The Bret and Stephanie relationship came as the result of a prediction contest prize So you're saying that in each of our games, a prediction prize determined that our owner characters would get into bed - one figuratively, and one literally - with one of the McMahon children

Loved the Clash show! A bit sad to see Knoble and RVD go but Regal and Jericho are fun additions as well as Stratus, Lita and Jacqueline on the women’s side of things. I was definitely not expecting to see Punk pull off the win here but I’m glad it happened the main event scene needed a shake up. It’s a shame Austin isn’t around to feud with him.
As for Jeff that is a big bummer and that really derails a lot of stuff with Matt but I’m looking forward to seeing how you adapt to it. Bret and Steph is a fun twist too and I can’t wait to see Vince’s reaction to it.

April 2004, Week 4April 19th, 2004Worldwide taping: Great Sasuke defeated Antonio Banks, The American Outlaws defeated Vordell Walker and Human Tornado, and Konnan defeated Mike Maverick. Attendance: 18,545Show Notes: -Kid Romeo organized a poker tournament before the show.
-Bryan Danielson was especially pleasant to be around during the show, both because he signed a fat new contract and because he was told we were bringing in his mentor Steven Regal.
-Chavo Guerrero Jr. was protected in the three way match, with Elix Skipper taking the fall.
-Some of the faces who came out to tell Corino not to get ahead of himself were Rey Mysterio Jr, Konnan, Lance Storm and the Shooting Stars, all of whom will be in the Mayhem match themselves.
-We tested out Bobby Roode and Paul Heyman on the pre-show, but they didn’t make for a good mix, so Bobby’s chances of joining the Dangerous Alliance are dashed.
-Samoa Joe debuted as the brute enforcer of the Dangerous Alliance in the main event, and the gimmick got a great initial response as he beat the hell out of RVD and dropped him with his Muscle Buster.
-Tammy Sytch could probably use a different twist to her character. April 24th, 2004Show Notes: -Aja Kong hurt her bicep in the main event, but it won’t keep her out for any time. Devil Masami also had an off night.
“I like Allison Corino; I think she’ll only get better with time.” –Nattie Neidhart Upcoming WCW PPV Event(s):News Updates:Scott Steiner, Mark Jindrak, Fit Finlay, Elix Skipper, Ernest Miller and Kid Romeo are all gone after I chose not to renew their contracts. Scott left because he was making demands that I had no interest in giving to a 40 year old in rehab, and the others had simply run their course in WCW in my opinion. Jamie Knoble’s contract officially ran out, and he’ll report to New Japan. We own the copyright on the name Jamie Knoble, so apparently he’ll be wrestling under his real name, James Gibson. Shannon Moore agreed to a one year extension. He was another that was down to the wire and very nearly wasn’t re-signed, but I decided to keep him around. Tracy Brooks signed a one year extension to continue working as the color commentator alongside Joey Styles on Renaissance. Bull Nakano (the CEO and head booker of 5SSW, our women’s developmental territory) is going on maternity leave. Elsewhere in the wrestling world:George the Animal Steele passed away at the age of 66. Shame; he was a nice guy. NWA-TNA held their latest show, Lockdown. No world title match this month, as Marc Mero teamed with Nicho (the former Psychosis) to beat Matt Sydal and Eddie Colon in a 62 rated main event tag match which was the best of the night. The show got a 59 overall. Tiger Chung Lee retired after a 35 year career, and also announced he’d be opening his own wrestling school. National Battle Report: May 2004The Bret and Stephanie relationship came as the result of a prediction contest prize So you're saying that in each of our games, a prediction prize determined that our owner characters would get into bed - one figuratively, and one literally - with one of the McMahon children I think Bret's reward was far better than Eric's. Jericho's a good tradeoff for RVD IMO. I love Knoble but he was lost in the shuffle a bit, so hopefully he can be productive in New Japan like Candido has been in NOAH.

Noooooooooooooo! No more Scott Steiner is a sad day. Though I understand why. Also kinda bummed to see Jindrak go, but that's just because he's one of my "boys". Like you'd said in the past, he really didn't fit in well in Bret's WCW. This will just make me push him harder in mine!
And damn we need to get off the same wavelengths on a lot of things... I'm not gonna say any more but you tend to seem about a week or two ahead of me sometimes on booking "similar" things. Even if in-game, you're doing it three years later than I am.

Great update. I'm very happy to see Samoa Joe debut with Heyman's Alliance, he'll fit in perfectly. Plus, we're looking at young Nak vs young Joe eventually - that'll be great.
I missed it the first time, but I'll be sad to see Knoble go. Really underrated guy in the early 2000s. I'm surprised to see Finlay get the door too, I would have figured that he had a Road Agent spot reserved for him.
Also - you need to get your hands on The Rock. Are WCW's numbers going to dip with Enigma in rehab?

