The context:
The explanations:
In the spring of 1994, rumours were afloat that Hulk Hogan was in negotiations with WCW. These negotiations, for one reason or the other, fell through right as everyone believed Hogan was about to sign on the dotted line. As a result, WCW had to look elsewhere for their big marquee signing and Hogan had to think outside the box to relaunch his career in wrestling. Now, one year later, the ripples in the water are beginning to show...
Start date: September 1995
The story so far:
ECW
Tension between Hulk Hogan and head booker Paul Heyman soon erupted into wild strife, as disagreements about the direction of the company kept growing at a rapid haste. In October 1994, after only a few months working together, Heyman decided to quit as booker. His replacement was - to much of a surprise in the industry - Kevin Sullivan, who must have impressed Hogan with his thoughts and ideas for the future of ECW. Soon after being appointed, Sullivan began laying the foundation for what is now the biggest storyline in the company: Hogan vs. The Dungeon of Doom, an evil alliance of all sorts of fiends and monsters, who are hellbound on destroying Hulkamania for good...
In the year that passed, ECW has seen rapid growth - but is still trailing both WCW and WWF. With 2 TV shows on Fox and 12 yearly PPVs set up, however, that may be changing sooner rather than later...
WCW
Ever since The Warrior joined WCW, a fierce on/off rivalry with Ric Flair has been the centerpiece of the promotion. With the latter re-forming The Four Horsemen into what is perhaps its' strongest lineup ever, The Warrior has been gathering allies of his own - and the two sides are now poised to see battle in a WarGames match at Fall Brawl. Whoever comes out victorious, the battle for dominance of WCW will likely be changed forever...
In an attempt to overtake WWF while at the same time keeping a distance to ambitious ECW, Eric Bischoff managed to convince Ted Turner to let him air a brand new TV-show, Monday Nitro, going head-to-head with WWF every monday. Unprecedented in the world of wrestling, this move has the potential to change the wrestling landscape drastically...
WWF
With key players such as Bret Hart and Diesel out due to injury, McMahon turned to pushing a mix of veterans and new faces to the top of the promotion. As McMahon's chosen began coming back from injuries however, some of the veterans and new faces were let go or pushed back down the card - and one might wonder if these events managed to change the long term plans for the company at all. Now, pressured by first and foremost WCW's new flagship TV show, McMahon might have to pull a rabbit out of his hat to assert his dominance...
The hottest feud in WWF right now is Jake Roberts vs. Diesel, where the former does not shy away from any tactic in his quest to conquer the latter's WWF World Heavyweight Championship...
SCW
Disillusioned by Hogan's vision for ECW, Paul Heyman re-connected with former ECW owner, Tod Gordon, who he talked into buying another vessel for his own hardcore visions: Steel City Wrestling, a fellow Pensylvania promotion. Attracting many of Heyman's key performers from ECW, most of them having been discarded by Hogan and Sullivan, SCW has seen rapid rise and is enjoying a cult status in the wrestling community on the East Coast as one of the hottest commodities in American wrestling.
The biggest thing going in SCW must be their innovative stables, Raven's Nest and The Dudley Family, who have the potential to take SCW to the next level...

The explanations:
This beginning of the story comes from the mod created by Hive "Hulkmania Extreme Edition" which begins in September 1995. From this base, I decided to take an even more advanced path and make ECW, the world number 1 in wrestling. I play on TEW 2016 because it remains the game that I appreciate the most of the series and that I have my habits on it. In short, welcome to ECW: new destiny. Happy reading !
