Hopefully your playing as the owner, because if not Fritz may resign Brody without you knowing about it. I don't know if that happens in TEW 2020. I know for fact it happens in TEW 2016. No, I am just the booker... well gosh, I hope that doesn't happen!

I'm a HUGE fan of the Ultimate Jeopardy concept, so I look forward to know what's in stake for each competitor involved in the match. Me too and I don't get why it was never used by anyone else consistently after ECW folded

November 5th - November 11th 1983
- Michael Hayes is now back at 100%. Nobody else is injured at the moment, as Kerry von Erich's problems are just a work
- As mentioned, the Sportatorium can now sit 15100 fans and the next show should then set a new record
- Bill Mercer and Iceman Parson have heat for some reason and don't seem to like each other. I won't really waste much time for this, as none of them is a key member of the roster to be honest, the first one to create issues will be shown the door
- News from the wrestling world: it's been a quiet week, except for GCW: they have increased their production values and hired a few wrestlers, like Randy Savage and Kevin Sullivan
WCCW TV 11.11.1983 Dallas, TX Attendance: 15080 TV rating: 0.62 Show rating: 79
Ricky Morton (w/ Robert Gibson) vs. Great Kabuki (w/ Magic Dragon and Arman Hussein) ends in a double DQ in 4:12 when The Freebirds enter the ring furiously and the referee drags the competitors away to avoid violence! (56)
Postmatch The Freebirds cut a promo on the von Erichs and Terry Funk, saying that they only use shortcuts and the only reason why Hayes lost the title is his broken wrist, but he wants his rematch tonight! Gary Hart steps in and says that a monthly title defence will take place tonight indeed, but it will be the Six Men Tag Titles, when the Freebirds give a rematch to Funk, Hansen and Brody, this time in a No DQ match! (73)
Tommy Rich def. Dennis Condrey (w/ Bobby Eaton) in 8:07 when Mr. X stops Eaton’s interference and this leads to Rich winning. During the match, Gary Hart signs Rich/Adams vs. MNX for Star Wars, saying that both teams want a title shot, but Adams is still out after receiving the mist (69)
On stage Bill Mercer interviews Terry Taylor, who’s sick about Ted DiBiase constantly mocking him and creeping on Sherri, if he wants to make it personal then so be it. Bobby Heenan interrupts him and says that actually DiBiase wants a business relationship, he’s missing a lackey and a s*** in his collection! Taylor has enough and slaps Heenan, who quickly disappears! (76)
The Fantastics def. Tito Santana & Brian Adias in 6:55 when Rogers pins Adias. Tito Santana is on the apron for the hot tag, but Jimmy Garvin arrives and knocks him off the apron, causing his team to lose. Sunshine seems quite sad about this (71)
On stage Bill Mercer interviews Kevin and David von Erich, explaining the rules of the Gauntlet Cage Match and also describing what every competitor will put on the line (MORE OF THIS ON THE FULL CARD). The von Erichs says that it’s a big risk, but the winner also get a wish fulfilled and they both wish to become World Champions! (83)
WCCW Six Men Tag Titles No DQ Match: The Fabolous Freebirds (c) def. Stan Hansen, Bruiser Brody & Terry Funk in 15:10 when Hayes pins Brody (80)
Postmatch The Freebirds hit a triple piledriver on Brody, who ends up hitting a pile of chairs! Hansen, Funk and von Erich try to make the save but it’s too late and Hansen checks on Brody while the Freebirds run for their lives! (84)
Show notes
- So yeah, Brody has been written out of TV with the postmatch angle, but more on this next week!
- It's worth mentioning how all my matches and angles in the main event are generally always good, but only excel (85+) when the von Erichs are involved
- Heenan cut a great promo on Taylor, who's improving a lot with his character
- The fans didn't really like the non finish and short amount of time dedicated to the opener, I was trying something out and it didn't work as much as I wanted it too
- Rich and Eaton have good chemistry, so the tag match at Star Wars should deliver
WCCW Thanksgiving Star Wars 28.11.1983
- Gauntlet Cage Match: Terry Funk (title), Stan Hansen (90 days without title shots), Bruiser Brody (leaves WCCW for 90 days) & Kevin von Erich (3 vs. 1 match against Freebirds) vs. Michael Hayes (wrestles Funk with hands tied behind his back), Buddy Roberts (leaves Freebirds), King Kong Bundy (Akbar leaves WCCW for 90 days) & Dick Murdoch (hair) - Texas Death Match: David von Erich vs. Terry Gordy - WCCW American Tag Titles: Great Kabuki & Magic Dragon (c) vs. Rock & Roll Express - Tommy Rich & Chris Adams vs. Midnight Express

