DISCLAIMER: I just wanted somewhere to document this Backyard to Global Challenge. I'm using EWR as I prefer to spend the time thinking through things and putting something together visually to get more a feel for things as opposed to getting everything into another sim, and starting with the usual $0, 0 image, 0 everything. To make it more of a challenge I'm also doing a Women's only promotion, as there aren't very many in the $0-$3000 range (and fewer talent in general), and generally the stats are lower so I'm hoping it won't be straight forward. To balance this I have done a couple of extra things to help in the beginning by adding an announcer and a referee, with low talent at each skill! The roster will be fairly rigid to begin with until we start to earn a bit of money, from there the roster will start to be expanded. I'll try to introduce the wrestlers as best I can as I go through, Google and Cagematch are certainly my friends for this! BackstoryWomen's Pro Wrestling (WPW) is a new independent wrestling promotion showcasing female talent from around the world. The promotion hopes to showcase good, competitive action. It's been documented that the owner isn't exactly a tycoon but has managed to recruit 10 performers to the roster as the company gets going. 6 Americans and 4 from Japan. The talent roster is young with the oldest wrestler being 30 years old, and the only one at the time of the first show in their 30's. 4 of the roster members are also 21 or younger, with room to develop and grow into stars. The company has also managed to garner a small amount of Sponsorship from a few places, including a gym, restaurant, newspaper and general store to help with some basic startup costs. First Show
The first show takes place on Friday 4th October 2024 and the first match card is in, including the crowning of the first ever WPW Champion. Singles Match Airica Demia vs Suzumi In our opening contest, 19 year old American Airica Demia takes on 25 year old Japanese wrestler Suzume. Airica has been wrestling since 2023 and has competed in promotions such as CZW and Shine and has a ROH match against Nyla Rose in her young career. All she wants is to be your hero. Suzume on the other hand has 5 years experience and has spent most of her young career competing for TJPW in Japan. She is hoping to take her career forward by wrestling in the US. Using "The spirit of the beehive" she hopes to sting whomever she comes up against!
Singles Match Sasha Sparks vs Vanilla Vargas Next up is 21 year old Sasha Sparks (AKA Jacey Love) who has been cheerleading her way around the US independents, competing in promotions such as CCW and WOW. She has also faced Julia Hart during an episode of AEW Dark. Her opponent is 29 year old Puerto Rican Vanilla Vargas, who has been active since 2014. More recently found in IWA: Puerto Rico, CWA and WWC she has also an extensive line of work in AAA in Mexico, honing her skills in the lucha libre style. She is here to prove that the luchador style is the way forward in wrestling.
Singles Match Hanan vs Allie Katch 19 year old Hanan from Japan has a ridiculous 7 years experience already and has been a mainstay in Stardom since her 2017 debut. "The Young Lioness" has decided after 7 years in Stardom that it was time to broaden her horizons, moving to the US to continue her career. Standing in her way is 30 year old Allie Katch, who has 9 years wrestling experience. She has wrestled primarily in GCW in recent years but also has appearances for promotions such as Impact (now TNA), RevPro, Progress as well as AEW, she has come to WPW to prove she's the baddest wrestler here.
Singles Match Adena Steele vs Ruaka 24 year old Adena Steele, known as "The Violent Vixen" has been wrestling for 5 years for various independent promotions. Like some of our other roster members, Adena has also appeared on AEW Dark in a losing effort to Skye Blue. Adena has a fun personality until the bell rings! Her opponent is 19 year old Japanese performer Ruaka, who much like compatriot Hanan also has 7 years experience despite her young age. "Rebel Monster" has also been primarily wrestling for Stardom, and has decided that now is the time to bring her talents over to the US.
