OOC: This post and the next post will incorporate two events in one. This one is WPW 4 & 5. I appreciate with a roster size of 10/11 I'm at the stage of repeat booking already so the next two post will be a bit more summarized, with main points branched out.
WPW 4 - Friday 3rd January 2025 (Ratings in brackets)
It was a new year and would we see a new WPW Champion as Allie Katch defends her newly won crown against a debuting Hina. Katch was meant to defend the title against Adena Steele who unfortunately will be unavailable for the next couple of WPW events. Hina comes in as Steele's replacement and is the younger sister of WPW star Hanan.
Match 1 - Sasha Sparks vs Ruaka
The first match saw Ruaka steamroll through her opponent, wrestling to the limit in terms of rule breaking. There were probably opportunities for the referee to disqualify Ruaka but chose not to. In the end Ruaka got the win with the Freezer Bomb.
Winner: Ruaka via pinfall (29%)
Airica Demia cut a promo on Vanilla Vargas before their match, questioning why she always looks so serious and that she looks like she needs a hero. Vargas attacked Demia mid-promo before their match gets underway. (52%)
Match 2 - Airica Demia vs Vanilla Vargas
Vargas had control the majority of the match following the pre-match attack. Whilst Demia attempted on numerous occasions to mount a comeback, in the end she was far too damaged to overturn the match. Vargas got the pinfall following the Vanilla Split.
Winner: Vanilla Vargas via pinfall (37%)
Suzu Suzuki then came down to the ring before her match with Suzume, and conceded that Allie Katch defeated her at WPW 3 for the WPW Championship. However she did so by cheating, and if Katch wants to prove she is a worthy champion she should do things the honourable way. Suzuki finished by saying she is going to get her rematch soon, and she will become a two time WPW Champion. (71%)
Match 3 - Suzu Suzuki vs Suzume
The former champion wasted no time in asserting her dominance over Suzume, who despite some underhanded tactics was no match for Suzuki. Suzuki hit the Bridging German Suplex for the relatively quick win, making a statement towards Allie Katch.
Winner: Suzu Suzuki via pinfall (37%)
Hanan makes her way to the ring and is really excited to watch her sister Hina take on Allie Katch later for the WPW Championship. However as happy as she is for Hina, she too wants a shot at the champion. (54%)
Match 4 - Hanan vs Charlette Renegade
In the match of the night, Hanan and Charlette Renegade battled. Charlette tried to hit a Michinoku Driver for the win, but was smartly reversed by Hanan, who hit the Hanan Special for the win.
Winner: Hanan via pinfall (43%)
Allie Katch cut a promo whilst her challenger was waiting in the ring. Katch welcomes Hina to WPW, and whilst she's not sure what Hanan has told her about things around here, one thing is for certain and that's she is the WPW Champion, and little brats like Hina have got no business stepping into the ring with her. She claims she is going to run through Hina as no one is on her level. (55%)
Main Event for the WPW Championship - Hina vs Allie Katch (C)
Hina put on a great first showing in WPW but ultimately she was no match for the defending champion. Katch was in control for the majority of the match but Hina showed resolve to stay in it, and was close to winning after a Facebuster, but in the end Katch got the win after the Rainmaker Headbutt.
Winner and STILL WPW Champion: Allie Katch via pinfall. (38%)
After the match Suzu Suzuki ran down to the ring and attacked the champion with a chair, blasting her in the back with it. Suzuki shouted something at the downed champion in Japanese before raising the title in the air and placing it over Katch's back before the show ended.
Overall Rating: 47%
Attendance: 16
Wrestler Spotlight - Airica Demia
In this episode of Wrestler Spotlight we showcase "Your Hero" Airica Demia. Airica debuted in early 2023 so is relatively new to the business. Trained by the Palmetto Wrestling Academy and Ethan Case, who has a resume such as teaming with Jushin "Thunder" Liger and having matches against the likes of Adam Page and the Young Bucks, Demia started out with her schools promotion the PCW (Palmetto Championship Wrestling), before wrestling for TURBO, both South Carolina promotions. Despite being less than 2 years into her career Demia has wrestled in some larger independents, making for CZW debut in August 2023 in defeat to Zayda Steel. She has made further appearances in the promotion. She also has a ROH appearance, taking on Nyla Rose in a losing effort at HonorClub #54 in March 2024. Some more recent matches Demia has had includes taking on Masha Slamovich in May and making her SHINE debut the following week in victory against Devlyn Macabre. At just 19 years old Demia has a lot of room to grow in wrestling.
