Breaking News- On a special Madison Square Garden Week of Raw, we saw Mick Foley get presented a commemorative Hardcore Title for all of his accomplishments in wrestling. Later on, Evolution beat him up, with Orton kicking Foley down a flight of stairs. - On the SmackDown! after, also from MSG, it was announced that Kane and Test would fight once again that night, with the winner getting a shot at Angle's World Heavyweight Title the following week. To further add fuel to the proverbial fire, Mr. McMahon announced that if Test were to lose, he would not be able to get a shot at the World Title for a year. However, if Kane lost, he would have to unmask. The match was made First Blood, and after interference by Big Show and John Cena (both of which were promptly eliminated by Undertaker and a chair), Test managed to use some barbed wire to wound Kane's arm, cutting that up and busting him open. When Kane unmasked for everyone to see, his face was smudged and he immediately grew a look of anger. He started beating up everybody in sight with a chair, referees, Show, Cena, Test, even Tazz wasn't and Cole weren't safe. It all ended with a Chokeslam to Undertaker in the middle of the ring and the red pyro to close the show.

Sunday Night Heat WWE Tag Team Titles
The World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas) (C) vs. Rikishi and Scott Steiner
- The show is already 4 hours, and it still can't fit all the matches! Rikishi and DDP won a 4-way tag match to earn this match. Upon learning that Rikishi's tag team partner DDP was going to be in the US Title match, however (courtesy of Mr. McMahon), Stephanie let Rikishi pick a tag team partner. Once again, Rikishi chose Scott Steiner who seemed somewhat unwilling, but still went along with it for the title opportunity. These two teams spent a few weeks outlasting the other with Rikishi beating Haas and Benjamin beating Steiner in singles matches. On the go-home show, they were informed their match would be on Heat. Steiner seemed more miffed by this than the others, but still went along with the beatdown that left Shelton and Charlie running for the hills. Can the new tag champs retain on the pre-show? Or can Rikishi and Steiner coexist long enough to become new tag champions?
Main Card
WWE World Tag Team Titles
La Resistance (Sylvain Grenier and Rene Dupree) (C) vs. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-von Dudley)
- The Dudley Boyz defeated Thuggin and Buggin on Raw to become the #1 contenders for the World Tag Team Titles. La Resistance have had no issue letting everyone know their hatred of the USA and preferring France over the country they currently reside in. They desecrated the American flag by having a French poodle step on it. This caused the Dudleys to pop in and express disdain for their actions. After a few weeks of France vs. USA insults (including a public debate that ended in the Dudleys being put through tables), things seem to come to a head when La Resistance insulted an American serviceman sitting at ringside. The Dudleys intervened and saved him...only for the serviceman to turn on the Dudleys and help La Resistance beat him down and drape the US flag over them. Can The Dudleys amount a manner of revenge for their country? Or will La Resistance prove that France's might is not to be trifled with?
Casket Match
The Undertaker vs. Big Show
- After dispatching of John Cena, Undertaker sat from ringside as his brother lost and had to take his mask off. Aware more than almost anyone how dangerous that made Kane, Undertaker took a Chokeslam by his brother. With his brother now running roughshod over SmackDown! now that the chaos underneath has been released, The Undertaker is looking to enact some revenge on his behalf on those that caused this to occur. After beating Cena once again on SmackDown! and taking him momentarily out of action with a Last Ride through the announce table, Undertaker took sights at Big Show. The two fought once more on SmackDown! with Undertaker managing to win by count out after Kane showed up and sent Show running. Stephanie granted The Undertaker his choice of a match at SummerSlam. Mr. McMahon popped in and said that his choice of a match would be its type when he takes on Big Show. Undertaker opted to choose a Casket Match, saying he's going to lock the giant up tight so that nobody has to earn his wrath again. The two fought a couple more times before the go-home show, all leading up to Undertaker sending Show off the stage. Undertaker joined him with an elbow, taking both men momentarily out. With the two of them not at 100%, is Big Show's size going to be the factor to keep him out of the casket? Or will Big Evil find a way to slam that lid shut on this rivalry once and for all?