Main Event for the WPW Championship Suzu Suzuki vs Charlette Renegade Our main event pits 22 year old Japanese technician Suzu Suzuki against 24 year old tag-team specialist Charlette Renegade. Charlette is without her twin sister Robyn so will be going it alone in WPW for now, and wants to get her fresh start off in the best possible manner, by winning the WPW Championship. Her opponent Suzu Suzuki is our 3rd performer coming over from Stardom, she also previously competed for Ice Ribbon. Will the "Crimson Mad Girl" take the title back home to Japan on her first night, or will the graduate from the Nightmare Factory have other ideas?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coming Up Next post will be the results of the first show and the match card for the second show.

I'm all up for EWR Backyard to Global challenges and by having an all-women federation, you give it a nice twist, which is interesting.
I only know Allie Katch (huge GCW fan), Hanan and Suzu Suzuki, I think. I'm a bit surprised that Allie isn't in the main event, but that's probably due to the database's overness ratings - something very off-putting in recent EWR databases.

Thanks just fancied a bit of an extra challenge without having to spend hours in games! Yeah you are right it's not ideal, as much as I'd love to go more real life based, I also need to get out of that backyard level and start earning more money to bring in more talent! The ratings are a little bit out of whack if I'm honest but I appreciate that we are at the smaller, independent level, not actually checked higher up but I suspect it gets more accurate the more over they are.

WPW 1 - Friday 4th October 2024The initial advertising campaign didn't work out as a grand total of 2 fans crammed into the sports hall to watch the debut show of Women's Pro Wrestling! Tonight's show will feature all 10 starting members of the WPW roster, with 5 singles bouts in total including the crowing of our first ever WPW Champion as Suzu Suzuki takes on Charlette Renegade!
Pre Show Before the official live beginning of WPW we are greeted to the show by Adena Steele. "The Violent Vixen" welcomes us to a new era and welcome to WPW before turning her attention to the rest of the roster. Adena is looking forward to competing with various wrestlers from around the world and asks them if they've got the "steele" before returning backstage.
Match 1 - Airica Demia vs Suzume The opening contest in WPW history saw "Your Hero" Airica Demia taking on "Vivid Honey Mustard" Suzume. In an entertaining bout which saw the brawling style of Demia clash with the more high-paced, technical style of Suzume, it was ultimately the former who prevailed, hitting the Palmetto Smash for the win.
Winner: Aircia Demia via pinfall Match 2 - Sasha Sparks vs Vanilla Vargas Before the match begun Vanilla Vargas grabbed a mic and was insulted that her first match in WPW, a match for her to showcase the strength of lucha libre was against a cheerleader wannabe. She then started claiming that she will run through whomever wins tonight's main event between Suzu Suzuki and Charlette Renegade. Sasha had her back turned towards the ramp, seemingly bored at Vanilla's promo which angered the luchador, who dropped the mic and attacked her opponent from behind. The match itself was one-sided, partially due to the attack from behind. Sparks managed a small comeback but it was to no prevail and Vargas won in convincing fashion with a rope hung DDT, staking her claim to be first in line for the championship.Winner: Vanilla Vargas via pinfall Match 3 - Hanan vs Allie Katch Hanan and Allie Katch put on a good match, easily the match of the night in terms of in-ring quality in a true back and forth encounter. Hanan looked to have the match won and went to drive Allie's head into the mat before the former GCW star countered into a piledriver. Picking up Hanan's lifeless body, Katch finished the match off with a devastating Rainmaker Headbutt for the win.Winner: Allie Katch via pinfall After the match Charlette Renegade stood at the entrance ramp and claimed that Suzu Suzuki was no match for her and she will gladly take up the reigns as the first ever WPW Champion. Match 4 - Adena Steele vs Ruaka Adena Steele took on Japan's Ruaka in the co-main event. In a decent match where both traded close near-falls and submissions, in the end Steele got the win with the Steele Force DDT.Winner: Adena Steele via pinfall Main Event for the WPW Championship: Suzu Suzuki vs Charlette Renegade Before the match Suzu grabbed the mic and thanked WPW for the opportunity to come to the US. She said that she would be honoured to become the first WPW Champion. As she was wrapping up her speech Charlette Renegade interrupted and walked down to the ring. In the most crowd invested match of the night, Renegade thought she had the match won following a Michinoku Driver, but the "Crimson Mad Girl" kicked out. With her senses regained soon after, it was Suzuki who would prevail, hitting a 3 German Suplex's, bridging on the third and final one to keep Charlette down to become the first ever WPW Champion!Winner and NEW WPW Champion: Suzu Suzuki via pinfall After the match Allie Katch ran down to the ring with a chair in hand and blasted Suzuki in the back before standing on top of the fallen champion with the title raised in the air. Following this brutal attack Katch has made it clear to everyone that she wants a shot at the new champion!
