WWE Royal Rumble 27.01.2008 New York, NY
1. ECW Title No Disqualification Match: CM Punk (c) (w/ Kelly Kelly) def. Kane (12 mins) After the non-finish at Armageddon, Kane gets a rematch in a No DQ match and it's good way to kick a MSG show given their fans' tendencies. Kane does what he can, throwing objects around for big spots, while Punk has to sell a lot and come back slowly. Punk hits a GTS after a long struggle and retains the title
2. WWE World Title: Edge (c) def. Rey Mysterio (13 mins) Not only this can be a good match like in reality, but the feud can go deep as Mysterio and Edge used to be partners and tag champions, then never met again when Edge got drafted to Raw in 2004. Mysterio is sad about his friend changing behaviour etc., but Edge is determined to do everything he can to be the champion. Mysterio stops the Major Brothers from interfering, but Edge hits a spear and keeps the belt
3. WWE Title: Randy Orton (c) (w/ Candice Michelle) def. Jeff Hardy (16 mins) This was really good and, despite not the longest and deepest feud, it was built quite well due to people craving for Hardy to finally have a title shot on PPV. Orton, like in reality, is surprised and worried about Hardy's recklessness and willing of risking his own body for glory. Hardy missed a swanton on the announcers table, which affects his back and Orton wins with the rko in a very tough match for him
4. Royal Rumble Match: John Cena wins by eliminating Triple H (67 mins) RAW participants: Brian Kendrick, Carlito, JBL, John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Harry Smith, Mick Foley, Triple H, William Regal, Ric Flair, Umaga, Chris Jericho and Mr. Kennedy. Smackdown: Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, Fit Finlay, Jamie Noble, Jimmy Yang, John Morrison, The Miz, MVP, Batista, Undertaker. ECW: Chavo Guerrero, Stevie Richards, Elijah Burke, Kofi Kingston, Nunzio, Shelton Benjamin, Tommy Dreamer. Jericho comes back as #1 for a big surprise, he lasts 30 minutes but him and Kennedy eliminate each other thanks to Regal pushing them over. Foley also returns at #20 for a good pop and run, he eliminates two opponents but Umaga throws him out. Umaga and Batista have a rough fight when the latter comes in as #26, they fight like bulls and Batista manages to eliminate Umaga, who comes back and does the same to screw Batista. #30 is John Cena, a complete shock and surprise like in reality, leaving everybody speechless. Final four: #13 Flair, #19 HHH, #27 Taker and #30 Cena. Taker seems to be the best one, but The Major Bros arrive to distract him and Edge spears Taker, so all 3 of them drag him over the top rope. Flair has the usual great performance, but HHH throws him out. Cena and HHH go at it in the last few minutes, it's an open match and Cena prevails to win the Rumble

WWE No Way Out 17.02.2008 Paradise, NV
1. #1 Contender Elimination Chamber Match: Triple H def. Umaga (w/ Candice Michelle), Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Carlito and Jeff Hardy (26 mins) A title shot at 'Mania is on the line. This match worked well and 4/6 participants are the same, I'm adding Flair and Carlito instead of JBL and Jericho. Plenty of stories here: DX tension, Umaga is kept strong, Flair chasing his last hurrah, Hardy wants the gold etc. Umaga gets pinned only when everyone else join forces against him. HBK spares Flair for some reason and Flair rolls him up, angering Michaels. HHH is left with Hardy and Jeff does really well, but the pedigree gets HHH the victory
2. Jamie Noble (w/ Jimmy Yang and Torrie Wilson) def. John Morrison (w/ The Miz) (8 mins) The crowd needs to breathe a bit after that hot opener, this can be a fun little match and some skirmish while we wait for the title rematch between Miz & Morrison vs. Jung Dragons. Morrison is in charge, but Miz creeps on Torrie and it gets chaotic outside the ring. Morrison is distracted and Noble wins with a small package 3. WWE IC Title: Chris Jericho def. William Regal (c) (13 mins) Jericho really delivered in 2008, especially after the heel turn, but his return came at a time when the main event scene was quite packed and so he can focus on the IC Title for now, looking to be the only 5 time champion ever. He has history with Regal, they would have a solid match here and Jericho debuts the codebreaker to win the title
4. WWE US Title: Fit Finlay (w/ Hornswoggle) def. MVP (c) (11 mins) No, Hornswoggle won't be in DX, the Cruiserweight champion or the GM, but he can be useful simply being Finlay's mascot and supporting his babyface turn. MVP looks down to Finlay and they fight a harsh match, Matt Hardy gets involved to cost MVP the title and he does, as Finlay hits the celtic cross on and pins MVP for the title change
5. ECW Title: CM Punk (c) (w/ Kelly Kelly) def. Chavo Guerrero (8 mins) This happened and it was alright, but I won't go with Chavo as champion because that's not needed. I am simply in need of a solid title defence here to get Punk to 'Mania with the belt, so Chavo can get the job done here without issues.
