My goal with this diary is to captivate the readers with the most realistic possible portrayal of the ensemble that will be featured in this diary. I've already written out quite a few events, and I believe this diary may turn into something special for me. I hope you guys enjoy this diary, taking TNA from the 05 Spike Launch and running with a blank slate. I look forward to sharing this diary with all of you! Enjoy the first episode of TNA Impact.

TNA Impact - October 1, 2005

LIVE FROM THE IMPACT ZONE ON SPIKE TV!

The New Face of Professional Wrestling goes LIVE on SPIKE TV for the first time with Don West and Mike Tenay promising an action packed night for the TNA viewers. Tenay lets the fans at home know that not open do we open with the X Division Championship on the line, we close the night with an NWA World Heavyweight Championship match. Packed somewhere in between that, we will get to see Monty Brown and Sabu square off. Don West urges Tenay not to forget that apparently, Raven and Larry Zbysko have found a solution to their differences! Without further adieu, the first match in TNA on SPIKE history arrives.

'The Phenomenal' AJ Styles vs. Chris Sabin vs. Sonjay Dutt - TNA X Division Championship

The first match to be broadcasted on the NEW TNA will be homegrown talent and X Division Champion AJ Styles defending his belt against two exciting members of the most exciting division in professional wrestling. Sabin and Dutt are already seen in the ring as we hear the familiar “I Am, I Am” theme song of AJ Styles come across the PA system. AJ makes his entrance with a smile on his face and his Championship on his waist. You wouldn’t think he is about to go into a Triple Threat title defense if you were going off appearance. As AJ enters the ring, Dutt bolts for him and floors AJ with a drop kick. The bell would sound and chaos ensued. Sabin joins forces with Dutt and the two take turns landing hard chops, kicks, and punches on Styles. The one we call Phenomenal is visibly worn down when Sabin takes the attack to Dutt. A stiff back suplex from Chris led to Sabin exiting to the apron before landing a Springboard Tornado DDT on Sonjay! Styles gets to his feet and Sabin attempts a hurricanrana with a running start on Styles that leads to Styles perfectly countering and trapping Sabin before landing the Styles Clash for the three count. AJ Styles successfully defends his X Division Championship in the official opener for TNA Impact on SPIKE TV!

3D is Coming For the Gold

The camera cuts to a video of Brother Ray and Devon in a dark room, surrounded by construction debris. The camera would cut in and out of the faces of both Ray and Devon, while showing the destruction Team 3D has left behind them everywhere they’ve gone. The brothers voice over the video, vowing to add TNA Tag Team gold to their mantles and promising not to have mercy on anyone who may be in their way. Devon closes with saying that if the TNA tag team division has anything to say about that, he has no problem getting the tables.

Not One… Not Two… But the 3Live Krew!

Cameras re-enter the arena and see Ron Killings, BG James and Konnan backstage being interviewed by Shane Douglas. BG opens the interview by introducing themselves as “Not One, Not Two, But the 3… Live… Crew. Konnan quickly takes the mic and proceeds to put the TNA roster on notice, saying that Ron, BG and himself have an issue with a stable known as Team Canada. Killings takes over the mic and promises that by the time the 3Live Krew is done with Team Canada, they’re going to be eating through tubes. 3Live Krew promptly walks away as the camera zooms into the corner of the corridor, seeing Kip James watching unseen from a distance.

'The Alpha-Male' Monty Brown vs. Sabu

We cut to see the entrances of the Alpha-Male Monty Brown and the legendary Sabu. The crowd is split for Monty while it is straight cheers, as per usual, for Sabu. Sabu gets the early advantage as Brown looked for a POUUUUNCE off the bat, instead being floored by a Springboard Leg Lariat. A camel clutch allowed Sabu the time to consider his next move prior to quickly rolling out and grabbing a chair. The referee shouts as this fight is NOT a no disqualification bout and Sabu could be in trouble. Instead, Sabu opens the chair and sets it down near the corner Monty is now finding his footing in. Sabu runs for the chair and attempts Air Sabu only to be caught by the Alpha-Male and launched halfway across the six-sided ring, landing on his back. Sabu quickly finds his feet only to eat multiple clotheslines from an adrenaline-filled Monty Brown. Monty then secures a running powerslam and looks to be setting up for the POUNCE. As Sabu stands, Brown takes off running only to have his head and body pushed by Sabu at the last second, sending Brown to the other set of ring ropes as Sabu attempted to springboard for a leg lariat similar to the beginning of the match, but MONTY BROWN USES HIS RUNNING START AND HITS POUNCE ON SABU IN MIDAIR! The crowd explodes at the impact of that one, and the Alpha-Male is victorious!

