Warfare this week emanates from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis Indiana! Approximately 13,000 fans on hand as Mauro Ranallo welcomes us to the show alongside Nigel McGuinness.Ranallo: ”Welcome to Warfare!! After last week’s shocking conclusion as you just saw, what a show we have tonight!”McGuinness: ”That’s right Mauro, CM Punk making his in-ring Warfare debut as he faces The Anarchy’s Killer Kross! What a match that should be!”Ranallo: ”That’s right Nigel, also tonight we have the newly formed team of Matt Riddle and Bobby Lashley taking on DIY in a number one contenders match for a shot PWU Tag Team Titles next week! Jon Moxley will be here to address the NWA World Champion Nick Aldis! Also Nick’s wife, Mickie James is here after her debut last week.....but let’s kick things off with the Xcite Champion, Sammy Guevara!”(PWU Xcite Champion) Sammy Guevara w/Jake Hager vs. Adeel AlamA quick paced match to start off Warfare this week! Guevara takes control of the match early, getting in a cheap shot just before the bell sounds. Guevara clubs Alam in the back repeatedly before hitting a nice snap suplex. Guevara works over Alam but the tide of the match turns when Guevara goes for a flying forearm in the corner which Alam sees coming and moves out to the ring apron before hitting a roundhouse kick to the head! Alam then hits a slingshot clothesline to the champion, then waits for Guevara to get to his feet and connects with a roll forward jumping DDT! Alam covers but only gets a two count. Alam hits stiff strikes to Guevara and whips him into the corner. Alam is met with a desperate boot to the face by Guevara who follows up with a big lariat! Guevara hits a standing moonsault followed by a hard leg drop. Guevara covers nonchalantly but only gets a two again. Guevara picks Alam up and goes for a brainbuster but Alam reverses it and goes behind Guevara before planting him with a backstabber! Alam covers again but only a two count! Alam waits for Guevara and tries a running hurricanrana but Guevara counters into a sit-out powerbomb! Guevara picks Alam up and hits a nice delayed vertical suplex. Guevara in control goes to the top rope for a shooting star press but Alam nips up to his feet and pushes the top rope leaving Guevara crotched on the turnbuckle. Alam climbs the turnbuckle and sets up for the Spanish Fly which he connects with!!! The champion in trouble! The fans are on their feet and just as Alam is about to cause an upset, Jake Hager climbs on the ring apron! The referee is distracted and Alam dropkicks Hager off the apron! This distraction allows Sammy to get to his feet and he hoists Alam on his shoulders and hits the Burning Hammer GTS!! Guevara covers, 1.........2.......3! After the match, Hager climbs back into the ring and locks in the ankle lock on Alam! Sammy puts the boots in at the same time but outcomes Kevin Steen!! Steen rushes out and Guevara and Hager hightail it out of there! Ranallo: ”Great opening match there but once again we’ve seen that Sammy Guevara wants none of Kevin Steen!!”McGuinness: ”Unfortunately for Sammy, he doesn’t have a choice in the matter as Kevin Steen challenges Guevara at Battleground for his title!”
Up next, we see The Anarchy lead by the PWU World Champion Aleister on their way to the ring! The Anarchy are all dressed in new leather jackets with the group logo on the back of them. The fans cheer as Aleister picks up the mic. “Last week....I told everyone that The Anarchy will begin. I issued a warning to the PWU locker room but still there were naysayers who thought I was all talk. That was until the end of last week’s show when I introduced AJ into this brotherhood. Now listen up Prince, what happened last week was just a warning about what happens if you stick your nose in my business. Your boys got beaten down and rightly so. If you’re smart, you fellas will accept your beating and move on. I’m also going to look past what happened last week and look forward to our next victim.....CM Punk. Now Punk, you talk a lot of trash and you’re very brave when you’re doing a pre recorded interview. Tonight though we see just how brave you are.....it’s not too late to turn back Punk. This is your final warning as tonight you face Killer Kross. IF you do go ahead with this match tonight just remember I gave you the choice. (Aleister pulls out an egg timer from his jacket and places it on the mat) Time is ticking Punk......” The Anarchy leave the egg timer in the ring and leave the ring area. Ranallo: ”A message sent by our World Champion.....but I have a feeling Punk will not back down from The Anarchy!”McGuinness: ”Definitely not Mauro, Punk has a chance to possibly gain a psychological advantage over Aleister tonight! If he beats Killer Kross, doubts could potentially creep into Aleister’s mind!”
Up next ‘El Idolo’ Andrade enters the arena! Andrade has a mic as he walks down to ringside “So once again, your cowardly International Champion is not competing tonight and not fulfilling his promise to defend that title every week. Do not fear though as ‘El Idolo’ will represent what an International Champion should be!”’El Idolo’ Andrade vs. Chris Sabin w/Alex ShelleyThe two men lock up and Andrade backs Sabin into the corner. Andrade looks as though he’ll break cleanly but Andrade slaps Sabin and Sabin responds with a slap of his own! Schoolboy pin but only a two! Sabin trying to catch Andrade by surprise. Sabin hits a clothesline, then another before hitting a huge dropkick which sends Andrade to the outside! The fans at ringside taunt Andrade and Andrade tells them to shut up. Sabin takes advantage of the distraction and hits a suicide dive to the outside on Andrade! Sabin all fired up! Sabin picks Andrade up and rams his head off the ring apron before rolling him back into the ring. Sabin waits for Andrade and goes for a springboard clothesline from the apron but Andrade dropkicks Sabin in mid air! Andrade gains some control in the match and whips Sabin hard into the turnbuckle. Andrade hammers away on Sabin with Sabin now seated in the corner. Andrade backs away before charging at speed with a double knee strike in the corner! Andrade covers but only gets a two count! Andrade questions the ref count but goes back to work on Sabin. Andrade picks Sabin up but Sabin hits a few elbows into the gut, Sabin off the ropes, Andrade ducks a clothesline attempt and catches Sabin coming back with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker! Andrade catches Sabin for La Sombra DDT but Sabin wriggles out and follows up with a huge lariat! Both men down, Sabin trying to get to his feet first. Sabin gets to his feet first and waits for Andrade before connecting with a huge superkick to the jaw! Sabin gets him on his shoulders for The Cradleshock but Andrade climbs down and executes a roll up, Andrade with the tights 1..........2...........3!!! Andrade gets him! Ranallo: ”What a cheap win by Andrade!! That’s what he thinks a good champion represents!?”McGuinness: ”Cheap or not Mauro, it’s effective! If he pins Castagnoli at Battleground by pulling the tights without the ref seeing he’s not gonna care one bit and we’ll have a new champion!”