Quick Results and RatingsAdena Steele Interview (47%) Airica Demia def. Suzume (35%) Vanilla Vargas Interview (48%) Vanilla Vargas def. Sasha Sparks (34%) Allie Katch def. Hana (41%) Charlette Renegade Interview (45%) Adena Steele def. Ruaka (36%) Suzu Suzuki Interview (56%) WPW Championship: Suzu Suzuki def. Charlette Renegade (/w post match attack by Allie Katch) (41%) Overall Rating: 41% WPW 2 - 1st November 2024WPW's next show will take place on 1st November 2024. The below match card has been announced following the event's of our first show. The battle of Japan as Hanan takes on Suzume. Both competitors lost their opening contests in WPW so will be hoping to bounce back with a win! Airica Demia looks to go back-to-back in the start of her WPW career as she takes on Ruaka, who will be out for revenge following her defeat against Adena Steele Sasha Sparks takes on Charlette Renegade. Both are looking for their first win, but it will be Charlette with more to prove following defeat in the WPW Championship match last time out. Will she regain momentum, or will Sasha prove she can hang when given a fair fight? In the co-main event, Adena Steele battles Allie Katch for the right to be next in line for the WPW Championship. Steele was impressive in her victory over Ruaka last time out as was Katch, who was earmarked to get the first shot at whomever became WPW Champion. However management moved Allie down a step after her brutal attack on champion Suzu Suzuki at the end of the last show. Instead she will have to prove once again that she deserves a shot at the gold in this Number 1 Contenders matchup. In the main event WPW Champion Suzu Suzuki battles Vanilla Vargas with the title on the line. After defeating Sasha Sparks in convincing fashion Vargas has been given the opportunity to be first in line at the new champion. Suzuki would of seen Vargas' from behind attack last time out and will be aware. Will she also have an eye on Allie Katch who attacked her post-match at the last event after a gruelling victory over Charlette Renegade? We will also have interviews with four members of the roster, with both the main and co-main event stars out to give their thoughts ahead of their upcoming matches. Coming upNext up will be the results for the second WPW show, along with the card for the third show. I'm not the best at portraying what's in my head into writing but there's some early storylines developing! Does Allie Katch want the title or does she just want Suzu Suzuki? Today's little extra courtesy of what's on EWR is who the game thinks is the most "over". The majority of the roster were babyfaces at their previous companies so I've had to get a bit creative to balance it out, I prefer the classic face vs heel when booking personally so I always try to have it as even as possible. Babyfaces1# Suzu Suzuki 2# Adena Steele 3# Hanan 4# Airica Demia 5# Sasha Sparks Heels1# Allie Katch 2# Vanilla Vargas 3# Charlette Renegade 4# Suzume 5# Ruaka We also actually turned a profit for the month after the first show despite the attendance of 2 people, making $1,020. However will need to start making $4,000 a month profit as a minimum before I can even start adding to the roster due to the minimum costs of anyone else to the roster, hopefully as more start attending we can start to add more talent to the roster! Finally in other news, Allie Katch has stated in an interview with The Battleground that she is WPW for life!!!