WWE Intercontinental Title
Rob Van Dam (C) vs. A-Train
- One year ago, Rob Van Dam beat Chris Benoit to become the Intercontinental Champion. Since then, he has fought off all challengers and even won a war against him to have him lose the title. One year later, the Whole Dam Show is facing a challenge he has fought before, but one even more vicious than ever. A-Train won a Battle Royal to earn this shot, and he dominated everyone by eliminating everyone. Since then, A-Train has left RVD a pile of bones and guts every time they've met. A-Train even sent RVD through the announce table with a Baldo Bomb. RVD finally got some measure of revenge by humiliating A-Train by sending him tripping on his ass. With the one year anniversary fresh in mind, can RVD hold onto that gold? Or will A-Train be the one finally unseat Mr. Monday Night?
WWE Women's Title in a Fatal 4-Way Match
Victoria (C) vs. Trish Stratus vs. Jazz vs. Molly Holly
- Victoria has beaten everyone put in her path since she won the title at Judgment Day. Nobody can stop her, but Stephanie has decided to put her strength to the test. She will take on Trish, Molly, and Jazz in a Fatal 4-Way Match for the Women's Title. Steven Richards tried to beg and plead for Victoria, but Stephanie kept her word. She even added something: if Steven interferes or even shows up at ringside at SummerSlam, than the title will be stripped from Victoria and she would be removed from the match entirely. Mr. McMahon popped in and let Jazz know that if she doesn't win this match, than she can't challenge for the title again so long as Victoria is champion. With the odds stacked against two of the opponents, is this the momentum and opportunity that Trish and Molly need to regain that title? Will Victoria be able to survive without her cohort at ringside to help her? Or will Jazz overcome the odds and become the new Women's Champion?
Goldberg vs. Chris Jericho
- Chris Jericho made a spotlight moment on his Highlight Reel after Bad Blood when he made notice of his own career, from WCW on to WWE. This didn't sit well with Bischoff or Austin, both of whom weren't too happy with his history reminder. They made Jericho take on Hulk Hogan later that night. After Hogan walked away the winner. Things went from bad to worse for Jericho, as he faced a returning Jeff Hardy in a qualifier for the 6-Pack Elimination Challenge. Jeff walked out the winner, leaving Y2J an embarrassed mess. He got a measure of revenge by assuring his buddies Christian and Lance Storm qualified. However, Jericho still didn't have a match. Austin and Bischoff argued with each other about how to pick to be his opponent, but when Y2J took manners into his own hands and "accidentally" threw a can of paint onto Austin's ATV, the Bionic Redneck made a surprising move and left it to Eric's choice. The next week, after Jericho defeated Goldust, Eric announced that Jericho's opponent for SummerSlam is somebody that he has had issues with in the past. In fact, even in WCW they never got along. Eric announced that Jericho's opponent...would be Goldberg. Jericho fretted for weeks on his match, including letting everyone know how much Goldberg hated him. The clock ticked week after week with Chris trying to figure out a way to beat him. The clock ran out on the go-home show and Goldberg Speared Jericho once before walking away. Can the returning monster continue his undefeated streak by taking out Y2J? Or can Jericho figure out how to be the one to unseat Goldberg?
WWE United States Title in a Fatal 4-Way Match
Chris Benoit (C) vs. Diamond Dallas Page vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio
- Going off the theme of the Fatal 4-Way Match, Stephanie made another match where Benoit would defend his title against DDP, Eddie Guerrero, and Rey Mysterio. Eddie and Rey are still a tag team, but it seems that almost every week there's some form of miscommunication that always costs them. Things seemed dire when Eddie was pissed off against DDP to get himself DQed. Later that same night, Eddie interfered against Benoit to help Rey, but the ref caught him and gave the DQ win to Benoit. On the go-home show, while Benoit and DDP had a rematch from Vengeance (that ended in a roll-up win by DDP), Eddie and Rey fought one-on-one. The two hermanos came to serious blows with neither man giving the other any surcease. Rey came out on top after reversing a Frog Splash into a top rope hurricanrana for the pin. The two shook hands afterwards, and teamed up to take out Benoit and DDP. Can Benoit retain his title in this multi-man match? Can DDP get revenge from Vengeance by winning the US Title once again? Can Eddie control his anger or use it to win the title for himself? Or can Rey win his first singles championship since joining WWE?
#1 Contender of the WWE Title in a 6-Pack Elimination Challenge
Randy Orton with Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Christian vs. Lance Storm
- Steve Austin and Eric Bischoff announced a huge match for SummerSlam: a 6-Pack Elimination Challenge, where the winner faces the WWE Champion the next night on Raw. Qualifiers were placed: Hogan beat Christian, Orton beat RVD, Shawn beat A-Train, a returning Jeff beat Jericho, Storm beat his former boss turned peer Val Venis, and Christian won a last-chance battle royal to qualify. With the match set, the six men fought in various match-ups to prove who was going to survive this affair. Can Orton fulfill his destiny and get that title shot? Can Hogan win and make that climb back to the top? How about HBK, who is looking for any manner of revenge on Triple H and Evolution? Can Jeff Hardy's return be the momentum he needs to make that step to the next level? Christian and Lance Storm see eye-to-eye, but will that be enough to earn them the win?
