Now we have to endure another four bloody months of Roman and his same old schtick while his list of credible challengers grows smaller everyday. They’ve basically buried half the roster over the last two years just to push him. And I’m sick of it. |

I’m not surprised, Cody went to AEW and hurt both Vince and Triple He’s ego and he’s being punished. |

In theory Cody vs Dominick is a fantastic idea. A very popular babyface vs a very hated heel. Cody shuts him up (temporarily) and the crowd pop.
In reality it smacks of "What can we come up with this month, to keep Cody and Roman apart because it's not time for the rematch yet?" By survivor series is he going to be feuding with Stan, the guy who got super kicked by HBK some years back and who is now back for revenge on wrestling?
I feel this is all leading up to them having Cody win from number 1 in the 2024 Rumble so when he finally beats Roman at Wrestlemania XXXL, he has 'earned' both the title and his Wrestlemania moment and it has the the bonus of continuing the tradition of cool first time major moments being on every Mania ending in a 0.
I was pretty much done with the 'story' when he lost at WM 39 and by WM 40 I'll be so well done with the whole Cody vs Roman thing it'll be the equivalent of burnt and charred steak you throw in the trash.

I just thought of something else.
What if Cody does go to the Royal Rumble, starting at no 1 and almost goes the distance, just to get screwed out of the Rumble win by Roman Reigns and then a heel wins the Rumble and challenges for the Rollins memorial belt, leaving Roman without a no 1 contender? This could then mean Cody has to win the elimination chamber from no 1 to get his title shot.
It just seems so Vince McMahon-like to have that swerve and milk Cody finally earning another shot at Roman for yet another agonising month. I can see him thinking it'll add even more heat to Roman and make us beg for Cody's victory all the more.
The problem is, the more swerves and twists along the journey and the longer it takes for us to get to the ultimate pay-off, there'll be less and less of us left to care by the end. So if they actually are going to drag this out for that long, by January they'll need to throw people a bone by having him win it again to hopefully keep them happy enough to wait until Mania.

As much as I love even late stage Rey Mysterio holding gold, is him winning the US title for any reason other than to have Escobar turn heel on him to take it?

So, after constant misuse after misuse of Bray Wyatt, he unexpectedly passed away.
Just another reason I absolutely loathe that company.
