Bedford County Wrestling - A "Face To The Mat" game

On October 5th 2024, Bedford County Wrestling held their first show at the James Family Cabin in Saxton, Pa. The outdoor show was a successful one, where we crowned our first BCW Heavyweight Champion, and also had an early candidate for match of the year. The results are as follows:


John Kentt vs. The Mortician: Kent and The Mortician were the perfect two to open the first show of the company with. It was a classic match where The Mortician took an early advantage, and the popular Kentt had to fight his way back into things. The Mortician was bigger, but Kentt used his speed and agility advantage to make his comeback, and was able to score the win with his own double chokeslam. After the match, Commissioner Elizabeth Joy was seen at the entrance shaking her head in disappointment for some reason at Kentt. Kentt saw this and jawed back at her.

Black Noise and Country Conrad vs. Unapologetic and Ruslan: THIS WAS THE MATCH OF THE NIGHT! The two musicians-turned-wrestlers had a fantastic brawl with the Russian and the giant! The match was full of great brawling, and some exceptional tag team moves from Noise and Conrad. In the end though, it was Noise and Conrad who were able to score the win with a simple rollup. However, after the match, Commissioner Elizabeth Joy again came out. She got on the mic, and for some reason, because she was more impressed with Unapologetic and Ruslan, reversed the decision, and gave the match to them.

The Biz vs. The Missing Piece: Before the match, The Biz cut a promo on Gunn Gardner, ally of Piece. The Biz then went on to dominate the entire match, eventually ending Piece with his "Midas Touch" finishing move. After the match, The Biz worked the crowd up as only he can do. Not the most exciting match, but certainly established The Biz as one to watch.

The Roc vs. King Ned: Even though he is a clear ripoff, The Roc still manages to cut a great promo pre-match ("if you smell what The Roc is baking!"). Unfortunately, what started as a good match, ended pre-maturely. Ned threw Roc outside the ring, where he accidentally hit his head on the announcer's desk, knocking him loopy. He was not able to answer the ref's 10 count, so King Ned was declared the winner. Afterwards, Ned taunted The Roc, which was answered by I Am THAT Guy. THAT Guy jawed back at Ned on the mic before leaving the aisle.

Diego Despiadado and Dolf Signall vs. Ricky Romance and Super Stinger: What is it with the tag matches tonight?! Once again the tag match was awesome! Diego and Dolf had a great entrance, which Ricky and Stinger were not happy with. The crowd ate it all up. The match was a back and forth affair, with both sides hitting some big moves only to get the two count. The finish of the match saw Bray Watts run to the ring and distract Ricky Romance, allowing Diego to pick up the victory. After the match, Watts overheard one of the announcers criticizing his interference in what was a very good match. Watts was seen yelling back at the announcer.

BCW Heavyweight Title Match, Scrapyard Mongrel vs. William Royal: It all came down to this. The Mongrel and the Englishman for the BCW Championship! Mongrel pre-match talked some trash on Royal, and Royal had an elaborate entrance complete with minions carrying him to the ring on a throne. The match was an instant classic, with both competitors giving it their all. At the end, the ref was accidentally knocked unconscious, and could not continue. At this point, Saxton PA Mayor Larry Foore jumped the guardrail from his front-row seat, and took off his suit jacket revealing a referee's shirt. Royal protested, but was caught with a superkick. One moonsault and pinfall later, Scrapyard Mongrel was crowned BCW's first Heavyweight Champion!


Scrapyard Mongrel was crowned champion. Rivalries may have been started. We also still haven't seen the in-ring debuts of Bray Watts, I Am THAT Guy, Gunn Grabner, and Beulah Roy. Tune in next time for the next BCW event on October 19th at Zimmerman's in Everett, Pa.