World Heavyweight Title
Kurt Angle (C) vs. Brock Lesnar
- In this WrestleMania rematch, it's enemies turned friends turned enemies. After WrestleMania, Angle broke his neck. While held up in the hospital, Lesnar became something of a friend to him. The two met at Vengeance where Angle managed to nab the title from Lesnar. Mr. McMahon took notice, and lambasted Lesnar for "going soft" and how it cost him his World Title. It was made Lesnar vs. Vince that night in a Steel Cage with Angle as Special Ref. Unfortunately, Lesnar was found knocked out backstage. He still came out to compete, but fell to the mat woozy and dazed. Angle refused to count, and after being slapped by Vince, Angle had an Ankle Lock on him. It was a swerve bro! Lesnar nipped up and hit an F5 to Angle! Lesnar and Vince beat up Angle together, leaving him bloodied in the cage. Vince announced that Lesnar would be using his rematch clause from Vengeance to take on Kurt Angle! Lesnar let everyone know that Kurt stopped being his friend when he took his title. Lesnar became sicker, more inhumane, including beating down Zach Gowen in front of his mom until he was a bloody pulp and had to be taken away on a stretcher. "It's the WrestleMania rematch, but this time it's personal! A friendship born out of competition, ripped apart by greed! It's Lesnar-Angle II, for the World Heavyweight Title! At SummerSlam!"
Steel Cage Match
Kane vs. Test
- Nobody barring those closest to Kane could've predicted that humiliating Kane by forcing him to remove his mask would be unleashing Pandora's box. Kane has been on a tear, attacking anybody in his path towards the end of Test and Big Show, two big culprits who cost him his mask. Even his own brother isn't safe, suffering a Chokeslam of his own. Kane even had a sit-down interview with Raw's Jim Ross to discuss what happened. Unfortunately, that ended with JR being set on fire. Kane even hit a Chokeslam to Cena, who was already injured, forcing Cena onto the exposed concrete. It reached a point where Mr. McMahon made this Steel Cage Match in order to keep Kane contained. However, Stephanie told him that if he kept on attacking innocent people than he would not only not get his match against Test, but also his contract would be terminated and he would no longer be able to compete in WWE. Kane looked about to Chokeslam Stephanie, but was interrupted by Test and Big Show. Undertaker ran in to make the save, but Kane didn't want it and hit another Chokeslam to Undertaker. Test has lived in fear of what he did, seeing Kane's pyro everywhere and being haunted by red lights. After he was sent home because of what he did to Undertaker, Kane was called out by Mr. McMahon on the go-home show. He was led by a police squad in armor, wearing chains to keep him constricted. Vince slapped Kane a couple times, telling him to do something about it. He was blindsided by Big Show and Test, who beat down Kane while he was still chained up. Undertaker tried to interfere, but was promptly hit with a Big Boot and Chokeslam by the two men. They looked to whack Kane with a chair, but Kane sat-up, scaring Test right out of the ring. Show was confused by this but still got the chair. When the pyro went off around him, Show turned around into a big boot by Undertaker, forcing the chair into his face. The two fought to the stage where Undertaker and Show both were sent off of it. Meanwhile, Kane stalked Test to the back still in chains with the SWAT members being unable to keep up. Kane eventually stopped when Test got into and took off, but not before a cinder block was sent through the front window, narrowly missing Test. Can Test keep the chaos that is Kane contained? Or will Test just become another victim of Kane's wrath?
