Jeff Hardy vs. A-Train
Winner: Jeff Hardy at 5:05
Result: A-Train uses his power in various attempts to get one over on Jeff. Unfortunately, it's actually that power that does him in. A-Train goes for his finisher, the Train Wreck, but Jeff manages to reverse it into a Twist of Fate. Jeff then goes up top and nails a Swanton Bomb to claim his first win on Raw.
Main Card:
(The Triple H vs. Kane is build is replaced by the Triple Threat for the WWE Title with focus on the "angry giant" aspect of Big Show, the "poison" that is Hogan, and the "fallen legend" that is Flair)
Tag Team Turmoil for the World Tag Team Titles
The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) (C) with X-Pac vs. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley and Spike Dudley) vs. 3 Minute Warning (Jamal and Rosey) with Rico vs. Billy and Chuck vs. William Regal and Lance Storm vs. Chris Jericho and Christian
Winners: Chris Jericho and Christian at 10:26
Result: 1. Billy and Chuck start it off against 3 Minute Warning and unfortunately the former's team failures just keep on coming. Chuck goes for a Superkick to Jamal, who ducks. This allows Rosey to hit a Samoan Drop to him. Billy pops in and gets Rosey over the top. When he turns around, he is nailed with a Superkick by Jamal. Jamal then goes up top and hits a Flying Splash to both men at the same time to advance.
2. Bubba and Spike fare better against 3 Minute Warning. Rico tries to get involved, but finds himself being sent to the back by a vengeful Billy and Chuck. This is distraction enough that leads into Jamal being sent from the top rope to the outside. Rosey tries to hit a Samoan Drop to Spike, but a distraction from what's happening with Rico, Billy, and Chuck is enough for Bubba to pop an uppercut right between Rosey's legs. Bubba then hits a Bubba Bomb to Rosey as Spike makes the pin.
3. Things take a nasty turn when Hall takes advantage of a ref distraction to blast Bubba in the head with one of the title belts. This busts Bubba open and leaves him open for an nWo beatdown. Eventually, Nash looks to be going for a Jackknife to end it when Bubba reverses it by landing out on his feet. Nash runs to the ropes and comes back into a 3D by Bubba and Spike. Hall tries to stop it, but can't break it up in time as he's too busy showboating to pay attention. Afterwards, Hall and Nash beat down Bubba and Spike with chairs.
4. Regal and Storm enter in as if it's going to be super easy to net the win. A Power of the Punch to an already wounded Bubba does seem like that might be the case. Unfortunately, it's Spike hitting a Dudleydog to Lance, along with Regal being caught up with a Regal Cutter to the smaller Dudley that is ample distraction for a Bubba Bomb to the UK native to advance.
5. With Spike now nearly completely out and Bubba barely standing and bleeding, Jericho and Christian enter as arrogant as ever. Things look disastrous when the middle rope immediately breaks when Jericho attempts a triangle dropkick to take Spike to the floor. Jericho follows up by kicking Spike in his knees to send him off the apron. Christian hits an Unprettier to Bubba and the ref counts...but Bubba kicks out! Christian gets Bubba up, but the Dudley reverses it into a school boy. Christian gets out of it and hits a reverse DDT to Bubba. He tags in Jericho, who locks in the Walls of Jericho. Bubba manages to fight out of it enough to get to the ropes. With Jericho arguing with the ref, Regal makes himself known once again to blast Bubba in the face with another Power of the Punch. A now wounded Bubba is placed into the center of the ring to allow Y2J to hit a Top Rope Moonsault that nets him and his partner the win.

Before the next match (and to allow them to fix the ropes), Funaki, SmackDown's #1........announcer, gets an exclusive interview with Al Wilson, Torrie Wilson's father and Dawn Marie's fiancé. When Funaki inquires onto what is going through Al's mind as his wedding approaches, Al is very nervous. Before he can get a word out, Jamie Noble and Nidia interrupt. They let Al know that he should hook up with a real woman like Nidia not those Barbie dolls like Dawn. They even bring up his daughter which causes him to almost go off on Jamie until Dawn pops in. She says that Al can attest firsthand that Dawn is enough of a woman for him. And tonight, her client Tajiri will be enough of a man for Jamie Noble. And to answer Funaki's question, Dawn tells him that Al is just nervous because he's never gotten married to somebody in their underwear before. This gets Al excited before Dawn leads him away. Nidia asks Jamie when they'll get married in their underwear. Jamie slithers away without answering. Nidia notices he's gone before calling for him and making chase.
We then go to ringside where Michael Cole and Tazz bring up Test's immunity from last year and that it ends in a month. We then get a video package that details how this match came to be.
