Original Match: The Super Destroyers (Doug Stahl/AJ Petrucci) vs. EZ Rider/HD Rider
New Match: Tony Stetson/JT Smith vs. Chris Candido/Tommy Cairo
JT Smith: 1-0
Chris Candido: 0-1
My gripe here is that they start off with the reigning tag champions in a title defense on a new show without showing us their journey to winning the belts or what happened prior to that, so I have to go dig that up myself if I’m just tuning in. So I would rather start with a match that gets talent some screen time so the viewers can familiarize themselves with the roster more. Although I think at this time Candido was fairly well known so I’d like to start with him putting somebody over.