WWE Title in a Triple Threat Match
Triple H (C) with Ric Flair vs. The Rock vs. Booker T
- It's The Rock's retirement match, as he announced after WrestleMania. Austin and Bischoff agreed to make it Triple H vs. Rock one last time at SummerSlam in order to give him a fond farewell and one last hurrah. However, after Booker narrowly missed beating Triple H in a 60 minute Iron Man match a week after Bad Blood, Booker had his eyes focused on Triple H. Rock and Book found themselves at odds due to this. Bischoff made it Rock vs. Booker, and if Booker won, he would be added to the match. The match ended in a No Contest when Evolution interfered to take them out. Austin came out and said that Booker didn't win...but he also didn't lose, and that Booker will be added to the match. HHH tried to his damndest to make Rock and Booker fight each other on the road to SummerSlam while he sat pretty and let them go at it. A couple weeks before, Rock and Booker teamed up to take on Orton and Flair in a losing effort (thanks to interference by Jeff Hardy). That left HHH at ringside, something they noticed. Rock and Booker dragged HHH in and hit a Scissors Kick and People's Elbow to him. On the go-home show, Triple H was set to face Rock and Booker in a Handicap Match, but it was all a set-up! HHH had Christian, Jericho, Storm, Orton, Flair, A-Trian, and whatever heel he could pull out of the locker room all team up to leave Rock and Booker a mess. The corresponding faces interfered to even the odds and send them to the back (except for Jericho who had Goldberg, so he was left with HHH and Flair in the ring). HHH got the sledgehammer and saw them rise. Rock took Flair out with a Rock Bottom while Booker took Jericho out with a Book End. They both turned around into sledgehammer shots to the face. HHH stood above them with title up high to close the show. Can Triple H overcome the twosome threat of Rock and Booker? Can Booker defeat Triple H once again to regain the WWE Title? Or will the Braham Bull retire in style by winning the WWE Title one more time?

Hey.
So.
I'm definitely going to pick this up, but with probably much less polish to it. Appropriate graphics, theme, templates and all that will stay the same. But the results and card previews will probably be much more streamlined.
I'm building a world here that I didn't even realize I was building and now I'm trying to get everything up to the present before resuming. But I'm almost there. And might jump in early depending on how I feel.

Sunday Night Heat WWE Tag Team Titles
The World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas) (C) vs. Rikishi and Scott Steiner
Winners: The World's Greatest Tag Team at 5:03
Result: Scott and Rikishi take it to Haas and Benjamin for a bit until Rikishi accidentally Savate Kicks Scott out of the ring. Haas and Benjamin work over Rikishi's leg for a bit until Scott looks like he's going to interfere, but instead, opts to step down and sit on a steel chair. The end comes soon after when Benjamin Superkicks Rikishi's leg while Charlie dropkicks his face in a high-low maneuver that gets the pin right after.
Afterwards, Scott grabs the chair and enters the ring. WGTT head to the hills with their titles as Scott chop blocks Rikishi's leg with the chair. He then starts to beat it down with the chair, leaving it a mess before heading to the back, ignoring the fans' boos.
Main Card
We get a cold open where Howard Finkel introduces a local Phoenix Marine Corps Color Guard. We then head to the ring where Lilian Garcia sings "The National Anthem."
(switch out the Chamber imagery for Triple H's evil and the Chamber participants with Hunter, Rock, and Booker. Switch out Bischoff and Shane for Goldberg and Jericho. Throw in some more things with Undertaker and A-Train too where the Kane stuff is and sub in RVD for Test. "War will be waged on the most brutal of battlegrounds, with a man who confirms that there...is pure evil in this world." and "for the men who put their own bodies on the line for a prize won by sadists, fought over by rogues, and held...by the devil himself.")
WWE World Tag Team Titles
La Resistance (Sylvain Grenier and Rene Dupree) (C) vs. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-von Dudley)
Winners: La Resistance at 7:51
Result: The match goes virtually the same as it did in real life. In fact, the entire match is the same. There's no reason to change it. Rob Conway appears as a photographer and blasts D-Von while the ref is distracted. La Resistance takes advantage and gets the pinfall.
Afterwards, Spike comes out to try and even the odds, but is taken out by an Au Revoir from Grenier and Dupree. Rob blasts Bubba with the camera once he is up. La Resistance with Conway celebrate before leaving. Afterwards, The Dudleys are confronted by Coach, who tries to interview them about the match. Bubba is pissed and they shove him down.
------------------ Before the next match, we head backstage where Eric Bischoff and Stephanie McMahon are seen in the shared GM office. They start to argue until Mr. McMahon comes in. He tells them their performance review starts tomorrow and goes through October. He expects them to put on their best shows, starting tonight. Stephanie tries to insult Vince while Eric tries to kiss his ass. Vince tells them both off, saying the only thing he hates just as much as disrespect is an ass kisser. He tells them that they have until October to impress him, and if they don't, they can expect not to have a job for much longer. He then leaves, and the two remaining continue their petty insults.
We then get a promo detailing how we got to the match, one that intersects a bit with the story of Kane vs. Test.