We go backstage where The Bullet Club are just arriving to the arena! They seem to be in good spirits and can be heard to be laughing and joking about the beatdown that The OG Bullet Club got last week at the hands of The Anarchy. Kayla appears and asks Drew Galloway about his thoughts on last week’s attack and what do they have in store tonight? Drew responds “Ya see Kayla, thanks to The Anarchy, we kinda have a night off tonight. They’ve done our work for us after the beatdown that Devitt and his boys have now received two weeks in a row! It makes me laugh that they are actually serious about challenging us in the Battleground Match. They’re a joke right now. So me and the rest of the club will probably just sit back and watch the rest of the show!” Drew grins and Kayla while the rest of the Bullet Club walk past her, Britt Baker giving her a dirty look.Ranallo: ”The Bullet Club seem in good spirits tonight, has to beg the question though, why are they here? I mean The OG Bullet Club aren’t here tonight due to injuries sustained last week at the hands of The Anarchy!”McGuinness: ”Right now, The Bullet Club can do whatever they like Mauro. They are favourites heading in to Battleground and for good reason! Devitt, Omega and The Good Brothers have been beaten down two weeks running now! Things looking very good for The Bullet Club at the moment!”
We see clips from last week’s show in which the mystery masked woman unmasked herself as Mickie James after defeating Piper Niven!
Mickie James then makes her way out to the ring to a good ovation. James takes the microphone “It’s so nice to be appreciated here in PWU!! (The fans cheer) So last week, I revealed that it was me that was under the mask the previous two weeks. I have arrived in PWU with one goal in mind. For years now I have been overlooked, under appreciated, placed further down the pecking order in favour of younger women, most of which can’t wrestle or draw a dime by the way!! So I’m here in PWU to set the record straight that I am one of the most talented female wrestlers on the planet and I deserve a shot at glory once again! So BB Crawford, I’m challenging you to a title match at Battleground! I can beat you....and in fact I can beat any of the so called talent in this company!” This brings out Rhea Ripley! Ripley comes out and marches down to the ring with a microphone. “Well well well......what do we have here? Another has-been that wants to take a trip down memory lane.......at my expense! Mickie....you WERE a great wrestler. In fact, I was even a fan of yours....but it’s my time now and in no way am I letting you get a title shot over me! I’ve had BB beat twice now and both times I’ve been cheated. So go back to whatever you’ve been doing since you were fired from the other place and understand that your career is over!” The two ladies look like they are about to fight but outcomes the GM Stu Bennett! “Ladies please....settle down. Now I know the women’s division here in PWU is fierce and to be honest with you, I think you both deserve a title shot. So before you rip each other to shreds, at Battleground, BB Crawford will defend her title in a triple threat match against the both of you!!” Stu Bennett walks away, and as he does, Mickie James takes out Ripley’s leg from behind! Mickie then puts the boots to Ripley before picking her up and hitting a jumping tornado DDT! Mickie blows a kiss to Ripley as she leaves the ring. Ranallo: ”What a statement made by Mickie James!! Mickie is here for the Women’s Championship!”McGuinness: ”Mickie James has really upset the applecart in the women’s division and she finds herself in a triple threat match against the champion and Rhea Ripley at Battleground for the title! Huge match made by Stu Bennett!”
We see a promo for Battleground, but when we come back, Jon Moxley’s music plays! Moxley makes his way out to the ring through the fans and once he enters the ring he snatches a microphone. “I hate to interrupt the show but Nick Aldis, I just saw your old lady out here so I know you must be in this building tonight. Get your ass out here now....” Moxley throws the mic as ‘Moxley’ chants echo throughout the arena. Moxley is expecting Aldis but out comes Stu Bennett again! “Moxley! I’m afraid you’re going to be disappointed, Nick Aldis isn’t here tonight. I thought I’d give him the night off as a good will gesture after you embarrassed PWU last week by attacking Nick on an episode of NWA Power! As you’re here though Jon and it seems like you’re ready to fight then let’s have a match! Here’s your opponent.....” Outcomes Sha Samuels!! Bennett smirks as Samuels makes his way out. Jon Moxley vs. Sha SamuelsSamuels makes his way down the aisle but Moxley isn’t willing to wait and delivers a suicide dive to Samuels before he makes it in to the ring! Moxley pummels Samuels with hard right hands before picking him up and throwing him into the guard rail. Moxley rolls Samuels into the ring and starts choking him up until the referee’s 5 count. Moxley picks Samuels up again but this time Samuels backs Moxley into the turnbuckle and follows up by driving his shoulders into Moxley’s mid section repeatedly. Samuels then floors Moxley with a hard clothesline. Samuels begins to take some control in the match, keeping Moxley grounded with a sleeper hold. Samuels uses the ropes for leverage behind the referee’s back! ‘Moxley’ chants break out and Moxley feeds off the crowd’s energy and reverses the sleeper hold into a side suplex! Both men get to their feet and the two exchange punches, Sha whips Moxley off the ropes, he ducks a clothesline attempt and follows up coming back with a flying forearm! Moxley climbs to the top rope and waits for Samuels to get to his feet before driving his elbow into the top of Samuels head then hitting a huge lariat! Moxley waits again and rebounds off the middle rope and goes for a lariat but Samuels ducks and hits a neckbreaker! Samuels goes for a cover but only gets a two count! Samuels continues to hammer away at Moxley with clubbing blows and whips Moxley into the corner. Samuels charges for a corner splash but Moxley moves out the way! Moxley picks Samuels up and goes for a Paradigm Shift but Samuels lifts Moxley off his feet and drops him hard on his front! Samuels tries to lock in the ‘Butcher’s Hook’ but Moxley reverses it and hits a Russian leg sweep! Samuels gets to his knees but Moxley charges with a knee to the head of Samuels! Moxley picks Samuels up in position for the Paradigm Shift and this time he connects! Moxley covers, 1........2........3!! Moxley picks up the win! After the match, Moxley demands a microphone. “Aldis.....you’re lucky you aint here this week but I want you here next week. I also want you at Battleground.....and if you’re man enough, you’ll put your NWA World Championship on the line. I want your answer next week....if you don’t show up, I’ll know where to find you...” Moxley throws his mic down as the fans cheer. Ranallo: ”Moxley laying down a challenge to the NWA Champion Nick Aldis for Battleground!”McGuinness: ”Will Nick Aldis show up next week!?”