WPW 2: Friday 1st November 2024It's time for the second show in WPW history! 5 more bouts featuring the performers from the US and Japan. In our main event the new and first ever WPW Champion Suzu Suzuki battles Vanilla Vargas with the title on the line. We also have a number one contenders match as Adena Steele battles Allie Katch for the right to face whomever is champion at the next event. A 500% attendance increase for this one we reckon as we can definitely count a dozen people in the hall! Pre Show - Hanan vs Suzume A popular theme here in WPW as another battle of Japan ensues as "The Young Lioness" Hanan" takes on "The Vivid Honey Mustard" Suzume to kick off the event. In a solid curtain raiser it was Hanan who emerged victorious, after wearing her opponent down with a STO. After managing to grab the ropes an exhausted Suzume was hoisted up and hit with the Hanan Special, giving the Young Lioness the victory.Winner: Hanan via pinfall The show opens with Allie Katch coming down to the ring to cut a promo. Katch cannot believe that she has had her title match removed from her and has to face Adena Steele later tonight to gain what is rightfully hers, a shot at the WPW Championship. She claims that Steele doesn't have an ounce of violence in her despite calling herself "The Violent Vixen" and tonight she will find out what it takes to be violent.Match 2 - Airica Demia vs Ruaka *Your Hero" Airica Demia looks to continue building momentum as she takes on "Rebel Monster" Ruaka, who herself is looking to pick up the win after defeat to Adena Steele last time out. The match was an all out brawl between the two, until a missed Freezer Splash by Ruaka opened the door for Demia to hit the Palmetto Smash to go 2 and 0 in WPW!
Winner: Airica Demia via pinfall After the match Demia showed sportsmanship by offering Ruaka a handshake. However after seemingly agreeing to it, Ruaka blindsided Demia with a right hand and hit her with a Fisherman's Suplex.Adena Steele then appears to respond to Allie Katch, stating that attacking the champion post match isn't the way things work around here. If you want a shot at the title she is going to have to go through "The Violent Vixen" first.Match 3 - Sasha Sparks vs Charlette Renegade Charlette Renegade is out for revenge after losing out on becoming the first WPW Champion, and unfortunately for Sasha Sparks she is in the wrong place at the wrong time. Charlette dominates her opponent, having multiple opportunities to put the match away but refusing to do so. She finally shows more remorse and finishes Sparks off, not before hitting a devastating Michinoku Driver for the win.
Winner: Charlette Renegade via pinfall. We then hear from WPW Champion Suzu Suzuki, who is ready to defend her title against anyone who stands up to her. She is ready for Vanilla Vargas, Allie Katch or anyone else who wants a shot, as she will be a fighting champion.Match 4 - Adena Steele vs Allie Katch in a Number 1 Contenders match for the WPW Championship The talking was over and it was time to go as Adena Steele clashed with Allie Katch for the right to face the WPW Champion, currently Suzu Suzuki at the next WPW event. The fans in attendance were up for this one as the two went at each other for the duration of the bout. Steele thought she had the match won after hitting the Steele Force DDT, however she was too close to the ropes, allowing Katch to barely stick a foot up and break the referee's count. Steele got up in dismay and looked to drag Katch into the centre of the ring to hit another DDT, but Katch broke out of it and poked Steele in the eye before hitting a Piledriver and the Rainmaker Headbutt for the victory. Allie Katch is officially the new number 1 contender and will face the WPW Champion next time!Winner: Allie Katch via pinfall Vanilla Vargas made her way down to the ring in preparation for her championship match against Suzu Suzuki. She grabbed a mic and said that the Japanese strong style had nothing on lucha libre and the sooner we all realise, the sooner you can accept bowing down to her as the new WPW Champion.Main Event - Suzu Suzuki (C) vs Vanilla Vargas for the WPW Championship It was time for the main event and Suzu Suzuki's first defense as WPW Champion, as she took on Vanilla Vargas. The match was back and forth with both wrestlers giving it everything. The crowd was into this one due to the display from Suzuki and Vargas, with the classic Japanese Joshi style clashing with Lucha Libre. In the closing moments after both kicking out on each other's finishing move once, Vargas planted Suzuki with a DDT and went to hit the Vanilla Split (split-legged Moonsault) again, however the champion rolled out of the way, hit a Double Knee Stomp, emptying the tank of her opponent before connecting with a second German Suplex Hold for the win.