Casket Match
The Undertaker vs. Big Show
Winner: The Undertaker at 12:45
Result: Remember their match from Survivor Series 2008? This is literally the same match. Undertaker tries repeatedly to put Show into the casket, but Show is just too big. Eventually, Show has enough and flips the casket over. He goes to leave until Kane's pyro goes off. Kane comes out and is on a beeline for Show, who is trapped between a machine and a Deadman. Undertaker stops him with a dive over the top. Kane goes to Chokeslam Undertaker, but Test appears and starts to beat-up Kane. The two brawl to the back, upon which security guards attempt to separate them. Undertaker blasts a chair into Show's face that nearly takes the chair off its frame. Undertake then gets a casket from the back, setting it up at the stage. After a few more minutes of brawling, Undertaker reverses an Irish whip by Show into one of his own, sending Show into the casket and having it topple over, closing on the way down and giving Undertaker the win.
------------------ Before the next match, we head backstage again where Kane and Test continue their brawl for a bit. Eventually, Test sends Kane through a glass window. Test hightails it out of there. Kane then suddenly appears once again, smashing a nearby door off its hinges and looking pissed.
After that, we go ringside where Coachman asks a few people at ringside who they think is winning the 6-Pack Elimination Challenge tonight. A lot of them are split between Hogan and HBK.
WWE Intercontinental Title
Rob Van Dam (C) vs. A-Train
Winner: Rob Van Dam at 10:36
Result: RVD trips A-Train a few times at the beginning before RVD goes for a senton over the top onto the outside. A-Train catches him and powerbombs RVD into the apron. Train then starts tearing into RVD and his back with slams, backbreakers, and strikes. RVD gets a few strikes in here and there, but A-Train is quick to power him back down. A-Train goes for a Train Wreck, but RVD reverses it into a DDT. RVD starts to come back, including hitting a Rolling Thunder that he winces afterwards. He goes up top, but Train crotches him up top. Train then goes for a Baldo Bomb, but RVD reverses it into a hurricanrana, sending Train into the corner. One kick later and Train is down. RVD goes up top again and hits a Five Star Frog Splash. He fights through the pain and hooks the leg to claim victory.
Afterwards, RVD celebrates for a few moments before Train attacks him once again. He hits a Baldo Bomb once in the ring and then again on the outside onto the floor. RVD is helped to the back by EMTs and the referee.
------------------ Before the next match, we head backstage where Eric Bischoff and Stephanie are watching the last match. Suddenly, Steve Austin enters the room with a cooler of beer. Austin tells Bischoff that since they are co-GMs, they share the office with SD's GM. Austin and Stephanie shake hands despite any looming animosity between them. Eventually, Austin offers them both a beer. Eric reluctantly accepts it, and the three toast over a great SummerSlam with Eric taking all of the liquid aftermath. They get him drenched in beer. He looks pissed as Steph and Austin drink their alcohol and laugh at his misfortune. Austin says that the only person who might hate Eric more than him is Stephanie.
WWE Women's Title in a Fatal 4-Way Match
Victoria (C) vs. Trish Stratus vs. Jazz vs. Molly Holly
Winner: Victoria at 8:48
Result: Victoria and Jazz dominate the match with their offense and powerhouse. Eventually, Molly and Jazz team-up to take her out, leaving Trish. Molly then betrays Jazz, but it costs her. Jazz focuses on Molly, hitting a Powerbomb to her onto the steel steps. Jazz goes for Victoria, but Trish once again tries to intercede. Jazz gets Trish off long enough for Victoria to hit Jazz with Widow's Peak and get her out of the ring. Victoria and Trish then have another confrontation. Trish begins getting her ass kicked, but always manage to kick out. Trish is nearly out of it, but she doesn't quit. Victoria ducks a clothesline by Molly, causing Trish to Chick Kick her down. That might've been all Trish had as Victoria then hits a Widow's Peak to her. Jazz tries to break it up, but makes it right after the three.
Afterwards, Victoria celebrates with Steven at the stage as Trish looks disappointed, Molly looks pissed, and Jazz looks defeated.