We go backstage where Bobby Lashley is doing his final stretches for the tag team match up next. Matt Riddle approaches “Brrrooooo.......look at you man! You ready?” Lashley looks agitated “Look Riddle....I know we’ve been on a roll as of late but you need to get serious, stop all this bro business and start taking this seriously. We have a chance to become Tag Team Champions next week and IF I have to team with you....you better be ready.......bro.” Riddle smirks as Lashley walks off “I think he’s starting to like me...” Matt Riddle and Bobby Lashley vs. D.I.Y (winners face Young Bucks next week for tag team titles)
Gargano starts the match with Riddle and the two men lock up. Gargano backs Riddle into the ropes and the two have a clean break. They go to lock up again but Riddle nips behind Gargano and delivers a waist lock take down followed by a front face lock which Gargano counters reversing into an arm lock go behind. Riddle hooks Gargano’s head with his free arm, jumps in the air and hits a nice snap mare to get out of the arm lock. Punk states that Pac was not who Punk was talking about last week when he said he’s not fighting The Anarchy alone and he has nothing to do with Pac’s attack on AJ Styles last week. Punk warns Aleister that he needs to forget about any other feud he may be in as he needs to concentrate on him taking his title away at Battleground. Punk tells Aleister to pay close attention to him tonight.
Up next, Bobby Lashley comes out and explains his actions for last week’s attack on Matt Riddle. Lashley says that Riddle is a joke act and Lashley doesn’t want to be associated with any joke acts and that he would rather hold no titles than hold a tag team title with that clown. Lashley goes on to say that Riddle has the potential to be a serious contender in PWU but he is all about chilling and acting cool. Lashley warns Riddle to get serious and stay out of his way.Bobby Lashley vs. Tommaso WitneyThis one is an interesting encounter between two different styles, Lashley’s sheer brute strength and Witney’s aggressive style mixed with technical excellence. Pac stated that since coming to PWU, he’s been sitting on the sidelines as a bit part player but not anymore. He wanted to feel like he belonged which is why he wanted to join Aleister and The Anarchy. Pac says it looks as though he’s going to have to remove AJ himself….Rhea Ripley vs. ShotziThis is a tough match for Shotzi who does her best to mix it up with Ripley but Ripley is hell bent on becoming the PWU Women’s Champion at Battleground and shows her power and strength in this match. Shotzi gets a brief period of offence, but Ripley over powers her and hits the Riptide for the victory. A big win for Rhea Ripley ahead of the Women’s Championship match in 2 weeks! Next we see footage from a pre recorded special sit down interview conducted by Mauro Ranallo with the OG Bullet Club, Prince Devitt, Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers. They talk in detail about the upcoming Battleground Match against Drew Galloway, The Young Bucks and Adam Cole. Devitt states that this current incarnation of The Bullet Club has s**t on the legacy of the original which is why this fight is happening. Devitt claims he wants to recapture the glory years of The Bullet Club and the OG’s want to reclaim what belonged to them. Kenny Omega then talks about The Young Bucks turning their back on him at Revolution and how badly that affected Omega mentally. Omega states that there is no more self pity and that Kenny Omega will prove he is back to his best at Battleground. Omega said that The Young Bucks were his brothers but now he has found his real brothers again and they will together make The Bullet Club rise again and when they make the Bullet Club surrender, that will be too f*****g sweet.Kevin Steen vs. ‘El Idolo’ AndradeBig match for both men here as they are both challenging for titles at Battleground! Castagnoli hobbles out but then throws away his crutches and runs down to ringside to take out Andrade! Castagnoli back to full fitness hammers away on Andrade and fights off Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager. Steen and Castagnoli stand tall as Guevara, Hager and Andrade retreat to the back! We go to GM Stu Bennett who is in his office talking to his enforcer Sha Samuels about the upcoming Battleground Pay Per View. They are interrupted when Bobby Lashley storms in! Lashley tells him that he wants Riddle at Battleground as he wants to teach that clown a lesson. Bennett chuckles and accepts Lashley’s request. Well look what’s happened to your boy!!” Scherr and Aleister turn around and we see Killer Kross laid out backstage! Punk continues “Now I’d love to take credit for this buttttt…..I did warn you that I’m not fighting this battle alone. See you at Battleground…..” Punk waves to Aleister via the video wall as Aleister and Adam Scherr run towards the backstage area. This leaves Pac alone in the ring until AJ Styles appears from behind! Styles lines Pac up and Pac turns right into a phenomenal forearm!! Styles hammers away on Pac as officials yet again pour out from the back! This one is a no contest! Aldis comes to the ring first with the NWA Championship around his waist. Moxley makes his entrance through the crowd and enters the ring in his usual fashion. Bennett immediately tells Moxley not to embarrass PWU in this contract signing which is met by Moxley gesturing to Bennett. Aldis speaks first, running down Moxley for not befitting the NWA and stating that he doesn’t deserve to hold this prestigious title as he is nothing but a punk and would drag the NWA name into the gutter if he was to represent them as their champion. Moxley speaks and states that ever since he was a kid, he watched the NWA and knows exactly what it takes to be a champion. Moxley states that it’s time the NWA was brought into a new edgier era and it could do much better than to have a corporate ass kisser as their world champion. Both men sign the contract and Moxley goes to leave but Aldis attempts a sneak attack but Moxley sees it coming and the two men brawl! Corgan and Bennett try to break it up but to no avail. Eventually Moxley comes out on top, driving Nick Aldis through the table with the Paradigm Shift! Bennett is seething as Moxley picks up the NWA Championship and dumps it on top of Nick Aldis’ prone body!
