I really felt Foley's promo, tbh. It's easy to picture the funnier side of Mankind cutting it.
Oh yeah, Steamboat vs. Muta will be a great match-up and finally Muta has a rival that can stand up to him.
Dude, you make wrestling soooo dramatic ahah I'm not complaining, it's an interesting approach and having fun is what's important. Picturing DDP homeless is sad, tbh.
I'm sure Eddie can be an interesting International Champion. That surely pissed DiBiase off, so I'm curious to see how will he react and how is that factor impacting the feud.

Steamboat vs. Edge (with both in their primes) would be amazing and now you have me thinking about it... damn.
I was surprised not to see DiBiase or Bossman coming after Eddie following his win.
You had two pretty solid matches in a B show. Kudos.

AWA Championship Wrestling Episode 129 Monday, Week 2, September 1993
🎙️ Announcers - Rod Trongard, Eric Bischoff and Larry Zbyszko 🏟️ Attendance - 7,167 📺 Rating - 4.80 (3,123,290 viewers on DSF, TBS, Telelatino, WGN) ✍️ Show Grade - B+ (83)
🎖️ CHAMPIONS 🎖️ AWA World Heavyweight Title: Shawn Michaels AWA International Television Title: Eddie Guerrero AWA World Tag Team Titles: Unorthodox Cirice (King Kong Bundy and Red Hook Machine) AWA Texas Heavyweight Title: Red Hook Machine
SEGMENT - James Sandoval opens the show in the ring. His face is quite sullen. As always, he talks about the racial inequality he claims exists in the AWA: “I’m asking you here in front of millions of people, where is Moadib? Why is he no longer a part of this company? Do you think you killed the Black Panthers Rising? I’M STILL HERE! Even if I’m not here, there are millions of people in this country who think like me behind me. Moadib was punished for standing up to your white empire. Because he’s younger than me? Because he makes less money? Why him? Hey Bill Gagne, you know how your father reacted? He would have chosen money!” At this point, Eddie Guerrero, who won the AWA International Television title last week, comes to the ring and interrupts Sandoval’s speech: “James, do you want me to tell you what millions of people are really thinking? ENOUGH! Yes, that’s what they’re saying. Enough, James. Stop with this. Stop with these statements. Look at that gold I’m holding on to my shoulder, James! Look at this! This company has a Latino champion. Do you know what that means? It means all your claims are GARBAGE! You didn't become champion? It means you haven't worked hard enough. It means nothing else! Whether it's Frank Reed or Bill Gagne, you can't be fair to any president of this company! I won both the World Tag Team and International Television titles in this company!" Sandoval replies: "Looks like there's another WHITE guy who thinks he's a minority, ladies and gentlemen. Look at that! You whitened bastard! You're a champion, bravo. Well done. You're clearly not listening to me, you're the height of ignorance. I'm talking about being the face of this company, I'm talking about big gold! Tell me, how many times have you had the opportunity to win a world title ALONE at a major event? Have you ever been given that opportunity? The only difference between you and me is that I create my own opportunities, son. And now I'm creating another opportunity. I'm challenging you for that little belt you won! Next week, you and me!" Eddie accepts the challenge. It was a great segment. (96)
Crockett Cup First Round | Arn Anderson defeated Jerry Lynn in 6:51 by submission Anderson won the match and advanced to the quarter finals. Anderson and Lynn don’t seem to click. This also hurt the match rating. (60)
THE NB SHOW WITH NICK BOCKWINKEL - The guest of this episode is Unorthodox Cirice. Jesse Ventura is talking of course: “This month you will see how the only great army of the company will dominate the AWA, Nick. I can tell you that clearly. Actually, we would have finished this job cleanly last week. Of course, if those Hart family bastards hadn’t meddled in our business! Davey, Owen, do you want a fight? Do you want to continue meddling in our business? DO YOU WANT TO BE DESTROYED? No problem, it’s not what we didn’t do. Be ready and pay attention at all times, that’s the only advice I will give you.” At this moment, Red Hook comes in and tells Ventura that they have a surprise. They will announce this surprise next week in Championship Wrestling. The team is all smiles. Ventura looks very excited and impatient. In the meantime, Davey vs. Red Hook match is reminded again for tonight. (82)
SEGMENT - The Great Muta comes to the ring with Skandor Akbar by his side. He speaks for the first time on the microphone and cuts a promo about Ricky Steamboat: "It seems there are a lot of people willing to die for the USA. So be it, The Dragon" (83)
Crockett Cup First Round | Rob Van Dam defeated Jimmy Del Ray in 6:18 by pinfall with a Van Terminator RVD, who returned last week from a minor injury last month, is playing his first singles match. He wins a competitive mid-level match and advances to the quarterfinals. (60)
SEGMENT - At the backstage, Bob Backlund runs into Jim Cornette, who reconciled him with Mick Foley weeks ago. He tries to talk to him and wants to tell him something. He says he hasn’t been feeling well lately and is afraid of what he’ll do. Cornette doesn’t take this seriously for some reason and brushes it off. He says that he needs to continue his friendship with Foley. (79)
SEGMENT - We are watching a new video about Jeff Jarrett and Michael Hayes in Hollywood. The duo are on set again and continue to gather information about DDP. This time they are talking to the producer of the movie he will be in last. He says that DDP is incredibly demoralized and not giving himself to his job. The producer got angry and kicked him off the set and out of the project. When he continues to talk badly about DDP, Hayes gets very angry and almost attacks the producer. Jarrett holds him back. (69)
Davey Boy Smith (w/Owen Hart) defeated Red Hook Machine (w/Jesse Ventura) in 10:42 by pinfall with a Running Powerslam We see a great in-ring performance. Young Red Hook matches his opponent very well and gives a great performance. Davey wins the match despite Ventura's outside interference during the match. After the match, the other Unorthodox Cirice members come to ringside, but when Owen enters the ring and stands next to Davey, they stop entering the ring and attacking. (78)