May 2004, Week 1May 3rd, 2004Show Notes: -Shane Helms showed off a new video game to some of his friends backstage. Something Fantasy XI? I don’t know.
-A few of the names involved in the big ‘debate’ about the Mayhem match at the close of the show included Eddie Guerrero, Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio Jr, King Corino, Shane Helms and the Jung Dragons. May 8th, 2004Show Notes: -Caorl Midori was completely blown up by the end of a match that didn’t even hit seven and a half minutes. Upcoming WCW PPV Event(s):News Updates:King Corino signed a 3 year contract extension. He got a nice little raise but there was no interest from WWE or anyone else, so he’s just barely into the top ten on our roster in terms of payroll. Brian Kendrick also signed for three more years. He’s a key young piece for us moving forward, and I’m happy to have him locked up. Sean O’Haire hasn’t been quite as diligent about getting his workouts in lately, and is starting to look a little flabbier as a result. Christopher Daniels has been hitting the weights harder and packing on some muscle. Akira Hokuto is taking her role as champion seriously. She’s been working hard in the gym and it shows; she’s looking more ripped than ever before. She’s in the best shape of her life and looks like a greater star. Down in developmental, Shelton Benjamin has been moving away from his pure technician approach and working a more standard wrestling style, with less amateur stuff. Elsewhere in the wrestling world:WWE has extended Vampiro. Charismatic guy, but a real head case. Masato Tanaka is joining NOAH on a per date deal. Funaki, recently fired by WWE, will be joining Zero One for their next tour. That’s in addition to his short-term deal with us that includes a spot in the 30 man Mayhem match. CMLL signed Octagon to an exclusive deal. That’s a big blow for AAA since he’s their reigning Campeon de Campeones, which is their top title. Wataru Inoue, who has been one of the top guys in Osaka Pro on a per date deal, is joining All Japan under an exclusive contract.
Here’s the full list of participants in the Mayhem match: 1. Aguila 2. AJ Styles 3. Billy Kidman 4. Bobby Roode 5. Brian Kendrick 6. Cash 7. Chris Jericho 8. Colt Cabana 9. Eddie Guerrero 10. Funaki 11. Great Sasuke 12. Hayabusa 13. Johnny Parisi 14. Kaz Hayashi 15. King Corino 16. Konnan 17. Lance Storm 18. Matt Hardy 19. Magnum Tokyo 20. Paul London 21. Petey Williams 22. Prince Devitt 23. Rey Mysterio Jr. 24. Sean O’Haire 25. Shane Douglas 26. Shane Helms 27. Teddy Hart 28. The Unnatural 29. Tony Mamaluke 30. Yang Noooooooooooooo! No more Scott Steiner is a sad day. I'm not gonna say any more but you tend to seem about a week or two ahead of me sometimes on booking "similar" things. Even if in-game, you're doing it three years later than I am. Yeah, I didn't really want to let Scott go. But I'd be paying him like $30 or $40K a month, he's still in rehab for three more months, and he was making all kinds of demands. Maybe I'll look at bringing him back once he's out of rehab, but I kind of hope someone else picks him up. Make him the star of TNA, Russo! Jindrak's in-ring skills didn't measure up, yeah. I did want to try and elevate him because he used to be on the hot prospects list, but it just never happened. And then he got flabby and lost his star quality. I'm really curious to see what you're talking about now... Are WCW's numbers going to dip with Enigma in rehab? Joe should be a great fit, even if they don't necessarily NEED an enforcer type since they've already got O'Haire. I really loved Knoble's ROH run. I like him, but hopefully he'll have a nice run in New Japan. Finlay's psychology isn't good enough for me to consider him as a road agent. I wouldn't sign Rock even if I could, TBH. Well, maybe I would if he left WWE because Shawn succeeded in turning the locker room against him and ran him off. I'm not going to try and steal him though. I've kind of cheated the system a little bit by leaving Enigma's push set at Main Event--as far as I can tell he's still going to count in national battles that way. Is it gaming the system? Yep! But WWE basically has a walking cheat code in Rock, and I didn't re-sign Austin and allowed them to swipe RVD, so I feel no shame!

Calgary Bulldogs - All Generico and no wins makes Kevin something something... TAKA - Can't see any of the champions losing here, as this feels like a bit of a setup show for next month... you know, Mayhem... But that's just what I'm going with on all of them. Shinsuke Nakamura Bryan Danielson CM Punk
The 30 Man Mayhem match, with the winner challenging for the World championship at the Great American Bash: -Longest stay in match: King Corino -Most eliminations: Sean O'Haire -Runner up: Unnatural -Winner: Lance Storm I don't really feel like Jericho is going to pick up the debut win. And everyone else has something else they could go do. But a big title match between the Tag champions? Now that sounds huge.
What will be match of the night? Bryan vs Destroyer
How many championships will change hands? 0

Just got caught up with what you have posted here! Love your writing! You actually inspired me to write out some backstage stuff for my own dynasty so thank you for that! I'll go back on the GDS forums and check out some older shows as I go along but I'm down to follow this on here.

Steenerico vs. Calgary Bulldogs I'm in the opposite boat as Beejus - they gotta have some good times before they explode - give them a solid push
Volador Jr. vs. TAKA (©) for the World Cruiserweight Championship
Christopher Daniels vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (©) for the World Television Championship Crazy how I almost forgot Daniels was on your roster. Doesn't exactly feel like he's been lost in the shuffle, but it wouldn't surprise me that if suitors came, you'd let him go.
The Destroyer vs. Bryan Danielson (©) for the United States Heavyweight Championship Would be interesting if this went the other way...
Mortis vs. CM Punk (©) for the World Heavyweight Championship A good B show PPV match that I have faith will deliver like an A show match
The 30 Man Mayhem match, with the winner challenging for the World championship at the Great American Bash: -Longest stay in match: I like the Corino guess, but I'll go with AJ Styles -Most eliminations: Sean O'Haire -Runner up: Chris Jericho -Winner: Lance Storm
I'm never crazy about the "x wrestler debuts/returns & instantly gets a world title shot". It's fine for personal saves, but you've got tons of avenues here now that Enigma's out. The idea that Jericho returns to attempt to get a honest World Heavyweight Title shot - something that he couldn't get his first time around - only for his buddy Lance to get the shot instead... now that's a much more interesting path for me personally.
What will be match of the night? Punk vs Mortis
How many championships will change hands? 0
General diary comments/questions/critiques: Keep up the good work, TFC.
