Rebuilding New Jersey Devil

Curt Brackenbury

31-year old right wing enforcer from St. Louis Blues in exchange for left defenceman Murray Brumwell. Brackenbury is considered as one of the toughest players in the league and is one of the Top 3 fighters.

Brad Marsh

Hard-hitting left defenceman from Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for left defenceman Tapio Levo, left winger Jeff Larmer, left winger Paul Gagne and the rights to center John Johansson. Brad Marsh will be a defensive key player and despite only being 25-years old he will bring experience to the Devils defence while rebuilding. Marsh would be a top-3 defender on most teams and his main strength is his defensive play.

Randy Cunneyworth

Devils required left winger Randy Cunneyworth from Buffalo Sabres in exchange for center Merlin Malinowski, left winger Aaron Broten and the rights to left defenceman Uli Hiemer. Cunneyworth is a agitator and a blue collar worker known for his physical play and work ethic, he will be a perfect fit for the new Devils team.

37-year old veteran defenceman Carol Vadnais was traded to Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a 7th Round Draft Pick.