Kane vs. Test
Winner: Test at 10:10
Result: These two powerhouses go at it for a bit but it's defined by how much off-the-mat they end up doing. Between Test's Flying Elbow and Kane's Flying Clothesline, the two end up looking more on the turnbuckles than they do on the mat. In fact, things really culminate when Kane has Test in a choke whilst the former is on the top rope and the latter is on the middle rope. Test flails his arms and "accidentally" brushes the ref to the mat. Test takes his time to kick Kane down low. Test then presses Kane off the top rope. He rests a bit before hitting a Big Boot to Kane once he rises. With the ref now recovered, Test hooks the leg and scores the win.
After the match, Test grabs a chair and looks like he's going to break Kane's neck with it when he wraps it around his head. Test points to the rope and approaches it. He's stopped when Kane's fire goes off. Test turns around and sees Kane sitting up. He then flees the ring as Kane takes the chair off. Test is scared but smiles at his victory as Kane just stares on.

Before the next match, we go backstage where Jonathan Coachman is giving an interview with Rob Van Dam. Coach brings up RVD's title defense coming up next. RVD talks about how he's not like a lot of the other guys in the match. He's not a rich blue blood like Triple H. RVD is okay with rental cars and flying coach, no offense to Jon intended. RVD isn't like X-Pac in that he fights all of his problems head-on and uses his recreational activities to his advantage (which gets a pop). He certainly isn't like Booker T and before RVD can even get started, Booker pops in and says that RVD ain't NOTHIN like Booker. Booker's a 5 time World Champion. RVD is the last fluke of an ECW Champion. Booker is a bonafied, certified superstar. RVD is a cat makin the IC Title his own. The big difference between them is that Booker can take it to the nWo whilst RVD lets the nWo take it to him. RVD says that there's no beef between them and that tonight the nWo is going to be a problem. RVD respects that Booker is looking to stop both Hunter and Pac from winning, but knows that if Booker stands in his way, he has no problem taking him down just like Triple H last month. Booker agrees and tells Rob that if things go his way, they won't even meet in that ring because the nWo will be too busy runnin away scared. RVD adds on that they will stand no chance against Rob--Van--Dam. Booker adds on with a can you dig that......sucka?
WWE Intercontinental Title in a Fatal 4-Way Match
Rob Van Dam (C) vs. Triple H vs. X-Pac vs. Booker T
Winner: Rob Van Dam at 9:59
Result: As he said, Booker is much more focused on making sure neither Hunter nor X-Pac walk away the champion. He doesn't even bother breaking up RVD's pinfalls on the third man out. Things take a nosedive for the plan when Booker goes for a Book End to Triple H through the Spanish announce table but a low by X-Pac breaks that up. Triple H then hits a Pedigree onto Booker through the table. The two of them than focus on RVD, double teaming him with Triple H getting all the pinfall attempts. Rob manages to kick out of all of them despite the abuse he's suffering. Trips eventually grabs his sledgehammer, during which X-Pac attempts to pin Rob. Hunter pulls Pac off and the two start arguing. Eventually, Pac turns around, going for Rob when Triple H raises the sledgehammer as if to hit him, but Booker drags him out of the ring and starts to brawl. Booker takes Trips over the barricade and into the crowd. During that, Pac--completely unaware--goes for an X-Factor, but RVD reverses it into a roundhouse and a spin kick. RVD then jumps to the top and hits a Five Star Frog Splash to seal the victory and keep his title.
After the match, whilst RVD is celebrating, Booker and Triple H are seen being held apart by security as the latter flees.

Before the next match, we go backstage where we see Big Show talking to Stephanie. Show makes it clear that tonight he gets what he wants, but his options are still open. Stephanie says that she would be happy to have Big Show on SmackDown! should he desire to do so. Eric Bischoff pops in and wonders what the hell is going on. Stephanie leaves and tells Show to think about it. Eric gets pissed and tells him that he got what he wanted and all it cost him was a position of respect and favor with the Raw GM. Eric starts laying into Show before telling him that he hopes he loses tonight so that everybody can see that Big Show is nothing but a failure. Show then grabs Eric by the neck and tells him that his threat from a while back hasn't changed. The more Eric talks, the more Show wants to writhe him by his neck. Show tells Eric that he is an unstoppable giant and that nobody can tell him what to do...including Eric. He then says that win or lose tonight...Stephanie has made a great offer for Show. And who knows...maybe the WWE Title will find itself back on SmackDown! and Eric will be the one without a World Title. He then shoves Eric back into some food carts before walking off. Eric stares off, holding his throat and trying to regain his composure.