We go backstage where Kayla is standing by with The Bullet Club. Galloway talks about how important this match is tonight for momentum going in to the Battleground Match. Galloway states that The Bullet Club will do anything to gain an advantage in the Battleground Match even if it is only mere minutes. Galloway says sarcastically that the sit down interview with Ranallo and the OG Bullet Club that aired earlier really tugged as his heart strings before chuckling and saying it showed how pathetic that the “OG’s” are and they should be nowhere near The Bullet Club name. Galloway states that they are stronger than they have ever been and they proved that at Spring Sacrifice back in April. Galloway says tonight will be no different and he and Adam Cole will show their dominance tonight. The Bullet Club (Drew Galloway and Adam Cole) vs. The Good Brothers - The winning team wins the third entry in the Battleground Match for their teamA big main event here to close this week’s Warfare. Both teams start brawling before the bell even sounds and throughout the match there are numerous occasions where all four men get involved in the match. The tide turns however when Drew misses a Claymore attempt to Anderson, allowing Anderson to tag in Gallows! Lexi tells James that she has no right in getting a title opportunity on Sunday and that she has just walked into PWU and gotten what she wants thanks to her relationship with Nick Aldis who is friends with Stu Bennett! James calls Kaufman a wannabe and Lexi is just jealous because despite being younger, she’ll never have the career that Mickie James has had! Aldis chuckles just before the two ladies brawl in the hallway! Stu Bennett arrives and helps Aldis break it up and tells Kaufman she needs to watch her mouth. This time we see Adam Scherr laid out backstage, nobody knows how this happened. We see the PWU World Champion Aleister asking people around if they saw who did this? Tonight has been bloody chaos, fighting all over the arena, people being laid out left right and centre. I’m all for competition but we have a pay per view on Sunday!! We can’t put on a pay per view if everyone is in hospital so from now on, if ANYBODY attacks or assaults anybody outside of a match between right now and Battleground, then they will be suspended on the spot! Which means no Battleground match! I hope I’ve made myself clear…..” Bennett throws the mic down and storms back to the locker room.

27th June 2021The show starts with an opening video package. A narrator’s voice is heard….
“For years….battles have been fought……two sides with a dispute on politics……religion…….areas of land. These disputes will often end in war, where many lives will never be the same again…….tonight these eight men (showing The Bullet Club and the OG Bullet Club) will put their bodies on the line to settle a dispute….over the legacy of a name….over a name that shaped their careers and in many ways is synonymous with their identities. Tonight, two army’s will be contained inside two rings, trapped inside a steel structure…..one army will reign victorious….the other will disband but the feeling of failure will linger forever. Tonight…..two armys go to war……and the squared circle in which many brave men and women (showing all the roster on tonight’s card) have fought for centuries……will become their Battleground…..”

We go backstage where Adnan Virk thanks PWU for giving him the opportunity for this job. Virk asks Aleister if the attack from his challenger CM Punk on Warfare a few nights ago has taken it’s toll on him and how he feels about tonight’s match. Aleister glares at Virk before responding. “Last week, Punk made a very costly mistake by trying to take out The Anarchy. Now I don’t know who attacked Kross and Scherr but one thing I do know is that tonight, me and you go to war. Everybody is talking about the Battleground Match, but what they don’t realise is, that after my match with you Punk, the ring will look like a Battleground and you will have fallen before me. You made the mistake of wanting my attention……well unfortunately for you…..you have it. I’ll see you out there Punk and you better hope The Anarchy don’t find you before…..” Virk looks a little shaken as Aleister leaves the interview.Ranallo: ”The champion with a warning to CM Punk, what a title match that is going to be later tonight!”Up next we get a video package showing the events leading up to the Women’s Championship Match including BB Crawford successfully defending against Rhea Ripley, the debut of the masked woman as well as the reveal being Mickie James, and the sneak attacks on BB from Mickie James. 1st July 2021Warfare starts with a video package showing still images from Sunday’s Battleground pay per view. We see the closing moments of each match and we see footage from the closing moments of the Battleground Match in which Bullet Club defeated the OG’s.
After the introduction we go to our announce team of Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness.
Ranallo: ”Welcome to Warfare just 4 days removed from Battleground and what a show that was and what a show we have for you tonight! The road to Blood In The Sand begins tonight as we will see a Fatal Five Way main event in which the winner will get a title shot against Aleister at Blood In The Sand!”
McGuinness: ”That’s right Mauro, tonight we will see Bobby Lashley, Drew Galloway, Nick Aldis, Prince Devitt and CM Punk battle in a number one contenders match! Huge match to main event Warfare this week!”
Ranallo: ”Also on tonight’s show we will be hearing from the new Women’s Champion Mickie James as well as the new Xcite Champion Kevin Steen in action! Plus the Warfare debut of Samoa Joe as he faces The Anarchy’s AJ Styles later tonight!”
Kevin Steen (PWU Xcite Champion) vs. Santana w/Ortiz The opening match on this week’s show featuring the new PWU Xcite Champion! This one is a back and forth encounter with Santana giving a good showing against the Xcite Champion. Santana shows great athleticism for his size and hits a rolling cutter on Steen which earns him a near fall. Santana goes for springboard cross body but Steen dropkicks Santana in mid air! Steen then gains offence and whips Santana into the corner followed by a corner clothesline. Santana is then hit with the cannonball in the corner. Steen goes for a Stunner but Santana hits the three amigos! Again Santana goes high risk with a springboard moonsault but Steen gets the knees up followed by a Stunner for the victory! Great opener to kick off Warfare!
After the match as Steen celebrates with his title, we see Pac attack from behind!! Pac who was victorious against AJ Styles last night beats down the Xcite Champion and locks in the Brutalizer! Pac grabs the title belt from the mat and holds it above his head before dumping it on to Kevin Steen’s injured body!
Ranallo: ”Pac sending a message to the Xcite Champion!”
McGuinness: ”Something needs to be done about Pac attacking people from behind! We’ve seen him attack Riddle, AJ Styles and now the Xcite Champion! He’s not making too many friends in PWU!”
Up next, CM Punk and Samoa Joe make their way out to the ring! Punk grabs a mic “Aleister I told you so! I warned you for weeks that I was not fighting my battle with you alone. Then on Sunday, finally my secret was revealed in the form of a 300lbs Samoan Submission Machine, Samoa Joe! (The crowd cheer) this man standing next to me already gave you an indication of what he can do after he took out your entire ‘Anarchy’ stable and then finally choked you out on Sunday. Now I may not have won the title but tonight I get another shot at you once I win the Fatal Five Way match and at Blood In The Sand, I finally become champion. So get used to this image PWU because me and Joe are taking over and destroying anything in our path….” Punk throws the mic down but just as they are about to leave the ring, we see Killer Kross appear on the stage with a microphone! Kross makes his way down to the ring showing no fear and gets right in Joe’s face. “You may have taken me out two weeks ago…..but you made a mistake by not keeping me down.” With that, Kross hits Joe with the microphone and takes him down by the legs hitting several forearms to the face of Joe! Punk stomps away on Kross and breaks it up but Kross tosses Punk out of the ring! Kross and Joe brawl in the ring and outcomes AJ Styles to even the score! Styles and Joe go face to face before numerous officials appear to break things up!
