In April 2020, Jun Kasai saw what was happening with BJW, they were bleeding money, people were owed money more then likely. They cut Takuya Nomura, Drew Parker, and others. FREEDOMS was doing great, but Kasai knew that the stories could be more, the wrestling could be more, and thus, he "rebelled" against his home promotion, not leaving them, but announcing he would start his own promotion "REBELLION."
As the promotion started he signed his protégé, Masashi Takeda, he also brought on Parker, Nomura, Toru Sugiura, Isami Kodaka, Yuko Miyamoto, any big deathmatch guy you could think, they were signed on to REBELLION now, and the first thing that Kasai would announce, was the show would be labeled in "Phases."
His idea was unique and it reminded some more of the hardcore UK and American fans of the once popular PROGRESS promotion that had sold out to the WWE.
Kasai said he planned to do shows monthly and that he would book any talent that BJW could not and he would be willing to allow non deathmatch wrestlers to enter the promotion, but they would of course have to work deathmatches eventually, such as Takuya had learned and said he would not wrestle on the first show as he needs to learn the style.
REBELLION already has a small but rabid fanbase that is interested to see how this new Deathmatch Promotion will go.
As Kasai said at the end of his press conference "IT'S TIME TO REBEL!!!"

Kasai would start a live stream on his computer, sitting next to Jaki as he waved to the camera in a goofy sort of way.
"Hello everyone, welcome to the official REBELLION Youtube Channel were we will be uploading the shows too!
Our first ever show will actual be an 8 man tournament to decide our first champion who will be known as the Leader of the REBELLION Champion!
Jaki, why don't you tell the fans our bracket?"
Jaki would pick up a piece of paper and look at it.
"The first round matches will be
Rina Yamashita vs Jun Kasai in a Light Tube Deathmatch after that it'll be Drew Parker vs Masashi Takeda in a Thumbtacks Deathmatch then it'll be Yuko Miyamoto vs Isami Kodaka in Glass Pane and Ladder Deathmatch then to end round 1 it'll be Toru Sugiura vs Toshiyuki Sakuda in a Kensan and Needles Deathmatch for the 2nd round matches, the people to advance from the first 2 matches will advance to a No Canvas Deathmatch the people who advance from the bottom 2 matches will fight in a Lighttube Skyscaper Deathmatch then final in the finals, we will do your crazy idea of a REBELLIOUS Deathmatch, which will be goddamn insane."
Jun would take the mic back.
"You know it will be, but another thing you should know is we'll be hosting at the Shinjuku Face and we hope to see you all there!"
(Post your tournament predictions down below!)

Rating: 44 D
Before the main event starts, Toru is given a quick break as they will present the championship belt!
Jaki comes out with a red sack and steps into the ring.
"Hello everyone, before we get to the main event, I was asked to come out here and show you what these 2 men will be fighting for! So without further a-do, here it is!!!"
Jaki then holds the belt too the time keeper and he places it.
Now it's time for the entrances for the main event.
Toru comes out, still with some blood on him but he at least got that needle out.
He has his coat back on and walks to the ring with a very confident look, he knows he can become the KFC and REBELLION Champion right here tonight.
Toru steps into the ring looking at the insane weapons and fire near and around the ring.
He nods to himself and waits for Kasai.
After Toru's theme fades out, the theme of the Legendary Jun Kasai, the founder of REBELLION, comes out from the back with his regular entrance gear.
He takes off his mask and points to one of the massive tube stacks in the corner and then to the flaming table on the outside.
He nods to Toru and gets into the ring, ready for the crazy deathmatch he came up with.
In a REBELLIOUS Deathmatch, a match with flaming tables, broken glass, no canvas, barbed wire, lighttubes, and beds of nails, Toru Sugiura was just barely able to hit Jun Kasai in 21:57 by running off the ropes and forearming him with a pane of glass in front of Kasai.

After the match, Toru is in the ring a bloody mess, skewers in his head, but in the end, he is the first REBELLION champion!!!
Kasai stumbles out of the arena by himself and flips off Sugiura as he leaves.
Jaki steps into the ring as Toru's theme plays and hands him the championship.
The show ends with Toru Sugiura standing tall to end the first show as the Double Champion of FREEDOMS and REBELLION!
