- As teased, the WWF has declared war on me! No offence to MSW, but this is a bigger deal compared to Bill Watts having problems with me. No idea why this happened, as me and Vince McMahon had a non-aggression pact. On the 8th, Vince called to inform me that our agreement was off the table and that the hostility would start. I always pictured the WWF getting big on the east coast and for me to thrive on the west coast, but I did technically quit the NWA and been running house shows in their yard, so they were probably not happy. Am I worried, though? Not really, at least for now. Whatever KPIs we use (TV ratings, attendance, money in the bank, presence in the US), I am ahead of them. Plus, I can say I have about 10/12 stars (Von Erichs, Freebirds, Flair, Funks, Hansen, Bundy, DiBiase), while they have only Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, which are quite over, but it's only the 2 of them. The WWF has also been offering exclusive deals to some talents for a few months now and this week they signed Jim Duggan and Jerry Blackwell as well. Again, not my favourite guys or the most talented. I will, however, need to be more aggressive when it comes to keeping my talents once their contracts are expiring
- Speaking of contracts, the outstanding 3 offers I made have been accepted: Jimmy Garvin (2 years exclusive deal), Brian Adias (1 year exclusive deal) and Magic Dragon (PPA deal). Dragon has been sent to CState, as mentioned before, he will work with the young talents and be brought back to TV every now and then
- Another company is closing down and it's a big one: Stu Hart is retiring next month and Stampede Wrestling will close once he is done. I am quite surprised, as I was expecting for one of his sons to take over the company, but that won't happen. I had a look at the roster and I am not signing anybody from them (I already took Dynamite Kid, Davey Boy Smith, Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart in the last few months)
- Buddy Roberts will be missing the next TV show due to a minor injury. After last week's angle, that can easily be arranged storyline wise as it's time for von Erichs and Freebirds to comment on his decision
- News from the wrestling world: MSW hired Jake Roberts and he went over with a hot catchphrase on his debut; The Sheik passed away at the age of 57; CWA lost their TV deal due to poor ratings

Show quality: 87
Kerry von Erich (w/ Kevin von Erich) def. Michael Hayes (w/ Terry Gordy and Jimmy Garvin) by DQ in 10:04 when the referee catches Gordy hitting Kerry (80)
Postmatch The Freebirds push Bill Mercer away and get his microphone. Hayes says that the Birds are fools if they think they can trust Buddy Roberts! Maybe he's genuine, but he will lead to their loss because he is not good enough to be a Freebird. Or maybe he's just faking and will turn on them. Either way, the Freebirds will leave Parade of Champions with the belts! (84)
Tito Santana (w/ Sunshine) def. Terry Taylor (w/ Sherri) by pinfall in 7:10 after a crossbody. During the match, Magnum TA makes his way down the ramp and Santana invites him in the ring, but Magnum just watches. Gary Hart announces that Santana and Magnum will fight at Parade of Champions! (75)
On stage Bill Mercer interviews Devastation Inc. and Skandor Akbar talks about how his guys are the most dominant force in WCCW, but they don't get enough chances! Bobby Heenan interrupts the interview and asks Akbar to go to the Four Horsemen locker room to talk about business! (72)
The Fantastics draw Rock & Roll Express by double DQ at 7:00 when Midnight Express arrive to the ring and jump both Rogers and Gibson, then quickly running away (71)
On stage Bill Mercer interviews Tommy Rich, who is upset for Mr. X sticking his nose in their business. He stepped in when Chris Adams was blinded my the mist and they thanked him, but that's enough now. Chris Adams joins and asks Rich to keep it quiet and address it peacefully in the locker room. Mr. X also arrives and seems sorry that Rich is so rude to him, then challenges him to fight next week and Rich agrees! Adams seems reluctant (66)
#1 Contender: Stan Hansen def. Dory Funk Jr. and Terry Funk by pinfall at 11:21 when he pins Dory with a lariat. Ric Flair joins the announcers table during the match. During the match, Devastation Inc. and Ted DiBiase hit the ring trying to attack everybody and cause another no-contest, but the babyfaces are quick to grab chairs to defend themselves! Referees push Bundy and Murdoch away, while DiBiase hits Dory with the black glove and the unaware Hansen pins Dory with a lariat! (90)
Postmatch Flair is furious and yells at DiBiase that they were supposed to hit everyone, not just Dory! DiBiase says that he did what it was asked, it's Devastation Inc's fault because they were supposed to do the rest! Their argument is stopped, because Hansen and Terry help Dory to his feet and Hansen celebrates... he will face Flair at Parade of Champions! (90)
Show notes
- Yay! The critics loved this show this time around, the 87 rating is the best one I have ever got. What pleases me is that I am not only just relying on Birds and von Erichs to pop a big rating, now the fans also see others as real stars and so this will make things better. More feuds and combinations will be appealing, the house shows are clearly helping as some of my guys are getting more popular outside of the Mid South area
- Also, Bravo is paying some dividends with a 0.97 rating. I can't wait to get a 1.0 ratign!
- Speaking of the show, the triple threat is my match of the year so far. Funks and Hansen together against the Horsemen make total sense, but they will do absolutely great in the future if they will ever feud. I am also thinking of lots of combinations I can explore with my current roster...
- Once again, Flair was super over and Hansen had a great performance in the main event
- Might be a coincidence, but this time around Birds and von Erichs had another good segment, now that Buddy Roberts was only vaguely mentioned by Hayes
- Nice to see that Chris Adams is improving his promos, he carried the segment with Rich and X