6. WWE Title: John Cena (w/ Maria) def. Randy Orton (c) (w/ Candice Michelle) by DQ (13 mins) The explanation of Cena willing to have the title shot at No Way Out instead wasn't the greatest but it made sense due to the personal feud, as Orton was the one that injured him in the first place. At the same time, the non-finish helped the 'Mania build and so it's needed. Orton keeps the belt, but Cena hits the FU and stands tall at the end
7. WWE World Title Elimination Chamber: Edge (c) def. Rey Mysterio, The Undertaker, Batista, The Big Show and Matt Hardy (28 mins) This has potential, but I need some smoke and mirrors so I don't spoil too much here. Show is the mystery sixth participants, but uses his KO punch on Batista before the match and this create a big fight. Taker gets involved and Edge closes the chamber door, so Taker cannot get in and participate, which is a cheap but needed way to avoid Edge/Taker before 'Mania. Batista gives Edge a run for his money, but he's hurt from the punch and Edge spears him to retain

WWE WrestleMania 24 30.03.2008 Orlando, FL
A. WWE Tag Titles: Speed Of Sound (c) (w/ Ashley) def. Cody Rhodes & DH Smith (8 mins) I think this has great potential, but the card is loaded and I can only give them the preshow unfortunately. It's face vs. face, the two young newcomers face an established team in a nice little opener. Ashley, back in action, is supporting the champions again. Kendrick pins Smith with the sliced bread to retain
B. WWE US Title: Fit Finlay (c) (w/ Hornswoggle) def. Kenny Doane (5 mins) Smackdown's roster is quite bad and, while I can't find spots for Raw's William Regal and JBL, Doane is all I can give Finlay for a title defence, so it has to be on the preshow. Quick little match for them, without any complications or massive build up. Finlay easily retains with the celtic cross
1. Money In The Bank: Jeff Hardy def. Carlito, MVP, Matt Hardy, Kane and Kofi Kingston (15 mins) You got lots of dynamics here: Kane as the only big guy, Jeff's redemption, Matt vs. Jeff, Matt vs. MVP, Kingston PPV debut and so on. Kingston takes a scary bump, but the Hardyz steal the show and they finish MVP with a crazy dive. It's Matt vs. Jeff at the end and Jeff takes the briefcase to win the MITB, then hugging his brother
2. WWE IC Title: Chris Jericho (c) def. Mr. Kennedy (12 mins) As I said before, this is not the best way to use Jericho but it's way better than throwing him in the MITB or faking a WWE title feud and ending it after 2 weeks. Jericho vs. Kennedy would have been fun due to their respective promos, hopefully solid in the ring too as it was 2008. Jericho retains the belt with the codebreaker
3. WWE World Tag Titles: John Morrison & The Miz (c) def. The Jung Dragons (w/ Torrie Wilson) (6 mins) A lot of matches are going long, so it's not bad having a short one and especially one that can be quick and solid like this one. The feud is about to end, Jung Dragons want their belts back but the champions are on a roll and seem to have great chemistry. Morrison gets revenge on Noble and pins him with the starship pain
4. Street Fight: Batista def. Umaga (w/ Candice Michelle) (8 mins) Yes, this was on the original card and kind of sucked, but I'm redoing it because the stipulation will surely help them. Plus, Umaga has been a total monster in my version and he deserves a match here, so Batista can have a good victory in a hard fought match. Umaga refuses Candice's help, but he gets pinned after the batista bomb
5. Career vs. Career: Shawn Michaels def. Ric Flair (20 mins) This was great, of course. The build to the match was good, the promos were memorable, the match itself delivered, the finish was incredible... but what was missing? HBK had nothing to prove, no title or career. Both careers need to be on the line here, yes this can be predictable but wasn't it anyway? At least HBK can have a reason to win and still be sorry about retiring his idol. This is a huge deal, especially for the way I have (or tried to) book Flair since his face turn in 2005