Winner and STILL WPW Champion: Suzu Suzuki via pinfall. After the match Allie Katch ran down to the ring and attempted a second blindside attack on the champion, however Suzuki was ready for it and sent a charging Katch tumbling over the top rope before the raising the title in the air, facing her adversary. These two are going to meet at the next WPW with the title on the line!
Quick Results & RatingsHanan def. Suzume (39%) Allie Katch Interview (53%) Airica Demia def. Ruaka (37%) Adena Steele Interview (49%) Charlette Renegade def. Sasha Sparks (31%) Suzu Suzuki Interview (65%) Number 1 Contenders Match: Allie Katch def. Adena Steele (46%) Vanilla Vargas Interview (41%) WPW Championship Match: Suzu Suzuki (C) def. Vanilla Vargas (50%) Overall Rating: 46% WPW 3 - 6th December 2024In the last event before the holidays and new year festivities, the hostilities between WPW Champion Suzu Suzuki and Allie Katch will come to head as the two face off against one another with the WPW Title on the line. In the co-main event Adena Steele and Vanilla Vargas will meet, with both looking to bounce back after defeats at WPW 2. Airica Demia will look to go 3 and 0 in WPW as she steps up in competition to face Charlette Renegade. In the show opener Sasha Sparks takes on Suzume with both wrestlers looking for their first win in WPW, before Hanan takes on Ruaka.
Coming up/OOCWPW 3 is next. We went from 2 fans to 12 fans which is nice, an extra $100 in the kitty, and the show quality increased from 41% to 46%. We are slowly gaining image as we look to emerge from the first step of "backyard". From next post after WPW 3 I will add in some wrestler spotlights as well to start giving a bit more backstory to the roster members. At least I won't need to make that up as they are all real wrestlers!

I definitely didn't expect you to make Allie Katch a heel, since I'm so used to see her as a babyface in GCW. I'm interested to see where you're heading and it would be fun to see some more known names soon, if EWR lets you, of course.
Suzu vs. Allie is probably going to be your biggest match yet, but I assume Suzu may retain.

Suzu vs. Allie is probably going to be your biggest match yet, but I assume Suzu may retain. I know the problem I had was pretty much anyone and everyone I could afford was a babyface by trade so I had to get a bit creative. The GCW background kind of gave me the idea for her to play a heel in the sense of she would beat someone up and not show remorse. Some of the others are a bit too "happy-go-lucky" for a heel turn. Suzume was another babyfaced I turned due to her gimmick being bee related, just kind of thought that could be used for evil. Vanilla was the last I turned heel, at this stage with my limited knowledge on some of this roster it went down to she looked more mean/serious in photos! It may be a fair few shows before I can start bringing in more talent, when I've done this in the past there I could fill the roster with $1k/$2k talent, pulling the curtain back Airica Demia is the only $1k female talent in the game, everyone else is $3k minimum!

WPW 3 - 6th December 2024We are live for WPW 3! A raucous 11 fans crammed into the school gym as tonight Suzu Suzuki defends her WPW Championship against Number 1 Contender Allie Katch. Katch has tried to attack Suzuki after her title bouts twice in a row now, and after WPW 2's unsuccessful attempt she will have the opportunity to prove she's the best in WPW one-on-one with the champion. Adena Steele looks to bounce back after losing to Katch last time out, this time she goes one-on-one with Vanilla Vargas. Airica Demia tries to remain undefeated in WPW as she takes on former title challenger Charlette Renegade, as well as more action featuring talent from the US and Japan!Match 1 - Sasha Sparks vs Suzume The opening contest saw Sasha Sparks try to cheerlead her way through the evil beekeeper Suzume. In all honesty this wasn't the most technical match ever seen but both competitors tried hard. Suzume got the win in the end after Sparks had set her opponent up in the corner and looked for the Final Routine. Suzume dodged and Sparks went head first into the turnbuckle, allowing Suzume to ascend to the top and hit her Diving Crossbody on a dazed Sparks for the win.Winner: Suzume via pinfall. We hear from the WPW Champion Suzu Suzuki as she addresses the crowd. She is well aware of the danger of Allie Katch and can see she is trying to make things personal, and that tonight Katch will see what happens when they meet face-to-face instead of her back turned.Match 2 - Hanan vs Ruaka Hanan squared off against Ruaka next in a match which proved to be the match of the night. Both went at each other from the first bell to the last, completely exhausting themselves in a fast-paced, explosive match. It was Hanan in the end who emerged victorious with a rollup after Ruaka had winded herself after a missed Freezer Bomb.