Quoth the Raven, Nevermore

We return from a commercial break to see the camera zoomed in on a pair of boots, visibly being worn by a man in jean shorts and knee pads. A few moments pass, and a red liquid starts to drip at increasing intensity until the man, only visible from the knees down, walks off. Only then does the camera zoom in on an identifiable yet hidden Larry Zbysko, beaten, bloodied and unconscious in some area backstage. Paramedics quickly round the corner and the situation looks gravely serious. As the cameraman tries to get a better shot of Zbysko, only managing to get a split-second shot of Larry when he was turned over by the EMT’s. On Zbysko’s chest was written in black ink, “Quoth the Raven, Nevermore”. Zbysko is then loaded into the ambulance and rushed out of the arena.

Jeff Jarrett vs. 'The Man Beast' Rhino - NWA World Heavyweight Championship

We move on from that grave scene to our main event. The War Machine, Rhino, will attempt to take the NWA World Championship from the man accompanied by the lovely Gail Kim, Jeff Jarrett. Rhino makes a quick entrance as to be expected, and is slowly joined by Jarrett. We are underway as Rhino starts this one off by running straight through Jarrett with multiple Shoulder Blocks. The War Machine grabs Double J and launches him from one turnbuckle, to the center of the ring before deciding to grab him once more, and toss him all the way into the other turnbuckle. Jarrett catches his breath as Rhino turns to build a head start, before being interrupted by Gail Kim shouting from the outside. Rhino reaches through the middle rope and grabs Gail as the crowd erupts, but while Rhino plays to the crowd Jarrett gets a running start and jumps onto the back of Rhino who is between the top and middle rope, forcing Rhino’s throat into the ring ropes. Jarrett and Kim would exchange looks as Jeff now has the advantage. Double J rolls into the ring and tries a kick to the head of a kneeled Rhino, but Rhino catches the kick while standing to his feet. Jarrett takes advantage, though, and nails the War Machine with an Enzuigiri that has Rhino rattled! Double J runs off to the ropes and returns to a Belly-to-Belly suplex from The War Machine! Rhino moves to the corner and looks into the crowd, obviously calling for a GORE! As Rhino perches in the corner, Gail Kim screams to Jarrett trying to warn him of the incoming attack. Jarrett grabs at the pants of the referee to help get to his feet as Rhino takes off! JEFF JARRETT PULLS THE REFEREE IN THE WAY! RHINO JUST HIT THE REFEREE WITH A GORE! Rhino is in disbelief and stares at the referee shocked while the always opportunistic Jarrett grabs his handy guitar from Gail Kim on the outside. Jarrett prepares to hit Rhino with the guitar, when RHINO HITS A GORE OUT OF NOWHERE! JEFF JARRETT IS LAID OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! But the referee is down! The crowd is on fire as the lights inexplicably cut out, before returning and seeing James Mitchell at the bottom of the entry ramp and Abyss directly behind Rhino, who’s facing Mitchell! The titantron then shows the ring, prompting Rhino to turn around directly into a Black Hole Slam from the Monster, Abyss! Abyss stares at the downed Rhino while shouting at himself, before looking over to James Mitchell and acknowledging Mitchell’s request of slamming Rhino down once more with the Black Hole Slam before leaving the ring. Abyss would walk up the ramp, making his hand signs while James Mitchell would laugh maniacally into the camera. The camera would finally refocus on what’s happening inside the ring, as we now see Jeff Jarrett standing over a downed Rhino, picking him up to his feet slowly, and hitting The Stroke. Gail Kim shoves and slaps at the referee until he comes to, and is able to count a very slow OONE! TWOOOO! THREE! Jeff Jarrett successfully defends his NWA Heavyweight Championship, regardless of how it happened. Jarrett and Gail Kim retreat in celebration, parading the NWA Heavyweight Championship through the air as TNA goes off the air to Mike Tenay wondering what the hell did we just see?

TNA Impact - October 8, 2005

LIVE FROM THE IMPACT ZONE ON SPIKE TV!

