ALL ELITE WRESTLING POST-PANDEMIC: THE HOUSE ALWAYS WINS

All Elite Wrestling started as a massive vision. A billionaire known as Tony Khan along with the help of a group of wrestling geniuses known as The Elite who had just put on the biggest Independent Wrestling show of all time only a couple of months before the company's formation would soon issue in a new era of professional wrestling. One where competition became apparent after over 2 decades of industry monopolization, and a mainstream American alternative could reign on to give lapsed fans something else to enjoy. This little vision would become the 2nd biggest company currently in the industry, giving the competition a run for their money. After a solid 10 months of extremely high momentum and skyrocketing popularity, a worldwide health crisis would hit the world, not only halting the world and it's economy, but halting the momentum that was going into this upstart company. The world of wrestling was very bleak as his health crisis was going on, fans couldn't attend shows, and with everyone stuck at home, what is needed was some kind of distraction from the ongoing trials and tribulations many were experiencing. AEW did just that. Even with massive limitations and stopped momentum, AEW would hit the ground running throughout it's time in Daily's Place, creating many iconic moments and bringing in excellent matches instead of phoning it in and waiting for crowds to come back. This era of AEW would culminate with a sold out crowd at Daily's Place for Double or Nothing, and after that event happened, AEW isn't just gonna sit down and take a backseat. They still got to bring what is considered by many to be the best pro wrestling in the world.

Christian Cage and Jungle Boy are backstage talking about how Kenny Omega knows that he's not ready for the shock that Jungle Boy will leave this Wednesday night. He would tell the Audience that Jungle Boy will shock the world once again just like he did at Double or Nothing.

QT Marshall of The Factory defeated local competitor Drennan in 7:02

AEW DYNAMITE (JUNE WEEK 1) RESULTS

Omega and Don Callis are backstage, Omega with all 4 titles draped on his body, as both Omega and his stooge Don Callis are both roasting him in the only way they can. Omega then finishes the promo by saying that he's small, weak, and
that he will defeat Jungle Boy, in front of his own family.

Hangman Page defeated Powerhouse Hobbs of Team Taz in 16:24.

Brian Cage and Taz go to Hobbs and look disappointed at him, but as they do, Brian Cage snaps and hits Hobbs with the FTW title. Taz is begging Cage to stop but he keeps beating him down, then he chokes out Taz. As both men are laying down in the ring, and as Hangman gets out of there, Cage tosses the FTW title out of the ring and onto the stage, then leaves.

Women's Champion Dr. Britt Baker DMD and her sidekick Rebel (Not Reba) are in the locker room. Britt reminds the world that she beat Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing, and that she's ready to take on any other woman in the world for her title, announcing next week on Dynamite, that she will issue in an open challenge to any woman not only in the AEW locker room but anywhere in the world, ending with a statement that she could beat any of them in record time.

Mark Henry makes his entrance and then gets on the mic, telling the audience that he's just not there to be an analyst for AEW Rampage, he's also there to change the landscape of AEW and bring in new faces. He then announces the AEW World Cup! A 32 Man Tournament in which the winner will face the AEW World Champion at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam in September at Arthur Ashe Stadium!

The Wild Things (Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston) defeated The Hybrid2 (Angelico and Jack Evans) in 16:11

Sammy Guevara, Santana, Ortiz, and Jake Hager are all backstage drinking bubbly in flute glasses, and Sammy lets MJF know that he isn't no weakling. And that he's more than happy to face him next week on Dynamite.

With a new look and attitude, Hikaru Shida defeated KiLynn King in 10:28

The Young Bucks while holding the AEW Tag Titles start talking about how good they are, calling out the "shills" and "stans" of a certain other company, and then turn their attention to Frankie Kazarian, who considers the title of the "Elite Hunter" to be really stupid. They then end their promo with "Watch out, Kaz! Be careful what you wish for!"

TNT Champion Miro defeated Frankie Kazarian in 16:46 and retains his title.

After the match, The Elite (aside from Omega and Callis), jump Kazarian from behind and continue to beat him down. However, Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page come out to help Kazarian fight off The Elite. Kazarian then stands up and asks if they want to be apart of the Elite Hunters, they agree.

Tony Schiavone goes to the stage and makes an announcement to the crowd, and that there will be a surprise signee that will have a multi-year contract with All Elite Wrestling. He will be here, next week.

In the Main Event, Kenny Omega defeated Jungle Boy in 22:33 and retains the AEW World title. At the end, Kenny celebrates with the rest of the Elite, closing the show with an "Elite stamp of approval".

AEW DYNAMITE (JUNE WEEK 2) RESULTS

First Round Tournament Match: Jeff Cobb defeats Japanese legend, Jun Akiyama, moving onto the second round.

Moving into the next segment, Tony Schiavone is on the stage, with a microphone in his hand.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce our new Multi-Year signing. All Elite Wrestling's roster is a collection of Wrestling's past, and Wrestling's future, and tonight, I introduce you to a man that has won many championships, has wrestled all over the globe, made his name in the United States, Japan, Mexico, and India, a spectacle of a human being, and one who was the heart of TNT 2 decades ago, please welcome, BIG POPPA PUMP! SCOTT! STEINER!"