6. No Disqualification Match: Floyd Mayweather (w/ his crew) def. The Big Show (11 mins) I'm not a big fan of celebrity matches but hey, this was good! Not only it was good, but media loved it and, even though he lost, Show was still booked like a monster and came back with a very relevant program. I mean, it's 2022 and look back at Floyd's record. Show destroys everybody, but Floyd knocks him out with brass knuckles and wins
7. ECW Title: CM Punk (c) (w/ Kelly Kelly) def. Shelton Benjamin (12 mins) It's loaded card and, after 2 matches like HBK/Flair and Floys/Show, you can expect fans to struggle a bit. This would have been good though, it's 2 good competitors that never really faced off on PPV. Benjamin can do a lot in Ecw due to his tenure with the company, but here Punk catches him with the GTS and pins him to retain
8. WWE Title: Randy Orton (c) (w/ Candice Michelle) def. John Cena (w/ Maria) and Triple H (15 mins) I'm mostly repeating what they did here. Orton/Cena has the injury story, H/Orton comes from Evolution, DX etc., Cena/H have only wrestled once in 2006 and are still rivals. Match was mostly good, I'm adding the fact that Candice tries to get Umaga to interfere but he refuses and goes away without helping Orton. Orton debuts the punt kick and, as in reality, upsets Cena to win clean
9. WWE World Title: The Undertaker def. Edge (c) (22 mins) I'm also keeping this, of course. Feud started in May 2007 when Edge got the best of a wounded Taker to win the title and has been running from him ever since, but now they're finally facing off one on one. Taker tombstones both Major Bros on the go home Smackdown and Edge is now completely on his own. It was a great main event and Edge shows that he can hang with Taker, but the Phenom wins the belt back with the tombstone
This goes on a break and will continue next week!

WWE Backlash 27.04.2008 Baltimore, MD
1. WWE US Title: Fit Finlay (c) (w/ Hornswoggle) def. MVP and Matt Hardy (13 mins) Finlay's reign is in jeopardy, as both MVP and Hardy want the US Title back and their rivalry is still sour, as they just costed each other the MITB with a crazy bump that took both of them out. Finlay doesn't care about making more enemies and doesn't let them dictate pace. Hardy hits the twist of fate on Finlay, but Finlay beats Hardy with the celtic cross
2. WWE IC Title: William Regal def. Chris Jericho (c), Mr. Kennedy and Carlito (11 mins) After the IC Title involvement was the only good idea for Jericho at 'Mania, his reign is already coming to an end as I need him for bigger and better things. A multi man fits the story, so Jericho doesn't even get beaten but one of the former champions here. Carlito is almost done here and Regal screws him with a roll up to win the title
3. Batista draws The Big Show by double DQ (8 mins) Batista and Show had a lot of issues after the Chamber at No Way Out, but the feud only explodes after 'Mania as they are both free. Batista makes fun of Show for losing to a non-wrestler, while Show says that beating Umaga means nothing, he's the biggest big man of the WWE. They have a crazy brawl and it ends in a double DQ
4. Shawn Michaels def. Jeff Hardy (15 mins) Hardy is Mr. MITB and cuts a promo about "making it", but HBK says that he conquered his boyhood dream too and Hardy has done nothing until he actually wins the belt. This continues Hardy vs. HHH and HBK wants to avenge the loss against Hardy at the elimination chamber. Hardy tries a complicated swanton and Michaels wins with the sweet chin music, maybe proving that Hardy still has a lot to do before being a top star
5. ECW Title: Shelton Benjamin def. CM Punk (c) (w/ Kelly Kelly) (12 mins) Benjamin gets a 'Mania rematch after winning another contender match and now wants to rely on highspots to win, saying that Punk can't top his spectacular moves. Punk gets offended and this causes a bit of mind games, as he tries to show Benjamin that he's wrong, but Benjamin catches Punk with the t-bone suplex for the title change
