Two points are definitely a good catch against Ajax, as you have been superior to the rest of your group. You should be heading to the Quarter Finals.
Internally, you're still undefeated, right?

Two points are definitely a good catch against Ajax, as you have been superior to the rest of your group. You should be heading to the Quarter Finals. Internally, you're still undefeated, right? Real Madrid have a dream team with Ronaldo, Patrick Vieira, Zinedine Zidane, Iker Casillas, Raul, Figo and Roberto Carlos. They have been so dominant and solid in Spain, that even Barcelona are struggling to keep it up (so far).
So it's a good result for a very young (and rebuilding) Ajax. Most of our players are 20 or below. In a few more seasons Ajax will have a dream team with the majority of the key players in their 20s.
Ajax only have two losses. Against PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Super Cup (1st game of the season) and away in Munchen against FC Bayern. I have a feeling that Ajax and Bayern are gonna be international rivals for years to come. FC Bayern are also the reigning Champions League champions.

Moore the Greek ghost team Panathinaikos eliminated both Schalke 04 and Real Madrid. Panathinaikos are team machine without stars, so I guess their manager is a tactical genius.

Real Madrid signing Patrick Vieira as a replacement for Claude Makelele is a great call. And I'm shocked that Panathinaikos managed to qualify for the Quarter Finals. Their best player is probably Emmanuel Olisadebe, I guess. Group C was defying, to say the least.
The favorites all advanced in the UEFA Cup Quarter Finals, but the match-ups looked great.
Valencia signing Figo has me shook.
You're making me want to give CM 01/02 another try even though I really suck at the game... maybe CM 03/04 or FM 2005 instead.

Valencia was the only club bidding for Figo. I guess Real Madrid needed to free up some salary space. I decided to not bid (as Barcelona) and instead save cash for future bids for Ronaldinho and Ricardo Quaresma.
