Before I start, just a few warnings about everything that's going on. Of course TEW IX is out and I've already played it and even found it interesting, but I started this savegame three months ago and I've felt a passion for it that I haven't felt in a long time. That's why I've decided to share here my story that I've been building over the past few months.
One of my main points is to rewrite the story, so I don't worry too much about what happened and give it an alternative reality through how I feel about wrestlers and professionals and what the TEW game gives me.
Finally, I'd like to point out that my first language is not English and I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that it doesn't feel like an easy read.

Las Vegas, Nevada. 13 528 people 4.96 TV Rating (Spike TV, J Sports, Sky Sports 1, Sky Sports, Sports Network)
Week 1, January 2004 ______________________________________________________________________
Shawn Michaels is anxious.
Who will face Molly Holly?
The Dudley Boyz (D-Von Dudley & Bubba Ray Dudley) defeat Test & Scott Steiner in 11 minutes.
It was an intense match between two completely different teams. Test and Steiner are inexperienced as a team, while on the other side is one of the most experienced teams in the world of Wrestling. But the individual quality of Test and Steiner managed to balance this match, which ended with a beautiful 3-D, and promptly Bubba Ray Dudley went for the pin and ended the match. Grade: C+
Maven defeats Sylvain Grenier in 8 minutes.
An interesting contest between two technical wrestlers, but Maven proved superior with his skill and ended up getting the better of the member of the stable La Resistance. After the match, he promptly celebrated euphorically, pointing to himself while shouting: "Don't forget about me, 2004 is my year!" Grade: C
Highlight Reel: Jericho and the forgotten ones of the Roster? "Fear of the Evolution?!"
Kane destroys Rico in 2 minutes.
A match without much story, Kane came in and completely destroyed Rico, ending the match, showing all his superiority. Grade: C
McMahon and his monster.
Gail Kim defeats Lita, Trish Stratus & Jacqueline in 7 minutes.
At stake was the opportunity to fight for Molly Holly's championship. The match was very interesting, with Lita and Trish Stratus showing their technical superiority over the other opponents. However, they ended up getting lost in a very personal dispute between the two, and thus Gail Kim, with all her experience, managed to apply an "Eat Defeat" to Jacqueline and steal the victory. Grade: C+
Lita furiously attacks Trish Stratus.
Mick Foley still hasn't seen the Evolution.
Jericho defeats Shawn Michaels in 16 minutes.
A wonderful match between two stars of the company. Shawn Michaels started on top, but Jericho showed all his skill and managed to make it a balanced contest. The victory could have gone either way, butShawn Michaels was about to win when the Evolution's theme music played, and the seconds' distraction for HBK allowed Chris Jericho to take advantage and win with a roll-up pin. Grade: A
Gambling Time for the Evolution.

First of all: damn, you're Portuguese too! Portugal, c***lho!!!
Second of all: it's refreshing to see short written shows. I can't seem to resume my shows that well, so, props to you for being able to.
Third of all: So, you're using TEW 2020? I thought so, but I'm not sure because of the grades.
---
We can all agree that 2004 won't be Maven's year, but the clueless underdog gimmick will always work, specially with Maven, who we actually liked to see get beat up (nothing against the guy, personally).
I wonder what's Hardy's proposition for RVD. A team, maybe?
So, Kane is masked again now? Or are we supposed to pretend that he never lost the mask in the first place? Btw, I like his affiliation with Vince and would actually like it to continue after the feud with Taker.
Looking at the Women's Title picture, one has to think: early 2004 could've been good in what comes to women's wrestling in WWE. Most of them were decent enough. Molly vs. Gail is a great match on paper and Lita vs. Trish is a great non-title feud to follow. They never had a Mania Match...
Pretty great main event to start your diary with. The classic theme distraction works and the post-match is the best part of it. Cool thing.
Small tip: put the date of the show on the header, please!

Só reparei agora que também és tuga! fod*-se! vamoooo! I've only just realised that you're tuga too! Yes, I'm using the ratings. Mine are different, because I managed to find one that gives you the lyrics, Meltzer's stars and the numbers.
Kane's mask is a mistake I made, but when I gave him the mask at first I thought I'd take it off but then I thought of something funnier to do. He lost the mask, but got it back in a timeline I forgot to mention.
The women's division is something I've always liked, ever since I started watching, and it's going to be one of my jobs to improve it a lot quicker than it actually happened.
Thanks for the comment and the tip, I did forget the date of the show.
About the shows being quick and very short: To be honest these were notes I had because in the save I'm already a good few months ahead and it's not so clear in my mind what happened in such detail!

