SEGMENT - We remembered the big fight between Zbyszko and Pillman last week with a short video. Frank Reed had both been banned until the Crockett Cup show. This week Pillman will be among the announcers. He enthusiastically comes to the announce table at the opening of the show. Pillman also talks about the fight: “I don't care if I get punished. Larry started it all. So I answered him. How ironic that someone who claims to be the face of the company is punished by that company itself! It's a scandal that will never happen during my championship."
Butch Reed defeated Sean Morley in 4:21 Butch pinned Morley with Gorilla Press Slam. Butch, who has a new face turn, is playing his first match. SEGMENT - At the entrance of the building, Jackie Fargo is reflected on the screens while being hijacked! We cannot see the face of the attackers. By chance, the attackers, who heard the sound of the police car passing by, immediately fled. Dynamite Kid (w/Dave Taylor) defeated Perry Saturn in 5:21 Dynamite pinned Saturn with Diving Headbutt. Dynamite was not in a good mood today and did not perform well. SEGMENT - After Dynamite Kid beat both tag team champions in the last two weeks, Pro UK's (Dynamite & Dave Taylor) request for a World Tag titles match is turned down by Lanny The Clever. The two reveal that they have decided to face former AWA World Tag champions The Rock'n'Roll Express instead. Lanny says the Dynamite Kid has "had enough luck". He says it is unreasonable for him to compete with them for the third time. He also found it very boring. 🏆 Crockett Cup 1st Round | Tully Blanchard defeated Dean Malenko in 9:22 Tully pinned Malenko with a Slingshot Suplex following interference from Mike Enos. Pillman at the announce table immediately comes to help Malenko after the attack. Enos immediately runs out of the ring. With this match, the first rounds of the Crockett Cup tournament were completed. Ricky Steamboat defeated Doug Furnas (w/Paul Ellering) in 10:39 Steamboat pinned Furnas with Diving Crossbody. With this match, Steamboat has signaled that it can now return to the routine match period.
SEGMENT - We learn that Pillman will also be among the announcers on Wednesday's Taboo Hour show. Also next week, AWA World champion Larry Zbyszko will be among the announcers.

I hope Blanchard vs. Lawler is a classic! It is already in my mind. I think it will come down to Lawler vs. Red Hook, with Lawler getting the W. As much as I love Taz's in-ring career, it seems only right that Lawler would win, but maybe that is the swerve.

SEGMENT - Brian Pillman is among the announcers tonight, as he was at the last Championship Wrestling show. While Pillman criticizes him for being suspended because of AWA champion Zbyszko, an argument erupts between him and Bockwinkel at the very beginning of the show. Bockwinkel wants Zbyszko to be respected no matter what. Because he says he is the AWA champion now, as he was in the past.
Jeff Jarrett defeated Rob Van Dam in 6:07 Jarrett pinned RVD with Piledriver.
THE NB SHOW WITH NICK BOCKWINKEL - Joining the new episode of The NB Show, DDP says he was not behind the attack on Fargo last Monday. "I hate both Jackie and Owen, yes. But I'm not behind this attack. Maybe my fans attacked them for what they did to me? Who knows."
Owen Hart defeated John Kronus in 5:15 Owen submitted Kronus with Sharpshooter. In the absence of Fargo, who was attacked, Owen was seen to be even more aggressive. Owen's performance skills improved with this match.
Red Hook Machine (w/Jesse Ventura) defeated Leif Cassidy (w/Bart Sawyer) in 6:45 Red Hook submitted Cassidy with Kati Hajime after interference from Jesse Ventura. As a direct finalist of the Crockett Cup, Red Hook puts on a successful match just like a "real" finalist.
The Samoan Lancers (Fatu and Samu) (w/Afa) defeated Rental Killers Inc. (Ed Ewers and Tom Lindman) via DQ in 8:02 Someone in the audience, sitting with his hat down in front of his face, discreetly gives Ewers brass knuckles. Ewers hits Fatu with this. But the referee gets caught. The referee disqualifies them. We see that the mysterious person who helped Ewers quickly left the arena. Announcers suspect that this person may be the person behind Rental Killers. But no one stopped him. With this match, Fatu's rumble skills improved.
STAR REVIEW WITH TULLY BLANCHARD - Blanchard comments on his appearance in the quarterfinals of the Crockett Cup tournament by beating Dean Malenko at the Championship Wrestling show in this episode: “I put on a really great match. Look at that, those punches, that suplex move. You can see that I am the one who will win the tournament, I know that!” Blanchard put on an amazing performance. The segment received AWA's highest ratings in the last 2 years and dominated the show. (A – 92)
SEGMENT - It is reminded again that the AWA champion Larry Zbyszko will be among the announcers next week.

SEGMENT - After last week, AWA World champion Larry Zbyszko is among the announcers this week. When Zbyszko arrived and said that he was very bored and not happy at all to be at this table, Mr. T stands up and reacts to him. Trongard intervenes and calms him down. Throughout the show, Zbyszko tells Pillman this Sunday that he will pay for what he has done. He was particularly disturbed by the fact that he had himself crammed into the announcer's table.
Lanny The Clever (w/Chris Candido) defeated Mike Barton in 6:04 Lanny pinned Barton with Honor Roll. Candido's performance on ringside was successful. Lanny and Barton's in-ring chemistry worked and the match got good ratings. With this match, Barton's performance skills improved.
Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit defeated Unorthodox Cirice (Bam Bam Bigelow and Mike Enos) (w/Jesse Ventura) in 7:24 Benoit submitted Enos with Crippler Crossface. Sandman, who was injured by Bundy in the past weeks during the match, came to the ringside and distracted the heel team. This is how the Malenko/Benoit duo won. Sandman also wanted to attack Ventura, but Ventura escaped in time. Benoit's rumble and performance skills improved with this match.
THE NB SHOW WITH NICK BOCKWINKEL - Jesse Ventura is a guest in this tape broadcast episode of The NB Show. Ricky revisits the attack on the Steamboat. After mentioning Steamboat's start of routine in-ring matches last week, he recalls months ago: "Ricky, congratulations to you. After all the misfortunes you've been through, you're still able to keep going. You play matches like you can achieve something. Somehow you win and then you're happy. These are so beautiful things. But there's a lot you don't know. Who do you think attacked you after Rage in a Cage? "Why wouldn't the brain behind my creation want to take responsibility for such an attack? Maybe the attacker is really someone else? And maybe I KNOW?"
SEGMENT - We see the current status of the Crockett Cup 1992 tournament:
🎖️ AWA International Television Championship | Diamond Dallas Page (c) defeated Fatu (w/Afa) in 8:31 DDP pinned Fatu with The Diamond Cutter. With this match, DDP retains his title for the fourth time. It was by far the worst match of the night. The show was going really well until this match.
SEGMENT - Before the next match, Crockett Cup finalist Red Hook Machine cuts a promo: "It's true Ricky, what you heard. Mr. Ventura knows who his attacker is. And this person is such a person that you will lose your mind! How painful. Now you won't be able to concentrate on the match without thinking about it."
Red Hook Machine (w/Jesse Ventura) defeated Ricky Steamboat in 12:12 Red Hook submitted Steamboat with Kati Hajime. Indeed, as Red Hook said, Steamboat is having a hard time focusing on the match, confused by what Ventura is saying. During the match, he would occasionally come out of the ring and pull Ventura by the collar, "Who is that?" he asks questions.