Winner: Hanan via pinfall. After the match whilst Hanan was trying to celebrate but was attacked from behind by the defeated Ruaka, who clearly doesn't take too kindly to losing, showing frustrations at being 0 and 3 so far in WPW.We then hear from Airica Demia who is relishing the opportunity to take a step up in competition against Charlette Renegade. She says that in this tale, Charlette is playing the role of the villain and Airica your hero, and reminds us all that generally at the end of a story your hero prevails.
Match 3 - Airica Demia vs Charlette Renegade Demia looked to stay undefeated and go 3 and 0 against Charlette Renegade, who looks to continue her momentum back into title contention after demolishing Sasha Sparks last time out. Renegade, clearly annoyed at her opponents pre-match words brawled with Demia for the majority of the match. In the end Demia went for the Palmetto Smash but Renegade countered, and after a vicious right hand punch delivered a stalling Michinoku Driver to take the victory. Renegade stood over the fallen hero at the end of the match, basking in her victory.Winner: Charlette Renegade via pinfall Vanilla Vargas then made her way out to the ring, unhappy with the events that took place at the last WPW event. She claims she had the match won and should be standing here as the WPW Champion but instead has to face some "upstart" in Adena Steele. She tells her to come on down and let's get it on, and that Steele will be a stepping stone to Vargas getting another shot at the title.
Match 4 - Adena Steele vs Vanilla Vargas Adena Steele wasted no time in this one running down to the ring to start the match, looking to prove to Vanilla Vargas that she is no stepping stone. After a bit of time brawling with Steele on top, Vargas gained control of the match, using her lucha libre background to her advantage. She then slowed the pace down, attempting to wear Steele down with submission holds. Steele managed to fight back, and for a moment both women were down after a huge spear to Vargas. Steele looked for the Steele Force DDT, but Vargas countered with her own DDT. After a close near-fall. Vargas dragged Steele towards the corner and looked for the Vanilla Split, but Steele managed to roll out of the way. A winded Vargas managed to get back up but was met with more punishment to her ribs with a vicious boot, which allowed Steele to hit the Steele Force DDT and get the win.
Winner: Adena Steele via pinfall It was then time for our main event for the WPW Championship. Allie Katch made her way down to the ring looking incredibly confident. She's glad that she's in Suzu Suzuki's head as that is exactly what she wanted, and that after tonight we will all be able to call her, Allie Katch as the new WPW Champion. She beings to start calling out the champion, telling her that it's time to hand over the title and run back to Japan, but before she can say anymore the champion appears at the entrance way and it was time for the title match.Main Event for the WPW Championship - Suzu Suzuki (C) vs Allie Katch It was time for the talking to stop as the biggest match in WPW's short history was underway. Suzu Suzuki clearly had enough of being attacked by Allie Katch and started off the match aggressively and quickly, not giving the challenger any room to breathe and recover. A couple of quick pinfalls occurred but Katch kicked out. Katch managed to wrestle some control of the situation after a drop toe hold on a charging champion saw Suzuki crash into the bottom turnbuckle pad. Katch then started raining down right hands on the champion. She dragged Suzuki into the corner and hit a big Corner Hip Attack and followed this up with a running Senton, but it wasn't enough to keep the champion down. Katch continued to control the match, mixing up offense such as raking Suzuki's back, and sending her crashing down to the mat with a bicycle kick, but Suzuki refused to give in. A now rather frustrated Katch decided that enough was enough and went for a Rainmaker Headbutt, but Suzuki managed to block this and a hit an enziguri, leaving both competitors down on the mat. Both struggled up to their feet by the count of 8, and the champion started coming back into the match, hitting multiple clotheslines on the challenger. She then tripped Katch up and delivered a huge soccer kick to her opponent, seemingly knocking Katch out. Suzuki climbed to the top and hit a top rope double foot stomp for a near fall. Suzuki picked Katch up and went for her Bridging German Suplex finisher, but Katch countered into the Rainmaker Headbutt. She crawled over to cover the champion, but somehow Suzuki got her shoulder up at the last second! A distraught Katch then went to ringside and grabbed a chair, the weapon she used on Suzuki at