In between Shows
The card for WPW 5 was announced, with the main talking point being that Suzu Suzuki will have to wait a little while longer to get her rematch against Allie Katch. Instead it will be Hanan who will face the champion, looking to avenge her sisters' loss at WPW 4. Suzuki will instead have to contend with Ruaka with management stating that Suzuki can't run around attacking the champion from behind, whilst having every reason to do so and being fully in retaliation. The first ever tag team match in WPW history will also take place as Airica Demia teams with Hina to take on Charlette Renegade and Suzume. Finally Vanilla Vargas is riding a wave at the moment and will face Sasha Sparks.
WPW 5 - Friday 7th February 2025
In the main event Allie Katch defends the WPW Championship once again, this time against Hanan. Hanan has been on a roll as of late and hasn't been defeated since losing to Katch back at WPW 1. Suzu Suzuki who is desperate for her rematch at Katch will have to wait in line a little longer and instead will go one-on-one with "The Rebel Monster" Ruaka.
We begin with a brief word from Suzume who is ready to take the sting out of Airica Demia and Hina later. She doesn't play well with others and advises Charlette Renegade to not get in her way. (50%)
Match 1 - Sasha Sparks vs Vanilla Vargas
Vanilla Vargas was ready to build on her momentum following victory over Airica Demia at WPW 4, and done so in convincing fashion, dispatching the always game Sasha Sparks with ease, pinning her following the Vanilla Split.
Winner: Vanilla Vargas via pinfall.
We then hear from Hina who says she gave it her all at WPW 4 but in the end came up short. She is ready to get back to work however and is looking forward to teaming with Airica Demia later on tonight. (39%)
Ruaka then heads down to the ring before her match with Suzu Suzuki and calls out the former champion, as she doesn't get disrespected by anyone here. Suzuki needs to stop overlooking others in her quest to face off with Allie Katch again and should instead turn her attention in this direction. (41%)
Match 3 - Suzu Suzuki vs Ruaka
Suzu Suzuki managed to gain the victory over Ruaka in a close match. Ruaka tried to use a weapon in the closing stages but was halted by the referee, opening the door for Suzuki to hit the Bridging German Suplex for the win. Following the match Allie Katch stormed the ring and blasted Suzuki over the head with her WPW Championship.
Winner: Suzu Suzuki via pinfall (48%)
We hear from Charlette Renegade who frankly doesn't really care what Suzume or anyone else thinks. She's not thrilled about being in a tag match and doesn't need Suzume's help in taking out Airica Demia and Hina. (56%)
Match 4 - Airica Demia & Hina vs Charlette Renegade & Suzume
In a somewhat clunky match with a real mesh of culture and styles, it was the team of Airica Demia and Hina who got the win after mis-communication between Charlette Renegade and Suzume allow Hina to hit the Over the Shoulder Facebuster on Suzume for the pin.
Winners: Airica Demia & Hina via pinfall (36%)
Hanan then made her way down to the ring before the main event. She is going to avenge Hina's defeat to Allie Katch last week and become the new WPW Champion. (50%)
Main Event for the WPW Championship - Hanan vs Allie Katch (C)
In the main event Hanan and Allie Katch went back for forth with the WPW Championship on the line. Hanan almost had the match one, locking in the STO on the champion, but Katch broke free by biting Hanan's hand, with the referee unable to see the infraction. Katch then hit a piledriver on Hanan before finishing her off with the Rainmaker Headbutt to retain the title.
Winner and STILL WPW Champion: Allie Katch via pinfall (51%)
After the match Suzu Suzuki appeared yet again to attack the champion and the two brawled to the back. It was then revealed at the end of the show that something had to give between these two, and at WPW 6 Suzu Suzuki will get her rematch against Allie Katch in a Submission match for the WPW Championship.