6. WWE World Title: The Undertaker (c) def. Edge (17 mins) Edge immediately wants his rematch and seems more obsessed than ever about being the world champion. Taker appreciates how long Edge resisted while he was chasing him, but Edge refuses any kind of compliment and does anything to get Taker's attention and forcing him to fight, like destroying a casket with Taker's mannequin in it. It's another open match, but once again Taker wins with the tombstone
7. WWE Title Elimination Match: John Cena (w/ Maria) def. Triple H, Randy Orton (c) and Umaga (25 mins) Umaga has a great win/losses record and a backstory with all the others, so having him here makes sense and also makes the match better. Orton wants help from Umaga, but he's really unreliable due to his craziness, while HHH and Cena never really liked each other. They all gang on Umaga and Orton pins him with the other two helping him, then Orton eliminates HHH and then Cena hits Orton with the FU to win the title back

WWE Judgment Day 18.05.2008 Omaha, NE
1. WWE US Title: Fit Finlay (c) (w/ Hornswoggle) def. MVP (13 mins) MVP gets another shot after protesting a lot and pointing out that Matt Hardy was beaten at Backlash, not him, with Matt of course continuing his feud with MVP at the same time. MVP accuses Finlay of being soft now but that is not the face and Finlay retains when Hardy stops MVP using the belt and Finlay uses the celtic cross to win
2. WWE Tag Titles: The Fortunate Sons def. Speed Of Sound (c) (w/ Ashley) and The Rednecks (w/ Mickie James) (11 mins) Cody Rhodes turns heel on Harry Smith and allies himself with Ted DiBiase, they are the Fortunate Sons. They get a shot at Speed of Sound, together with the usual reliable team of Cade and Murdoch. It's a fun and fresh match, DiBiase uses a dirty roll up on Kendrick and incredibly the Fortunate Sons are the new champions
3. ECW Title: Shelton Benjamin (c) def. Chavo Guerrero (10 mins) Chavo turns face after coming back from the Rey Mysterio feud and keeps being a good hand in the ring and outside, still professing his love for treadition and his family's legacy, like Eddie's start in ECW. They had a feud in 2005 and can have a solid match here, Benjamin retains with the t-bone suplex
4. WWE World Tag Titles: The Edgeheads def. John Morrison & The Miz (c) (8 mins) This is heels vs. heels, as both teams are not fan favourites at all. Ryder and Hawkins are still with Edge, even though he's kind of going by himself now due to his obsession with the World Title. It's an even match and we get a title change when Ryder uses the zigzag on Miz for the pinfall
5. Triple H & Shawn Michaels def. Jeff Hardy & Chris Jericho (15 mins) At the contrary, this is a face vs. face. DX is in business against Hardy, who has a mentor/student relationship with DX, and Jericho, an old rival of both Michaels and HHH. It's a clean and hopefully good match, HHH beats Hardy with the pedigree. They all shake hands, but Jericho is furious and attacks Michaels after the match, turning heel
6. WWE World Title: The Undertaker (c) def. Edge, Batista and The Big Show (16 mins) Taker/Edge is a hot feud and mixes with Batista/Show, after a tag match on Smackdown that ends up in mayhem as there are no allies and everybody just wants to win the title. Edge is still obsessed, while Show wants to prove Batista that he is the bigger big man. Edge spears Batista, but the referee instead counts a pinfall from Taker on Show and Taker retains, making Edge go even crazier
7. WWE Title Steel Cage Match: John Cena (c) (w/ Maria) def. Randy Orton (15 mins) This is their blowoff for a feud that lasted almost a year, as Cena got his belt back from Orton but now has to defend it against him and without any interferences. If kept short, this could have still been interesting even though none of them was shining in spring 2008. Orton tries to climb the cage, but Cena catches him with the FU and pins him to retain

WWE One Night Stand 01.06.2008 San Diego, CA