The card for Thanksgiving Star Wars is shaping up. I think the heels will win and Kevin von Erich will be pinned, as the 3 vs 1 beating will make him even more popular.

November 12th - 18th
- Bruiser Brody has officially left WCCW after being written out of TV at the last show. As mentioned earlier, the split was still somewhat amicable even though he wasn't happy about his booking and I wasn't happy about his performances. Brody still works for CState and might be brought back in the future for a sporadic occasion, but I will definitely not use him again on a permanent basis
- Talk about karma... Kerry von Erich was supposed to come back from his work injury to replace Brody and he got actually injured while training! Kerry will be out for a whole month now, but will thankfully be back on time for Christmas Star Wars
- After a long long long negotiation, Terry Funk has agreed to a written contract and will be with us for 1 year! Signing Funk is key for the next steps and everyone backstage loves him. Funk also moved back to Texas from Japan for the occasion
- News from the wrestling world: quiet week, apart from the fact that IWA has been given a very last warning from the bank...
WCCW TV 18.11.1983 Dallas, TX Attendance: 14636 TV rating: 0.66 Show rating: 85
Tommy Rich & Rock & Roll Express def. Great Kabuki, Checkmate & Magic Dragon (w/ Arman Hussein) in 7:04 when Morton pins Checkmate. Midnight Express try to interfere during the match, but the babyfaces prevent it (70)
Postmatch Bill Mercer interviews Rich on stage and asks him about Chris Adams, Rich hopes he will be on the ring for Star Wars as they want their titles back. Mr. X steps in again and offers Rich to tag with him as an act of friendship and again Rich declines the offer (72)
Non Title Match: Ted DiBiase (w/ Bobby Heenan) def. Brian Adias in 7:50. During the match Terry Taylor arrives at ringside with bad intentions, but stops when Sherri begs him to stop. On commentary, Gary Hart confirms DiBiase vs. Taylor for the Texas Title at Star Wars! (70)
On stage Bill Mercer interviews Stan Hansen, Terry Funk, Kevin and David von Erich. Bruiser Brody is out for good and they need a 4th man for the Gauntlet Cage Match, which will have to inherit Brody’s jeopardy, so 90 days away from WCCW and that is why nobody offered so far. David says he would love to step up, but Gary Hart doesn’t let him as he’s already wrestling Terry Gordy on the show! (77)
King Kong Bundy & Dick Murdoch (w/ Skandor Akbar) def. Bugsy McGraw & Tim Brooks in 3:11 when Bundy pins McGraw. The Freebirds harass the announcers and say that, with Devastation Inc. on their side, there’s no way they will lose the Gauntlet Cage Match! (65)
In ring Bill Mercer interviews Tito Santana, who is enjoying his time in WCCW so far, but doesn’t understand why Jimmy Garvin has an issue with him. Garvin arrives without Sunshine and says that Santana is flirting with his valet and nobody can do that! Santana suggests that Garvin is upset because he was beaten at the last Star Wars and Garvin freaks out and leaves yelling that this isn’t over! (73)
Stan Hansen def. Terry Gordy in 9:58 with a lariat and a flashy pinfall (88)
Postmatch The Freebirds and Devastation Inc. run to the ring to assault Hansen! Funk, Kevin and David von Erich try to make the save, but it’s 5 versus 3 and the heels beatdown the babyfaces as the show comes to an end! (86)
Show notes
- Hansen vs. Gordy was a fantastic main event, I surely won't mind a long feud between the two down the line! Announcing it beforehand had a great impact and the rating was 0.66, my best ever so far!
- The crowd was also into the final beatdown, as usual, selling the 5 vs. 3 attack on the babyfaces. The last 15 minutes of the show helped making this one of the best episodes of the year
- McGraw and Brooks sold really well for Bundy and Murdoch, they made them look like stars
- DiBiase got a great match out of the always reliable Adias. Sherri and Taylor killed it as a pairing, as usual
- I am extremely pleased with the quality and how over the midcard storylines are getting, the crowd loved the opener and it was a good match too
WCCW Thanksgiving Star Wars 28.11.1983 - Gauntlet Cage Match: Terry Funk (title), Stan Hansen (90 days without title shots), ??? (leaves WCCW for 90 days) & Kevin von Erich (3 vs. 1 match against Freebirds) vs. Michael Hayes (wrestles Funk with hands tied behind his back), Buddy Roberts (leaves Freebirds), King Kong Bundy (Akbar leaves WCCW for 90 days) & Dick Murdoch (hair) - Texas Death Match: David von Erich vs. Terry Gordy - NWA Texas Heavyweight Title: Ted DiBiase (c) vs. Terry Taylor - WCCW American Tag Titles: Great Kabuki & Magic Dragon (c) vs. Rock & Roll Express - Tommy Rich & Chris Adams vs. Midnight Express