Miami, Florida. | 11 461 people. | 3.91 TV Rating Week 1, January 2024
- A warning from a friend. SmackDown begins with the General Manager of SmackDown, Paul Heyman, and his monster and champion Brock Lesnar in the center of the ring. Heyman takes the microphone and issues a warning, according to him a friendly warning, that Hardcore Holly can still back out of the match against Brock Lesnar because he will end up injured and destroyed as Lesnar has done before. Rating: B+
Chris Benoit v. Billy Gunn Benoit defeated Billy Gunn in an eight-minute contest. It all ended with a Diving Headbutt that left Billy Gunn completely motionless, giving Benoit another victory, his first victory of 2004 and the first victory of the first match of 2004 on SmackDown. Rating: C+
- Everyone wants the same thing. After the victory, a still breathless Benoit asked for the microphone and promptly, as soon as he had it, asked for Big Show to present himself before him. That championship that Big Show had around his waist was something he wanted very much. Instead of Big Show, Kurt Angle appeared. The Olympic medalist asked why Benoit thought he had the right to ask for an opportunity when he had done nothing. Another person appeared, and incredibly it was not Big Show, the champion, but the former United States champion: Eddie Guerrero, accompanied by Chavo Guerrero. Eddie told both of them that he knew what it was like to be a champion, so he was going to fight for the championship, not the other two. The confusion and argument grew louder and only ended when Paul Heyman appeared on the screens to end all the discussion: Eddie Guerrero, Benoit, and Kurt Angle would face each other, and the winner would challenge Big Show for the United States Championship at the Royal Rumble. Rating: A
- Tajiri could be champion again A quick announcement, Tajiri will face Rey Mysterio, and the Cruiserweight Championship will be on the line. Rating: C
John Cena v. Shelton Benjamin Interestingly, one of the best matches of the night. Shelton Benjamin and John Cena put on a fabulous technical and wrestling spectacle. However, the match ended after twelve minutes when John Cena applied an F-U to Shelton Benjamin after he attempted a dangerous move from the top rope. Rating: A
Matt Morgan v. Orlando Jordan After the commercial break, two more wrestlers promptly appeared in the ring. Matt Morgan and Orlando Jordan. The match didn't last long because Morgan destroyed Orlando Jordan in just over three minutes. When the contest ended, Matt Morgan posed with his foot on Orlando Jordan, showing all his dominance. Rating: C+
- The Italians have something to say. Before the next match started, Tazz and Michael Cole commented on how John Cena could be the breakout star of 2004 and the proof of that was the spectacle he put on today against Shelton Benjamin. However, everything was interrupted when the Full Blooded Italians, Nunzio, Steamboli, and Palumbo, decided to send some messages to the supposed rising star John Cena. He needed to know his place because the FBI had been seeking glory for longer and would not be surpassed by John Cena and his disrespectful attitude. Rating: C
Kurt Angle v. A-Train Kurt Angle had his first preparation match for the confrontation he would have against Benoit and Eddie Guerrero, and it would be a good test: A-Train was with him in the ring, the match was intense but clearly Kurt Angle showed to be superior and was almost taking the victory. However, Eddie Guerrero appeared at the top of the ramp, which completely distracted Angle and the referee, allowing Chavo Guerrero to land a hard chair shot to the Olympic medalist. A-Train, who until that moment was about to lose, only had to go for the pin and end the contest. Rating: B-
- Who? John Cena is in the locker room when he is questioned by Justin Roberts about what he has to say to the Full Blooded Italians who sent him bold messages. Cena laughs and asks: Who are they again? Rating: B-
- Royal Rumble's First Match! The first match for the Royal Rumble is announced, Bradshaw and Ron Simmons will face Doug Basham and Danny Basham for the tag team championship. Rating: C
- He'll pay the bill! Hardcore Holly is in the arena. He is promptly approached and he simply says that he is no longer afraid of Lesnar and will make him pay for all the damage he has caused. Rating: B+
WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Rey Mysterio © v. Tajiri After this match, we only have to remember one name: Kyo Dai. The stable composed of Tajiri, Sakoda, and Akio caused havoc on the first SmackDown of 2004. When Rey Mysterio was about to win and apply his 619 to finish off Tajiri and retain his championship, Sakoda and Akio intervened and quickly struck Mysterio, changing the course of the match. Thus, Tajiri managed to regain his championship and become a four-time Cruiserweight champion, matching Billy Kidman's record. Rating: B-
- When will it be his turn? Eddie and Chavo Guerrero are in the locker room getting ready to leave when Chavo asks his uncle when he will have the opportunity to show himself. Eddie Guerrero responds that he will have his moment; he just needs to be patient because everything will come. Right now, it is about regaining the United States Championship at the Royal Rumble. Rating: B-
- Once again, Lesnar. Big Show was waiting for Hardcore Holly in the ring, but as soon as Holly put a foot past the curtains, Brock Lesnar, the champion, appeared and began to completely destroy the contender and his opponent at the Royal Rumble. The blows were intense and ended with an F-5 on the metal ramp that left Hardcore Holly completely motionless. Heyman appeared and said that the SmackDown crowd still needed a Main Event, and for that reason, he asked Lesnar to leave Holly's body in the ring and for the match to begin. Rating: B+
Hardcore Holly v. Big Show The main event had no story, Big Show observed and took advantage to win. He applied a Chokeslam to Holly's motionless body and went for the pin. 1. 2. 3. Hardcore Holly had lost and suffered once again at the hands of Brock Lesnar. Rating: B-

