Ted Turner held a meeting this week, addressing WCW wrestlers and front office staff. It was a pep rally, with Ted vowing that the entire Turner empire is still backing WCW and saying that, other than CNN, every aspect of Turner Home Entertainment would be involved in cross-promotion with the company.
Turner vowed that as long as he is around, WCW will never go out of business and hyped everyone up, saying that 1994 will be the year they finally overtake WWF.

World Championship Wrestling lands a major broadcasting deal in Europe, by signing a deal with the Scandinavian Media Group Viasat. Viasat changing programming from World Wrestling Federation to World Championship Wrestling is a major setback for the WWF and a important step for WCW in the European expansion. WCW Saturday Night will be aired on the commercial channel TV3, while WCW pay-per-views will be available on the subscription based channel TV1000. WCW Senior Vice President Eric Bischoff is said to be thrilled by the deal. Swedish amateur wrestling legend Frank Andersson is part of the deal and is expected to get a major push in WCW. This means that the Scandinavian market will get a lot of custom WCW content on the shows.