1. WWE Tag Titles Singapore Cane Match: The Fortunate Sons (c) def. Speed Of Sound (w/ Ashley) (11 mins) Rhodes and DiBiase are really arrogant and entitled, even though they have been around just for a bit at this point, so the babyface have a good chance for some rematch because singapore canes are legal and the champions can be beaten up. Rhodes gets the victory on London with a cross rhodes after a cane shot
2. I Quit Match: MVP def. Matt Hardy (14 mins) Blowoff of this infinite feud, that arrives at the right time as MVP is now ready for a bigger push and Hardy is going to Ecw anyway to relaunch his career again. Whoever quits has to also quit Smackdown, that is the gimmick. MVP has no remorse and uses a bat to make Hardy quit, winning the feud and staying on Smackdown
3. Dog Collar Match: Shawn Michaels def. Chris Jericho, Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy (15 mins)
I've got a few connections here, with Jericho's heel turn, Hardy's push, HBK issue with Jericho and a mad Orton for losing the title. The stipulation sees 4 dog collars, who knows if it would have been possible, or maybe 2 dog collars between 2 wrestlers only? Michaels gets the best of Jericho and pins Orton, while Hardy again is out for taking a crazy bump
4. Last Man Standing Match: The Big Show def. Batista (8 mins) Their feud continues and here I need to put Show over for a good solid main event run, while Batista is going to Raw and can restart, even though I don't want him to be beaten in a decisive way. They fight here and have a double bump on the announcers table, Show gets up magically at 9 and he wins this hard match 5. ECW Title Ladder Match: Shelton Benjamin (c) def. CM Punk (w/ Kelly Kelly) (13 mins) A good way to blowoff this feud, as a ladder match can be a good cherry on the cake of what hopefully would have been a good series of matches. I think this can deliver and Punk is leaving Ecw now, so he can pass the torch without issues. They both climb the ladder and Benjamin gets rid of Punk, grabbing the belt to retain
6. WWE Title Falls Count Anywhere Match: Triple H def. John Cena (c) (w/ Maria) (15 mins) They have never faced after 'Mania 22 and the two, even if sometimes forced to be on the same babyface team, have never been friends or fully liked each other. The non-rules add a good layer to this, it should deliver just fine and still be a luxury as it's not even the main event. It's an open match, but then HHH uses a pedigree on a chair to win the title
7. WWE World Title vs. Career TLC Match: Edge def. The Undertaker (c) (20 mins) Edge is absolutely obsessed with winning the title back and, if Taker accepts the TLC rules as Edge is an expert, he's determined to put his whole career on the line (on my timeline, this has a lot of value lol). This was a great main event and it goes on the way it did, but Big Show interferes and helps Edge chokeslamming Taker on opened tables so Edge can win the title back

DRAFT 2008
RAW Rey Mysterio - still injured, first time on Raw CM Punk - moving on from Ecw, Kelly Kelly still with him Batista - back on Raw after 3 years on top of Smackdown Kane - nothing much else to do in ECW Jamie Noble - good hand for the roster Layla - starts managing William Regal straight away Kofi Kingston - still undefeated in 1 vs. 1 matches in Ecw
SMACKDOWN Jeff Hardy - MITB holder Umaga - now split from Orton and Candice Mr. Kennedy - doesn't have a lot of time left Triple H - current WWE champion Harry Smith - single after splitting from Cody Rhodes Brian Kendrick - turns heel on London after they lose the belts Maria - first time without managing Cena Shelton Benjamin - good hand Carlito - needs character development
ECW Matt Hardy - lost the MVP feud, can be a top guy in this roster Super Crazy - good hand Fit Finlay - he can afford losing some matches and putting people over
On the same Raw of the draft, there are 2 title changes - John Cena beats Edge for the World Title, drafting the title on Raw with him - Carlito beats Fit Finlay for the US Title, keeping the title on Smackdown
