Changing The Business, This Time For Real (AEW Report)

NOTES:
AEW Dynamite clocked in a 2.47 TV Rating, making it the highest ever bump (+0.83) in consecutive weeks on a TNT broadcast!

The live crowd in attendance were shown 3 dark matches - 2 Six Wo/Men Tags, and a local talent squashed by La Conquistadora Killer Kelly. The tag matches were viewed by many as talent evaluation of sorts, which could hint at some further roster changes.



In the opening segment of the broadcast, Jake "The Snake" Roberts spoke about "monsters" in wrestling, whether he was talking about actual wrestlers such as his own protégé Lance Archer or some more deep self issues is debatable. Before he could finish his words, Archer's opponent in next week's special "May the 4th" Edition of Dynamite Luchasaurus interrupted him and went face to face with the TNT Champion!

Taz warned the entire locker room of his client, "The Machine" Brian Cage, stating that in his path to dominance, you either move away, or face the consequences! His client then went on to defeat Colt Cabana in under 5 minutes, then beat up the veteran, putting his words into action!

In her Dynamite Debut, "Smiley" Kylie Rae was just a few femtoseconds away from putting down Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., but The Doc was able to turn it around and used some underhanded tactics to win by using the ropes for leverage.
Kris Statlander came to Rae's aid as Baker was the aggressor after the match, teasing us of next week's matchup between Kris and Baker!

Once again, Tully Blanchard was acting suspiciously, avoiding Marvez's questions about his mystery calls, choosing to instead talk about his past with Arn Anderson.

SCU and The Private Party had an explosive tag team bout, where it was the experience of SCU which prevailed. But the most interesting part of the match came right after, as SCU were celebrating their victory, something came up on the titantron...
Filmed from an undisclosed location under the arena, it is the AEW World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley calling out The Dark Order, and specifically Mr. Brodie Lee. Mox is reminding us of the history between him and Lee, about how he used to respect him, but not anymore, not when he's hiding behind some goons. In fact, he says he'll take them out one by one if he has to in order to get a fair fight from The Exalted One.

The Inner Circle welcomed its newest member, after a few minutes of being, well, obnoxious, who is none other than Tenille Dashwood! They then went on to mock Best Friends prior to Jericho's match against Orange Cassidy.
The match itself was closer than anyone could expect, as Jericho underestimated OC's abilities and resilience. It wasn't before Tenille kicked OC in his special region while Jericho distracted referee Bryce Remsburg that the 30 year veteran could get the 3 count.

Death Triangle made some comments about Hangman Adam Page's injury in his match against PAC last week, calling him "weak" and claiming they're not done with taking people out!
It was then announced that if Page doesn't come back in time for Double or Nothing, the AEW World Tag Team Titles will be VACATED!

In the main event of the evening we saw the #1 contenders match for said tag titles, which, if Page isn't back in time for to defend, the winners of this match will be crowned as Interim Champions!
But all of this didn't matter, as after 30 minutes of world class tag team wrestling between two of the best duos in history, time ran out, and no victors were decided! As we signed off Tony Schiavone was wondering what that could mean for the tag belts, and that we probably will have all the answers, NEXT WEEK on TNT!