Salt Lake City, 15 000 people (Sold out), 4.52 TV Rating Week 2, January 2004.
- Monday Night Raw Begins and Jericho's Path Monday Night Raw kicks off with Evolution in the ring. They begin commenting on last week, where they couldn't destroy Shawn Michaels' dream even inside the RAW building. Imagine what they'll do when they get in the ring with him. Contrary to everyone's expectations, Chris Jericho appears. He requests to be included in the match for the world championship at Royal Rumble. Triple H responds, saying Jericho wouldn't have won if it weren't for them, but Mick Foley, the authority figure, appears and says he doesn't mind putting Jericho in the match on the last Sunday of January at Royal Rumble. For that to happen, Jericho has to defeat Ric Flair tonight, Batista next week, and on the final Monday Night Raw, he has to beat Randy Orton. Only then can he be in the Royal Rumble match for the world championship. Chris Jericho accepts without hesitation. Rating: A+ Maven vs. Rene Duprée Last week, Maven announced to everyone that 2004 would be his year. Now, he's back in the ring, this time facing Rene Duprée, who is accompanied by the rest of La Resistance. The match is very balanced, but everything changes when Maven is about to hit Duprée, and Rob Conway pulls his leg. The referee orders the remaining La Resistance members to leave, and they comply, but the distraction allows Rene to hit Maven with a low blow, leading to a pinfall victory. Rating: C+ - Little lasting promise? Rob Conway and Sylvain Grenier return to the ring, and together with Rene Dupree, they furiously attack Maven. After leaving him unconscious, Rene Dupree mocks the situation, stating that Maven's year of success lasted at most a week. Rating: B- - The long-awaited proposal. Rob Van Dam is in the locker room when he is quickly approached by Matt Hardy, who wants to talk. RVD listens to Hardy's proposal, which is simple: team up to dominate a division they've both proven themselves in. Rob Van Dam has been ECW champion three times and was tag team champion with Kane last year. Matt Hardy has been a five-time tag team champion in WWE and once in WCW. It's clear this is the division they need to target for success. Rob Van Dam nods in agreement. Though he didn't verbally respond, it seems Matt Hardy and Rob Van Dam are now a team. Rating: B+ - Gail Kim's Objective Jonathan Coachman interviews Gail Kim, the number one contender for the championship currently held by Molly Holly. Gail Kim's message is clear: her goal is to reclaim the championship she lost to Molly Holly last July. Rating: C Gail Kim vs. Jazz Gail Kim faces Jazz, with Molly Holly at the commentary table. The match is quick but showcases the quality of both wrestlers. Jazz can't overcome Gail Kim, who secures the victory. After winning, Gail Kim celebrates and sends a clear message to Molly Holly. The champion stands up, and the two exchange intense looks. Rating: C+ Lance Storm vs. Mark Jindrak After the commercial break, Lance Storm and Mark Jindrak are in the ring for a match. It's a technically solid contest. Mark Jindrak comes close to winning several times, but it ends when Storm locks Jindrak in a Sharpshooter, forcing him to surrender. Rating: B- - Trish Stratus' Challenge Trish Stratus, not one to hold back, expresses her indignation over last week's events and wants to settle things in the ring. She claims Lita is not someone to disrespect her and that she can't be blamed for the incompetence of the Extreme Diva. Stratus is on a mission to show Lita just how incompetent she is. Rating: C+ Al Snow vs. Matt Hardy The match between Al Snow and Matt Hardy is fiercely contested, allowing Hardy to showcase his resilience. He endures pain and seizes his moment to win with a Twist of Fate, ending the match. Rating: C+ - New Team Announcement While celebrating, Rob Van Dam appears at the top of the ramp, eyes locked on Hardy. They shake hands, making it official: a new team has been born on Monday Night Raw, aiming for great things in 2004. Rating: B+ - Mick Foley's Encouragement Chris Jericho is preparing in the locker room for the first of his challenging matches on Monday Night Raw to achieve his goal. Mick Foley appears and tells him that this was the only solution but has confidence that Jericho will reach his desired prize and be at Royal Rumble 2004 competing for the world championship. Rating: A- Chris Jericho vs. Ric Flair Ric Flair is Chris Jericho's first challenge, and it could have been the last, but it wasn't. Jericho manages to defeat the multi-time world champion, but the victory comes with a lot of drama. Jericho fights with constant worry because Batista and Randy Orton are at ringside. Just as he's about to win, Orton and Batista try to distract or threaten him without attacking. In the final moments, when Evolution realizes Jericho is about to win, they try to interfere, but the Dudley Boyz clear the way, eliminating Batista and Orton. With a neckbreaker, Flair is unable to escape the pinfall. Jericho has overcome the first challenge. Rating: B+ - The boss is back. Jericho is accompanied by Bubba and Devon out of the ring, while Triple H is furious. He grabs the microphone and announces he's tired of Mick Foley's actions and that Foley can't just book any match he wants. Foley appears and says he can and will do it again because Triple H will face Goldberg in tonight's main event! The crowd goes wild, but not for long, as Kane appears and starts destroying everything in sight. Vince McMahon follows with a smug smile and announces: "The boss is back!" Rating: A