WPW 1. As she lifted the chair up to strike the champion the referee grabbed it from behind and began telling Katch off. This distraction allowed Suzuki to hit her Bridging German Suplex finisher. However there was a delay before the referee started making the count due to discarding the chair Katch had brought in. This gave Katch enough time when the referee eventually started counting to kick out at 2.99. At this point both competitors were virtually out on the feet as Suzuki picked up Katch and attempted a second Bridging German Suplex, but Katch managed to stay grounded and got towards the ropes. She managed to reverse this into a roll-up, but grabbed hold of Suzuki's tights and got both feet up on the ropes. The referee saw neither of these infractions and counted one, two, three. Allie Katch is our new WPW Champion!Winner and NEW WPW Champion: Allie Katch via pinfall After the match Katch began celebrating with the WPW Championship. Her victory parade was short-lived however as an incensed Suzuki attacked the new champion. The pair began to brawl, spilling out of the ring and up the walkway. They continued to the brawl past the curtain and into the backstage area as the show closed.

Suzu Suzuki (C) (51%) Overall: 47% Post Show/Pre WPW 4There was plenty of happenings following the aftermath of WPW 3. Suzu Suzuki was cheated out of the WPW Championship and wanted an immediate rematch with Allie Katch, which was denied by WPW Management. Instead she will team up with Hanan to take on Allie Katch and Charlette Renegade at WPW 4. If Suzuki gets the win she will get her rematch at WPW 5. Allie Katch then announced on social media that the tag match wasn't happening, claiming she was going to be a fighting champion and used her champions privilege to instead give Adena Steele first shot at the WPW Championship, as she would give a far stiffer test than Suzuki. Shortly after the announcement it was then leaked on social media that rising star Adena Steele had been checked into rehab, throwing the title match and whole card into chaos. This was all happening over the holidays and with WPW 4 happening on the 3rd January, however just days before WPW 4 it was officially announced that Steele had indeed been checked into rehab and was unavailable for the next event. WPW Management were now scrambling to find a replacement to face Allie Katch, who seemingly was quite happy to put her feet up and take the night off! In between Christmas and New Year it was announced that a new roster member had joined WPW, and would take Adena Steele's place in the WPW Championship match against Allie Katch. Please welcome the newest member of the WPW Roster, Hina! Hina is another wrestler from Japan, competing for Stardom. She is the younger sister of current WPW Star Hanan, which is part of the reason how WPW Management managed to get Hina to agree to join us on short notice. Hina celebrated her 18th birthday on December 28th, and the somehow 7 year pro is looking to extend her 18th birthday celebrations by defeating Allie Katch and becoming the WPW Champion on her first night with the company! Allie Katch was furious about having to face a newcomer for her first title defense. In this series we showcase some of the perhaps lesser known talent, and give you a background into their careers up until this point. In today's episode it's Vanilla Vargas. Debut: 2014 Vargas made her professional wrestling debut under the name of "Lady Boricua". Wrestling in the independents, she first wrestled under "Vanilla Vargas" in WWC (World Wrestling Council) in July 2015. She made her first appearance for a bigger company when she wrestled in a 6-Woman Best two out of three falls match for CMLL in July 2016, back under her Lady Boricua name. She won her first title in June 2017, defeating Miss Hannah to win the vacant CKCW (Cleveland Knights Championship Wrestling) Women's Title, never actually losing the title. She followed this up with a 215 day reign as the CCW (Coastal Championship Wrestling) Ladies Champion. Her big break came in July 2018 as she debuted for AAA. She had various shots at the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship, teaming unsuccessfully with El Hijo del Vikingo, Joe Lider and the Australian Suicide. She also challenged unsuccessfully on multiple occasions for the AAA Reina de Reinas Title. She ultimately wrestled her last match for AAA in April 2020, losing to Big Mami before the COVID-19 Pandemic. She took this time to have a child, not returning to the wrestling ring until September 2021, winning the CWA (Champion Wrestling Association) Women's Title. Since then she has remained in Puerto Rico, competing back in WWC as well as IWA Puerto Rico, only recently returning in July 2024 to compete in Mexico once again.
