TEW 2020: How does a brand draft work? Does a draft have a right or wrong way to be done? I am thinking about doing it one of my promotions with 3 brands, but only do the draft between 2 brands. I've only done it in 2013 and 2016. There I created a Excel to keep track of the actual draft and rankings.

I was left wondering after the latest TEW reviews published in this forum: do you guys also think that TEW 2016 is the best out of the last three versions? I mean, I agree that 2016 is the game that LOOKED better and has the better scenarios and databases (in terms of variety at least) out of the most recent three, but I feel like overall TEW 2020 is a way better game than 2016. I can't give my opinion on TEW IX yet, and even if I'm tempted to buy it, I won't before any promising-looking database is released... and the price is dropped somehow. Still, I reckon that TEW 2016 has some ups over 2020, like the customization of product and the option to loan a worker in exchange for cash instead of another worker. Anyway... to properly compare both, I may need to touch TEW 2016 again, so I'm open to suggestions: what's your favorite scenario/db for 2016? Asaemon marc91 creativeleader81 Frank Reed johnnyboombatz (and everyone else!) Edit with another question: how well does the scenario conversion (from 2016 to 2020) feature work?

what's your favorite scenario/db for 2016? In TEW 2016, the database I was really into was the War Of The Immortals. There was a Gold Dust Trio promotion which featured the pioneers of professional wrestling. There is some bad ass talent in that promotion. I took wrestlers that would fit the mold of that straight forward catch-as-catch-can wrestling, and brawlers too, and created a pretty great game save out of it. The thing that made it exciting was the variety of talent you could take from the 80's, 90's and 2000's and blend them in with that old school roster. Ed "The Strangler" Lewis had an undefeated streak that couldn't be beat! The Funk brothers fit in perfectly. As did Dean Malenko and Arn Anderson. It was a lot of fun. I was really disappointed to see that the promotion didn't carry over in the same mod for 2020. If I could get my old PC running properly I would definitely fire up TEW 2016 again for a minute to see what my last save looked like.

Edit with another question: how well does the scenario conversion (from 2016 to 2020) feature work?Converting a mod always will require a lot of modding hours to fix. Ryland always removes and re-adds a lot of features, and change a lot that increase the workload.
-All broadcasters will be the same, due to removed settings. -Game world settings which will increase realism were removed. -Touring companies will lock up talent on longterm written deals instead of touring contracts. -Touring regulars which will add realism have been removed.
Converting my 1993 scenario would result in tweaks, workarounds and 1000s of data items disappear from the mod. This will create a more unrealistic scenario.

My memory is foggy, but is 2020 the first game that introduced India and Oceania? If so, the popularity for a lot of wrestlers got messed up when I converted a scenario
I'm all for a new TEW, but I will wait too

I just never tried it (honestly) because I'm using TEW 2020 since it came out, pretty much... Genadi's DBs were also fantastic, from what I recall.

A little question: how to improve finances easily? In my ECW 2001 save/diary, we're medium sized, but we've been losing money (not much per month, though) since day one. We have most of the roster under exclusive contract and we're running two house shows a week. We only get 10% of revenue from MTV, which isn't exactly a super bright deal for us...
I'm thinking about running all TV shows and PPVs from the Tri-State area and occasionally going to the closest territories, like Mid Atlantic, New England and Great Lakes and nothing else, at least for a while so we can have better attendances and ratings (due to our popularity there).
Due to the roster we have, and since we have a nice group of wrestlers exclusive to us, I'm thinking a 30-minute/1-hour B-show can be a good idea to build the low card, even though we'd need a far better revenue deal than what we have in the A-show. We could also use OVW and HWA wrestlers there.
What do you guys think? Any tips?
