2010 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX RACE SUMMARY
The 2010 season kicked into high gear with the second round in Australia. Sebastian Vettel claimed the pole position and as the race kicked off, he darted away from the pack, looking to rebound from last week's devastating blown tire fiasco.
Meanwhile, Jenson Button attempted to hold off Fernando Alonso for P2 but Alonso managed to zoom past him to secure the spot. Further back in the pack, Robert Kubica and Nico Hulkenberg battled hard for P10 which ended with Kubica colliding with Hulkenberg, sending both men out of the race.
As the race continued, Lewis Hamilton worked his way up the pack after starting at P9, he made his way into P5, passing Felipe Massa before challenging Mark Webber for P4 but being unable to overtake. Near the back, Bruno Senna surprised many by racing hard and ending up in P13 but it was just not enough.
Michael Schumacher struggled once again in this race and after qualifying P14, he was only able to climb into P8 by the time the race wound to it's conclusion.
Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel battled hard for P1 but it was defending World Champion Jenson Button who shocked everyone by beating both men in a photo finish.