Coming Up/OOC
WPW 4 will be next. It genuinely came up in my game that Adena Steele had indeed been checking into rehab so was unavailable for WPW 4. I have managed to get a replacement, who was actually $1k cheaper than Steele which was handy, as the rest were in the $4k/$5k range which I wasn't comfortable spending at this early stage. The newest member of the WPW is Hina, who is the younger sister of Hanan. She also has a twin sister Rina who is in Stardom, so maybe down the line the three sisters will all be together with us in WPW. Obviously the main feud at the moment is between Suzuki and Katch, which I've got planned to go on for a little while. There will be side characters in the main feud as the shows go on, I'm not keen on having too many more feuds at this point otherwise it will be the same card week in, week out. Once we start increasing in roster size I'll be able to start incorporating more storylines. There are individual storylines of course, such as Ruaka attacking/attempting to attack anyone she faces post match win or lose, to be that crazy, out of control character. I know we are only 3 events in but below are the top 3 matches so far, first in terms of match quality and second based off of crowd reaction. Top 3 Matches in terms of Match Quality in WPW History1# Hanan vs Ruaka - WPW 3 (67%) 2# Suzu Suzuki vs Vanilla Vargas - WPW Championship Match - WPW 2 (64%) 3# Suzu Suzuki vs Allie Katch - WPW Championship Match - WPW 3 (60%) Top 3 Matches in terms of Crowd Reaction in WPW History1# Suzu Suzuki vs Allie Katch - WPW Championship Match - WPW 3 (43%) 2# Suzu Suzuki vs Vanilla Vargas - WPW Championship Match - WPW 2 (37%) 3# Adena Steele vs Allie Katch - WPW 2 (35%)

I'm buying Allie as a heel now that the pic you chose reflects her current more serious gimmick, tbh. I didn't think you would put the title on her straight away, as Suzy's reign was really short, but I'm interested in seeing where this goes. Hina is a pretty good addition to the roster and she's ALREADY in the title picture!... mostly thanks to Adena Steele. Rehab incidents are quite common in EWR, making it more unpredictable.
I'm a fan of the Wrestler Spotlight. I've honestly never heard of Vanilla Vargas, but she was in AAA, so she must be something, and she had one of the best matches in your diary so far.
You seem to be growing, which is great!

You seem to be growing, which is great! I'll be honest, Allie's overness rating went through the roof compared to everyone else, I was planning on giving Suzuki a longer reign as to begin with she was the most over but I couldn't not factor Allie into it. Not that it should be everything I focus on but I feel whilst trying to grow I need to! I didn't want to mess around the rest of the card which is why she's gone in as a straight replacement, with such a small roster I'm trying to avoid repeat matches, which of course is impossible now but at least have them a few events away from one another. Yeah I thought it was a good idea, these are real wrestlers at the end of the day and actually even for me it's a good way to learn and understand what I'm dealing with! Thanks yes we are growing, I've played a bit into the future to help with planning and am happy to say I've got some new roster members, most of which should be known so excited to get them introduced into the mix.