------------------ Before the next match, Austin is being explained the performance review from Vince by Eric and Steph. When they're done, Austin says he doesn't get it, much to their frustration. The Dudley Boyz enter the room and plead to Austin about La Resistance and Conway. Eric tries to intercede, but Austin tells him to shut-up. Austin asks again if The Dudleys want La Resistance and Conway. When they confirm it, "bam! it's done, tomorrow night on RAW, 6-Man Tag Team action." The Dudleys leave happy. Eric asks Austin what he's doing giving something like that away for free. Austin says he's giving the people what they want. Eric says that people don't know what they want, and Stephanie takes umbrage to that. Steph and Austin then begin questioning Eric on his relationship with Goldberg, with Austin calling him "Eric's little monster." Eric dodges the question and tells them to watch "RAW's monster" go to work.
After that, we get a promo detailing how we got to the next match.
Goldberg vs. Chris Jericho
Winner: Goldberg at 5:27
Result: Jericho spends most of the beginning of the match stalling by getting out of the ring. After a few times, Goldberg follows him and Spears Jericho on the outside. Goldberg military presses Jericho into the ring. Goldberg takes his time and Spears Jericho for a second time. Goldberg picks Y2J up, and when the fans ask for "one more time", Goldberg obliges them, Spearing Jericho for a third time. Goldberg then ends it with an emphatic Jackhammer.
Afterwards, Goldberg looks to the hard cam and gives it a checkmark. Coach tries to interview Goldberg, asking him about his relationship with Bischoff, but Goldberg instead starts to beat him up. He throws him into the ring and Spears Coach out of his shoes. Goldberg then Spears the referee as well. Goldberg heads to the back, confused by the crowd's somewhat positive reaction.
------------------ Before the next match, we head to Evolution's locker room where Ric Flair is explaining to Orton that the plan is for him to win the contendership tonight and then lay down to Triple H in the title match. Orton starts to ask Flair if Triple H loses tonight, but Flair is dead set when he repeats to him the plan. Orton is insistent, but Flair tells Orton to listen to him when he says that he is to lay down to Triple H. Hunter pops in and Orton tries to act all friendly, but Trips is hellbent when he tells Orton that there is no what-if, because he is entering Phoenix the WWE Champion and walking out of Phoenix the WWE Champion. This isn't a second chance or a fairytale ending to career. This is just Triple H doing what he always does: proving that he is that damn good. Orton looks on as Trips exits. He turns back to Flair, who just stares at him. Orton repeats "I got it! What? *sigh*"
WWE United States Title in a Fatal 4-Way Match
Chris Benoit (C) vs. Diamond Dallas Page vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio
Winner: Diamond Dallas Page at 10:50
Result: The match is a hard-hitting affair from top to bottom with Eddie and Rey taking care of any high-flying action while Benoit and DDP deal with the technical side of things. A spot early on sees Benoit hit a suicide dive to DDP on the outside. Eddie then dives down with a splash onto both of them. Rey finishes it off with an Asai moonsault to all three men. The end comes when Mysterio hits a 619 to Benoit. Rey goes for a West Coast Pop, but Benoit reverses the hurricanrana portion into a Sharpshooter. DDP appears outta nowhere with a Diamond Cutter to Benoit! Bang! Eddie turns DDP around and hits the Three Amigos, but on the third Amigo, DDP reverse it into another Diamond Cutter outta nowhere! Bang! DDP goes for Rey, who reverses it into a dropkick. DDP is in the ropes. Rey goes for a 619, but DDP ducks. Rey kicks DDP away, going for a springboard. On the way back, DDP hits a Diamond Cutter outta nowhere in mid-air! DDP covers the leg and picks up the win!
------------------ Before the next match, we head backstage where Booker T gives an interview with Terri Runnels about the main event. It's a fiery promo where Booker says that he will not let his second chance go. And that tonight, he will walk out of Phoenix a two-time...two-time!...WWE Champion! "Now can you dig THAT........SUCKAAAAAAAAAA?!"
We then see brief results of how the six men earned their entry into the following match.
