WrestleMania X8
Live from the SkyDome in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Themes: "Tear Away" by Drowning Pool and "Superstar" by Saliva
Sunday Night Heat
Albert and Scotty Too Hotty vs. Test and Big Boss Man
Winner: Scotty Too Hotty and Albert at 3:06
Result: Not much of match. Jut something to get the crowd pumped and ready for action. Test and Bossman start off quickly by attacking before the bell, but don't last very long before finding themselves at the power game of Test. Albert ducks a Big Boot and is sent out of the ring. Baldo Bomb, WORM to Bossman. Test walks away from his partner as the babyfaces pick up the win.
Main Card:
We start the show with Saliva performing "Superstar" live.
WWF Intercontinental Championship
William Regal (C) vs. Rob Van Dam
Winner: Rob Van Dam at 6:19
Result: Regal gets the offense in on RVD early, using his cheap tactics to get an edge. It doesn't last long enough to have much of an impact, but RVD avoid a Knee Trembler and starts to come out ahead. He kicks the brass knuckles out of Regal's hand and then roundhouses him to the mat. It ends with a Five Star Frog Splash to crown a new champion to kick off the night.

WWF European Championship in a 6-Pack Challenge
Diamond Dallas Page (C) vs. Christian vs. Edge vs. Booker T vs. Lance Storm vs. Rikishi
Winner: Booker T at 12:40
Result: With these six men each having their own feud with other opponents, they spend a lot of fighting them. There ARE separate encounters, mostly with the heels teaming up against their face counterparts. Things come to a head when Rikishi gets Lance set up for a Stink Face. He goes for it, but Christian blasts him with the European Title, taking the big man out of the ring. Christian and Lance celebrate for a moment until they are BOTH simultaneously Speared by Edge. Booker rushes in and hits a Book End on Edge. Booker wastes some time and nails his Spinaroonie, and it lasts just long enough for DDP to go for a Diamond Cutter. However, being well versed in the move, Booker shoves him away into a Spear by Edge. Booker sends Edge out of the ring and hits a Scissors Kick to Page to seal the victory.
------------------
After a quick sight of Christian having a tantrum and the other competitors expressing disappointment as Booker celebrates, we head backstage where the Hardcore Title participants are already fighting. They fight all the way from the back to the ring where the match begins.
WWF Hardcore Championship
Maven (C) vs. Goldust
Winner: Maven at :13
Result: The match barely gets started and Maven almost immediately ducks a golden trash can lid shot by Goldust. Before too long, Maven rolls up the Bizarre One to seal the victory and retain the title.
After the match, Spike Dudley rushes in and hits a Dudleydog to Maven to steal the title for himself. He doesn't have much time to celebrate before Crash Holly rushes in. They flee to the back.
------------------
We head to the stage where Drowning Pool "tells the story" of the WWF Title match later tonight via a live performance of "Tear Away".
------------------
Once they are done, backstage we get a brief hardcore brawl between Spike, Crash, Al Snow, and The Hurricane which ends with Hurricane swinging in to swoop up the Hardcore Title.
Singles Match
Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Perfect
Winner: Kurt Angle at 15:45
Result: Angle and Perfect have fifteen minutes (by shaving time off the Tag Title match and the Women's Title) to showcase all the talent in the world and they do not disappoint. One could argue even THAT wasn't enough for these two to put on an absolute spectacle. Nevertheless, they use the time they are given to give the crowd a good ol' wrestling match. In the end, Mr. Perfect goes for a Perfect Plex, but finds himself being reversed into an Ankle Lock. Unfortunately for Kurt, that isn't enough. Perfect rolls him up with a victory roll. Alas, Kurt uses the straps of Perfect, both of which were down, and to get back on top. His feet are quickly placed on the ropes for the cheap and dirty win.
------------------
Before the next match, we get a promo showcasing The Undertaker and Flair's story.
No Disqualification Match
The Undertaker vs. Ric Flair
Winner: The Undertaker at 18:47
Result: These two veterans have an old school match focused mainly on brawling and beating each other up. I say old school, but chairs are definitely present in this match. Taker seems to have the edge over Flair, but a timely low blow and an appearance by Arn Anderson evens the odds. Alas, even despite Flair battering Taker with a chair, it's a well timed Chokeslam onto said foreign object and a Tombstone to put away the Nature Boy.