Don West and Mike Tenay once again welcome the viewers to the Impact Zone and give us a preview of what’s to come. Tonight’s Impact is main evented by a ten-man battle royale to determine the number one contender and challenger for Jeff Jarrett’s NWA Heavyweight Championship at Bound for Glory! We also will see our tag team champions America’s Most Wanted in action, but first we get started by catching up with James Mitchell and Abyss on what exactly happened at the end of last week’s Impact.

The Dark Disciples Are Born

The screen flashes over to a camera showing James Mitchell and Abyss in a dark red tinted room with candles lit and ominous music playing faintly in the background. Mitchell begins laughing maniacally before asking if we remember that exact laugh from last week. Mitchell continues, stating that men like Rhino are what’s wrong with the world. They have all the power in the world and they use it to chase petty things like gold and money. The Sinister Minister then states that men who are truly powerful seek out the truth, the dark truth. The truth that Mitchell himself has uncovered and is bestowing upon Abyss. Mitchell closes with telling the viewers that although it starts with Abyss, the rest of the Dark Disciples are coming. And soon, the Disciples will descend upon TNA and bring what they seek after, hell. Mitchell and Abyss both laugh hysterically as the camera shifts back onto the inside of the Impact Zone.

Christopher Daniels vs. Austin Aries

Daniels and Aries make their entrances as Mike Tenay and Don West discuss what we’ve seen and heard from James Mitchell and Abyss the last two weeks. Who, or what could the Dark Disciples turn out to be? This match begins with both men tying up and trying to earn the upper hand. The men mirror one another with chops, punches and dropkicks before Daniels finally gets the upper hand by using a subtle poke to the eyes before dropping Aries with a lariat, then promptly hitting an Arabian Press! This is what the X-Division is all about! Aries continues to try to get something going as he reverses a Side Slam attempt from Daniels and hits a German Suplex for a two count. Aries gets hot and hits multiple clotheslines, leaving Daniels flustered. Aries plays to the crowd before kneeing Daniels to the gut, but this allows Daniels to land a shot to the groin unseen by the referee! Chris follows up with hitting the Angel’s Wings for the quick three count! What a slimy but veteran move for Daniels as he exits the ring and TNA heads to the first commercial break of the evening.

America’s Most Wanted vs. The Naturals

Our second match of the evening follows the commercial break as we see our Tag Team Champions, America’s Most Wanted (accompanied by Gail Kim) make their in-ring Impact SPIKE debut in a non title bout versus the Naturals. The match begins and it’s instantly clear that AMW are the firm favorites. Harris and Storm isolate Chase in the corner and go to work, damaging his body and leaving him needing a breather. Storm is the legal man as Harris works his way to the other side of the ring, and picks Andy off the apron before driving him into the apron back first. In the ring, Storm misses a superkick and is the victim of a near three count on a small package. Andy begins to stir on the outside and eventually ends up on the apron as Chase sends Storm into the corner to try and earn an advantage for The Naturals, but that plan is spoiled when Storm stops his momentum and slams a super kick into the jaw of Andy. A second super kick to Chase, who runs straight into it, secures the three count for America’s Most Wanted. Mike Tenay shouts that we need to go backstage for an emergency update as AMW is celebrating and shouting obscenities at Team 3D into the camera.

Trouble’s a Krew-ing…

Team Canada is seen running off in their pack and the camera sees Konnan down and hurt. There are bent trash cans, flipped over tables and knocked over chairs scattered all over the backstage floor. Konnan is mumbling and Ron Killings is seen running up to the scene asking what happened. At this moment, the camera zooms in on a locker room door opening and we see BG James stepping into the corridor to the shock of seeing Konnan laid out. As BG approaches, the locker room door slams shut with the name “Kip” on the door. Killings quickly stepped up to BG and shouted, asking if BG is dedicated to 3Live Krew and if he’s going to focus on the present, which is 3Live Krew and Team Canada, or be left in the past as a shadow of another man’s ass. BG and Killings stare each other down as Konnan tries to recover. Killings says that BG had better be with him in tonights main event.

Team 3D is Explosive

We return from commercial break with Brother Ray and Devon, Team 3D, beside the Franchise, Shane Douglas. Ray shouts that if AMW thinks that they were impressive tonight, they’d best be watching Impact next week when Team 3D makes their Impact debuts alongside two other teams in a three-way number one contenders tag team TABLES match to determine which team will square off with AMW at Bound for Glory! Devon shouts that in one week, 3D gets the tables, and on November 23, 3D gets the gold.