#1 Contender of the WWE Title in a 6-Pack Elimination Challenge
Randy Orton with Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Christian vs. Lance Storm
Winner: Shawn Michaels at 24:19
Result: 1. Christian and Storm team up on the competition for a bit. Eventually, Jeff reverses an Unprettier into a Twist of Fate. Jeff then goes for a Swanton Bomb, but Storm drags Christian out of the way. Orton capitalizes with an RKO to Jeff to eliminate him. 2. It's 3 on 2, and HBK and Hogan face the odds. Eventually, they manage to take Orton down by Shawn hitting an elbow drop from the top rope to him through the Spanish announce table. Christian and Storm continue their tag team efforts on Hogan. Eventually, Storm hits a Superkick to Hogan, leading into an Unprettier. They stack onto Hogan, but it only gets a two count as Hulk Hulks up. Hogan gets Christian out of the ring before hitting a big boot, Running Leg Drop on Storm. 3. Christian gets a chair and blasts Hogan, busting him open. Christian hits HBK with a chair to the back, taking him out for a bit more. Christian beats on the bloody Hogan. Christian eventually goes for another Unprettier, hitting it in the middle of the ring. Despite the offense, Hulk kicks out. He tries to Hulk up, but Christian blasts him with a chair a few times. Christian does some of Hulk's taunts, eventually turning around into a Sweet Chin Music that eliminates him. 4. Hogan and HBK stand up, having a staredown and the crowd standing up and murmuring for the moment that is being created. JR and King feel it and begin wondering and questioning who might win between the two. Despite Hogan's blood and HBK's back, the two deliver a solid 5 minutes of offense that ends when HBK dodges a Running Leg Drop, allowing him to hit Sweet Chin Music. When both men are out, Flair drags Orton back in. He slithers over and covers HBK, who kicks out. He then covers Hogan, who kicks out and starts to Hulk up. Hulk starts to take it to Orton, including hitting the big boot. He goes for the Running Leg Drop, but a chair suddenly strikes him in the back. It's Shane McMahon! Hogan sells it as Shane slides in. He blasts Hogan in the face with the chair once again. As Shawn stands up, Orton hits him with an RKO. Orton, Shane, and Flair get Hogan in the corner. Flair and Orton set the chair in his face as Shane hits Hogan with coast-to-coast. Orton covers Hogan, getting the elimination to the crowd's dismay. 5. After the above, Shane takes his leave with a smirk. Orton hooks Shawn's leg, but he gets his shoulder up! Orton is pissed. He goes for another RKO, but Shawn shoves him into Flair, taking the Nature Boy out of the ring. When Orton turns around, HBK hits him with Sweet Chin Music. Shawn covers Orton and that'll do it.
------------------ Before the next match, we see a replay of what happened earlier tonight on Heat when Steiner and Rikishi lost and then Steiner turned on Rikishi. We catch up with Scott as he was leaving the arena earlier tonight. Josh Mathews asks him why he did what he did, but Scott tells Mathews that if anybody wants to know the reason why he attacked Rikishi, all they have to do is pay attention. Scott ain't no tag team wrestler no mo'. Scott's a goddamn main eventer! And he's stuck on Heat! HEAT! The only heat he has is with guys like Rikishi who think they know what's best for him. The only person who knows what's best for Scott Steiner is Scott fricken Steiner. And on SmackDown!, if Rikishi's fat-ass can still walk, Steiner will happily give him some revenge, but Rikishi will know that if he DOES make it, he'll be lookin like Zach Gowen after a meetin with Brock: no legs to hobble around with.
On that gruesome note and unfortunate transition, we then show a replay of Lesnar destroying Zach Gowen in front of his mom.
And following THAT, a promo is shown detailing how we get to the next match.
World Heavyweight Title
Kurt Angle (C) vs. Brock Lesnar
Winner: Kurt Angle at 21:18
Result: Ah yes, yet another match that is exactly like their real life counterpart. Remember when I said this was going to be a lot more streamlined? This is an example of it. No need to change here what is exactly like its real life counterpart. One of the points of this is to stick close to canon (at the start and at least with the WWE version) as I can with things that I consider great, and this is no different. Lesnar gets into an Ankle Lock for the second time, and despite going to all the ropes begging Vince, and Vince telling him to roll through, Lesnar taps out.
Afterwards, Angle gets Vince in the ring and Angle Slams him through a chair. "Happy birthday Vince!"
------------------ Before the next match, we go to the GM's office where the three of them are discussing the night as it's preceded so far, with all three of them almost lackadaisical due to the beers they've drunk. They eventually get to Kane vs. Test when suddenly Shawn Michaels hobbles in. He asks Austin and Eric when his WWE Title match will be. Eric and Austin look at each other, and they both go to say a different date (Eric Unforgiven, Austin tomorrow night). They try again and with again different dates (Eric tomorrow night, Austin Unforgiven). Austin lets Eric take it, and Eric takes a few moments before letting Shawn that he will get his WWE Title match a week from tomorrow. This will give both him and the champion ample time to prepare when they're 100%. Shawn nods his head and exits. Austin and Eric look at each other a few moments before toasting another beer in a strangely amicable way.
We then get a promo for the next match, detailing how we got there. It intersects a bit with Undertaker vs. Show's from earlier.