Loved this time period!
I also really like the formatting of the last two shows, very clean and simple to follow along.
Looking forward to seeing the stories unfold! Already like how you have Y2J going thru the Evolution gauntlet and Vince with his demon Kane! Eddie/Benoit/Angle triple threat is gonna rule!

Atlanta, Georgia. | 13 000 people SOLD OUT | 4.02 TV RatingWeek 2, January 2004.Fewer words, more action.

US #1 Contender Match: Eddie Guerrero defeat. Benoit and Angle.
It was a very balanced contest, with the victory feeling within reach for any of the participants at any moment. However, one factor decided it all. Chavo Guerrero intervened once again in favor of his uncle, as when Kurt Angle was about to make Benoit submit, Chavo made sure Benoit reached the ropes, forcing the Ankle Lock to be broken. A furious Angle then turned his attention to Chavo, giving Eddie Guerrero the opportunity to quickly steal the victory with a roll-up pin, becoming the number one contender for the United States Championship. Rating: A-

Rating: B-
John Cena defeat. Rhyno
The 2004 prospect entered the ring once again, with Cena facing Rhyno on SmackDown. The match could have been more competitive, but Cena proved to be on a different level than the experienced Rhyno, quickly ending the match with an F-U, crushing the former ECW star's hopes of taking home the victory. Rating: B-
You'll definitely get to know us.
While celebrating, Cena is interrupted by the Full Blooded Italians. Nunzio, looking angry and arrogant, accompanied by Steamboli and Palumbo, declares that John Cena might not know them, but he is about to meet the FBI and, above all, respect them. Cena remains calm and composed in the center of the ring. Rating: C+Another masquerade for the party!
Rey Mysterio is in the center of the ring. He simply can't understand why Tajiri has to play so dirty and tarnish the reputation of the Cruiserweight division. For that reason, he asks Tajiri to come to the ring immediately and give him the rematch he deserves. However, Akio and Sakoda appear from behind the former champion, viciously attacking him and leaving him on the ground. The beating is halted when Ultimo Dragon drives away the attackers, helping Rey Mysterio to his feet, and they exchange handshakes. Rating: C+
Looking for one thing, he found another.
Kurt Angle is looking for Heyman, demanding clarification on the situation. He feels he was robbed. Rating: A
Billy Gunn wants a match.
Billy Gunn is in the center of the ring with a microphone. He announces to everyone that, despite not being scheduled for a match, he will find a way to get one, and for that reason, he issues an Open Challenge to anyone on the blue brand's roster. Matt Morgan, who already fought earlier and destroyed Funaki, decides to answer the challenge. Rating: C+

Gunn was trying to improve his position within the company, but this Open Challenge was a bad idea, as Matt Morgan delivered the same punishment he had dished out to Funaki earlier in the night, leaving Gunn with no chance as he brutally destroyed him. Rating: C
Signing the contract.
Heyman and Brock Lesnar are in the center of the ring. It's time for the contract signing, but only Lesnar is present. He signs the contract, and Heyman takes the opportunity to direct some unkind words toward Holly, accusing him of being a coward and lacking the courage to face Lesnar, let alone be WWE Champion. However, Hardcore Holly appears behind Heyman and Lesnar, taking down the massive WWE Champion with a chair and pointing it at Heyman. The General Manager pleads with him not to do it, but Holly doesn't listen and delivers a hard blow. With Heyman and Lesnar on the ground, SmackDown ends with Holly signing the contract and staring at the WWE Championship lying on the mat. Rating: A-