WWE Night of Champions 29.06.2008 Dallas, TX 1. Paul London, CM Punk & Kofi Kingston (w/ Kelly Kelly) def. William Regal & The Fortunate Sons (w/ Layla) (15 mins)
I think this would have been a great opener, you got Regal and Fortunate Sons holding IC Title and Tag Titles looking down at their athletic opponents. Feud based on respect are created and this also starts the Punk/Kingston tag team. The babyfaces win when Kingston pins DiBiase with the trouble in paradise
2. WWE US Title: Carlito (c) def. Mr. Kennedy (11 mins) They both got drafted to Smackdown and can share a career of missed opportunities so far. Carlito has the babyface redemption spirit, but Kennedy just get meaner as a heel and tries to cheat to get back to glory with a title run. They have an open match and Carlito counters a dirty roll up to one of his own and retains
3. Chris Jericho def. Shawn Michaels (17 mins) They finally meet one on one as the feud is getting bigger, Jericho has debuted his cold-hearted heel persona while Michaels refuses to be blamed to be put on the shelf, which is Jericho's final goal as HBK wouldn't pass the torch like Flair did. Jericho vows to fight correctly to show his ability, but he's in trouble and kicks HBK low before beating him with the codebreaker
4. Jeff Hardy def. The Big Show by countout (10 mins) They both have good momentum: Show has been a monster since his return and got a big feud with Batista, while Hardy holds the MITB and got drafted along with his frenemy HHH. I don't want any of them to lose here, so Hardy hits a crazy dive and magically comes back to the ring while Show can't. Show is furious and chokeslams Hardy after the match
5. ECW Title: Matt Hardy def. Shelton Benjamin (c) (13 mins) Benjamin refuses to be drafted to Smackdown as he's the ECW champion and dares anyone to stop him from keeping the belt, so it's decided he can keep the belt until he loses it. Unfortunately for him, Hardy is on a roll here and, despite Benjamin's abiloyu, manages to hit him with the twist of fate and win the belt
6. WWE World Title: John Cena (c) def. Batista by DQ (12 mins) This is a first time ever, as they are finally on the same roster. The have always been "friends", but Batista says that he's back on his show to win the title and Cena, who's been Raw's top guy for the last 3 years, doesn't appreciate his comments and so there is enough heat. Non finish as I need to milk this until Summer Slam, Batista has enough and uses a chair to keep Cena down
7. WWE Title: Triple H (c) def. Edge (18 mins) I can live with that DQ as this is the main event, another first time ever and surely and appetible match. They share a "draft" storyline, as HHH claims that Edge only got big on Smackdown because he wasn't there (Paul Heyman @ons) while Edge complains that HHH's politics can't stop him now. Edge is still furious about losing the World Title to Cena and wants the WWE Title, but loses to the pedigree here

WWE Great American Bash 20.07.2008 Uniondale, NY
1. WWE US Title: Shelton Benjamin def. Carlito (c) (12 mins) As I said, I needed to take the belt off Finlay and give it to Carlito, but the Carribbean needs some time off to refreshen his character so he's losing it here already. Benjamin, on the other side, turns babyface and was doing really well with the gold standard persona. Benjamin wins clean with the t-bone suplex and gets the belt
2. WWE IC Title: William Regal (c) (w/ Layla) def. Paul London (13 mins) I think this would have been a good snug bout, Regal works stiff and London sells really well so that is a good match. Regal is getting more arrogant since being with Layla and hates youngsters like London, but the challenger gives him a lot of problems in the ring. Regal retains after using the brass knuckle with a punch
3. Parking Lot Brawl: The Big Show (w/ Maria) def. Jeff Hardy (10 mins) Maria turns heel as she just pretended to be silly as a way to be managed by Cena and make lots of money, now she sides with Show. The feud continues and I need a way to push Show to a title match without getting Hardy beaten, Show chokeslams Hardy on top of a limo and Hardy passes out so Show wins by KO