Steel Cage Match
Kane vs. Test
Winner: Kane at 12:49
Result: The two begin brawling before the match starts, including Kane hitting a Chokeslam to Test through the SmackDown! announce table. Kane places Test into the cage, closing the door himself to begin the match. Kane takes it to Test, throwing him into the cage and busting him open fairly quickly. Kane beats down Test from there, dismantling him with the cage as much as he can. Eventually, Kane goes for a Chokeslam, but Test kicks him down low. One Big Boot later, and Kane kicks out. Test goes for a Flying Elbow Drop, but Kane meets him up top. The two brawl for a bit until Test hits a Big Boot that sends Kane to the mat. Test hits the Flying Elbow Drop, but Kane kicks out again. Test starts freaking out, hitting a third Big Boot. Instead of going for it, Test looks up. He climbs the cage, going for a Flying Elbow Drop to Kane from the top of the cage. He jumps, but Kane dodges. He then sits up and smirks. Chokeslam to Test, kickout. Kane gets Test up top. Kane climbs up and chokes Test. After a bit, Kane hits a second Chokeslam from the top rope, but doesn't go for the pin. Kane signals for a third, and when Test gets up, he is lifeless on his feet, allowing Kane to hit a third Chokeslam. Kane does the cutthroat and forces a dead weight Test to his feet. Kane gets him up and hits a Tombstone in the middle of the ring. Kane covers and Test is long since out.
------------------ Before the next match, we go backstage where The Rock gives a promo with Terri Runnels. It's the standard Rock Hollywood promo, albeit face and much more fan oriented. He gives respect to Booker before telling that this is The Rock's time and the spotlight shines on the Great One. He then rips Triple H and Evolution to pieces. At the end, The Rock takes his sunglasses off and looks into the camera. He's as serious as ever, and tells the WWE that for nearly 7 years, The Rock has entertained the millions (and millions) and has done so with the same passion and fire that he had when he debuted in Madison Square Garden. Tonight...in Phoenix, Arizona...The Rock will end his career as the only man to retire...WWE Champion...and for the first time in a long time, "if ya sa-MELLLLLLLLL lalalallow....what The Rock...is............cookin."
We then get one last promo detailing how we got to the following match.
WWE Title in a Triple Threat Match
Triple H (C) with Ric Flair vs. The Rock vs. Booker T
Winner: Triple H at 19:16
Result: How do you get around Triple H's groin injury? You have him stall on the outside for five minutes while Rock and Booker have a proper wrestling match. You then force Triple H in by those two men and quickly take him out with a Book End followed by a Rock Bottom. While Triple H is on the outside with Flair recovering, Booker and Rock tear the house down for another 12 to 13 minutes. At about 17 minutes into the match, Rock hits a spinebuster. He then goes for a People's Elbow to Booker, but Triple H runs in with a Sledgehammer mid-move. Triple H goes for Booker, who ducks it and starts unleashing hell. Booker eventually hits a Scissors Kick to Hunter. He goes for it, but Flair pulls Booker out. Flair chops Booker twice, to no effect. Flair tries to run, but runs right into the turnbuckle post. Booker picks Flair up and beats him down, eventually hitting him with a Book End on the floor and throwing him out into the crowd. Booker gets back into the ring, going for a Scissors Kick to Rock. Rock dodges and hits a Rock Bottom to Booker. Before he can capitalize, HHH goes for a Pedigree. Rock reverses it into a spinebuster. Rock then hits a People's Elbow to Hunter. As he stands up and turns around, he is is hit with a Spear by Goldberg! The fans start to rain down boos and JR and King are confused. Goldberg roars and Spears Booker as well. He kicks Booker out of the ring waits in the corner for Rock to stand. When Rock does, holding his ribs and coughing, he turns around into a second Spear! Goldberg then hits a Jackhammer to Rock before exiting the ring. He looks on as Triple H wakes up long enough to put an arm over Rock's chest. The ref, reluctantly, counts the three.
Afterwards, Triple H and Flair make their hasty exit, bypassing Goldberg, who reenters the ring. He quickly Superkicks Booker off the apron, taking him to the floor. Goldberg then takes off Rock's boots. Similar to how he did with Austin earlier this year, Goldberg turns around and wipes his feet next to Rock before leaving, taking the Great One's boots with him. We end SummerSlam with Rock and Booker laid out as Goldberg raises The Rock's boots up into the air. The Rock is now retired, and RAW's monster just made damn sure of it!