Ranallo: ”How about those two huge monsters, Kross and Samoa Joe going at it! That’s a match I’d like to see somewhere down the line!”
’El Idolo’ Andrade vs. Frankie Kazarian A quick paced match between two top athletes. Kazarian shows his experience in this match by blocking some of Andrade’s offence and shaking the ropes when Andrade is about to hit a double foot stomp onto Kaz when he is hung up in the ropes. Kaz then hits a second rope suplex. Kaz has good offence and hits a backstabber which only gets him a two count! Andrade gets his momentum back after Kaz misses a springboard leg drop and Andrade whips him into the corner and hits a double knee strike followed by a reverse DDT from the turnbuckle. Andrade whips Kaz off the ropes and he ducks a clothesline attempt, Kaz attempts a springboard back elbow but Andrade dropkicks Kaz in the back of the head sending him to the mat! Andrade then hooks him and delivers La Sombra DDT! Andrade covers for the 3 count!
After the match, Andrade talks about how he was robbed at Battleground and shows a video on the video wall of his shoulder coming off the mat just before the referee counts 3 in his match with Castagnoli at Battleground. Andrade states he wants a rematch and calls Castagnoli a ‘paper champion’
McGuinness: ”Well he does have a point Mauro, Andrade kicked out before the three last Sunday therefore he should get a rematch!”
Ranallo: ”I agree Nigel and I’m all for another match between those two but I think it’s an insult calling Castagnoli a paper champion considering he was defending his title on this show each week before his injury!”
We go backstage where Adnan Virk is standing by with the new Women’s Champion Mickie James! Mickie says she deserves the title and her and her husband Nick Aldis are the ultimate power couple in PWU now that they both hold titles! DMD Britt Baker interrupts and tells Mickie that she needs to watch her mouth and that her and Nick have nothing on Britt and Adam Cole. Britt tells Mickie that she plans on taking the title from her. Mickie laughs and asks why should she be scared of a woman that has already blown her title opportunities! Mickie says “Oh and as for Adam……he couldn’t lace Nick’s boots.” Mickie smirks before walking off with her title.
DIY vs. Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander Quick paced tag team action here in a match that will go some way into determining who will be next in line for a shot at the Young Bucks. Gargano and Benjamin deliver a chain wrestling masterclass to start the match which Benjamin breaks using his aggression with hard kicks to the mid section of Gargano. Benjamin whips Gargano off the ropes and catches him with a hard powerslam. Benjamin and Alexander work well as a tag team here isolating Gargano until he hits Benjamin in mid air with a superkick! This allows Gargano to tag in Tommaso and the tide of the match turns. Witney takes control of the match but after a while all four men are in the match. After Gargano takes out Alexander, DIY hit Benjamin with the Meet In The Middle! Witney covers for the three count!
Ranallo: ”A huge win for DIY!! They must have the Young Bucks in their sights!”
McGuinness: ”They will want to regain those tag team titles! DIY Witney and Gargano are two great competitors!”
The camera quickly cuts to the backstage area where we see Jon Moxley beating the hell out of Nick Aldis! Moxley throws Aldis into the steel shutter in the back and hits him with a Paradigm Shift on the concrete! Moxley is out of control and GM Stu Bennett attends the incident. “What the hell are you doing Moxley!? Nick is meant to be in the main event!” Moxley looks crazed “Put me in the damn match Stu!! You know I had the title won last night, put me in the match or else this will get a whole lot worse!” Moxley pulls out a barbed wire baseball bat! Bennett responds “You do not make the rules Moxley I do!! Why should you get a shot at a title match if you behave like this!?” Moxley smirks “Here’s why…” and Moxley drives the barbed wire bat into Aldis’ chest repeatedly! Stu looks terrified of what Moxley may do next “Fine Moxley you’re in the match!! Just stop this now!!!” Moxley scampers away as Stu checks on Nick Aldis.
Ranallo: “Moxley just got himself into the Fatal Five Way! Moxley attacked Nick Aldis and blackmailed Stu Bennett!”
McGuinness: ”That’s no way to get a title shot! Nick Aldis is hurt and I’m surprised Bennett has given in to Moxley!”
Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles This is a fantastic match, these two clearly know each other so well as there are plenty of reversals from both men. Styles hits Joe with numerous strikes before hitting a Pele kick! Styles staggers Joe and hits a flying forearm. Styles covers but only a two! Styles goes for a calf crusher but Joe uses his power to kick Styles away before hitting a huge clothesline which flips AJ over. Joe continues to dominate for a while hitting his own striking combo and hitting an enzugiri to the back of AJ’s head! Joe goes for the muscle buster but AJ counters and hits a blockbuster neckbreaker to Joe! AJ hits a standing shooting star press and then heads to the top rope for a corkscrew splash but it misses! Joe moves out the way! Joe locks Styles in the Rear Naked Choke and Styles passes out giving Joe the win!
Ranallo: ”Impressive PWU debut for Samoa Joe and what an awesome match!”
McGuinness: ”We definitely haven’t seen the last of this issue between Punk and Joe and The Anarchy!”
We go to pre recorded words from Kenny Omega which took place after the Battleground Match last Sunday. Omega states that despite being disappointed in losing the Battleground Match, the OG’s are still brothers and still have each others backs. Omega stated that despite the pain he is in and the pain he was put through in that match at the hands of Drew Galloway, he is not yet finished with him. Kenny states “I have to beat Drew Galloway. I will not rest until I have beaten him. I am the best wrestler in the world today and I am not going to stop until I defeat him and prove it. They got one over on me at Revolution, they got one over me at Battleground but at Blood In The Sand I want one more shot at Drew Galloway. This time if I lose…..I quit wrestling for good.”