Another killer show with an amazing main event. I wonder who'll be replacing Bruiser Brody in the Gauntlet Cage Match, as all the Von Erichs are either busy or sidelined. Signing Funk is a major step.

November 19th - November 25th 1983
- In tragic news, Luke Williams of the Sheepherders has passed away after falling into a wood chipper
- The news of the week for WCCW is the heat between Kevin von Erich and Bobby Fulton. Apparently, Kevin also influenced Robert Gibson, who now seems to dislike Fulton himself. I will keep this monitored and hope that no one will be unprofessional, the overall backstage morale is still really high
- Joe Blanchard has been hired as a road agent and seemed to have no heat with me or anyone else after the little promotional war between us and SWCW
- Bruiser Brody is still working in CState despite how his stint finished and just main evented an All Japan show against Baba, so I guess he didn't suffer at all
- Great Kabuki asked for a raise and I was happy to give it to him, as him and his group are doing really well. He's now making $350 per appearance
- News from the wrestling world: MACW drew 20000 fans for Starrcade 1983, Roddy Piper defeated Ric Flair in the main event; Antonio Inoki suffers from spinal disc hernia and will miss 1 year of action; David Sammartino was injured after an incident at a circus wtf
WCCW TV 25.11.1983 Dallas, TX Attendance: 15084 TV rating: 0.64 Show rating: 80
Tommy Rich & Mr. X def. The Fantastics in 8:19 when X pins Rogers. Rich works with X reluctantly, but then gives him the hot tag that leads to the victory (62)
Postmatch Bill Mercer interviews Rich and X, announcing that Chris Adams won’t make it at Star Wars due to the mist and so Gary Hart has decided that X will replace him, wrestling with Rich against the Midnight Express! Rich isn’t too happy and says that all he wants is to win the match so he and Adams, not X, can get a title shot at the American Tag Team Titles! (61)
Tito Santana def. Bret Hart in 6:55. Jimmy Garvin is at the announcing table for this match and forces Sunshine to turn her back from the ring. Hart confirms Santana vs. Garvin for Star Wars (70)
On stage Bill Mercer interviews the Rock & Roll Express, who can’t wait for their title match at Star Wars. MNX arrive at the stage and challenge R&R to a fight, but it’s a trap and Great Kabuki and Magic Dragon jump R&R from behind! (62)
Ted DiBiase & Bill Irwin (w/ Bobby Heenan) def. Terry Taylor & Brian Adias in 7:08 when Irwin rolls up Adias, while Taylor chases DiBiase outside the ring (70)
Taped video of Stan Hansen getting into the sportatorium in the afternoon and getting ambushed by King Kong Bundy and Dick Murdoch! Hansen grabs a bin bag to defend himself, Devastation Inc. backs off but some damage has been made! (81)
Davin von Erich & Kevin von Erich def. Michael Hayes & Buddy Roberts in 15:00 when David rolls up Hayes (83)