After the match, JR puts specific attention to the fact that Taker is now 10-0 and WrestleMania.
------------------
Before the next match, we go backstage where Hurricane is giving an interview about his recent win of the Hardcore Title. Mighty Molly appears and distracts him long enough to smash him with a frying pan. One pin later and Mighty Molly is our new Hardcore Champ.
After that, a promo is shown showcasing the story heading into the following tag match.
Tag Team Match
The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kane
Winners: Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kane at 9:51
Result: Nash and Hall dish out almost every single trick in the book imaginable in an attempt to get the victory, but the Rattlesnake and the Big Red Monster always have the upper hand. They even try to attack Kane's mask, but even that's not enough for the Outsiders. As Kane deals with Nash at ringside, Austin focuses on Stunning Hall. When one isn't enough to put him down, Stone Cold doubles up and Stunners Hall damn near up into the cheap seats. With Nash on the outside, Hall is defenseless to the cover.
After the match, Kane and Austin are having a beer bash. Austin looks like he's going to Stunner Kane, but a quick fireworks display by the monster seems to hold him back.
------------------
Before the next match, Saliva plays the Dudley Boyz theme song "Turn the Tables" live.
WWF Tag Team Championship in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Tag Match
Billy and Chuck (C) vs. The APA (Bradshaw and Farooq) vs. The Dudley Boyz (D-Von Dudley and Bubba Ray Dudley with Stacy Kiebler) vs. The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy)
Winners: Billy and Chuck at 10:50
Result: The APA are eliminated quickly with a 3D to Bradshaw. After Jeff is distracted by Stacy showcasing her assets and pays for it with a spanking, it's Billy and Chuck who take him out with a Fameasser. Following that, it's D-Von being thrown through misplaced table by Billy and a distracted Bubba succumbing to a shot with the title and a Superkick by Chuck that seals the deal and has the champs retain their title.
------------------
Before the next match, we go backstage where Mighty Molly is trying to flee. Unfortunately, she doesn't get very far before a dutch door slams into her face. With a smirk, Christian takes advantage and pins her to become the new champ.
After that, Drowning Pool performs their version of "The Game" as Triple H comes out.
WWF Undisputed Championship
Chris Jericho (C) with Stephanie McMahon vs. Triple H
Winner: Triple H at 18:41
Result: It's a down and dirty match with Jericho and Steph cheating constantly to get Y2J the advantage. JR, of course, derides this as Jericho is a performer better than this. Alas, it's actually that which is their undoing. With the ref out, Stephanie wants Jericho to hit Hunter with the sledgehammer. A timely low blow, stops that in its tracks and leads to a Pedigree to Stephanie for her troubles. Not long after, Jericho finds himself on the middle turnbuckle. He goes for a crossbody to the Game, but is kicked midair. This leads to the decisive Pedigree and a new Undisputed Champion.
------------------
WWF Women's Championship
Jazz (C) vs. Lita vs. Trish Stratus
Winner: Trish Stratus at 4:16
Result: They don't have much time but they make do with what they've got. Lita missed a moonsault and Jazz goes for it. After a kickout, Jazz grabs the title. She goes for Trish, who ducks. One Chick Kick later and Toronto gets some Stratusfaction and a new hometown champ.
------------------
Before the next match, we go backstage one last time where Christian and Storm are running away towards the car. Lance agrees to take watch as Christian stalls at his cab celebrate. The driver holding the door for Christian suddenly rolls him up to claim the belt. He removes his hat and hood to reveal that it's Maven! Maven hops into the cab and rides off as the new Hardcore Champ as Christian throws yet another tantrum.
After that, we get a promo showcasing the story of Hogan vs. Rock.
Icon vs. Icon, First Time Ever
The Rock vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan
Winner: The Rock at 16:23
Result: Despite Hogan busting out all the heel tricks to get the crowd to hate him, it just didn't work. It took the rest of the nWo coming out to turn the tide and a surprise return of X-Pac and a chair shot to the Brahma Bull to maintain the norm. After a kickout of Hogan's Leg Drop and a "hulk up" by Rock, the Great One dispatches the rest of the nWo and hits a Hogan with a Rock Bottom. He follows it up with a People's Elbow to seal the deal and keep the win.
After the match, Rock goes for a handshake, but is blindsides by the rest of the nWo. They spraypaint those three letters onto Rock's back, ending the show with a Rock victory but a reminder of the poison still spreading.
