Are you interested in the what ifs of wrestling history. Now its been done a few times discussing how WCW might have survived if Bischoff had bought them in 2001. However, what if, WCW back in the late 90s pushed more of there young talent, what if Russo never joined WCW? What if they never stumbled like they did and as a result the Monday Night Wars raged on. Young rising stars like Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Lord Steven Regal,Chris Benoit, Sean O'Haire and Lance Storm to name a few all got better pushes and more screen time.

If WCW have some momentum and success, the NBC specials might be an option.

So...from what point are you re-booking from? WCW telling the world Foley was about to win the belt? I still think the nWo would have killed itself and lost the war anyway. You'd need to refresh that, gut the members maybe and how do you tackle things getting stale. I'd need to watch some Russo WCW, but really don't want to put myself through that.

The first thing that changes is Sting wins clean at Starrcade 1997. WCW is better booked after this, WWF still picks up steam too leading to a back and fourth struggle between the two companies. ECW survives too, maybe bought by MTV. |
