Instead of the usual opening the show starts with Arn Anderson’s theme, as “The Enforcer” makes his way to the ring

Arn: Hi everybody, and welcome to WCW Monday Nitro! Now, if you saw the announcement on WCW.com you know why I’m here, and that is to adress the ongoing situation between Finlay and Terry Funk. So I’d like to ask both men to come out here, as well as Animal and Shane Douglas. What I have to say should interest all of you.

The Old Country come out and Funk immediately grabs a mic, not looking very pleased to see Arn Anderson
Funk: Yeah yeah, I saw your little announcement. But the truth is, I don’t really care about that Irish idiot. It should be obvious to everyone that he doesn’t have the pedigree to be the US champion. This title is mine! I know, you know, and everyone here knows that he shouldn’t have won it in the first place! I should’ve won that match! So I made things right, and now this belt is where belongs. Finlay doesn’t deserve a title shot, and unless you’re here to say exactly that you can go back to Bischoff and keep pretending you’re running this show.
As Funk finishes talking, Animal and Douglas step between Funk and Anderson, glaring menacingly at the management’s chosen spokesperson.

That’s when Fit Finlay’s theme hits and the Irishman comes out looking pissed off and with his trusty shillellagh in hand. However, Arn motions for him to stop and Finlay stays in the stage area, looking at Arn and The Old Country in the ring.
Arn: Now now boys, let’s calm down a bit, shall we? Because in case you’ve forgotten, I’m not an active competitor here in WCW and my role here is as management’s
representative. So if you get your hands on me, it’s not gonna go well for you.
Now Terry, I’m afraid you’re gonna leave here disappointed because management’s opinion is a little diferente from yours. You see, Fit never lost that title. Instead, he was forced to vacate it due to injury. So, now that he’s been cleared to compete, it’s only fair that he has a shot at getting in back. So that will happen at Halloween Havoc.
But you see, we’re not stupid, and we know there’s a high chance your two pals wil try to get involved. Which is why we’re gonna keep them busy. Animal, Shane, while Terry and Fit have their match I suggest you two have a good shower, because you’ll be having a match yourselves just before. You’ll be defending your Tag titles against two men that have beaten you before, Dusty and Dustin Rhodes!
Funk: Ok, that’s enough! You can’t do that Anderson!
Arn: Oh I can, and I just did! But Terry, you shouldn’t think I’m doing this to spite you. In fact, I’ll do both you and Fit a favor. I know this between you two is personal, you don’t wanna have a wrestling match, you wanna fight, so we decided we might as well let you. The US Title match at Halloween Havoc is gonna be a Sin City street fight!
Billy Kidman vs Jimmy Yang vs Shannon Moore

The opening match of the night is a fast paced encounter. However, It’s not long until the presence of the three men’s allies causes some disturbance at ringside and they’re promptly thrown out by the referee. The match finish would see Kidman hit his Springboard Bulldog on Moore, only to get taken out by an enzuigiri from Yang that sent him tumbling out of the ring. The Yung Dragons member would then connect with his signature high angle Moonsault Press for the pin on Moore, and award one of the members of his team a shot at AJ Styles’ Cruiserweight title.
Winner: Jimmy Yang Rating: 3.25 stars
After the break, cameras show Arn Anderson backstage talking to some of the crew, as one member points to the other side of the corridor to spot a well known face-painted guy walking towards “The Enforcer”

