- We see Titan Towers attacking Kane, one of the competitors in Shane's title defense tomorrow night.

Tajiri vs Ernest Miller

Tajiri back in action after losing to Vader on Raw, in against Ernest Miller who KO'd Chuck Palumbo for a big upset in a 6 man on Raw. These men trending in different directions but this should be a great showcase of martial arts striking, specifically kicks, within pro wrestling. Tajiri sits at 1-6 coming into the match, but after the victory moves to 2-6

- Shelton Benjamin interview

- Backstage, Shawn Michaels is interviewed, he recalls when he was pinned by Kurt Angle at the Royal Rumble. Michaels says that tonight he is ready to avenge that loss in the triple threat.

Chavo Guerrero vs Paul London

Paul London gives Chavo his 3rd loss of the year getting a pin in another good cruiserweight match tonight.

- Shawn Michaels asked about tonights match with Angle and the potential of a rematch one on one if Shawn pins Angle tonight.

- Randy Orton is in the building and getting ready for another main event spot for him tonight.

Scotty 2 Hotty & Ken Shamrock vs Booker T & Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash pinned Scotty 2 Hotty in a quick tag match

- Juventud Guerrera is interviewed before his WWE Cruiserweight title defense up next.

- Brock Lesnar is in the ring with Paul Heyman, Heyman calls out Shane McMahon and Titan Towers and tells Shane McMahon to enjoy his last few nights with the WWE Heavyweight title, because Brock is going to take it from him at No Way Out.

Juventud successfully defends in a fast paced cruiserweight showcase.

Goldberg, Rob Van Dam & Sting vs Eddie Guerrero, William Regal and Ric Flair

In our co-main event we have a mega 6 man tag, a favorite of WWE's new booking as they give chances for new rivalries to develop and for big upsets to occur. Tonight's is particularly star studded. The Flair/Sting rivalry gets renewed tonight in Louisville. Goldberg & RVD will face off against each other at No Way Out for the US Title., Sting will be in a triple threat for the IC Title against Batista and Chris Benoit. Eddie Guerrero looks to get revenge on Goldberg from Raw, Regal looks to continue rolling and Flair looks to build momentum heading into the main event on Sunday. William Regal submitted current US champion RVD to win the match. After the match it was announced that Regal will be added making the US Title match a triple threat with RVD vs Goldberg vs Regal

Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels vs Randy Orton

Now on to another huge WWE main event, these kind of matches are PPV main event quality, but the WWE roster is so stacked we bring them to you for free on the TV shows. Kurt Angle submitted Randy Orton to get the win.

85 Rated Smackdown increases popularity in 21 regions. 3.51 million viewers down significantly from last weeks 3.92 million.

-Backstage, Rey Mysterio is interviewed before he teams with Val Venis to take on Mark Jindrak & Scott Steiner a little bit later on tonight

- Triple H and Titan Towers brush off an interview attempt and just walk on by, clearly not happy about the situation tonight.

WWE Intercontinental Title: Batista (c) vs Sting vs Chris Benoit

Sting dethroned Batista to become the new WWE Intercontinental champion. Sting wins his first ever gold in the WWE. It was a hard fought matchup from beginning to end with each superstar showing why they are at the top of this sport. It was Sting who pinned Chris Benoit, causing Batista to lose his title without even being pinned. The announcers question what this means for the future of the IC Title and whether or not Batista will seek revenge or just focus on the Wrestlemania main event. (87)

WWE United States Title 4 Way Steel Cage: RVD (c) vs Big Show vs Goldberg vs William Regal

About as tough of a spot as it gets for our US champion tonight who is definitely not favored to walk out of the cage with the US Title still in hand. He took a pin from William Regal just this week and looked beatable. It was Goldberg pinning RVD to win the WWE United States title. (79)

WWE Heavyweight 4 Way Steel Cage: Shane McMahon (c) vs Kane vs Chris Jericho vs Brock Lesnar

Another matchup that looks stacked against the champion especially taking place in a steel cage where Shane's stable members will be unable to get involved. Brock Lesnar was the announcers favorite to dethrone. Will we see three title changes in a row? We did not as Shane McMahon did the impossible pinning Kane to successfully retain getting out of the cage sustaining minimal damage. Shane continues to defy all odds. (83)

World Heavyweight Triple Threat: Kurt Angle (c) vs Ric Flair vs Mick Foley

To begin the match, Angle dominates with his exceptional wrestling skills and his legitimate athleticism. As the match went on the two veterans began working together and double teaming Angle. Flair and Foley take turns wearing Angle down. Despite the beatdowns Angle fights back as valiantly as he can, he kicks out of several near-falls and even had the Ankle Lock on both opponents at different points of the match. As the match went on, Angle hit his signature Angle Slam on Foley and went for the cover but Flair pulled the ref out of the ring, Angle went to Flair and locked in the Ankle Lock. Foley hits Angle with a low blow from behind, and grabs the signature barbed wire baseball bat and waits for Kurt to get to his feet. Foley takes a swing at Angle, but Angle ducks and it connects with Flair instead. Angle tries a desperation rollup but Foley kicks out. Foley seized the opportunity to attack with the bat and quickly apply the Mandible Claw, which left a beaten and bloodied Kurt Angle with no choice but to submit. Mick Foley wins the World Heavyweight Title. What a night here in Nashville. (87)

An 86 rated show increases popularity in 7 regions. It did a buyrate of 1.52 million buys, down from the 2.16 million buys for the Royal Rumble.