Taped Terry Funk promo from his ranch, his team is down 4 vs. 3 and he was brutally attacked last week. Even Stan Hansen has been assaulted and the von Erichs are not 100% either. He needs a partner, the only man in the world that will accept to fight this match knowing that he will have to stop wrestling WCCW for 90 days if he loses it. Dory Funk Jr. sits next to his brother and says that he will step in! He hasn’t forgiven the Freebirds for all the disrespect he received and he will make sure somebody will face the consequences! (87)
Show notes
- 15084 is the new attendance record for a TV show
- Terry cut a really great promo and Dory was good as a support. Just like last January, he's the most logical and convenient replacement
- Bret Hart made his TV debut and looked really good against Santana. Bret will go back to CState for now, but his future seems really bright
- Dusek has praised Bill Irwin, once again him and Adias are reliable and valuable, I will reward them accordingly with a match at Star Wars
- Rich was off his game and by far the worst performer in the opener, which doesn't impress me at all
WCCW Thanksgiving Star Wars 28.11.1983 - Gauntlet Cage Match: Terry Funk (title), Stan Hansen (90 days without title shots), Dory Funk Jr. (leaves WCCW for 90 days) & Kevin von Erich (3 vs. 1 match against Freebirds) vs. Michael Hayes (wrestles Funk with hands tied behind his back), Buddy Roberts (leaves Freebirds), King Kong Bundy (Akbar leaves WCCW for 90 days) & Dick Murdoch (hair) - Texas Death Match: David von Erich vs. Terry Gordy - NWA Texas Heavyweight Title: Ted DiBiase (c) vs. Terry Taylor - WCCW American Tag Titles: Great Kabuki & Magic Dragon (c) vs. Rock & Roll Express - Tito Santana vs. Jimmy Garvin - Tommy Rich & Chris Adams vs. Midnight Express - Bill Irwin vs. Brian Adias

15.000+ fans for a TV Show while Starrcade draws 20.000+ (with an awesome main event, btw) is great.
I'm also happy to see Bret Hart in WCCW and the major feuds developing. I'm not the biggest fan of keeping the jeopardy for Dory Funk Jr., but it's just a detail.
Poor Luke Williams. The wood chipper kills another wrestling legend, after Moppy's death.
WCCW Thanksgiving Star Wars 28.11.1983 - Gauntlet Cage Match: Terry Funk (title), Stan Hansen (90 days without title shots), Dory Funk Jr. (leaves WCCW for 90 days) & Kevin von Erich (3 vs. 1 match against Freebirds) vs. Michael Hayes (wrestles Funk with hands tied behind his back), Buddy Roberts (leaves Freebirds), King Kong Bundy (Akbar leaves WCCW for 90 days) & Dick Murdoch (hair) - Texas Death Match: David von Erich vs. Terry Gordy - NWA Texas Heavyweight Title: Ted DiBiase (c) vs. Terry Taylor - WCCW American Tag Titles: Great Kabuki & Magic Dragon (c) vs. Rock & Roll Express - Tito Santana vs. Jimmy Garvin - Tommy Rich & Chris Adams vs. Midnight Express - Bill Irwin vs. Brian Adias