The camera cuts to Drew Galloway backstage and Kayla asks his response to Kenny Omega’s challenge. Drew chuckles “Booo hooo poor Kenny, he got outsmarted yet again at Battleground. Here’s the issue though, I’m only moments away from regaining a shot at what is rightfully mine and becoming the number one contender to the PWU World Championship. So as much as I’d like to further humiliate Kenny Omega at Blood In The Sand, I’ll be too busy winning our World Championship. Something he knows nothing about….”
Ranallo: ”Drew Galloway very confident after his victory last night! Kenny Omega on the other hand seems to be obsessed by Drew Galloway, putting his career on the line!?”
McGuinness: ”Kenny Omega needs to get past this mental block he has against Drew Galloway and The Bullet Club, I don’t think Kenny can move on mentally until he defeats Drew Galloway but putting his career on the line could be costly!”
Before the main event, it is announced by ring announcer Justin Roberts that he has been informed by Stu Bennett that this is now an elimination match!
Drew Galloway vs. Bobby Lashley vs. CM Punk vs. Prince Devitt vs. Jon Moxley (Fatal Five Way Elimination Match - Winner faces Aleister for PWU World Championship at Blood In The Sand) The match starts off quickly with Devitt hitting a tope con hilo on to Galloway during his entrance to the ring! The bell sounds and the match begins! Devitt and Galloway brawling on the outside while Punk and Lashley hammer away on Jon Moxley! Lashley and Punk’s team is shortlived as Punk accidentally hits Lashley with a roundhouse kick after Moxley moves out the way! Lashley lifts Punk and slams him back first into the corner, driving his shoulders into Punk’s midsection. Moxley joins the brawling on the outside and whips Galloway into the stairs! The brawling continues and the first elimination occurs when Devitt goes for a flying crossbody to Lashley but is caught in mid air, turned around and slammed down hard with a Dominator! Lashley covers, 1…..2….3 Devitt is eliminated!
We’re down to four and Galloway tries to make an alliance with Punk and Lashley to take out Moxley, but Lashley spears Galloway! Moxley hammers away on Punk and hits him with a nice lariat knocking him down hard! Lashley whips Moxley into the turnbuckle but Moxley gets his feet into Lashley’s face! Moxley climbs up top and hits a flying elbow to the head of Lashley knocking him down! Galloway then measures Lashley getting to his feet and hits a Claymore straight to the face! Galloway covers, 1…….2……3! Lashley is eliminated!
We’re down to three and Galloway is in control at the moment. Galloway works on Moxley with big clubbing blows and goes for the Futureshock DDT but Moxley counters and hits a northern lights suplex. Punk hits Moxley from behind and Moxley and Punk battle around the ringside area for a while leaving Galloway alone in the ring. Suddenly we see Kenny Omega!!! Omega appears hobbling down to ringside after injuries sustained at Battleground! The crowd go crazy as Omega sets up Galloway with the One Winged Angel and connects! Moxley sees what just happened and covers Galloway, 1………2……..3! Galloway is eliminated!
Down to Punk and Moxley! Punk and Moxley fight for several minutes, a lot of back and forth brawling. Punk hits Moxley with a corner knee strike to the face followed by a bulldog. Punk waits for Moxley on the apron to get to his feet before connecting with a springboard sit out clothesline! Punk looks confident and tells the fans it’s over and sets Moxley on his shoulders for like the GTS but Moxley out of nowhere Moxley counters, spins Punk around and hits the Paradigm Shift! Moxley covers, 1………2…….3!! Moxley is going to Blood In The Sand!
Ranallo: ”Moxley did it!! Jon Moxley is getting a shot at Aleister’s title!”
As Moxley makes it to his feet and Punk trying to get to his feet, the lights in the arena go out! When they come back on, we see The Anarchy in the ring minus Aleister surrounding Moxley and Punk! There is a new member of the group standing in the ring with AJ, Scherr and Kross!
McGuinness: ”What the hell!? That’s Levi Cooper! He’s was previously known as Tucker in the WWE!”
Ranallo: ”Is Levi a member of The Anarchy!?”
Aleister appears on stage with a microphone and sits cross legged. “Phil…..Jon……say hello to brother Levi!” Levi hits Punk with a big boot and Kross, AJ and Scherr jump Jon Moxley! 8th July 2021Warfare kicks off with The Bullet Club making their way out to the ring! Mauro Ranallo: ”Welcome to this week’s Warfare and despite the schedule we are being joined early by the Bullet Club”
Nigel McGuinness: ”Galloway, Cole and The Young Bucks walking with purpose here!”
Drew Galloway looks menacing as he demands a microphone. “I’m done playing games, WE are done playing games. Kenny Omega, last week you crossed the line by costing me my opportunity at the PWU World Championship. You’re gonna pay the ultimate price now because I accept your challenge at Blood In The Sand! You made a big mistake last week as I was going to be preoccupied with a championship match but now I’m kicking my heels at Blood in the Sand, meaning now I’m going to have to further humiliate you and end your career!” Nick Jackson asks Drew for the microphone “You see Kenny, you’re obsessed with Drew but you are missing one thing. It wasn’t Drew that screwed you at Revolution, it was us Kenny. Your ‘brothers’, your ‘brothers’ that you didn’t fight alongside against Aleister. You became a changed man and a shell of your former self and we noticed that…..so Kenny next week, we want to finish the job we started, how about you face the PWU Tag Team Champions myself and Matt in a handicap match!? If you have the guts that is….”
Kenny Omega’s music hits and appears on the stage! “Matt, Nick, I haven’t forgot what you did to me. I accept your challenge for next week and I am going to destroy you. Drew as for you….I’m so glad you accepted my challenge for Blood In The Sand as I have nothing left to lose. You’re right, you guys have one upped me at every turn, you left me laying at Revolution, you left me laying at Battleground but that makes me more dangerous. They are telling me that with putting my career on the line, the risk is much greater than the reward but in this case it’s not. When I finally defeat you at Blood in the Sand and I see you look up at me and realise the beast you have awoken in me, that will be too…….sweet. Oh and one last thing…..there’s a couple of guys who I know who are looking for a fight……watch your back guys…..”
