NEWSFormula One's officiating board announce the formation of a second tier racing series, Formula Two. The intention of this series is to give younger drivers a stage to exhibit their talent and develop alongside older drivers looking for a Formula One contract. The series will not currently be featuring any constructors, with all drivers being provided cars of the same build. It will also feature a lower minimum age of 17, allowing drivers to showcase their abilities before they are eligible for F1. Isaac Shaw has already confirmed he will be one of the drivers on the F2 grid for next season, stating the opportunity to showcase his talents without having to deal with a car that can't finish a race would be a much appreciated opportunity. Author's Note:
So I'm forming the lower division (Formula Two) to store younger drivers as there is about to be a big season of major drivers (4x 17yo and 2x 16 yo after) and deciding who to give contracts to is getting tough (it's not based on ratings normally but performance). In the first few seasons it was easy, but making the call for 1953 is going to be tough.
So the question now is for those reading is how much detail do you want me to go into. Just posting results at the end of the season? Quick race summaries? Full on posts like for F1?

About Formula Two, either quick race summaries or results at the end of the season. There's probably not the need for full posts.

NEWSReiner Hagedorn secures Formula One World Driver's Championship following his race win. This is first ever WDC and the second for his current, self-owned team Hagedorn-Rennen. While the team do also lead the Constructor's Championship, South African outfit Cape Town Racing still sit within reach with one race to go. With several young French drivers such as Bruno Vannier, Dominique Beauvilliers and Fabian Deniau submitting for entry onto the 1952 F2 grid, Frank Marchant was interview about whether he might be looking to sign one of these young drivers for 1953. Marchant claims to have full intentions of getting the best possible driver regardless of country, "Équipe de Course Marchant was formed to win races and championships. For this, we need the best drivers and while they are likely to be French, they will not necessarily be French." He went on to say that these drivers were inexperienced and given the how new his self-named team is, he would be looking for a more experienced driver to back him up. Rumours are spreading like wildfire after an interview with Tumelo Roux has lead to him stating he believes the car is not up to standard and more care has been given to the car of Joseph Sibisi than his own. He has also stated Gerhard De Kock, Cape Town Racing's owner, favours Sibisi over himself. De Kock has denied these claims when interviewed and has simply stated "we made the cars faster this year than they were last year and Roux has failed to adapt." Joseph Sibisi refused to comment, simply stating "I'm here to race, not talk to reporters."

Hagadorn absolutely dominated the 1951 season. The competition is bigger than ever next season and I'm pulling for Maple. I have good news and bad news OFF-SEASON NEWS Tumelo Roux has snubbed advances from Cape Town Racing to resign with the team, instead signing a 2-year deal to join Équipe de Course Marchant, stating the team as a better prospect for winning the WDC that he wants.
Maple Motorsports have been bought out by American business man Evan Simpson. In a recent interview Simpson has stated "We intend to bring a truly American team onto the F1 grid. Maple Motorsports is the start of something good, but it didn't have the backing to make it better." Reports state Simpson is building a new team head quarters in Vermont and has brought in a new team of engineers. One of the teams two drivers, Antenor Bezerra spoke on the take-over "Maple Motorsports was not up to par last season, the car was unreliable and fell apart every race. By the end of the season I was working on the car by myself to get it working properly. I had a better driver last year. This take-over can only do good things for the team and you can already see it with the car for next year."
Reports from Italy are coming in about a new entrant to the 1953 F1 Grid. No clear information has been giving yet about the supposedly Milan based outfit.
Cape Town Racing announce the signing of their new second driver in Cameron West. Gerhard De Kock had reported hoped to find another South African driver but failed to find any with the qualifications to enter F1. Joseph Sibisi has refused to comment on his new racing partner.