Sting: Hey Arn, you got a minute?
Anderson motions for the crew members to move along, and then turns to Sting
Arn: Alright, what is it?
Sting: Look, I need you to put in a word with management about something.
Arn: What do you want, a title shot? You know we already gave it to Booker, right?
Sting: No no, nothing like that. I’ve been around long enough to know that right now I’m not in a position to ask for that anyway.
Arn: Well, what is it?
Sting: I guess you saw what happened at Fall Brawl?
Arn: Ah, that. Yeah yeah, I saw.
Sting: Arn, I had him. I made one mistake, and he got me. Arn, I… I need another match with him. I need to beat Mike Awesome. I know I can beat him, I have to beat him!
Arn: Steve, look. I’ve known you for a long time, and I can tell when your pride is hurt. But last I heard, Mike is done with you. Hell, he’s not even here tonight, he said he’d go meet up with his “camp” or something. I don’t even know where he went.
Sting: Well, I guess I’ll have to find him, right?
Arn: Look, don’t do anything for now, ok? I’ll talk to Eric and the guys, and we’ll talk to his guys and see if we can work something out, alright? But I can’t promise you anything.
Sting: Alright alright. But if your way doesn’t work, I’ll have to go with my way. And I don’t need to tell you what way you prefer.
Sting walks off, and Arn looks concerned as the cameras cut back to the ring.
Chris Kanyon and Mamalukes vs Big Hoss Inc.
i.imgur.com/TGz3W7r.png i.imgur.com/3R6FkyA.png i.imgur.com/fllJkFE.png
Kanyon, Bull and Vito would put up a good fight, getting an especially excited reaction from the crowd when Johnny hit a very impressive Press Slam on Bam Bam. But the three behemoths known as Big Hoss Inc. would eventually put their opponents away quite convincingly, with the rookie Bob Sapp hitting a stiff looking powerbomb on Big Vito for the win.
Winners: Big Hoss Inc. Rating: 2.25 stars
Once the show returns from break we are greeted with a familiar rap song, the crowd giving a rauckus reaction as one of their favorite stars heads to the ring

Booker: Ever since I lost the World Heavyweight title almost a year ago it feels like something has been missing. I miss the weight of that Big Gold around my waist. Y’all remember the way I lost it too, after a steel chair and a damn straightjacket. And last Marcha t Greed I had a chance to get it back, only for Rick Steiner to come sniffing around and then another freaking steel chair! Then at Fall Brawl I had Ric Flair beat, only for my knee to buckle and Steiner to take advantage. Well, at Halloween Havoc I have anothere chance. There’ll be none of that dumb steel cage straightjacket bullshit. Tthere’ll be no Rick Steiner bullshit either, I’ll make sure of that. And it’s one on one, so no Ric Flair bullshit. I guess I still have to watch for the chairs, but I don’t think that’s too much to handle considering what I’ve been through. Now Scott, I have a fair chance and I’m not gonna waste it. When we meet in Vegas, I’ll take back that title, and I’ll become a 4 time, 4 time, 4 time, 4 time, World Champion!
We then hear the sound of clapping and a distinctive laugh, as Scott Steiner comes out, microfone in hand
i.imgur.com/Bh3Ws12.png
Steiner: Ya know Book, I was sittin’ in the back and hearin’ you talk all that crap about chances, so lemme tell ya what ya chances really are! You see Book, normally when you go one on one with another wrestler, you got a 50/50 chance of winnin’. But I’m a genetic freak, and I’m not normal, so you got a 25% chance AT BEST, at beatin’ me! And then you add our history into the mix, and your chances of winnin’ drastically go down! I beat you to win this title, and I beat you to keep it! So Book, the numbers don’t lie, the facts don’t lie, and they spell disaster for you, at Halloween Havoc! In Las Vegas, you got NO chance!
Jeff Jarrett vs Chris Jericho
i.imgur.com/dqGlGPq.png i.imgur.com/lGcuiay.png
As expected, this was a competitive match between two men with high ambitions. Both men would trade momentum back and forth in the early stages of the match, fighting both in and out of the ring. As the match would get into higher gear, Jericho would climb the turnbuckles to go for a high risk maneuver on Jarrett. However, “Double
J” would rush after “Lionheart” on the top rope, delivering a big Superplex. With the two competitors down, the broadcast would cut to one of the backstage cameras…

IT’S GOLDBERG! Goldberg is back, and he’s making his way to the ring! The crowd erupts as “Da Man” makes his way to the ring, staring a hole through Jeff Jarrett. Goldberg would get in the ring, but as he goes for a Spear on his rival, Jarrett avoids in and he hits Jericho. The bells rings match is awarded to the Canadian via disqualification, and he slides out of the ring clutching his ribs. Jarrett would take advantage of the confusion to go out of the ring and grab his guitar, but as he goes to hit Goldberg from behind, the powerhouse quickly turns around and hits a devastating Spear, followed by a raging roar and a Jackhammer! The crowd goes wild as Goldberg’s music plays to end the show, however one camera catches Jericho glaring at the returning star, and he does not look happy with his interference.
Winner: Chris Jericho Rating:2.5 stars
Predictions:
Asaemon - 2/3
Mike Haggar - 1/3
Hope you all enjoy the show. Next Nitro will come in a different form, with topics and highlights, as I try to figure out which one I prefer
