...So what is this, for those who might be unfamiliar?
This is a savegame I started several years ago in TEW2016, using a slightly modified version of Genadi's WCW Lives mod to take over WCW in May 2001, using Bret Hart as my user character. SuperBrawl 2004 is the most recent show posted, so we've covered nearly three years of in-game time. I'm not about to transfer all of that mess over here, so if you want to read any old shows you'll need to go to GDS. If not, hopefully the title history provides at least some context for some major things that have happened over the last three-ish years. Here is a brief look at some of the recent major stories:
-Jeff Hardy won the annual Stu Hart Classic tournament in November to earn a Starrcade main event title shot against The Unnatural (Dustin Rhodes.) The challenger not only came up short, he suffered a (kayfabe) injury too. He popped back up at SuperBrawl, decked out in paint and joining The Unnatural's heel group 'Salvation.' Now renamed The Enigma, he helped Unnatural retain the title against Steve Austin, and also gave Austin a kayfabe injury after the match.
-The reason for that injury? I only signed Austin to a 1-year contract, and when it came up a bidding war ensued. SuperBrawl was his last match for WCW, but in a shocker he jumped to New Japan instead of WWE. This leaves Goldberg as clearly the most over babyface, at least with mainstream fans.
-The Ultimate Fan Series tournament is ongoing, and it's now down to the semifinals, where the top-seeded Dead Jesters are battling #6 Uncrewed's Crew, and #2 Rated R Superstars are dealing with #5 The Limitless.
There's probably loads more I could cover, but that's just a very brief overview of what's happened recently. If you have any questions I can do my best to answer them. Otherwise, I'm going to begin to crosspost all new updates to the dynasty both here and on GDS.

Wow, amazing premise for a dynasty. I'm parking over here. Waiting for the roster, but loving the champs. Good luck, dude! Normally I would wait until the beginning of April (in-game April) to post one of my quarterly roster updates, but you bring up an interesting point. Not only am I just now posting this here (and without any of the hundreds of posts that have covered the last three years), it's been many months since I've posted anything at all on GDS too. I'll bump the roster update up one in-game month early; I'll try to get that up tomorrow. Yes!!! My favorite diary of all time, glad to see it continuing. Awesome, glad to have you!

Some character names you might not be familiar with if you haven't followed along with the dynasty before I brought it over here:
The Destroyer: Mike Awesome The Enigma: Jeff Hardy The Unnatural: Dustin Rhodes (though I'd hope the picture in the hall of champions gave that away!) Johnny Parisi: Johnny Swinger The Beautiful Nightmare: Katrina Waters/Katie Lea Burchill/Winter in TNA Allison Corino: Allison Danger (changed to play off of her being the real-life sister of Steve Corino) Melissa Anderson: Cheerleader Melissa (Melissa Anderson is her real name, but in this dynasty I've also made her the kayfabe niece of Arn Anderson)

Pretty crazy roster. Very young but that can't be anything bad. Wow. The cruiserweights look almost paired to the heavyweights in terms of star power, it seems.
Btw, how did Lance and Punk became a team?

Thanks to our recent success, the Observer has upped our status and now considers us to be an International company. Since WWE fell from that level in late 2002 and have yet to rise back up, that can’t make Vince happy. It’s a positive for us but we can’t afford to rest on our laurels, especially having lost a big gun in our fight when Austin jumped to New Japan. We’ve signed Japanese talent and Ultimo Dragon trainee Magnum Tokyo to a contract. He tore his rotator cuff in an August 2002 match in the Japanese branch of Toryumon, and by the time he recovered both of the groups he’d been working for (Toryumon and Big Japan) had closed up shop. He hasn’t been given a chance by any of the surviving Japanese groups for whatever reason, so we went ahead and signed him. He’ll make a brief trip to Wildside to work off his ring rust, and then we’ll figure out a use for him in WCW. Down in developmental, Ace Steel caught some kind of viral infection that will keep him out of action for over a month. Elsewhere in the wrestling world:-WWE ran an ECW-branded PPV called Living Dangerously, though they run both brands on every PPV so whatever. The ECW title did main event though, and Scott Hall won it from Kurt Angle, who had held it since Wrestlemania last year. That was a good match, but Rock retaining the WWE title over Edge in the semi main was the highlight of a show that was good, but nowhere close to SuperBrawl. I guess the show didn’t get enough buys to make DirecTV happy though, so they’re moving future PPVs to a later time slot. Too bad, Vince. -Steve Skyfire (also known as EZ Money, or formerly Jason Jett in WCW) won the NWA World title from Tadao Yasuda on an NWA show in Connecticut. -Pro Wrestling IRON had to bow out and close up shop due to financial troubles. -Steve Austin made his New Japan debut on their TV show with a thrilling 95-rated DQ win over Satoshi Kojima that is one of the best matches the company has put on so far this year.
National Battle Report: March 2004
Don't expect updates this often regularly. Just getting things caught up over here. (There probably will be another news post tomorrow though, because some stuff popped up after my most recent show that's important enough for me to cover right away.) Pretty crazy roster. Very young but that can't be anything bad. Wow. The cruiserweights look almost paired to the heavyweights in terms of star power, it seems. Btw, how did Lance and Punk became a team? Yeah, that's kind of a byproduct of booking as Bret Hart. I'm prioritizing talented wrestlers for the most part, because that's what I imagine Bret valuing as a booker and that's what my product is set up for. There are a couple of notable exceptions; mainly Goldberg, who I brought in circa 2003 pretty much solely so he could help me compete with WWE in national battles. I'm considering eventually getting rid of the cruiserweight title since so many of my upper card guys are cruiserweights now that it seems almost superfluous. The Storm/Punk pairing initially came out of my Ultimate Fan Series (where the top 8 finishers at the end of a prediction contest get to take part in a draft and put their own teams together, and then I run a playoff series with the teams.) They were drafted on the same team in 2001 and wound up having really good chemistry, so I ran with the team. They've become the standard bearers of the tag division, and their feud with the Hardys elevated the tag titles, with the blowoff ladder match headlining Starrcade in 2002. At first the True Heroes name was a cocky heel thing, but they turned face last year.