Pretty good show with a great main event. I'm not particularly thrilled about Eddie vs. Sandoval, but that's mainly because I'm not a huge fan of Booker T (save for the King Booker gimmick), even though I like his gimmick in your diary.
The Crockett Cup is developing with wins from the obvious two guys, of course.
The DDP story is also developing and getting more interesting. It's your most "out of the box" thing currently, but I'm digging it!

SEGMENT - Before the next match, Scott Hudson interviews Pillman and Eddie. Pillman simply challenges everyone to the Crockett Cup tournament. AWA Championship Wrestling: Jesse Ventura's Birthday Special Episode 130 Monday, Week 3, September 1993
🎙️ Announcers - Rod Trongard, Eric Bischoff and Larry Zbyszko 🏟️ Attendance - 6,159 📺 Rating - 4.84 (3,151,890 viewers on DSF, TBS, Telelatino, WGN) ✍️ Show Grade - B+ (88)
🎖️ CHAMPIONS 🎖️ AWA World Heavyweight Title: Shawn Michaels AWA International Television Title: Eddie Guerrero AWA World Tag Team Titles: Unorthodox Cirice (King Kong Bundy and Red Hook Machine) AWA Texas Heavyweight Title: Red Hook Machine
SEGMENT - At the opening of the show, AWA president Bill Gagne and the members of Unorthodox Cirice come to the ring without Jesse Ventura. Gagne announces that he is dedicating this night to the birthday of the most important person in the company. We also learn that the show will be 90 minutes. Then he announces Jesse Ventura. Ventura comes to the ring wearing a very stylish tuxedo. There is a huge cake in the middle of the ring. The other UC members, especially Bill Gagne, give Ventura gifts one by one. Ventura's birthday continues to be celebrated under the boos of the audience. Finally, the cake cutting stage begins. Just as Ventura is about to cut the cake, Owen Hart comes out of the cake! While everyone is in shock, Owen quickly attacks them. After a while, Davey Boy Smith comes running from the audience and helps him. After clearing the ring of UC, they open the gifts given to Ventura and distribute them to the audience! As the party is ruined, Owen vs. King Kong Bundy match is announced for tonight. (93)
Crockett Cup Quarter Final | Mr. Sandman defeated Mudslide Bradshaw (w/Paul Ellering) in 7:04 by pinfall with a White Russian Legsweep With this match, the quarter-final matches of the tournament begin. Sandman, who has been very focused on the tournament from the beginning and even turned a blind eye to his title being vacated for this cause, successfully wins against his young opponent and earns his ticket to the semi-finals. Bradshaw's advancement to the quarter-finals is still a success. (69)
SEGMENT - We continue to follow Jeff Jarrett and Michael Hayes' Hollywood adventures. This time, they talk to the person who called them on the phone and called them about DDP. This person is DDP's new manager. They also hear what's going on from him. He again says that DDP is in a bad situation, that his leaving the AWA without winning the championship damaged his image in Hollywood, and that producers don't care about him like they used to. JJ and Hayes listen to what is being said with sadness. When they ask where DDP is now, they don't get a clear answer. No one has seen or heard from him in a long time. (80)
King Kong Bundy (w/Jesse Ventura and Red Hook Machine) defeated Owen Hart (w/Davey Boy Smith) in 8:07 by pinfall with an Avalanche We are watching a super match. Bundy is dominant throughout the match, but when Owen attacks towards the end, it raises the question of "will he win?" However, Ventura's interference from outside the ring is excessive. He seems extra angry because his birthday party was ruined at the beginning of the night. When Davey reacts to this, he argues with the referee. In the meantime, Red Hook goes up to the apron and nails Owen with the World Tag belt in his hand. Bundy finishes the job with Avalanche. (78)
