What if WCW did end up buying the Ultimate Fighting Championship, instead of Turner Broadcasting nixing the idea?
What if WCW and Pride Fighting Championships started a working agreement in 1998 resulting in Pride's PPVs being aired on one of Turner's PPV providers?
This would be an highly interesting scenario to fantasy book.

Was that ever rumored? It actually seems nice, they had some guys that could do crossover matches.

Was that ever rumored? It actually seems nice, they had some guys that could do crossover matches. I hadn't heard about this specific one until i read Guy Evans Nitro book. The crossover rumour that I've previously have heard is the one about WCW <> K-1. Meltzer have written about it, and Eric Bischoff have talked about this working agreement and joint show on the 83 Weeks podcast. But this is earlier in the timeline than the Pride FC/UFC negotiations.
The 2001 one is also confirmed since WCW had written deals with four crossover workers.

I've always wanted to see the planned "Knockout Club" storyline.
