Even though he asks questions one after another, he cannot get an answer. He is asked questions about Sandoval being the contender for the AWA championship, why he hasn't been around for a while and what he is planning, but he just keeps walking. When the question finally comes, "Are you after Black Panthers Rising?", he nods his head in approval. When asked if he is Butch Reed, he pauses for a moment and looks at the camera. Meanwhile, Butch Reed is coming there! He starts talking to the masked man. He tells him not to get involved in this. So we learn that the man in the black panther mask is someone else. (63)

The roll of current champions is amazing right now. So... what's the deal with The Prowler? I'll find out soon.
I'm also curious to see who's behind the Black Panther mask and damn afraid that it might be New Jack. But nah, you wouldn't do that, would you?

I could see Red Hook Machine coming out during a show in Texas and cutting a promo on the crowd. Taunting the Texas crowd that he's their champion. International Television Championship is a great championship name IMO. It would work in several of my promotion since they are broadcasted internationally. I will have to look up the rules for the Tag Team Challenge. I think I want to try that out. I have a save with a promotion having 14 teams right now. So that might work.

AWA Championship Wrestling Episode 122 Monday, Week 3, July 1993
🎙️ Announcers - Rod Trongard, Eric Bischoff and Larry Zbyszko 🏟️ Attendance - 6,814 📺 Rating - 3.99 (2,599,170 viewers on DSF, TBS, Telelatino, WGN) *NEW RECORD* ✍️ Show Grade - B (79)
🎖️ CHAMPIONS 🎖️ AWA World Heavyweight Title: Shawn Michaels AWA International Television Title: Mr. Sandman AWA World Tag Team Titles: Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit AWA Texas Heavyweight Title: Red Hook Machine
Team Challenge Series Live-Scoreboard Steamboat’s Dragons: 6 pts – 8 pts: Lawler’s Royalists (PRE-SHOW) Brian Pillman and Eddie Guerrero defeated Truckers Nest (Mudslide Barton and Mudslide Bradshaw) (w/Paul Ellering) in 5:51Pillman pinned Bradshaw with Air Pillman. (68) SEGMENT - At the opening of the show, the 8th Week TCS draw is held: We will watch the Owen Hart vs. Bam Bam Bigelow match today. Lawler cuts another promo next to the draw. But this time he takes the issue out of TCS because they are done with it now. He was already declaring his team the winner. What's important is what comes next. Lawler has openly stated that he covets the AWA title he lost years ago, which lasted almost a year. He clearly says that he has beaten Steamboat many times and that he is tired of him and that he will put an end to this with TCS and then take back the AWA championship. “Shawn was already brought into this company with all kinds of injustice and he ruined everyone's rights. Think of your best friend, Sandman! Do people who love Sandman ever think about what he went through? HE WAS SPOILED BY HIS BEST FRIEND! Shawn Michaels, you are a sly, arrogant ****. That's okay because I am too. Your problem is to act as if it doesn't happen! Blowing kisses to people every time you get in the ring and acting like you're their hero, yeah, that's your problem! "When I take that belt from you, there will be nothing left." Meanwhile, AWA champion Shawn Michaels is coming! He states that he has been listening to what was said for a while and that Lawler is losing his patience. “Look at him, he's talking to his best friend like someone who didn't screw him over for the belt! Are you trying to make us forget what you did to Ricky last year? Is this a tactic? Didn't you attack and maim him after the Rage in a Cage show in 1992? Wasn't he your best friend? Didn't you become tag team champions together? I will never allow you to make fun of people and more importantly my mind, Jerry, did you hear me? Also, you know what? I have defeated everyone who challenged me so far and showed how much I deserve this belt. As a former champion, I want to beat and destroy you too! Tonight, you and I, the title will be on the line!” Thus, the main event of the night is determined. The audience is going crazy! (77)The Great Muta (w/Skandor Akbar) defeated “American Sweet” Stan Lane in 6:22 by pinfall with a Shining Wizard
Muta wins by coming to the ring before this match and destroying an American jobber. Akbar, who got into the ring after that match, said, "We have been destroying the wrestlers of the so-called superpower of the world for weeks, that is enough, we want a serious opponent" and stated that they were waiting for a stronger American opponent and made an open challenge! Lane answers this call after a while. Although Lane dominated the match at the beginning, he lost at the end with Muta's low blow when Akbar distracted the referee. (71)SEGMENT - The attack continues after the match. After a while, the young talent Perry Saturn comes running to the rescue and saves Lane. (56)
SEGMENT - We see Ted DiBiase entering the building in a limousine for his match tonight. Just as DiBiase gets out of the car, Eddie Guerrero attacks him! DiBiase is stunned by this unexpected attack. Soon Bossman and several people with batons in their hands come to help. Eddie runs away quickly. (70)SEGMENT - We see Lanny The Clever. He talks about how, after years of effort in wrestling and all the students he has trained, he went to AWA president Bill Gagne and received the right to a contendership match. The match will start now. (56)AWA International Television Title Contendarship | Lanny The Clever (w/Chris Candido) defeated Tatanka (w/Wahoo McDaniel) in 8:37 by pinfall with a Sunset Flip