4. Batista def. JBL (7 mins) Believe it or not, I enjoyed JBL's last run more than his previous one and he starts wrestling in spring building up to this match. JBL fought both Cena and Batista and says Cena is way better, which infuriates Batista of course as he's waiting for his rematch. They have a quick brawl and Batista goes over with the batista bomb
5. ECW Title: Matt Hardy (c) def. Chavo Guerrero (11 mins) Chavo's role in ECW has been quite useful, as he's a good hand that is credible enough for a title match and can give pretty much everyone a good match. Hardy just won the title and the two talk about the fact that Chavo is a veteran too and wants that nod. It's an open match, Hardy retains with the twist of fate
6. WWE Title: Triple H (c) def. MVP (13 mins) I really liked how MVP grew and by 2008 I think he was deserving of a nice title shot on PPV, even though he wasn't really ready to run with the ball. HHH faces the arrogant opponent and beats him with the pedigree. Postmatch, Hardy tries to cash in the MITB even though he's injured, but a bitter MVP punches him and stops him
7. WWE World Title: John Cena (c) def. Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho (17 mins) Jericho wants a title shot after beating HBK, but then also Michaels pins Jericho in a tag match on Raw, so a triple threat is made and, apart from being a good main event, it's a good way to continue the feud. HBK is exausthed on the floor but he trips Jericho, distracting him and so Cena hits the FU on Jericho to retain the title

WWE Summer Slam 17.08.2008 Indianapolis, IN
1. Hell In A Cell Match: The Undertaker def. Edge (20 mins) This was the main event of the show, but for various reasons I need it earlier in the card and distant from the other gimmick match so... why not open the show in a different way? The feud was great anyway and the match delivered big time. Taker/Edge is finally finished as a feud after 1+ year, Taker hits the tombstone and wins the match
2. WWE Tag Titles: CM Punk & Kofi Kingston (w/ Kelly Kelly) def. The Fortunate Sons (c) (12 mins) This is a more conventional opener if you will, but has the hard job of following that Hell in a Cell. Action would still be good and hopefully there would be some decent heat thanks to the feud being about 2 months in now. Punk gets the hot tag after Kingston sells an injury and hits the GTS on Rhodes, then pinning him for the title change
3. MVP def. Jeff Hardy (10 mins) The actual opener of the show and I'll keep it, both wrestlers are trying desperately to get to the next level after a good uppercarder stint. Hardy is mad at MVP for stopping his MITB cash in and wants some revenge, but here Hardy gets screwed again when MVP hits him with the briefcase itself and pins him with his feet on the ropes
4. Unsanctioned Match: Shawn Michaels def. Chris Jericho (18 mins) I mean, the segment with Jericho punching HBK's wife was great and all, but it's Raw material. It's a big four and here I need another chapter of their great storyline, not a segment. HBK wants revenge for Jericho hitting his wife on Raw and he's more violent than ever before. HBK is a fury and wins with 2 sweet chin music on a bloody Jericho
5. ECW Title: Matt Hardy (c) def. Fit Finlay (w/ Hornswoggle) (9 mins) Again, following a HBK/Jericho match in 2008 is never easy, but these two are two professionals and solid wrestlers so they will be fine. It's a face vs. face and Finlay tries to use his size to get some advantage, but Hardy is quicker than his opponent. Hardy finds a roll up and wins with a flashy pin, Hardy retains but this way the feud can continue
6. WWE Title: Triple H (c) def. The Big Show (w/ Maria) (11 mins) Show is having a great push thanks to his lethal KO punch and so far, if we exclude Floyd knocking him out, he's been unpinned since his return. HHH finds a difficult challanger and it's a hard match for him, but certainly better than the one against Khali... HHH blocks the punch with a chair shot and hits a pedigree on the same chair to retain
