Four men sat in a room to discuss the future of professional wrestling. The sport was dying with fans finding matches ending too quickly or just not being that entertaining. These four men sought to change that. They could see potential with an idea. What if all the matches were rigged? The matches scripted to maximise drama with wrestlers yelling out to the local crowds to hype them up. The American Chris Meadows was the man who had penned the idea and the atmosphere was very uncertain. Sir Edward Oakley, a British Wrestling booking who had sailed all the way down from England, was trying to work out how they stop this information from being leaked to the public as there would almost certainly be an outcry if they found out.
Sorakichi Matsuda, representative of the struggling Japanese scene was question how they make sure the men keep their word. Salvador Lutteroth who'd come up from Mexico seemed fully in agreement. His scene was probably going to be the toughest to deal with, although apparently he had this idea of making the show more acrobatic.
Doubtful that will catch on in Mexico though, the people aren't going to buy it and it'll probably never work, but honestly with the state of the Mexican wrestling scene, he might as well try.
After hours of working out all the details we'd all sorted out how things were going down and eventually everyone agreed. Could rigging a whole entire sport across the work ever become a successful idea. Probably not honestly.

This was the day Chris Meadows showed up at my door. We'd already know each other for years but it was still a surprise. I was struggling over writing latest novel, in the hopes that maybe this one would finally get me a worthwhile profit. Chris explained the situation to me and I was confused. He wanted me, to rig an entertain wrestling show in a way specifically to keep people entertained?! The man was crazy, particularly when I found out my salary would be $500. I didn't expect this to work, but there was no way I was turning down money like that, particularly considering it allowed me to do what I'd always wanted to, just not in the way I'd thought.

The various men and women of the roster had all arrived in Boston, where we would start our journey, with the big show Catch as Catch Can. I'd got to meet them as was taking the time now to find out many of their histories, how the public viewed them and where they were going to slot into my plans, many men, including the likes of Viro Small (better known as Black Sam) and Colonel JH McLaughlin has come out of retirement for the sole purpose of helping us establish this. Wrestling had been their livelihoods for many years after all, so they were willing to do one last tour to try and build this company up.
So hey guys, this is based on a JoW save I'm doing using the Dawn of Wrestling Scenario. It's an amazing scenario, created to allow you to play all the way through the history of wrestling, from the greats of the 1900s right up to the wrestlers in the modern era. Before I properly start this diary though there are two options and I want to see which one you guys would like to see.
1) I start a new save in the new updated version. This includes extra wrestlers to join the save in the future and fixes a major error in which one women in Japan (who unfortunately starts off as world champion) was accidentally destroying the title's history in the process (as the title only switches onto men). This would however mean I lose my initial 3 months of work (not too much mind you and I can use a lot of the same stuff I was doing) and so the first update may take longer.
2) I continue this diary and log my save, including the stuff that has already happened. Initial updates will likely be quicker, but the save itself might not be as good if I make it to the long term. Japan will also have no women's title.
I've put a poll up to vote on which will show me the answers after 4 days. Until then I'll probably stick up a roster introduction (I don't think this is going to be changing) somewhere in between.