Scott Steiner shows up to the ramp and flexes his giant muscles for the crowd. Schiavone then says:

"Steiner, it was a pleasure to be with you again, it's been 20 years in the making, and I'm sure you have a lot on your mind. What have you got to say to the AEW crowd?"

Steiner is handed the microphone and says:

"You know Tony, I never expected that I would show my face in AEW, but I'm glad to be here! However, I'm not gonna be in the ring, as while I am a genetic freak, I'm not the genetic freak that I was 20 years ago. And I'm aware, that Big Poppa Pump, needs to look into the future! And I thought to myself, that I needed a new genetic freak, to carry on my legacy. Cause when the day comes, that leads me to goin' six feet under, I need a way for the fans to remember the booty daddy himself! And so, I think, that the next generation of genetic freaks, can carry on my legacy! And recently, I was watchin', and there is a perfect candidate for the job! The Machine! Brian Cage!"

As Steiner says that, he is then interrupted by Taz.

Taz then interrupts the interview session, with Hook by his side:

"Who the hell said they could bring anyone here? Tony I don't know why you did this, you made a grave mistake bringing this guy back into the world of wrestling." He then turns his direction towards Steiner. "I used to be friends with you 12 years ago, but after those 12 years have passed, I've moved on to bigger and better things. Dealing with the past ain't one of those things, building to the future, is what I do best."

Steiner interrupts Taz' monologue with:

"TAZ! YOU KNOW THAT I AM ALWAYS HERE TO STAY! AND THE FIRST THING I DIDN'T WANNA DEAL WITH, WAS A CANDYASS THAT HASN'T STEPPED IN A RING IN 2 DECADES! AND IF YOU'RE GONNA COME IN HERE, TELLING ME AND THE AEW CROWD WHAT YOUR PLANS ARE, WE DON'T CARE! THE FOCUS TODAY, IS ON ME! AND MY NEW GENETIC FREAK, BRIAN CAGE! SO IF YOU'RE GONNA SHOW YOUR ASS IN FRONT OF THIS CROWD, IT'S BETTER OFF, IF YOUR CLIENT, POWERHOUSE HOBBS, TAKES ON MY NEW CLIENT, BRIAN CAGE, AT FYTER FEST!"

Taz then stares down Steiner, and finishes with:

"You got yourself a deal!"

Taz leaves as we move on the next segment.

Jon Moxley defeats Danny Limelight and retains the IWGP United States title, however, after the match, Moxley gets on the mic and says this:

"The truth is, I have no more challengers for this belt. And I don't think there are any more wrestlers in the AEW locker room that can defeat me. So I'm issuing an open challenge to anyone, outside of AEW! It doesn't matter if you are from New Japan, Impact Wrestling, NWA, MLW, On the Independents, I challenge anyone, to come face to face, with the Death Rider!"

As he says this, a video plays on the Titantron screen, showing gold raining down, and after a few seconds, text appears on the screen in a certain font that says:

"THE RAINMAKER ACCEPTS YOUR CHALLENGE, SEE YOU AT FYTER FEST"

The crowd knows who this is, and Moxley is looking confident about it. He then smiles and leaves with the title in hand.

Moving into the next segment, Andrade El Idolo is backstage, in a suit, looking at the camera, and he speaks:

"I have arrived in AEW, and I will guarantee that tonight, being my first match, I will win, and I will win in the best way. Estaré tranquilo, sereno y listo para enfrentarme a cualquiera, en AEW (I will be calm, and collected, and ready to take on anyone, in AEW). I will show the world, Andrade, El, Idolo."

After this promo, we move on to the next segment.

Britt Baker makes her entrance and is looking at the entrance ramp with a confident smile on her face, she gets on the mic and says:

"Winning the AEW Women's Championship has taught me something that I've been thinking about and that is, why just sit at home when I can give the women in AEW more opportunities to try and beat me? I already dethroned Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing, I have the right to do this, so...whoever is out there, give me your best shot."

After a bit, no one shows up to accept her challenge, then she says:

"I guess no one is willing to-" But then, she gets interrupted by familar-sounding music.

Maki Itoh makes her return to Dynamite as she sings her theme to massive cheers from the crowd. Then she goes into the ring and looks at Britt's title, and then points at it, as the bell rings.

Britt Baker defeats Maki Itoh, losing the open challenge.

First Round Tournament Match: KENTA defeats Robbie Eagles, moving into the second round.

In his debut match, Andrade El Idolo defeats Griff Garrison. However, he gets on the mic after the match and says:

"The match I had was short, but this time, I want a challenge, and thus, I want a challenge, and I know someone who will give me that challenge. Cody Rhodes! ¡Te desafío a un partido, en Fyter Fest! (I challenge you to a match, at Fyter Fest!)"

Cody Rhodes' music hits and he shows up on the stage, looking at Andrade, and says on the mic:

"So you want a match with me? Hey, why didn't you just ask? I'm welcome to give newcomers to this company a shot at trying to defeat me." He then leaves as Andrade tries to get him to come back and face him like a man.

Miro defeats Brian Pillman Jr., retaining the AEW TNT Title.

In the Main Event, The Elite defeat the Elite Hunters. After the match, all of them beat down the Elite Hunters.

While this beatdown is going on, both Christian Cage and the returning Konosuke Takeshita come in to help the Elite Hunters fight off The Elite, ending the show with a standoff between both factions.