With this, we see The Good Brothers come out the crowd and enter the ring behind The Bullet Club! The Good Brothers armed with chairs take out Adam Cole and Drew Galloway before throwing him to the outside where Omega races down the ramp and brawls with Galloway! The Good Brothers brawl with The Young Bucks in the ring and they hit the Magic Killer on to Matt Jackson! Doc Gallows goes to the outside and drags a table into the ring! They set the table up and they set up Nick Jackson for the Magic Killer through the table which they execute, driving Nick Jackson through the wood! Security arrive and get in between the brawl between Galloway and Omega on the ramp as we go into a commercial break!Ranallo: ”What a start to Warfare, we’re just cleaning away the pieces of wood from the table that Nick Jackson was driven through to kick the show off!”McGuinness: ”An all out brawl to kick this show off and let’s not forget that Drew Galloway and Kenny Omega has now been made for Blood in The Sand!”Ranallo: ”That’s huge! Another thing that’s huge is our main event tonight, the number one contender for the PWU World Championship Jon Moxley will be taking on The Anarchy’s AJ Styles in our main event!”McGuinness: ”A big main event tonight but also in this broadcast, Claudio Castagnoli’s International Title open challenge returns to Warfare! Plus we saw his debut last week but The Anarchy’s newest member, Brother Levi will be in action!”Dr Britt Baker DMD’s music hits and we are ready for our first match! She is accompanied by boyfriend Adam Cole who is still favouring the back after the chair shot by Karl Anderson moments ago. Dr Britt Baker DMD w/ Adam Cole vs. ShotziA nice back and forth women’s match to kick the action off this week! Baker takes control early on driving her knees into Shotzi’s mid drift in the corner and follows up with a nice snap suplex. Baker looks comfortable and locks her in a chin lock but Shotzi fights out and hits a side suplex. Shotzi drop toe holds her on to the middle rope and hits charging double knees to the back! Shotzi near fall. Baker regains control in the match after Shotzi misses a middle turnbuckle senton splash and Baker takes over from here. Baker with some great offence hits a rocker dropper but only gets a two count! Shotzi and Britt go back and forth for a bit but Shotzi goes for a powerbomb but Britt hits a facebuster to counter! Britt then hits her Baker Buster and hooks the leg for the 3 count! After the match, we see the Women’s Champion Mickie James make her way out! James taunts Baker with the belt after their confrontation last week. Baker invites Mickie into the ring for a fight but as she makes her way down to ringside, the NWA Champion Nick Aldis appears and convinces her not to enter the ring. Adam Cole leaps in to the ring upon seeing Aldis as Baker talks trash to Mickie as Mickie is ushered to the back by Aldis! We go backstage where Andrade is in Stu Bennett’s office. Andrade is showing Bennett the closing moments of his match against Castagnoli at Battleground on his tablet “See Mr Bennett….my shoulder is up. Now I don’t know what kind of company you want to manage if you’re letting false champions roam around, I want a rematch at Blood In The Sand!” Bennett nods in agreement “Andrade, you’re right. You were robbed at Battleground so it’s only fair you get another title match….only this time to make sure there’s no controversy, you will challenge Castagnoli if he is still the champion, in a 30 minute iron man match! I think you could both steal the show and you have the chance to prove you are the deserving International Champion!” Andrade smirks and nods his head as we go back to our announcers.Ranallo: ”Wow a huge match made for Blood In The Sand! Of course, that is if Castagnoli makes it to Blood In The Sand as champion because later tonight he has an open challenge to deal with!”The lights in the arena go out and the PWU World Champion makes his way to ringside with the newest member of The Anarchy, Brother Levi! Aleister grabs a mic. “Last week, The Anarchy made a statement that we are the dominant force in PWU. We saw the arrival of Brother Levi, and tonight he is here to prove his worth to the rest of his brothers and more importantly…..me. So Brother Levi….show me your worth….” Brother Levi w/ Aleister vs. Adeel AlamAlam starts the match quickly and hits Levi with numerous quick dropkicks which only really stagger the big man. Alam goes for a rolling pop up DDT but Levi catches him in mid air and tosses him up in the air leaving Alam to land hard on his front! Levi dominates using numerous power moves including a delayed vertical suplex and he hits Alam with a running big boot. Levi hits a trapping suplex to Alam, dropping him hard on his head to pick up the 1….2…3! A fairly straight forward debut victory for Brother Levi. After the match, Aleister promises that Jon Moxley will suffer a similar fate tonight at the hands of AJ Styles and that time is ticking for Jon Moxley until he becomes just another fallen victim to The Anarchy. We go backstage where the PWU Xcite Champion Kevin Steen is standing by with Kayla. Steen has his back to the wall and states he doesn’t trust that bastard Pac after all the assaults from behind that he has perpetrated over the last couple of months. Steen calls Pac a coward and invites Pac to try and face him man to man! Instead we see GM Stu Bennett enter the shot. “Well well…..look who it is. I have to say, well done on winning the Xcite Championship I mean after all it was the only one you could contend for after I beat you at Spring Sacrifice but what’s next Kevin? Where can you go from here? Well I just thought I’d drop by and inform you that you will be defending your Xcite Title against Pac at Blood In The Sand…..good luck Kevin….” Bennett smirks and walks off as Steen responds “That’s fine with me…..Pac you have no idea what you started with me last week….but I’m gonna finish it at Blood In The Sand…”McGuinness: ”Stu Bennett, still a thorn in the side of Kevin Steen, naming Pac the number one contender to Steen’s title at Blood In The Sand!”Ranallo: ”Talking of titles, here comes the International Champion, Claudio Castagnoli!!”Castagnoli comes out to a good ovation and gets on the mic before his match. “Now all I’ve heard since Battleground is Andrade crying and bitching about how he was robbed and blah blah blah. I’ll just be interested to hear his excuse after I beat him in the Iron Man Match at Blood In The Sand! But first we have tonight…..the return of my International Championship open challenge! It’s been a while thanks to injuries but tonight, let’s see who has the guts to try and take my title from me!” After a pause we hear familiar theme music and the letters RVD appear on the video wall! It’s Rob Van Dam answering the challenge in his home state of Michigan! RVD comes out to a huge ovation and RVD chants followed by holy s**t chants echo throughout the arena! Van Dam does his thumb point before a burst of pyro goes off. Ranallo: ”I can’t believe it!! Michigan’s own wrestling legend, tonight he’s Mr Thursday Night, Rob Van Dam!!”Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. Rob Van Dam (PWU International Championship)The match begins with both men locking up with Castagnoli backing RVD into the corner. Castagnoli tries a European uppercut but RVD moves out of the way and follows up with his kicks to the chest and a roundhouse kick to the face! Van Dam starts building momentum and uses many of his signature moves including the monkey flip, the step over spinning heel kick to the face and whilst Castagnoli takes a few moments on the outside to regroup, RVD hits a springboard sommersault plancha using the top rope for leverage! “You still got it!” chants echo throughout the arena! RVD only gets a near fall after this flurry of offence. RVD goes for a rolling thunder but Castagnoli springs to his feet and hits a clothesline! Tide of the match turns and Castagnoli takes control hitting a gutwrench suplex as well as a series of suplexes. Castagnoli then locks in the big swing and swings RVD around numerous times. Castagnoli tries to hit the Neutraliser but RVD counters into a back drop then hits a spinning leg drop. RVD climbs to the top rope for the 5 Star Frog Splash but outcomes Andrade!!! Andrade pushes RVD off the top rope and the bell sounds as the fans boo! Andrade mounts Castagnoli and pummels him with several right hands to the head! Andrade picks him up off the mat and hits La Sombra DDT on the champion! RVD makes it to his feet and clocks Andrade with a spinning roundhouse kick which sends Andrade out of the ring! Andrade backs away up the aisle holding his jaw as RVD helps Castagnoli to his feet. RVD raises Castagnoli’s hand as the crowd cheer. We head into a video package showing us the events of last week between Samoa Joe and Killer Kross. Ranallo: ”Last week we saw Samoa Joe and Killer Kross brawling twice and having to be seperated. Our GM Stu Bennett has given both men the night off to cool tensions but I understand that next week, Samoa Joe and CM Punk will be in tag team action against Killer Kross and Brother Levi!”McGuinness: ”That’s a huge match for next week! I’ve also just been informed that next week, Rob Van Dam will be back to take on Andrade one on one! That’s just announced, as well as Kenny Omega taking on The Young Bucks announced earlier tonight!!”
