CURRENT CHAMPIONS
- WCCW World Heavyweight Champion: Ric Flair
- WCCW Texas Heavyweight Champion: Ted DiBiase
- WCCW World Tag Team Champions: The Midnight Express
- WCCW World Six Men Tag Team Champions: The Fabulous Freebirds
April 19th - 25th 1984
- Last weekend, Ric Flair worked a CWF show (losing to Scott McGhee). This match was somewhat historic, as it's the last time that a World Class athlete was allowed to work for a NWA promotion, due to decision I took last week. As mentioned, there has been a bit of tension between myself and the NWA promotions, but no major fallout or drama so far
- While turnover is going up, I am also investing a bit of money. Firstly, I opened the World Class dojo in Texas. It costed me $250.000, but it will hopefully be useful to train and scout talents
- Also, I spent a bit of cash on CState. Now that I am basically by myself, I need to rely on them to train and develop some of the young stars that I have signed to a long term contract. I improved CState's production values, allowing them to find a local TV deal. This way, talents will wrestle at least twice a week and will get some kind of expousore. I usually pay CState debts monthly and it's around $5.000, while it was around $40.000 this time around due to the production upgrades
- Speaking of CState, a new team has debuted: The Midnight Rockers. Hopefully they will do well...
- News from the wrestling world: Tony Atlas left the WWF and buried Vince McMahon all over the media; Ray Stevens has gone bankrupt

Kerry von Erich (w/ Kevin von Erich) def. Chavo Guerrero in 8:28 with the claw (75)
Postmatch Bill Mercer interviews the von Erichs, that are willing to put their differences aside and finally get the big win they need against the Freebirds. Gary Hart interrupts them to announce that there have been a lot of shenanigans going on, so tonight no physicality will be allowed on the show (apart from the matches) or the wrestlers involved will be suspended. The von Erichs don't seem happy (78)
Chris Adams (w/ Tommy Rich) def. Dick Murdoch (w/ King Kong Bundy and Skandor Akbar) in 5:45 with a roll up after Bundy punches Murdoch by mistake (65)
On stage Bill Mercer interviews Magnum TA and Terry Taylor, who are sure that they will beat the Rock & Roll Express at Star Wars. When asked about their rivals, Tito Santana and Brian Adias, facing Mr. X and Tully Blanchard in the first round, Magnum says that they're such a pair of bad teams that they shouldn't even be in the tournament (61)
Stan Hansen & Rock & Roll Express def. Ted DiBiase & Midnight Express (w/ Bobby Heenan) in 10:06 when Hansen pins Eaton after a lariat. MNX try to leave the match, but the Fantastics stop them by standing in front of them (84)
On stage Bill Mercer interviews The Funks, who crap all over the Freebirds, saying that what they are trying to do with the von Erichs is a shame and they will beat them up with pleasure at Star Wars. The Freebirds arrive on stage for a confrontation, but security gets in the middle and Hart reminds them to avoid any physicality (77)
WCCW World Heavyweight Title: Ric Flair (c) (w/ Bobby Heenan) def. Michael Hayes in 12:00 when Flair reverses a roll up and holds the ropes for leverage. Buddy Roberts watches the match from ringside, but security ask him to leave the area to avoid any incident (83)
Postmatch Flair is exhausted, while the Birds, the Funks, Hansen and the von Erichs stare at him! Flair leaves the ring and seems concerned... they are all coming for his title! (85)
Show notes
- I am quite happy, because I did my all time best attendance and TV rating here!
- Once again, the road agents were impressed with how over Flair is getting. Him and Hayes had a good match, even though it was a heel vs. heel contest, as the fans were really into it
- Hansen also received a lot of praises for his work in the six men match, he was the MVP of the bout (and considering the other competitors, that's saying a lot)
- Chavo Guerrero could be a good addition for CState, where his brother Hector already wrestles, or maybe even the main roster?
- Magnum TA is performing really well, but the chemistry between him and Taylor is not the best