WWE Cruiserweight Title in a Fatal 4-Way Match
Jamie Noble (C) with Nidia vs. Tajiri with Dawn Marie vs. Billy Kidman with Torrie Wilson vs. The Hurricane
Winner: Jamie Noble at 8:15
Result: With these four Cruiserweights in the ring, it really wasn't going to take much for things to break down. Hurricane hits a splash from the top rope onto both Tajiri and Noble whilst Billy follows that up with a springboard Shooting Star Press onto the trio. Tajiri and Billy take some time to fight inside the ring one-on-one. Billy hits a BK Bomb from the top rope to the Japanese Buzzsaw and looks like that might actually be it, but a Dawn Marie distraction is enough to stop Billy from getting the win. From there, Torrie and Dawn start having a catfight outside of the ring until Al Wilson comes out to break it up. He comforts both women before telling them to leave. Tajiri is confused enough until Billy hits another BK Bomb. He then goes for a Shooting Star Press, but is interrupted by a Superplex by Hurricane. The superhero then hits a Chokeslam to Tajiri. A Nidia distraction allows the ref to miss the pin and lets Noble hit a Tiger Bomb to Hurricane to claim the victory that Billy just misses breaking up.
------------------
Before the next match, we go backstage where Benoit calls out for Eddie. Chris tells him that Angle is attacking Chavo. The two rush over to the door but Eddie stops and realizes it's a set-up because he literally just did this to Kurt. When you can hear Chavo's cries for help, Eddie even calls Benoit out. It sounds nothing like him because it's clearly a little girl's voice! Eventually, the door bursts open and Chavo hits the floor, dazed and out of it. Eddie is confused as Kurt walks out, a smirk on his face. Eddie goes nuts and starts to attack Kurt before a couple of agents intercede.
Following that, JR and King talk about the upcoming Triple Threat Match and about how each man has something to prove when it comes to the WWE Title. We then get a video package which goes into more detail on it.
WWE Title in a Triple Threat Match
Hollywood Hulk Hogan (C) vs. Ric Flair vs. Big Show
Winner: Hollywood Hulk Hogan at 10:13
Result: This match is a lot of Show taking it to Flair while Hogan watches from ringside. Eventually, a timely kick to the balls takes Show down and allows Flair some time on top. When Hogan tries to get involved, Flair breaks up his attack on Show to lock him into a Figure 4. Eventually, Show starts choking Flair and hits a Chokeslam only to find an eye poke for his troubles. Flair then chop blocks Show for a bit and focuses on the giant's legs. Flair, with some effort, locks in a Figure 4 onto Show. Show screams in agony but doesn't tap. When Show goes for the ropes, Hogan runs in and blasts him in the face with the WWE Title. He then hits the ropes and nails a Running Leg Drop on Flair whilst he's still in the Figure 4. Flair lets go, but Hogan hooks the Nature Boy's leg and retains title.
------------------
Before the next match, we go backstage where Stephanie McMahon is watching Hogan retain his WWE Title on her TV. She shuts it off when somebody knocks. She lets them in and it's revealed to be Tracie, the woman claiming to have slept with Undertaker whilst he was married to Sara. Stephanie apologizes for kicking her out of the arena on the last SmackDown!, but sympathizes with her woman-to-woman. I mean, she has to work in the same company as her ex-husband. She had to watch her father cheat on her mother with another woman live in TV. Steph implores Tracie that she's doing this because she loves Undertaker, right? Tracie denies this and says she can't stand the ground "that bastard walks on." When Steph pries further, Tracie says that she was content move on until she got a call from Paul, who apparently knew about her and Undertaker. Steph understands and then "asks" her if all that stuff about her and Undertaker 10 days ago and sleeping with him whilst married to Sara was a lie...right? It was all Paul...right? She confirms it, all confidentially. She doesn't care about some pregnant wife Sara, she wants Undertaker back. Steph nods up and we zoom out to see Undertaker looking on. He comments "confidentially...you're a lying bitch" which gets a pop because of course it does. Undertaker thanks Steph before heading out and that he owes her one. Steph tells Tracie that she's told her last lie before telling her to get the hell out. She, naturally, complies.
We then go to ringside where Michael Cole and Tazz go over the upcoming match. We then get a video package detailing the WWE Tag Team Title tournament.