7. WWE World Title: Batista def. John Cena (c) (15 mins) After their non finish, there must be a winner here. On the go home show, Orton gets suspended for debuting the punt kick on Cena. Cena gets cleared, but the concussion is bad for him and we can see the kick affecting his performance. Cena seems ready for the FU, but Batista slides away and hits the batista bomb to knock Cena out and win the title

WWE Unforgiven 07.09.2008 Cleveland, OH
1. WWE World Title Scramble Match: Chris Jericho def. Batista (c), Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio and JBL (20 mins) I liked the scramble match stipulation and so I am using it here and keep 4 of the 5 participants (HBK replaces Kane). Batista has a tough title defence, he's friends with Mysterio and they have a common rival in JBL, while this is another chapter of Jericho/HBK of course. I'm keeping the finish, Batista is pinning JBL to retain but the referee instead counts Jericho's pin on Mysterio and Y2J is the new champion
2. WWE Tag Titles: John Morrison & The Miz (w/ Maryse) def. The Major Players (c) (8 mins) Ryder and Hawkins, tired of not being considered by Edge, are now going by themselves as the Major Players (smart and fitting name here). However, Miz and Morrison are back in title contention with Maryse as a manager and Miz is determined to do well to impress her. Miz pins Ryder to win the titles back
3. WWE IC Title: William Regal (c) (w/ Layla) def. Super Crazy (7 mins) Roster is a bit thin and so I have to use Crazy here, not that I don't like him as a performer but he was pretty much done by fall of 2008 and he's not a major threat to Regal. Crazy dives and gets some cool offence in, but he then taps out to the regal stretch and Regal retains
4. WWE US Title: Brian Kendrick (w/ Vladimir Kozlov) def. Shelton Benjamin (c) (11 mins) Since his heel turn, Kendrick brags about being a big guy and is accompanied by Kozlov as his bodyguard (Kozlov will never be pushed, this is his role). Benjamin turns face for this feud, as he's more respected thanks to his abilities. It's an open match and Kozlov helps Kendrick find a dirty roll up for the title change
5. ECW Title Scramble Match: Matt Hardy (c) def. Chavo Guerrero, Evan Bourne, Fit Finlay (w/ Hornswoggle) and Tommy Dreamer (20 mins) Hardy fights his current rivals, you got Dreamer in there for some nostalgia and then young sensation Bourne here as a wildcard. I'm replacing Henry and Miz with Bourne and Dreamer, so things should be better than the original match. Dreamer has a good run for a few minutes, but Hardy pins Chavo and manages to retain
6. WWE Tag Titles: CM Punk & Kofi Kingston (c) (w/ Kelly Kelly) def. The Fortunate Sons (13 mins) It's a rematch from Summer Slam, useful to keep the scramble matches far from each other, but also because these two teams always did good things against each other. Rhodes and DiBiase seem a bit argumentative, so this hurts them in the long run and Kingston uses it to find the trouble in paradise on DiBiase and win the match
7. WWE Title Scramble Match: Triple H (c) def. The Big Show (w/ Maria), Jeff Hardy, MVP and The Undertaker (20 mins) Show and Taker are in, Kendrick and Benjamin are out, so more star power at least. Show and Taker fight their own match almost, they never get pinned and spend the last 5 minutes brawling outside to start a feud. MVP, Hardy and HHH are fighting for the title. HHH has the last pinfall and Hardy tries a swanton, but MVP again hurts Hardy by covering HHH's body and so time runs out and HHH retain
8. WWE Title: Jeff Hardy def. Triple H (c) (3 mins) ... but Hardy, frustrated, uses his MITB. Hardy hits MVP in the face with the briefcase to take him out. HHH stands back up for the pedigree and we think it's all over, but Hardy counters it to a roll up like Armageddon 2007 and Hardy wins the belt. HHH is pissed, but hands Hardy the belt and congratulates him