Lanny's opponent is Tatanka, who returned from injury in the past weeks. Tatanka shows a superior performance throughout the match. But at the end of the match, outside the ring, Candido attacks McDaniel from behind and beats him. When Tatanka realizes the situation, he goes out of the ring and beats Candido. While the fight continues, Jeff Jarrett comes out from the audience and beats Tatanka. At this time, the referee was arguing with Lanny in the ring and could not follow what was going on. Back in the ring, Lanny wins easily and becomes Sandman's opponent in the Team Challenge Series PPV. (63)SEGMENT - We see Mick Foley visiting the insane hospital where he used to stay for a while. Cameras follow him. Foley is hanging around in the mode of a former graduate student and is very excited. When he enters the hospital, he greets everyone one by one and tells them that they are his old friends, turning to the cameras. Afterwards, he comes to the room where he and Bob Backlund once stayed. Foley is momentarily stunned and emotional. Then, he takes out the sock that Backlund gave him after being involved in the match last week, and starts talking to him: Look, do you remember this place? What beautiful memories we had. You remember, right? You, me, Bob... Those were sweet days. (Screaming) SO WHAT HAPPENED NEXT? AWA came and took these good days from us. We won matches. We even made half a million dollars. But all of them slowly took pieces away from us, from our humanity. What's left? A pure and immaculate soul remained in me. As for you, you are already a sock. Not much has changed. What about Bob? What happened to him? You saw it, didn't you? HE HAS BECOME DEVIL! DEVILITY REMAINS! Bob why did you do this… Why… (73)Team Challenge Series | Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Owen Hart in 13:01
This match is held as a result of the draw drawn at the beginning of the night. Since Owen and Bigelow's chemistry is not very compatible, we cannot watch a good in-ring competition. But still, the high excitement of the TCS contest adds to the watchability of the match. During the match, Tom Prichard and Jimmy Del Ray attack, but Owen beats them both up and throws them out of the ring. Bigelow takes the upper hand at this point. When Owen somehow regains control of the match, this time Arn Anderson interferes in the match and thus makes him lose the match. Lawler's Royalists team thus widens the points difference once again. (63)PIPER'S PIT WITH RODDY PIPER - Mr. Sandman, who appeared on the screen for the first time after capturing the AWA International Television title, is the guest of this taped talk show. It is the best-rated segment of the night. Sandman says he is very happy to be the champion, but his mind is still on something else. He says there are things he can't digest and handle and everyone knows it. And this was the AWA championship: Honestly, Roddy, what this company has done to me over the last year has really tested my patience. Now owning this belt… I don't know, I feel like they gave me a consolation prize. Since I came to this company, my only goal has been "big gold". I was after it. And I still am. No matter what happens, I say it again, NO MATTER WHAT, I will be the champion of this company. Things might have been different if the current champion had been someone else and not Shawn Michaels. But we have a friendship with Shawn. It's the kind of friendship I don't want to ruin. Of course, we're not the best homies in the world. But I'm not going to sell him for a belt. I don't know what time will show for me. All I care about right now is this belt and the Crockett Cup. Yes you heard me. This year's Crockett Cup tournament. The tournament where I reached the final last year but could not play because I was injured. (84)Ted DiBiase defeated Ricky Morton in 5:38 by pinfall with a Hotshot It's a standard squash match. (65)
SEGMENT - After the match, DiBiase takes the microphone and invites Big Bossman to the ring. He says he has now appointed Bossman as protection manager. He also thanks him for preventing today's attack. He says he'll use all his wealth to put scumbags like Eddie back where they belong. (71)
AWA World Heavyweight Championship | Shawn Michaels (c) defeated Jerry Lawler in 15:25 by pinfall with a Sweet Chin Music The match is incredibly eventful. We are watching a successful in-ring event, but in the middle, members of Lawler's team come to the entrance and want to interfere in the match. When Steamboat and his teammates coming from behind prevent this, a big fight breaks out at the entrance. Meanwhile, the match continues, of course. After a while, this time James Sandoval and Moadib want to interfere in the match. Shawn performs Sweet Chin Music on Moadib. Sandoval also wants to hit him with the chair in his hand. But when Shawn dodges it, he hits Lawler. Lawler falls straight to the ground. Shawn performs Sweet Chin Music on Sandoval and he immediately pins and retains his belt. (79)
SEGMENT - After the match, Unorthodox Cirice members, who are also on Lawler's Royalists team, come to the ring with Jesse Ventura. Ventura starts arguing with Lawler because of the loss, and the argument eventually turns into a scuffle. But since the UC team is outnumbered, they directly beat Lawler. The UC team finishes the night standing. Let's see what the unexpected disintegration within this leading team in TCS will cause. (80)

Too bad about The King! He is one of my favorite heels of all time. I have 2 separate saves that I am using him in atm. He is a main event babyface in one and a main event heel in the other. I could clearly see that Mr. Sandman segment in my mind. Great touch that it was a Piper's Pitt segment. Congrats on that audience rating too! Hopefully Great Muta breaks through to the main event scene. The Great Muta vs. HBK could be a kick ass match!

I'm only now properly getting the rules for Team Challenge Series and it seems very cool, tbh. The card for the PPV will have 3 matches of the Series, which makes it very interesting. Michaels will probably retain, as well as Sandman.
Btw, IRL Booker was really green until the mid/late 90's. How is he in your save?

I read an article on Wrestlecrap about it and I still didn't get it. What I took away was that it was during a horrible time for AWA.