Inaugural WWE Tag Team Championship
Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle vs. Edge and Rey Mysterio
Winners: Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle at 20:03
Result: Holy hell what a match. There's action happening constantly with double team moves mixed with constant wrestlers making themselves known. It doesn't even seem like it'll end until Mysterio hits a moonsault from the top rope down onto Benoit on the outside. This leaves Edge and Angle in the ring. These two are used to each other so Edge reversed an Angle Slam into an Edgecution. Angle reverses that into a belly to belly Suplex. Kurt goes for a moonsault, but Edge dodges. Edge goes for a Spear, but Angle clips him mid-run and locks in the Ankle Lock. Edge tries for the ropes, but Angle drags him back. Eventually, Edge is forced to tap, crowning Angle and Benoit as the new Tag Team Champions.
------------------
Before the next match, we get an interview with Trish Stratus, who tells the world that her black-haired stalker is woman by the name of Victoria. The two of them used to be friends when they came up in the modeling industry together, but they really stopped talking after Trish was signed by the WWE. Trish says that maybe she was a bad friend, but she's changed a lot and hopes that Victoria, too, can change for the better. She hopes that they'll be able to hash it out if need be and that Victoria and her can be friends again.
After that, we go to the EMT's room where Undertaker is being given a shot of morphine for his broken hand. It's not ethical and the doctor doesn't wanna do it, but Undertaker intimidates him to do so.
We then cut to ringside where the Lumberjills are already present: Ivory, Jackie Gayda, Jacqueline, Stacy Kiebler, Terri Runnels, Dawn Marie, Torrie Wilson, and Nidia. Torrie and Dawn are kept separate for obvious reasons.
WWE Women's Title in a Triple Threat Lumberjill Match
Trish Stratus (C) vs. Molly Holly vs. Jazz
Winner: Trish Stratus at 5:31
Result: Molly and Jazz team up for a minute or so until Molly tosses Jazz out. Molly goes for the pin but Trish kicks out. Jazz comes back in and starts to beat on Molly. Eventually, Jazz goes for a Powerbomb that is reversed into a modified Molly Go Round. Trish breaks it up and starts getting back into it. Eventually, Jazz goes for another Powerbomb to Molly who reverses it into a hurricanrana over the top onto a pile of the women at ringside. Molly comes back in and takes a Chick Kick to have Trish retain.
After the match, Trish is celebrating until Victoria enters the ring through the crowd given the women are still out on the outside. The two shake hands and hug...until Victoria frowns and blasts Trish with a clothesline. Victoria starts beating on Trish for a bit before exiting and grabbing a chair. Trish takes a bit before standing and taking a chair to the face, busting her open. Victoria grabs the Women's Title and taunts it whilst laying on Trish and yelling in her face. Eventually, security and refs come in to get Victoria out of there.
------------------
Before the next match, we go down to The World where Rikishi and Diamond Dallas Page--one of SmackDown's newest tag teams--give an interview on their past Hell in a Cell matches with The Undertaker. We get a replay of Undertaker's Chokeslam to Riksihi off the cell and his Last Ride to Page from the side of the structure through the Spanish announce table. Both men admit that in that match The Undertakers scares them and that even with a broken hand, you can't count out the Deadman when you're locked inside that structure.
We then head back to ringside where Cole and Tazz lead us into a video package that plays telling us how we got to this match to crown a new World Champion.
Hell in a Cell for the Inaugural World Heavyweight Championship
Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman vs. The Undertaker
Winner: Brock Lesnar at 27:18
Result: What a vicious match. Undertaker dominates it for a good while using his cast that, again, busts Brock open. Even Heyman gets busted open after sticking his arm into the cell to try and help. The distraction is all Brock needed to slam him into the cell. Brock then has Paul keep Undertaker's broken hand in a noose whilst Brock batters it and rebreaks it with a chair. The cast comes off soon after and it's easy pickings for Brock. Undertaker gets a few more shots in but Brock uses his power to really maintain control. Of course, the steel steps to the face doesn't help matters as it causes a wound on Undertaker's head that leaves him gushing and his face completely crimson within a minute. Brock keeps on top for a bit until Undertaker starts to batter Brock with right hands and a Chokeslam. Undertaker, too dazed to cover, instead lumbers around a bit. This allows Brock to hit a powerslam that takes the Deadman down. Brock then starts taunting the Phenom and goes for a Last Ride that Undertaker gets out of. Brock goes for an F5, but Undertaker reverses it into another Chokeslam with Brock reverses into a DDT. Brock gets Undertaker into the corner and starts punching him in his wound. After some taunting to the crowd, Undertaker sets him up and hits a Last Ride. Brock gets a hand on the bottom rope though. Undertaker hits a second Chokeslam and goes for a Tombstone. However, Brock manages to reverse it into an F5 that keeps The Undertaker down.
After the match, Brock grabs his new shiny, big gold World Heavyweight Title before climbing the cell with it to pose to the crowd.
