Pro Wrestling RPG [Browser-based Career/Booking Game]

Afternoon everyone, wanted to give you all an update and progress report real quick. I have been making head way on getting the game in a functional state. Right now I have getting most of the pages and layout created with some minor action on the early stages of the match sim engine. The first iteration of the engine will be pretty basic but will evolve over time through out the games life cycle. I am still trying to eye a late July alpha launch. Might ask for a few testers in early July to work out some bugs I may have missed along the way.

I highly doubt the promotion/booker aspect of the game will be ready come Alpha launch. I figured the market is saturated with booking sims at the moment, that feature can come at Beta. So at its bare level when the game launches for Alpha you will be able to do the following:

- Create an account
- Create characters/wrestlers
- Travel to at least 50 real cities, using various modes of transportation(car, bus, train, plane)
- Participate in exhibition matches
- Train abilities and skills
- Earn/use money and points for training, shopping, etc.

I have more tentative features I would LIKE to have for the Alpha but I don't want to announce and not deliver. I really want this game to be a living, breathing depiction of the wrestling industry. I real try to closely resemble how it functions while still trying to keep it fun and not mundane. One thing I personally am excited about and was a complete pain to work out is how to approach aging in the game for both wrestlers and promoters. Immediately ruling out real-time aging was a must as progression would be way too slow to be fun, I have decided to use Bumps as a way to progress characters. Bumps or falls are what wrestlers take in matches or training sessions. Every wrestler in the real world has what is sometimes called a "Bump Card". Meaning, there are so many bumps a wrestler can take before he can not take anymore. So I will be utilizing this idea in a way that curing character creation a randomly generated bump card will be created for your character. A stat called "Bump-To-Age" will be generated. So for every X amount of bumps your character takes, they will age 1 year. It will also generate the beginning age of your prime , decline, and retirement.

So this is where I think the game will be extra fun and find some strategy on how you build and progress your character's career. You are trying to reach legend/hall-of-famer status and leave your legacy before your bump card is filled up. Pretty neat, huh? However, if it's a tad confusing, I apologize and promise I will have a more accessible explanation a bit later.