10-Man NWA Heavyweight Championship Number One Contenders Battle Royale

Abyss vs. AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Kip James vs. Monty Brown vs. Petey Williams vs. Ron Killings vs. Rhino vs. Sabu vs. Samoa Joe

Our main event is upon us after an eventful night of TNA Impact, and this is a main event that lives up to its billing. Ten world-class talents will battle in an over the top battle royale to determine the number one contender to the most prestigious Championship in the Pro Wrestling world. All ten men make their entrances separately, but Petey Williams has the rest of Team Canada watching him from the top of the ramp while Ron Killings has BG James watching from near the announce table. BG and Team Canada exchange looks and shouts from opposite ends of the arena, and the match is underway. It’s a free-for-all early on as Killings bolts for Petey from the jump, as Abyss and Rhino lock horns opposite them. Monty Brown blindsides AJ Styles, and Samoa Joe blasts Sabu while Jeff Hardy and Kip James trade shots. Our first elimination comes early as the sheer aggression from Ron Killings leads to a stiff clothesline sending Petey Williams over the top rope. Killings paused to shout at the rest of Team Canada, and BG James attempted to do the same. As Killings taunts Team Canada, Kip James sneaks up from behind and dumps Ron Killings over the top rope! Kip James has eliminated BG James’ teammate Ron Killings! Ron Killings is fuming and he turns to look at Kip, but Kip is already in the middle of the in-ring action. Killings directs his anger to BG, who doesn’t seem like he necessarily wants to leave ringside. The camera picks up BG telling Ron that he wants to stick around and see Kip finish the match. Killings is beside himself as he flips BG the bird and walks up the ramp. In the ring, Samoa Joe is obliterating everyone in site. Running through the like of Sabu, AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy before delivering a stiff one-legged dropkick, sending Kip James over the top rope and out of the match. BG quickly helped Kip up to his feet and the two made their way to the back. Joe continues his rampage on anyone not named Abyss or Rhino, as the two monsters continue to focus only on taking out one another. AJ Styles hits Samoa Joe with a Pele Kick, stopping some of his momentum. The X-Division Champ looks to a springboard crossbody to try and floor Joe, but Joe instead catches AJ and quickly disposes of Styles! AJ can’t believe it! Joe smirks at AJ as he turns his attention back to the match. Sabu quickly attempts to catch Joe slipping, but Joe sends Sabu sailing over the top rope as well! Samoa Joe is on fire! The final five are Abyss, Jeff Hardy, Monty Brown, Rhino and Samoa Joe! But the final five quickly turns to the final two as Abyss clotheslines Rhino out of the ring, and takes himself out in the process. The camera quickly pans over to Monty Brown and Samoa Joe squaring off in the center of the ring with Jeff Hardy down in the corner. Blow after blow, Brown and Joe meet each other shot for shot. Joe looks to once more hit the one-legged dropkick, but this time it doesn’t work as Monty Brown slams into Joe for a POOOOUNCE. Monty then lines up a slow to his feet Jeff Hardy. Hardy stands and Joe does as well, Monty takes off in full sprint. Monty launches himself into the air as Hardy steps backwards and slams into Samoa Joe for a second POUUUUNCE! This one sending Samoe Joe just barely over the top rope and onto the ground. What a performance for Joe. We are down to Jeff Hardy and Monty Brown. Both men eye each other and Hardy bolts to action, ducking under a clothesline and hitting a Whisper in the Wind on the Alpha-Male. Hardy looks to climb to the top rope, Swanton clearly in mind. He leaps to the air as Monty quickly rolled to the corner and Jeff’s back hits the canvas. Monty Brown then catches a battered Jeff Hardy with a POOOOUNCE! The Alpha-Male could be on his way to a title match at Bound for Glory! Brown then grabs Hardy by the hair, hoists him up and attempts to toss him over the top rope, only for Jeff to hold onto the top rope and use Monty’s leverage against him, eliminating the Alpha-Male and earning a title shot for himself! Jeff Hardy has won the Battle Royale! Monty Brown hangs his head near the barricade as Jeff Hardy lays sprawled out in the center of the ring, hands over his eyes, before finding his feet and climbing to the top of all four turnbuckles to celebrate with the crowd. Jeff Jarrett comes out to the entrance ramp and looks down the ramp at Jeff Hardy while Mike Tenay signs us off with shouting that the Impact Zone is the place to be in professional wrestling!
