NEWSBruno Vannier wins F2 GP in Spain ahead of Brazilian Carlos Coelho and American Isaac Shaw. This allows for Bruno Vannier to jump Joen Forsberg into the lead of the F2 Standings, with Nathaniel Crowe, Isaac Shaw and Fabian Deniau not far behind, it seems like a possible 5 car race for the championship. Reiner Hagedorn performs one of the most dominant displays in racing, lapping every single other car in the race to take the race with. Hagedorn had left many fans unimpressed as the 1951 WDC struggled to finish races, with many saying that he and teammate/1950 WDC Casper Maier had lost their edge. Despite sitting 4th in the Constructors Standing, this does mean Hagedorn-Rennen have currently won half of the GPs this season so far. Casper Maier announces he will not be resigning with Hagedorn-Rennen for the 1953 F1 Season, claims the cars the team were producing were dangerous. In his announcement Maier is quoted as saying "The speed of these cars is not worth the risk to my life". Some experts are claiming this may be due to Maier having signed a contract with Squadra Milano, however no evidence has been found.

So after realising that the tracks aren't randomised like they use to be, I've put in place track contracts for each of the 10 circuits I'm using, alongside ensuring there are 2 spare races for all track types (typically appearing for F2 races). Certain events such as major accidents (ones leading to driver deaths which I've made quite rare, but will happen) will lead to the complete removal of tracks following contract expiry, but otherwise most tracks will stay in rotation. All tracks were generated with lengths from 1-5 years (ending 1952-1956), but all of them got contracts to at least 1953. Below are the track types and associated GPs:
Normal: France, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Argentina City: Monaco, Italy, Chile Slow: Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Belgium Fast: USA, Brazil, New Zealand, Portugal Desert: Australia, South Africa, Morocco Forest: Germany, Sweden, Denmark
How are you simulating these?

The simulator has a preset cycle of track types your season runs through. I've just given them names of countries and used a random number generator to control the contracts length. At the start of each season any spots on the calendar without a track will have a random GP of the correct type selected and placed in that spot with a new contract for that GP also generated.

NEWSA third win in Germany see Reiner Hagedorn jump up to 1st in the driver's standings, with Hagedorn-Rennen moving up to 3rd, now just 7 points shy of British Lions Autosport, who currently lead the Constructors Standings, with just 3 races left in the season it's shaping up to be a close race for the title. Evan Simpson has announced as part of the All American Racing rebrand, the team will be looking to sign an American driver to race from the 1953 season. Current favourites for the seats are Isaac Shaw, who has been having an impressive run in F2, and Aidan Watson, the top privateer in F1 right now. The biggest shock of this is the release of Antenor Bezerra, who had been very impressive for all of this season. F1 odds makers have quickly made Bezerra the favourite to claim the open Hagedorn-Rennen seat next season.

NEWSChaos at the British Grand Prix as a final lap between German driver and reigning champion Reiner Hagedorn and British rookie Orion Smith costs Hagedorn his second world championship and British Lions Autosport the drivers championship on debut. Despite Casper Maier taking home the race with and the 6th of the season for Hagedorn-Rennen, it's clear the team are not happy. Tension is even higher in the British Lions paddock as Antenor Bezerra overtaking Eduard Robertson on the final straight only moments after Orion Smith and Reiner Hagedorn's collision. Even the atmosphere at Maple Motorsports was not all high spirits as the Canadian fans were seeing their team come to an end ahead of a move to the US, while the new WDC could potentially be out of a seat for 1953. Racing veteran Cassius Price announces his immediate retirement. Despite his retirement, the British driver has promised to leave his mark on F1. A shock F1 retirement comes as young French driver Dominique Beauvilliers quits to sport in pursuit of other passions. While the young driver hadn't had an impressive debut, many felt the 17-year-old had more to give to the sport. Italian driver Medoro Cerami admits that F1 has been incorrectly spelling his name for the past 3-years. F1 governing body confirms this and states that new methods will be put in place to try and prevent this error from repeating. Driver's Championship

1953 Formula One Grid Preview All American RacingDriver 1: Sterling Lambton (1954) Driver 2: Isaac Shaw (1953) Following a successful buy-out of Canadian outfit Maple Motorsports, Evan Simpson's All American Racing has found success and controversy, winning the WDC and CC in 1952 while also ditching Champion driver Antenor Bezerra for F2 Champion Isaac Shaw and moving the Canadian team onto American soil. Whether these were the right call remains to be seen.
British Lions Autosport
Driver 1: Orion Smith (1954) Driver 2: Eduard Robertson (1953) What was almost the fairy-tale debut turned into a nightmare for Joel Pearce's team as a collision and last minute overtake saw the rookie team end up 3 points short of winning the Constructor's title. This season the team looks to build on their success to actual walk of with the Championship.Cape Town RacingDriver 1: Joseph Sibisi (1953) Driver 2: Cameron West (1953) 1952 was a disappointing season for Gerhard De Kock's South African outfit, as the team fell to bottom of the constructors standings and with both driver contracts expiring at the end of the season, there is a major risk of losing star driver Sibisi at the end of the season in a similar vein to the loss of Tumelo Roux.Équipe de Course Marchant
Driver 1: Frank Marchant (1957+) Driver 2: Tumelo Roux (1953) A decent debut for Frank Marchant's self named team saw them finish within 30 points of the title. While not as strong as fellow debutants British Lions, the team still looks strong with Tumelo Roux a great driver to race alongside Marchant, many wonder if Frank isn't looking to replace him with form champion Casper Maier for 1954.Hagedorn-Rennen
Driver 1: Reiner Hagedorn (1957+) Driver 2: Aidan Watson (1954) The German outfit is coming in 1953 following a confusing campaign in which the team won over half the seasons races but a mass of unfinished races left the team in 3rd place and prevented Reiner Hagedorn winning back to back WDCs. Many are interested to see how Watson stacks up against a former champion following an impressive privateer season.Squadra Milano
Driver: Medoro Cerami (1957) Driver: Joen Forsberg (1955) Matroniano Arico's Italian outfit seem more than happy to give driver's the time to develop with long contracts as both driver's have signed long term deals. New debuts on the F1 grid, it'll be interesting to see where the team stacks up.Privateers
Driver 1: Casper Maier Driver 2: Benjamin Winkler Driver 3: Joel Hayes Driver 4: Odin McCoy Driver 5: Eliano Croci Driver 6: Kai Allen Driver 7: Bruno Vannier Driver 8: Fabian Deniau If there was ever a season that a privateer needs to show their talent, this is it. With 13 seats opening up for 1954 and 8 historically strong (or at least decent) driver's will be looking to claim these spots, with long term privateers Croci, Hayes, Allen and Winkler competing against former members of team (McCoy and Maier) and new debutants (Vannier and Deniau) in the hopes of getting a proper contract and competitive car for next season.
