You cannot achieve success without the risk of failure...
And I learned a long time ago, you cannot achieve success if you fear failure. If you're not afraid to fail, man you have a chance to succeed. But you're never gonna' get there unless you risk it, all the way.
I'll risk failure. Sometimes, half the fun is failing. Learning from your mistakes, waking up the next day and saying "Okay, watch out. Here I come again. A little bit smarter, licking my wounds and really not looking forward to getting my ass kicked the way I just did yesterday. So now...I'm a little more dangerous."
This is my second chance, my shot to prove to this industry that I can run a successful business. My chance to show them all just how dangerous I can be.
This my friends isn't the WWE, this isn't WCW, this isn't even ECW...This my friends, is Wrestling...Society...X
Paul Heyman Starts New Independent Promotion
A new promotion has arrived on the independent scene with backing from investors. The man that is famous for the rebellious number three company back in the days of the Attitude Era has returned to the forefront of Wrestling ownership, taking the reigns of the company which is being dubbed "Wrestling Society X"
The company is starting out without any broadcasting deals to name, however with the financial backing it has received and with Paul Heyman being the man at the helm, it's safe to assume that some members of the roster being built will be signed to written contracts. Paul Heyman, who is never one to shy away from an interview was happy to inform us of his plans going forward with the promotion.
So what is Wrestling Society X?
PH: Wrestling Society X is my new project in wrestling, the aim will be to present an exciting, fast paced, modern product aimed at attracting young adults.
Is this going to be like ECW?
PH: I won't lie, it will have some of the spirit that ECW had, trying to present a product that is somewhat "counter culture" but is it going to be an outright carbon copy? Absolutely not. There's a lot that I've learned from ECW and if you are expecting a revival of that, than I apologize in advance for disappointing you.
Are you looking to get broadcasting deals?
PH: Of course, but for the time being I'll be looking into alternative means of exposing the product to multiple eyeballs until a suitable broadcaster can be found.
Will we ever get a Wrestling Society X PPV?
PH: There will certainly be monthly events held, and again, a PPV would be something I would look into in the future, but right now the aim is to get people attracted to the company right off the bat.
Are you going to compete with the WWE?
PH: No, I'm going to have fun and try to run a profitable company.
What Stars Can we expect to see in WSX?
PH: You'll have to see when the roster gets released on the website.
Apparently you'll be offering some wrestlers written contracts?
PH: Yes, with the financial backing I have, the company is starting off in a position that most independent companies would like to be in. There are some wrestlers who will get contract offers, some who will be operating on pay-per appearance. Don't expect everybody getting guaranteed money.
What would you say to those who doubt you?
PH: You fuel my fire...

So what is this?
This is a slightly modified version of the 2005 Reign of Terror Mod, I have modified it so that the company opens January, 2005. The company starts basically as a blank slate. Think of it as an alternate reality. Wrestling Society X, rather than the ten episode run it had on MTV, is actually an independent company, looking to succeed and be profitable among the rest of the indie companies out there. With the product being the way it is I thought who better to run the company, than Paul Heyman.
With the roster starting off blank. I'll release the roster a little bit differently, obviously, there are guys I've already signed and guys I'm probably going to sign, but as I build a roster of...probably 25 guys to get us started I'd like to hear. Who do you think Paul E should sign?