We go backstage with Adnan Virk who is standing by with the number one contender to the PWU World Championship Jon Moxley! Adnan asks for Moxley’s reaction to the match made next week between Punk/Joe and The Anarchy and does this issue with them distract him in his pursuit of the PWU World Championship? Moxley responds “I don’t care if Punk and Joe and the other members of The Anarchy wanna kick each other’s asses all the way up to Blood In The Sand and I personally hope they tear each other limb for limb. The only thing that I am focused on is becoming the PWU World Champion and finally defeating Aleister. It wont be easy, he has been a dominant champion but last week he struck the first blow in this war. Aleister hasn’t got the thirst for violence that I have and yeah he’s a little unhinged but so am I! Aleister, I’m not worried about you or your buddies and regardless of how many times you wanna sneak attack me, I won’t go down without a fight and believe me you haven’t had a challenge like me yet. I’ve been challenged my whole career and this is no different so do your worst Aleister…..cos I’ll be doing mine….”The Gunn Club (Austen and Colten) vs. Santana and OrtizA tag team match to continue Warfare this week with both of these teams with one eye on the tag team champions, The Young Bucks! This one starts out with the Gunn Club using a little size advantage with Austen delivering a gorilla press slam to Santana! Impressive strength displayed there. The Gunns start the match strong but a missed splash in the corner allows Santana and Ortiz to work over Austen for a while and they isolate him in the match with frequent tags not allowing him any offence. Santana and Ortiz use an array of double team manoeuvres including a reverse spinebuster by Santana slamming Austen on his front on to the knees of Ortiz! Ortiz then catapults Austen into a superkick and Colten has seen enough and delivers several right hands to both Santana and Ortiz. The match breaks down but Colten goes for a crossbody to Santana near the ropes but Santana ducks it resulting in Colten crashing to the outside. Ortiz sets Austen up on his shoulders and Santana hits the diving blockbuster, sit-out powerbomb combo to pick up the three count! Impressive win for Santana and Ortiz who get a good reaction! After the match, Santana gets on the mic and warns The Young Bucks that the Good Brothers aint the only team eyeing up those tag team titles! Ranallo: ”The Young Bucks are marked men at the moment with a target on their back! So many teams in PWU wanting a shot at their gold!”McGuinness: ”The Young Bucks have had a bad night tonight, Nick Jackson got put through a table earlier tonight now Santana and Ortiz have claimed that they want a shot at their titles!”Ranallo: ”Next week they’ll have to get through Kenny Omega in that handicap match! I can’t imagine what Omega will want to do when he gets his hands on the Young Bucks!”Jon Moxley vs. AJ StylesMain event time! AJ comes to the ring on his own without the rest of The Anarchy. Moxley and AJ battle it out to start the match off trading punches in the ring. The action soon spills to the outside with Moxley whipping AJ into the steel guardrail! Moxley and AJ brawl around the ringside area until Moxley’s Irish whip attempt is reversed and he is sent into the stairs! AJ works on Moxley for a period of the match keeping him grounded which is a different style of wrestling for AJ than what we’re used to! AJ locks in a leg grapevine but Moxley makes it to the ropes. AJ hits a standing shooting star press and keeps Moxley down with a grounded sleeper. Moxley eventually gets out of the hold and pushes Styles into the turnbuckle followed by a corner clothesline and bulldog which gets a near fall. Moxley gains some control in the match and goes to pull AJ in for a short arm clothesline but AJ ducks it and hits a Pele kick! AJ goes back on the offensive with a combo strike with forearms and a leg sweep. AJ goes to the top rope and hits a 450 splash but only a near fall! AJ goes for the Styles Clash but it’s countered into an Alabama slam! Moxley then hits a series of German suplexes before AJ walks into the Paradigm Shift! Moxley hooks the leg, 1……..2…….3! Jon Moxley picks up the win! As soon as the match is over, the lights go out! When they come back on, Aleister, Adam Scherr and Brother Levi are in the ring surrounding Moxley! Ranallo: ”Damnit!! The Anarchy are here again and they are surrounding Moxley! Moxley is outnumbered 4 to 1 here!”Moxley looks like he is about to head to the ropes to escape but instead he hesitates and turns around and charges at Aleister!! Moxley hits several rights and lefts but Adam Scherr pulls Moxley off Aleister and hits a huge chop which sends him to the mat! Aleister instructs The Anarchy to cause further punishment and Levi hits Moxley with a standing spinebuster! Scherr and Levi lift Moxley to his feet and they hold him as Aleister hits the Midnight Mass kick to the face of Jon Moxley! The Anarchy link hands and stand in a circle over the fallen Jon Moxley as Warfare goes off the air!