SEGMENT - Gene Okerlund interviews James Sandoval, who will face Eddie for the International TV title tonight. Sandoval says that like everyone who came to this country illegally, he has “assimilated” and forgotten his true identity. Tonight, he will give him a big shock and remind him of his forgotten identity. (78)
PIPER'S PIT WITH RODDY PIPER - Ricky Steamboat is the guest in this episode. Piper says that he dedicated this episode to all Americans because he is proud of Steamboat and the sensitivity he showed towards the flag of this country last week. Steamboat also talks about how much he loves the United States. He says that he will not leave this land that embraced his ancestors to “foreign snots.” “The Great Muta, go back to where you came from and let this be over. Skandor Akbar, as for you. You don’t have much time. Without Muta, you will be nothing.” The segment receives very high ratings and a lot of applause. (89)
Crockett Cup Quarter Final | Mick Foley defeated Arn Anderson in 8:35 by pinfall with a Double Arm DDT Bob Backlund is nowhere to be seen during the match. Foley and Anderson put on a successful match. At the end, Backlund comes and helps Foley, just like in the first round, and in this way wins the match for him. Foley becomes the second person to advance to the semi-finals. (75)
THE NB SHOW WITH NICK BOCKWINKEL - The guest on this episode is AWA World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Michaels. He talks about Ventura's speeches from last week: Jesse thinks he has an army but he is sorely mistaken. ALL the wrestling fans that watch AWA shows are behind me, they are my army! Trust me Jesse, you and the freaks behind you will never beat that. Trust me! I want to thank Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith. They didn't leave me alone in this fight and I won't leave them either. And I want to give my fans in Canada some big news. I'll be there next week, Monday! I'll be visiting the legendary The Hart Dungeon. (92)
AWA International Television Championship | James Sandoval defeated Eddie Guerrero (c) in 16:22 by pinfall We watch a magnificent performance. The chemistry between the two is incredibly well-matched and we witness a match that is literally of PPV match quality. Both sides come close to pinning each other many times throughout the match, but they can't. The match goes back and forth between the two sides. At the end of the match, the referee is crushed and falls to the ground, caught between the two. Sandoval, who wants to take advantage of this situation, hits his opponent with a chair he got from outside the ring. He goes for the pin, but there is no referee to count. After a while, a new referee is assigned very quickly by the AWA management. The referee comes running into the ring and gives the pin. Sandoval shockingly wins the title! He experiences an incredible joy of victory. With this rating, the match is the best match of 1993 so far! (88)

Ah, the classic birthday cake surprise! I liked it.
Will Sandman be able to shut Gagne up and win the Crockett Cup? He'll probably be in the final.
DDP's whereabout is still a mystery... and that's interfering with JJ and Hayes' wrestling career, tbh! Will they realize it?
Yeah... the Unorthodox Cirice avenged Owen and Davey's little surprise in the very same night... impressive.
Impressive win by Foley and I'm curious to see HBK visit the Hart Dungeon.
Ugh, Booker won the International title. Eddie's reign was very small. I'm sure he'll still be in the title picture since he didn't lost cleanly, though.
