BREAKING NEWS AHEAD OF FYTER FEST NIGHT 2
A Media Call was made on the day of Fyter Fest Night 2 featuring AEW CEO Tony Khan and EVP Cody Rhodes, some interesting news has come out from this media call going into the PPV. Some of the biggest bullet points ahead are:
-With the beginning of touring starting that week with Fyter Fest Night 1, both Dark and Dark: Elevation have now been brought down to 1 hour, and will both take place on Wednesday before Dynamite
-The debut episode of Rampage will be broadcasted from the United Center in Chicago, ahead of All Out.
-The changes to Dark: Elevation will only be temporary, as on the debut episode of Rampage, Dark: Elevation will be moved back to 2 hours and will take place before Rampage.
-AEW will return to Daily's Place for AEW Dynamite: Homecoming on the first week of August.
-The first quarterly TNT special event will take place in late November after Full Gear, the name of this event will be AEW: Battle For The Belts, and will feature all championship defenses on the card.
-Tony Khan would say that he has big plans for the upcoming month of July, saying that Fight For The Fallen will be during the CEO Fighting Game Championships and the first Dynamite of the month will be Road Rager, taking place in Miami, Florida at the American Airlines Center.
-Cody Rhodes mentions the AEW World Cup, saying that a good amount of talent from the tournament will receive full contracts after the tournament. Among the names mentioned, Jeff Cobb (under the NJPW Partnership), Chris Brookes, Mike Bailey, Rocky Romero (under the NJPW Partnership), Zicky Dice, Laredo Kid, Alexander Hammerstone, Jacob Fatu, and JR Kratos.
-On the subject of talent, Tony Khan reveals that 2021 is the year of bringing in talent of all kinds to expand AEW into many different market.
-According to both Tony and Cody, they are planning on expanding their working agreements, including adding more companies to the Forbidden Door, with them announcing Dragon Gate as their newest member.
-Tony Khan would mention the possibility of Trios titles, to which he says it's still in the works.
-Tony would then talk about the possibilities of Mixed Tag and Intergender matches, to which he finishes it by saying: "We'll see."
